I can't tell you why he put this on my heart, but the Holy Spirit sent me to my office and said, get it and preach it. And so I'm going to do that. Now I want you to go to Proverbs 6 chapter. A familiar verse you've heard me repeat many times in this pulpit. Proverbs 6. 6 chapter of Proverbs. One verse we're going to read. Powerful verse. I'm sorry, 626. Proverbs 626. For by means of a whorish woman, a man is brought to a piece of bread. And here's my message. And the adulteress will hunt for what? The precious life. And the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. The Lord has made it very clear to me that there are some people here tonight that need this message. And before I'm done, I want you to be able to walk out of this church tonight, understanding again how precious you are in the sight of God. Before I came into the service, I sat in the back of the office and I just began to drink it in. The Holy Spirit was speaking to my heart. How precious I am to the Lord. How precious he is to me and how precious I am to the Lord. Until you understand your preciousness, and how he loves you, and how he just hovers over you, and how he's concerned about everything in your life, you can't really make it in these last days. Heavenly Father, I pray that this evangelistic message tonight will touch the hearts of those you intended to touch. Lord, you promised me sitting in the chair right over here just a few moments ago that you would anoint this, that you had this message prepared tonight, that there are those that are coming, that are going to be in the service tonight that need it, and even some who've heard it way back, Lord, are going to have to be stirred once again so that this truth will not be lost. Sanctify me. Oh God, let the blood of Jesus Christ sanctify our ears to hear it too. Lord, speak mightily, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen. You've heard of the hound to heaven? We're talking about the hunter from hell tonight. Talk to you about, first of all, an angel who was one of the most spectacular of all the angels, and he turned against God in pride. He was renamed Belial, or Satan. But before he was cast out of heaven for his pride, and this is what amazes me, how he could seduce one-third of all the angels of heaven. Now, this had to be some kind of an angel. This had to be some seductive creature that he could go in to the purest, holiest creation on earth, the holiest of holies, and how this angel could seduce, in a sinless environment, how he could seduce one-third of the angels and bring them down into the pits. It's incomprehensible to the human mind. You talk about seductive power of Satan. This is where it began. How thou art fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning. Thy pomp, meaning your majestic pride, is brought down to the grave. Now, when he was brought down, he became a type of an adulteress, a seductress who seduces. And that is what Lucifer means, a seducer, a seductress, an adulteress who tries to seduce God's people. And the Bible says the adulteress, that's the devil, will hunt for the precious light. He goes after those who are the most beloved, the most valuable in the sight of God. In fact, the word precious here in Greek is interpreted valuable, beloved, most highly esteemed, the dearest, those most highly regarded for their spiritual and moral quality. The devil goes after those who have the most potential for God. He's a roaring lion, goes about seeking the precious light. Let me tell you, folks, even though some of these things in my mind that I tell you about tonight are back a number of years ago, I've never forgotten them. I think of these precious souls that I have met over the ministry years that God has called me. I met a young lady before service tonight. I think she said she met us in a crusade in 1974. Some of you attended our crusades, or you read the Cross and Switchblade, you know the background of this ministry. I was reliving it today. Some of those precious five teenagers up in Harlem years ago, I was told that there was a deaf mute gang and that they were all heroin addicts. And they took me and a young man that knew sign language took me into a little dilapidated room in Harlem. And there in the corner was a teenage girl, pretty little girl, probably 15, 16 years of age. And we went into the room and four other young mutes, deaf mutes came into the room and they were all signing to one another. They could not speak, they could not hear. Fortunately, they could see. But I had been in many shooting galleries, but to watch five teenagers who were, they could not speak, they could not hear. And to see them boiling this stuff and sticking it in their vein and then be told that they supported their habit by mugging and robbing and stealing and that there were a whole gang of 16, 18 of them in Queens, I believe it was. And they were part of that gang coming into Harlem to cop their drugs. And I sat there and watched it. And then, with the interpreter through signage, able to witness to these children. Folks, I remember my own thoughts at that moment. Lord, there's