Mike Bickle

Mike Bickle (1955 - ). American evangelical pastor, author, and founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), born in Kansas City, Missouri. Converted at 15 after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach at a 1970 Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference, he pastored several St. Louis churches before founding Kansas City Fellowship in 1982, later Metro Christian Fellowship. In 1999, he launched IHOPKC, pioneering 24/7 prayer and worship, growing to 2,500 staff and including a Bible college until its closure in 2024. Bickle authored books like Passion for Jesus (1994), emphasizing intimacy with God, eschatology, and Israel’s spiritual role. Associated with the Kansas City Prophets in the 1980s, he briefly aligned with John Wimber’s Vineyard movement until 1996. Married to Diane since 1973, they have two sons. His teachings, broadcast globally, focused on prayer and prophecy but faced criticism for controversial prophetic claims. In 2023, Bickle was dismissed from IHOPKC following allegations of misconduct, leading to his withdrawal from public ministry. His influence persists through archived sermons despite ongoing debates about his legacy

He reflects on the progress made in Kansas City, where the church has successfully initiated a prayer schedule that will soon operate around the clock. Bickle encourages the congregation to embrace their roles as intercessors, particularly focusing on the unique callings of Anna and Mary of Bethany, who represent different dimensions of prayer and worship. He stresses the importance of creating an enjoyable prayer environment that fosters continuous worship and intercession, ultimately leading to a global movement of prayer. The sermon concludes with a call for individuals to step into their identities as Anna's and Mary's, contributing to the church's mission and the broader prayer ministry.

Sermon Transcription
I think I talked about this, but I recognize that this time of the year so many are gone away on vacation I'm going to give a little review and then bring it a little different direction than I went last week add some more dimensions to it Is it most of you aware that in May? 1983 the Lord spoke to us by the audible voice of the Lord and Called us to establish a 24 hour a day prayer ministry and the spirit of the tabernacle of David here in Kansas City It's a mouthful, but most of you understand, but those phrases mean 16 years ago. He spoke by the audible voice of the Lord said establish this prayer ministry That's modeled after the tabernacle of David the order that King David established of worse of worship He's told us to wait for the timing and 16 years later the beginning of 1999 the Lord spoke in very Convincing and clear ways that we were to begin it in 1999 and we did on May 7th. We dedicated a building It's about one mile down the road seats about 200 people It's got a sign on the front that says International House of Prayer we have prayer meetings led by worship teams 13 hours a day five days a week And I want to give a repeat a little bit of what I said last week about the progress report worth a two-month mark and I want to say well done MCF the heart and the finance the commitment the time has been exemplary from this body of believers and I I'm really blessed and really appreciative to see that the invitation of the Lord went forth But as a people we actually said yes, and we responded to it How many of you know the invitation the Lord goes forth to many? Churches for many things in a year or two goes by and the people didn't say yes They kind of analyzed the invitation talked about it compared notes with one another but never actually did it But this church is actually there's been a rising up to lay hold of this to do it. Our goal was within 12 months To complete the 24 hour a day schedule For 13 hours a day now, but things have gone so well that we we can complete it Actually in September the three-month mark I mean at the four-month mark or whatever instead of the 12-month mark and so starting September 19th in the in the evening the evening prayer meeting we're going to begin a 24 hour a day schedule led by worship teams the singers and intercessors and that's just a stunning Reality that God has given that as a church. That's really really powerful now there's We're moving from a 24 hour wannabe to a 24 hour Testimony and reality that we're actually doing it 24 hours a day seven days a week We don't cancel it for vacations or holidays. There's no ceasefire in the spirit From the enemy's point of view. He'll kill as many on holidays as he will not holidays And so we continue I will care what the weather is if it's all possible We're going to keep it open no matter what the weather conditions holidays Birthdays doesn't matter conference time. We're going to keep it going 24 hours a day Take 70 prayer meetings a week to do that, but we believe in September we can Establish I'm calling it the skeletal structure where we can have 15 20 30 40 at every prayer meeting 24 hours a day that is stunning by the way That's not a small thing our vision for the future is that there would be one or two thousand people at most Meetings 24 hours a day as as hundreds of churches get involved as the years unfold and the Lord puts his hand on it But don't but I want you to understand the value of the 10 or 20 or 30 at every meeting 24 hours a day It has a catalytic Impact upon the larger church the very presence of a 24 hour a day worship Intercessory ministry to the even the Church of Kansas City It's stunning to many people as I've given the testimony had a chance to give that cast the vision to about 50 pastors They were blown away It's the fact that's going 13 hours a day I told him it's a little rough and ugly right now, but they said but it's