1 Sermons
Achille Blaize (1941 – 2022) was a Dominican-born British preacher and pastor whose ministry spanned decades, marked by a deep commitment to biblical preaching and church planting within Baptist circles. Born in Dominica, West Indies, to a Roman Catholic family, he arrived in England in 1962, settling in East London. Initially unfamiliar with Scripture, he was converted through an open-air gospel message, joining East London Tabernacle, where he served as a deacon and district evangelist before being called as assistant pastor to Paul Tucker from 1967 to 1972. Blaize’s preaching career expanded when he moved to Trinity Baptist Church in Montville, New Jersey, from 1972 to 1975, then returned to England as a missionary sent by Trinity to plant Grace Baptist Church in Stratford, London, in 1975. His sermons, rooted in the 1689 London Baptist Confession, emphasized repentance and Christ’s sufficiency, delivered at Buckingham Chapel, Aber Conference, and beyond until ill health curtailed his work in his final years. A lifelong friend of Albert Martin after meeting at a Banner of Truth conference, he remained a joyful witness to his Savior. Married with family details private, Blaize died at age 81, leaving a legacy of faithful gospel proclamation and pastoral care.