enough hell with them not being able to speak, not being able to talk, not being able to hear. That's hell enough. But how is it the devil was able to get these kids when they were so young? I think the girl started when she was 12 years old. And how? Why? How did it happen other than the fact that the devil, the seductress, goes after the precious life? I remember leaving that shooting gallery, remembering how I felt, how precious those young people were. I lost touch. I was never able to go back there because they were from the Queens. But I remember feeling that, oh God, and tears in my eyes when I walked out, how precious those young people are. Not just because they're deaf or mute, but because they seem so innocent. They were not killers. And all they were doing, really trying to support their habit. I remember in Brooklyn, a teen challenge, going in the Red Hook 6 district to pick up a teenage boy. He said he was desperate, and I went to pick him up. And I went up a flight of stairs. It's just like it was yesterday. The mother's out on drugs. There's no father in the home. And I'm taking this boy. He has a few belongings, and we are about to leave. And I look back, and there are two little children sitting on a couch, three, four years of age. Little girl, little boy. I said, what about them? They said, this food there, and on the kitchen table was a quart of warm milk and some Oreo cookies. I said, well, where's your mother? They said, well, we don't know. I said, you're leaving now, and you're going to leave these children. He said, they watch themselves. They take care of themselves. Three and four years old. Folks, that's the time the devil goes after. That's the precious life that Satan goes after. We went back later, but the mother didn't want us to interfere with the children. She as well as said, leave me alone, let me do it my way. There was a preacher. Somebody got a pastor from Brooklyn, came to my office with two sons, two teenagers. This man put his hat on my desk. He said, Pastor, I never thought in the world in my lifetime I'd be here in your office. I've heard you preach. I've read your books. I know all about your ministry. He said, and I preached against drugs. I preached against sin in my pulpit, and I was called this week down to the police station. They had my two sons, and they had them for possession and pushing heroin. They rolled up their sleeves and showed the marks on my boys' arms, and I discovered my two boys were heroin addicts. And he began to weep. I remember him getting down on his knees. He said, Brother Dave, I don't know what I did wrong. I have no idea what I did wrong. These boys were brought up in Sunday school. They used to sing the songs. They used to love the Lord. They got in with the wrong crowd, and I remember they were sitting in two chairs opposite my desk. He got in the middle and turned, weeping to both of them. He said, Please, let Brother Dave help you. Come into the center here. Please, you're killing your mother. She's going to die over this. The mother had suspected marijuana. She'd found something in the boys' trousers when she was washing, but didn't suspect they were mainliners. He fell on the floor prostrate because those boys just looked at their father with an absolute hardness. Hard-hearted. Just teenagers and hard-hearted. He laid on the floor and started to weep, and he got up and walked over his body and left. I never forgot it. And when they walked out, I said, God, here were kids that were in church. They knew all about you. How did it happen? How did it happen? The adulteress. The devil goes after the precious life. He goes after those who have the potential. I think one of the saddest in all my travels was a 17-year-old boy that a teenage girl brought. I think it was Indianapolis in the crusade. That's when speed and LSD were sweeping the country. She brought to me a vegetable. That's all he was, an 18-year-old vegetable. She had to lead him. His hair had fallen out. His teeth were rotting. And he had just gotten out of the hospital. She said, Mr. Wilkinson, this is my boyfriend. He said just a year ago, he was a star on the football team. He was a fine-looking young man, and I still love him. He went to a... They won a game, and they went to a high school party, and everybody was dropping acid. And they called him a coward if he didn't. He said, well, I'll just try it. Someone had evidently mixed some strychnine with the acid, and he just tripped out, wound up in the hospital for months, out of his mind. He was only half there. He could just grunt at me. She said, he knows about you, Brother David. If you'll pray, I think he'll respond. I looked in his eyes, and I saw nothing but hollow eyes. I said, oh, God. Where does it end? Here's a kid who's never used drugs, never been involved in anything like this. I just got angry at the devil. I got angry at drugs. I got angry at our society. And I said, oh, God, in Jesus' name, heal him, open his eyes. I lost... I don't know what happened. She let him off the stage. I prayed, and I believed God, but she just let him... went down the