existing and that was very powerful And a number of them want their churches to be involved We'll go around a number of the churches and cast the vision and sign up their people It'll take some years to build this thing to the place where we want it But it's going on right now today, and as I've had the opportunity to be involved in several large conferences and just sharing the vision a little bit at that level the The groundswell of interest around the world already now don't want to overstate it But it's real that this is actually about to go take place 24 hours a day. It's amazing the courage The catalytic impact it has on other people who hear it. Here's the logic I mean it hits up it does something like this it first it creates divine jealousy I had talked to one pastor and over in Asia That's about a 12,000 member church And he's in real close relationship with another church of 4,000 another one of eight they meet weekly the pastors do He said we gotta do one. We gotta do it right now if you're doing what we have to do when he goes I'm tortured right now. You're really doing this I said yes Oh, oh, we gotta do it because when you bring a team out. I don't know we've got to get one coin first He goes he goes. I'm going crazy. I have to do one First it creates a holy jealousy, which is a good thing I've had pastors all over the nation email me talking me to somebody's conference going this is Radical we have to do one and that's the first impact and then the next thing that that hits is the logic if you can Do one surely we can do one and that's the impact we want, but there's a tremendous I mean surprising groundswell. There's a courage as an inspiration Not that the one that we're doing is mature or even that strong It's the fact of it is in itself a catalytic factor in the kingdom of God Beloved we're at the first installment our church has been invited by the Lord and again We've actually said yes, but that's all it's spending when human beings voluntarily obey the Lord in a giant project like this and Globally this will cover the earth Meaning I believe all the cities of the earth obviously there'll be exceptions will have this kind of prayer ministry before the Lord returns And and I don't know the number there might be 10 or 20 in 1999 the Lord is launching. I don't know the real number, but I'm looking for people that are a lot of people have the vision of it But that are actually doing it, but I know that there's a we're in this church is in the initial installment of a global Phenomenon in the prayer ministry of the Holy Spirit and that is a privilege for us to have that We've been called by the audible voice of God the Lord has favored us and our city by bringing this to pass because you can't Just start one because you want one the Lord has to help you start it in a city The people of God in a city the Lord has to be in their midst to help them And he's in our midst and he's doing it in Kansas City And it's gonna and these are gonna be spring up all over the earth And we're in the first installment of God's strategy of this part of the in time prayer ministry And that is a powerful reality for you to rejoice in in your heart Even though people who are not a part of this congregation aren't even a part of it They should say in their heart our city has a prayer furnace burning 24 hours a day is what they'll say in a few months from It's catalytic The scriptures declare the 24-hour ministry like this it is necessary God will not release the full blessing apart from the 24-hour prayer ministry That's a fact of life. That's a real reality The scripture makes it clear the promises for the full blessing are only in context to night and day prayer A lot of people lose heart a bit and they say the promises aren't happening. Well, the conditions aren't in place They go. Oh, yeah minor detail We forgot the night and day prayer part of the condition But night and day prayer is about to go forth in Kansas City around the clock Seven days a week and when that happens beloved I tell you it's not so far down the road before the promise Is released that's related to the condition of night and day prayer Not only is it necessary these 24-hour prayer ministries they are inevitable It's not just they have to happen They will happen because the Lord himself is setting the watchman on the wall The Lord has the energy to see this happen worldwide and you know where the Lord is behind it It's going to happen. It is inevitable. It's more than inevitable. It's glorious Data into this dynamic is glorious. Now. I Trace a a distinct increase of the Holy Spirit's global prayer strategy has increased Definitively in about the last 20 years and 20 years is a round number But about 20 years ago just study the literature that's been produced sold in the Christian bookstores across the the Western world you can see a Marked I mean a very marked increase of the amount of interest in prayer worldwide They began about 20 years ago There's many many facets to just to the Lord's prayer strategy across the earth and the generation returns It's a vast complex strategy But we're only talking about one facet of it the 24-hour in the spirit of the tabernacle of David dynamic That's what God has called this church to birth There's many other facets of the end-time prayer strategy though that we're not getting leadership to we're not carrying it other churches on the parts of the earth carry it that's one giant a Strategy that the Lord himself is orchestrating But we have a sliver of that strategy that the Lord is giving us leadership And they called a mandate to bring across the earth Has a glorious responsibility and privilege to a body of believers Very specifically I want to say and I've said it over the over the weeks, but I want to say it again Specifically, it's the Davidic