stage. But I've never forgotten, and I will never forget him as long as I live. I would love to hear whatever happened to him. But you see, the devil went after the precious life. He goes after the precious life. That's what this is all about. Some of the most wicked sinners on earth were at one time the most precious children, because the doctors hunts for the precious life. Innocent children, just like yours, Dad, Mom. Jesus said, for such is the kingdom of God. I believe that all children belong to the Lord. All children belong to the Lord. He said, supper them, come unto me, for such is the kingdom of God. West Coast. His name was Stanley. And I was in a crusade. And witchcraft and occult had swept all through Oregon. I think it was in Oregon. A young man came up and introduced himself to me at the altar area. Dozens and dozens had come forward, and the Lord was saving drug addicts and alcoholics from the occult. And he said, Mr. Wilson, my name is Stanley, and I'm a witch. And I'm over a cove in here. And he said, I've been in witchcraft. And he said, the reason I'm here, I've got to have help. He said, though I've worshipped the devil for two years now, and I'm in this coven of witches, and I am a witch. He said, the problem is when you worship the devil, you never believe that you will be possessed by the devil. And you don't think of demons, you just think of the power that the devil can give to you. And he said, I went to bed the other night. And he said, while I was sleeping, about to fall asleep, he said, I saw incredible masses of demons massing around the ceiling. And they were making a funnel, and they were about to come in and possess my body. And he said, I got so frightened, I yelled, Jesus! He remembered something, and he cried Jesus, and suddenly they all fled. And he said, the next night it happened again. And he said, this time there were many, many more. They brought a whole legions of demons and they were surrounding, they were just about to leap upon me and possess my body. I stood up in the bed and cried, oh Jesus, help me, let me escape. And they fled again. And he said, I have, he came to the meeting, this is the third night, he said, I have got to give my heart to Jesus. I don't want to serve the devil, I want to be delivered. And I, he, the next night he brought back, he brought to the meeting a whole suitcase full of his witchcraft and paraphernalia, the stuff that he used to worship the devil and all of his books and his curses and incantations, he brought them all. He told me something, he said, Mr. Wilkinson, when I was a little boy, about six years old, I used to go out in an open field with my Bible and preach. He said, God called me when I was a little boy. You see, the devil saw the potential in that boy. The devil saw a precious life beginning to develop and he went after him and seduced him. He goes after the precious life, those who have potential. I lost touch with Stanley, I don't know, I do know for a while he went under a great test and a great trial, but I don't know the rest of it. You know the story of Nicky Cruz, one of 17 children, a home of witchcraft, his mother a witch and his father into witchcraft. And here's a little boy who used to cry a whole lot until seven years old. He hears his mother say he's an unwanted son and cursed him. And I heard Nicky, he was at Brooklyn Tabernacle about three weeks ago and gave his story and someone sent me a tape and I listened to it and heard things I'd never heard before. But when he's this little boy, out of 17, the devil saw he was going to be, the devil saw some potential. The devil's not omniscient, he doesn't know what's going to happen, but he can read activities, he can read desires. And here's a little boy that cries out and wants to be different. He calls out on God even though he's in a home of witchcraft. An amazing thing. The devil can put that together. Oh, 17 children, witchcraft, he gets saved, what a testimony he would be against my kingdom. The devil came against Nicky Cruz, never cried again, chased him into this city and the devil, the seductress, seduced him right in this city, tried to destroy and kill him. Thank God, he's a testimony for Jesus today. Christian parents, you don't have to worry tonight if you're sitting here and say, well, if I have one of those precious children, do I have to sit around worrying the devil's going to come and pounce on them? No, no, no, because you see, there's a difference. If you cover them with prayer, if you will, that's why I warn parents, I warn them everywhere I go, all my lifetime, don't yell at your kids, mom. There's nothing that kids hate more than that. Almost every drug addict and alcoholic that had a mother or grandmother would tell you, I couldn't stand the yelling anymore. You don't scream at them, you build a wall of fire around them, you pray for them, you minister the word to them if they're precious and you see a heart for God, minister to that. Stand with it and pray with them. You don't have to worry about the devil taking them. God said, you'll build a wall around your children. These others had no parents to help them, they had no help in that direction other than the preacher's son and those boys hardened their own heart. Have you ever wondered, mom and dad, about any of your children that are in sin today? I had a mother tell me once and it bothered me. She said, I've got two good sons, one's a doctor, the other's a bad apple. What a horrible thing to say about one of her children. Now some of you, I had a pastor friend who had three sons and two of them, while they're growing up, seemed so on fire and they were so involved in this one black sheep. In fact, they treated him like a black sheep. They mistreated this child. It's almost, oh yeah, well, he'll just have to make it his own way. There was no attention given to this boy. You know what I did? And I knew it then, I told my wife, I said, you watch, that's the one, that's the precious one and those other two showboat kids are not going to make it. And this kid, who did nothing, the only thing he had, it was in the country, and all he had was a 4-inch club and he had a cow that he loved and showed at these 4-inch clubs and he was so dumb, they thought all he could do was brush a cow. Oh, that kid is the one who made it. The other two, forget it. This boy is on fire for good. He wasn't a black sheep, he was the precious one. But if you ever wondered about your children, the ones that are not serving the Lord right now, have you ever wondered? Have you ever thought there was an evil seed in you or an evil seed in that child and that's the reason the devil got them? That's the reason they're on drugs or alcohol? I think you've got it all wrong. You've got it all wrong. Why did the devil go after that son or that daughter? Because of the preciousness, because of the potential. The devil, the seductress, goes after the precious life. What about you? Have you ever wondered why you had to go through what you did? Have you ever wondered why you had to go through a period of life? You're here serving the Lord tonight, I presume some of you are not, but some of you, most of you that are serving the Lord, have you ever wondered why you had to go through a time maybe on drugs like our fellows here or those from Sir House and you had that period when you disgraced the Lord and yourself and you went down to the very pits of hell? You were at the gate of hell? Have you ever wondered, did you say, well, what kind of an evil person was I? What terrible thing in me that the devil could come and so easily trap me? And how many people feel their absolute unworthiness and think that there's some evil seed? They feel that they never really feel comfortable in the presence of God because of their background, because of all the things they've gone through and the devil plays it, replays it in their mind and then when they're tested and trialed after they get saved, they say, well, you see, the devil will say, you've got that evil seed in you. You're no good, you're unworthy. Have you ever thought that the reason the devil dumped on you and the reason he came after you with such ferocity, have it ever entered your mind that the devil marked you because he saw something in you that bothered him? He saw some hunger for God? He heard a little voice cry out to Jesus? He saw you like a little Catholic boy who used to just go into church and he'd see Jesus there and love Jesus. He didn't know anything. He just, Jesus, I love you. And the devil sees that. What in your past that you don't even remember and the devil saw your little heart reaching out to God and he saw the potential. He saw that you were going to be a threat to his kingdom and he dumped on you, he come after you. And by the way, the next time the devil comes at you and he is trying to destroy you and trying to dump on you and lie on you and what did you do? Say, devil, what is there about me that scares you? What is there in my heart that bothers you? Why are you so determined to get me down? What do you see that I'm going to do to your kingdom? What do you see of faith in me? What do you see of Jesus in me that you have to try so hard? Do you ever stop and think why he's after you? And why he's coming so hard at you tonight? You've been hunted down because you're precious in the eyes of the Lord. His eye seeth every precious thing. Hallelujah! God sees what you're going through. You know, the holiest, most precious people on earth are those who are tempted the most severely. The Bible said, Whom the Lord loveth, he chastens. But you could also add, Whom the Lord loves, Satan hunts. We're not to think it's strange when we're tempted by fiery trials and temptations. Remember Joseph? Who could be more godly than this moral, godly young man? And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. The Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hands, and Joseph found grace. The blessing of the Lord was upon all that he did. No sooner do we hear of how precious Joseph is, how godly, how blessed he is, and it says it came to pass after these things, after all of these descriptions by God himself of how precious Joseph is in his sight, and how beloved, came