meaning King David the Davidic model of prayer where David The prayer that went forth in David's generation a thousand years BC It was it emphasized and was led by up the prophetic spirit on musicians and singers Now we're kind of used to that concept now, but it was it was a stunning concept David was the first one to see it. He saw it around the throne of God in heaven David had an open vision He sees around the throne that the prayer and worship go hand in hand that they're not separated that music and intercession flow together in around the throne of God Revelation 5 8 we use the phrase a lot the heart and the bowl when they presented themselves before the Lord Around the throne of God they had the heart and they had the bowl They had the music and the intercession and they flowed as one Now when David first saw it it was the first time ever it was conceived of as far as we know from the scripture That was 3,000 years ago, but God promised That the tabernacle of David would be restored in the prayer ministry of the tabernacle of David is the is a prayer ministry That is led. Here's the here's the is here. It is it's led by prophetic Worship leaders prophetic spirit on instruments prophetic singers. It makes the intercession significantly different Significantly different and another way to talk about it is there there's an interactive Model that we're establishing between the singing and the speaking of the prayers There's an interactive intercessory model where the singing of the prayers and the speaking of the prayers are Flowing in an interactive relationship with the with the Spirit of God on the music and here's the net result The net result is prayer is easy and that's big when prayer becomes easy Prayer becomes easy that one dimension of a prophetic spirit led prayer model With the interaction between the singing and the speaking of the prayers under anointed music makes prayer easy Refreshing and joyful. It's enjoyable when it said in Isaiah 56 I will make you joyful in the house of prayer put the word enjoy instead of joy put enjoy it makes it Enjoyable there's enjoyment of prayer. You take the harp away I'm using the phrase the harp in the bowl around the throne of God you take the anointed music away And all you have is the bowl of intercession Intercession without the music is like the rock pile. I've done it for years Hitting the rock pile I mean just plain old wall three people in the room praying for hours is surely the rock pile at least it has been in my experience few moments of inspiration here there, but kind of a Heavy calling for a life calling, but you put the heart you put God's music the first chronicles 25 the prophetic spirit on the musicians of the singers The bowl the incense part becomes enjoyable I mean the bowl or the intercession part becomes an enjoyable thing when it's in an interactive relationship with the singing and with the music The net result of this is enjoyable prayer, but the net result of that is that prayer can go 24 hours a day Prayer can go 24 hours a day when that when that's in place I don't have faith for 24 hour a day prayer in the cities of the earth Separated from the heart from the music the prophetic music. I don't have faith for it's just too hard. I've done it for years It is hard Praying long hours without the help of the spirit of refreshment in the music Luke 18 verse 1 Then I'd always to pray and not faint They have to pray and not think the majority of the churches in the Western world have a fainting spirit on them in prayer In 1999, but it won't be that way before the Lord returns. It will be changed There is a fainting spirit a losing heart or fainting most churches across the Western world It's different the third world most churches Do not have a regular prayer ministry even once a week or once a month most churches do not Most individuals do not have a regular prayer life in the Western world What I'm saying is there's a fainting spirit upon the church prayers hard In isolation apart from the anointed music is hard. It really is and the result is the church is fainting How are we ever gonna see the night and dayness of prayer until it becomes easy? It won't become easy until the harp and bowl Dimensions mature together and you know what God is called the Church of Kansas City and in a very specific way this Congregation to give leadership along with Noah Alexander in a way for his congregation OCR Olympic Christian Fellowship Beloved we are raising up a model that makes prayer easy and therefore will go 24 hours a day and therefore will be shipped to the nations and Therefore with 24 hours a day in the cities of the earth revival will touch It's a very dramatic and significant thing God's calling us to do my point is we need all of you We need the divine order we need everybody in their place a little bit I'm calling people last week to be involved one time a week only I tell you one time a week is significant That's not a small thing Well, there's a fainting spirit, but let me tell you the good news the fainting spirit is going to be replaced with perseverance It really will be replaced I'm positive of it from the Lord from the word and from the encounters with the Holy Spirit before Jesus returns Enjoyable night and day prayer will fill the cities of the earth And it will be in the prophetic spirit model of 1st Chronicles 25 the Davidic model and the Lord's allowing us To be pioneers along with several other groups across the earth to work on it is hard work to set it up We're a little rough and ugly right now is what I tell us. I tell our intercessors and our worship teams We're not we're just stumbling and fumbling We're not they'll take a year or two to get this thing into a real rhythm and a maturity But I tell you it's a lot better than it was a year ago It's a lot better even