to pass after these things that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph and said, Lie with me. The adulteress hunts the precious life. Now, folks, listen to me, please. There were hundreds of men in that palace because later, the Bible says, she called for the men. She could have had her choice of any man. She didn't want any man because this was the devil incarnate, the devil in this woman going after one life, one precious life that was going to shake the kingdom of hell. The adulteress went after what? The precious life. Satan will throw the most severe, horrible temptations at you at the very peak of your usefulness for God when you've never been closer to the Lord. I want to tell you something. In all my years, when God blesses me, when he draws me close to his throne and he's revealing his heart to me, that's when I get on guard because all my lifetime, the greatest trials, the greatest temptations, everything comes at the peak of your hunger and usefulness for God. When you have a whole heart set on the Lord, the devil sees that. He will seek to destroy every dedicated, devoted Christian on the face of the earth. The roof caves in and suddenly you develop a fear. Many people get a fear when they come to this place. The worst thing that can happen when the enemy comes at you is to think that you're less holy and less beloved or less valuable to the kingdom of God. You're being tempted not because God hates you but because he loves you. He allows it. But I want to tell you something. You know, God whispered to me just before the service tonight. He said, tell the people. He said, first you take it and then tell all the people in service tonight. The devil can tempt you. He can harass you. But he can't have you. He can't have you. Was Job a holy man? A righteous man? And his righteousness attracted the adulterous, didn't it? The devil stood before God when the sons of men gathered and he says, he's just serving you because you bless him. You let me take away his blessings and he'll curse you. Your righteousness gets the attention of hell. You get justified by faith. You walk in his righteousness and your soul is at rest and nothing frightens the devil more than a Christian who is at rest in the justifying grace of Jesus Christ and his shed blood. The devil doesn't get scared of Christians who are rushing around in legalism and trying to please God in the flesh. That doesn't scare the devil at all. He'll leave those people alone. But he'll not leave you alone when you have come into that rest. He'll try to take that rest away from you. Hallelujah. That's what he tried to do with Job. Job was tempted so severely not because he had sin in his life. He was not a secret indulger. He was not leaning toward the world. He was precious in the eyes of God. The Lord was testing him and Job was able to say though he tried me I shall come forth as gold. Hallelujah. What about God's own son? Didn't the adulterers chase him in the wilderness? Try to tempt him away from his Heavenly Father? Whose life is more precious than our blessed Savior? And yet you find the devil going after him. Now see, the precious life when it's seduced by Satan and carried away captive has to be redeemed. The scripture says in Psalm 72 He shall spare the poor and needy and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit or seduction and violence and their blood shall be precious in his sight. Beloved, your blood, your very blood is precious in the sight of God. Your very blood shall be precious in the eyes of the Lord. For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth. Whenever you are under the seduction of the enemy, whenever the adulterers, Satan comes against you with his lies and with his fears and tries to condemn you out of the peace of God and tell you you will never amount to anything in God, that you're really not precious in the eyes of the Lord and that you're going to fall before it's all over, the Bible says all you have to do is cry. For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth. The poor also and him that is helpless. For God shall spare the poor and needy. He shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence. Their precious and precious shall their blood be in his eyes. Hallelujah. Praise you Jesus. For some reason or another tonight, the Holy Spirit put it on my heart to bring to this congregation the need, the absolute need for you and me as his children to know how delighted he is in us. I look back over my walk with God and so many of those years I never had the peace. I preached peace without having it. I strived so hard, pleased the Lord never felt like I was measuring up to what he wanted. Many times allowing unneeded fears, unneeded guilt and condemnation and everything else, allowing the enemy to run rampant through my brain. I wish there had been a preacher somewhere that had been able to tell me how precious I was in the eyes of God. That could bring my soul to peace and rest in the finished work of Jesus. And in this pulpit, we've been trying to bring you that. There have been times we stood here, we preached a hard message. We preached repentance, we preached forsaking your sins and we preached that if anyone's a friend of the world is an enemy to God. But when you repent and when you turn to the Lord with all of your heart, you may not have it figured out you may go through struggles, you may go through battles and some of you are going through that now. And you get to the place where you say, oh God, am I ever going to understand it? Am I ever going to feel your worthiness? You don't have to feel your own worthiness because if you sit around thinking you are worthy, then you're going to go into despair. But you have to rest in His worthiness. He made you worthy. You can go to God at any time and say Jesus, bring my soul to peace because I have no other plea but the blood of Jesus and the faithfulness of my Savior. I have not arrived. I don't want to tell you something. My soul is at peace. My soul is at rest. And that's the one thing the enemy will try to take from you and from me is that peace and that rest. And you know what brought my soul to that rest? That I am absolutely convinced of two things. And with this I close. I'm absolutely convinced that Jesus loves me. And I am absolutely convinced that I am precious to Him. I am absolutely precious in His sight. Not because of any good thing in me. Not because I have any kind of talent. Not because of anything in me. Not anything. I have nothing. You and I have nothing to bring but our simple childlike faith In closing, let me say this and get ready now to open your heart to the Lord in a special way. God doesn't do anything in vain. God wouldn't have me... I've only touched on the surface. It used to take me an hour to preach this message. But I feel I've preached the part that God wanted me to preach. I've shared with you just a simple little message. But let me talk to you in the Spirit now. The Lord would not have delivered this to you unless He knew what you were going through. There are some of you who need to come up here tonight and just open up your spirit and your heart to Him. Because you've never felt worthy. You've never felt worthy of His love. You've never felt like you have arrived at a place of peace and rest in Him. You're always striving and you're always feeling like you have messed up. You don't measure up. Everybody's passing you by. You're weak. And you're not making it. When I look at the church of Jesus Christ nowadays... A pastor called today a Nazarene pastor. Heartbroken. He doesn't know what to do. Because demonic powers have broken loose in his church. He believes there's a witch or some... or some occultic people have crept into the church. He feels demonic powers in the choir. His body's under attack. Can't sleep. And we're getting letters and calls. In fact, I'm having my son Gary, if there's a burden, and I'm having to call many of these pastors and write to them and try to help. And I'm going to have to enroll our staff in this very soon because it's getting overwhelming. And even the ministers are hurting so bad. The people in the church is hurting so bad. Seems like just about everybody is hurting in the churches all around us. And there's some of you in this church even right now that are hurting. It's time to settle something right now. It's time to receive the love of Jesus Christ. I don't care what you're going through right now. If you have a repentant heart and you say, Jesus, I don't want to live in my sin. I'm sorry. I have a repentant heart and I love You. Then you have got to receive that love back in your heart. You've got to understand You're precious in His sight. And stop trying to run around in your flesh trying to do some good thing to merit His love and attention. You have His attention. You have His love. Rest in it. Amen. Just rest in that love. Will you stand, please? Hallelujah. Heavenly Father, I pray tonight for those that are standing before me. I stand as a pastor tonight. You have given me a heart now as a pastor. Lord, I hate sin more than I've ever hated it. And I will preach it faithfully as You lay it on my heart. As does Brother Carter. But Lord, tonight I know every person standing before me is lacking in this area. Lord, You have got to help us to be convinced by the Holy Spirit by the Holy Spirit that we are Your children. We are not illegitimate children. We are Your real children. Hallelujah. We are Your children. We are those that You created and You died for, Jesus. You blotted out our transgressions. And we strive so hard to please You, Lord, but we do it in our flesh. We don't rest in what You did for us and just simply by faith accept it. Lord, I pray for those tonight that feel wounded and hurt. And I pray for those, Lord Jesus, who don't feel very precious to anybody. And especially to You, Jesus. They have a feeling that You're mad at them, that You've not opened doors for them and You're not working in their behalf and that somehow they must have hurt You or wounded You and broken Your heart and so You've had to set Your face on them. No. Lord, take that away tonight. How You love the children of Israel. Lord, the Pharisees mocked You. They scoffed You. And yet just before You left, You wept over them and said, if You would have only come, I would have gathered You under my wings as a mother hen gathers her little chicks. You would have gathered them, even though they mocked You. Oh, Jesus, these are not mockers standing before You. These are Your children. God, teach us to receive Your love. Lord, if we have a knowledge of Your love, we will love one another. If we feel we're precious to You, everyone around us will be precious to us. Lord, there's not a soul in this city that's not precious to You. You love the lost. Help us to love the lost. But first, Lord, we've got to know that You love us. Lord, for those who don't know that yet, those who are not walking in the peace of that love, bring them to this altar and fill them with love tonight. Let them know how precious they are in Your sight. Holy Ghost, there's smoke in Your heart as we sing together with this and I'll pray with You. We'll believe Jesus now to fill you with the knowledge of His love so that you can say, Lord, I know I'm precious to You. I am precious to You, Jesus. If you're not right with Jesus, if you're not saved, if you're back sitting, get out of your seat and come. If the Holy Spirit's drawing you, come and join right now. You know, I heard last week a drug addict used to attend this church. He's in jail. And last week, he got so depressed that God didn't love him anymore. Nobody cared. And in prison, he tried to hang himself. A friend of his called us in the office this past week. Said he attempted suicide trying to kill himself. And you know what that is? That someone says, I'm no good or I'm not precious to anybody. I'm worthless. I'm no good. All those are lies from hell. None of us are any good, of course. Not in ourselves. Hallelujah. Just embrace Him, son. Just embrace Him. Sister, embrace Him. The son behind Him. Don't be afraid to let it out. Brother, that's alright. Hallelujah. He's precious. Lord, He's precious to you right now. I want everybody that came forward to just look up to Jesus and raise your hands and let Him touch you right now. The touch of Jesus makes everything different. Don't be afraid to cry. That's alright. You know, I watched some of you just walking around here, just watching some of you. Some of you were crying. I noticed some people around just reach over and put an arm around you or touch you on the shoulder. And you know something? If you have that kind of love, if you've got that kind of love for people, how much more does the Lord love you? How much more does He care? I talked to a young lady recently in this church, just been coming for a while, and she said, Pastor Dave, I'm having a hard time meeting anybody. And that's something, you know, 2,000 people at a time and finding it hard. That shouldn't be. We should look at people and talk to people and reach out to people because the worst thing that can happen, people that are lonely walk in here and walk out lonely, feeling unwanted and unneeded. God wants and needs every one of you that are here now. No care who you are, what you've been through. Loves you desperately. Loves you wonderfully. Hallelujah. You know, folks, I have to tell you the truth. It's almost a shame that we don't love people more, that we're not loving one another as much as we should. There should be such embracing. There should be such encouraging. There should be... You should be praying, Oh God, today, every time you come to Times Square Church, if this is your church home, you should be praying, Oh God, lead me to some of those lonely people. Lead me to somebody that needs just a touch, a word, a friend. If there's so many hurting people, the pastors can't do it all. It has to come from the sheep. It has to come from the congregation. That's great love. The Lord's been trying to build a people who are assured. They're not running around in fear and dread. There's a blessedness and a tenderness about them. Because if we're really drawn closer to Jesus, it's going to show in our relationships, it's going to show around. It's always going to show in the congregation. It's going to show. Hallelujah. I wish there was a way. I would like to just leap off the stage and just hug everybody. But I want to tell you something. I don't have the strength, nor does Brother Carter. It's not just the pastors loving you. It's the people. The people to people. Lord Jesus, say this with me. Jesus, pray this with me. Jesus, cleanse me. Forgive me. I am repentant. I am sorry. And I love you, Jesus. But I need you. Help me to understand how much you love me. You care about me. You told me. Cast my cares on you. You said you'd care for me. I accept that now. Oh, Jesus, show me that I am precious to you. That you're not mad at me. You're here to help me and lift my spirit and deliver me from the devil's power. I love you, Jesus. I love you, Jesus. Raise your hands and tell him you love him right now. I love you, Jesus. I worship you. I praise you. I love you, Lord, with all my heart and all my soul and all my strength. I love you. This is the conclusion of the tape.