because I'm there eight hours a day It's my full-time job nearly I give about 20 hours a week to the church to the two Responsibilities here in the local church in about 40 hours to the house of prayer And I get to see the progress because I'm there day in and day out I get to watch it in front of my eyes change one week two or three weeks later It is different is better the cinders are flowing the teams are gelling the intercessors are learning the language of the scripture in their intercession It's I'm watching it in front of me going. Oh, this is awesome It's not just because it will be fun in Kansas City because it will really go 24 hours a day when it's easy And it will really be shipped to the earth when it becomes easy And the easy is related to the model of the tabernacle of David That's where the word easy comes in or use the biblical word the word joy or enjoyable Imagine God shipping to the earth from this place a model of an enjoyable corporate 24-hour prayer That's a tremendous police for a church to be involved with as we ship out Missionaries under Floyd's leadership as we touch the poor under Don's leadership and the silo ministries come forth We're training the prophetic and to have easy prayer that can go 24 hours a day We train them we plant houses of prayer across the earth. I'm just ready to embrace the future with joy I am excited about the next 10 or 20 years. I Really am things are coming into order in the Lord in this place. I'd rather be here than anywhere in the earth That's how everybody should feel about where God put them. We're invited to this first installment look at verse 7 I'm not even gonna read the passages that I read last week. It's it's it's it's the night and day requirement part the night and day Beloved let me say it again the night and day requirement is not optional It is a it is a condition for the fullness of the spirit. That's the one point That is always overlooked when we're saying where are the promises or just where's the conditions being met? Well, I tell you in Kansas City Little rough and ugly as we are right now if the conditions are on the way to being met night and day prayer will ascend From the Church of Kansas City. Yes, this church is birthing it and really carrying it in a very primary way But I tell you it's invited the whole Church of Kansas City gets credit for it at the throne of God It's about the people of God in the city of the region The Lord has used this church as a womb to birth it and a womb to send out these all over the earth What a glorious thing Especially when it's connected to the reaching of the poor the training of people in our training center The Shiloh ministry is a cell church and a missionary strategy a church planning strategy the point was to put in place Together the whole package like the symphony of the Lord is coming together Because one without the other is not enough as glorious as a 24 hours of a day prayers without the other dimensions It it doesn't have the full impact in the same with all the others related one to another. It's a great gift When God gives this to a city and beloved he's giving it to Kansas City right now And this reality will fill the earth Isaiah 62 if you turn to Isaiah 62, I just want you know, we look at it last week I just want you to see it again one verse Isaiah 62 I've set verse six. I've set watchman on the wall and there it is again night and day night and day And a little magic mark about underlying night and day. Excuse me. There you go Night and day there it is verse six now Let's look at the word set. I've set watchman the Lord speaking in the prophetic sense He's looking at the future as though it's accomplished. It's complete It's good He's talking about the church literally in the city church of Jerusalem literally the revival center center Center that will be raised up in Jerusalem of born-again believers, but it's a prototype and what he's doing worldwide I've sucked in the watchman. You can put intercessors instead of watchman. You can put Worshippers instead of watchman. It's the people who cry out night and day is the context of watchman here Watchman could be prophets in other places But the watchman here are the people that lift their voice and lift their heart to God night and day Notice the night and dayness again a night and dayness of this thing The Lord is setting watchman There's a sovereign activity When the Lord moves the heart when the Lord convinces the heart or weak normal people like you and I We feel glued into it. That is the setting of the Lord of you on the wall So what a figurative wall the wall of protection for the church? It's a wall of blessing you're being set on the wall when your heart is blue We've got some four or five hundred believers coming once a week You know what what that means there's four or five hundred people most of them from this congregation But there they come for about 15 or 20 congregations right now. That means the setting has begun the setting Why do you go once a week? You've been set you've been convinced Wooed and established a resolution to go. That's the setting of the Lord. The Lord is serious about this setting now There's I look at the word setting in two different ways to Large categories of the setting of the watchman the first category We looked at last week is the people that are set on the wall their primary calling is not intercession It's something else their primary calling may be pastoral. It may be evangelist. It may be administration Maybe the gift of helps who knows there may be in one of many callings They do intercession a little here a little there But their primary ministry something else and I tell you the greatest ministry The greatest ministry you can embark on is the one God called you to if God called you to the gift of helps Don't try to have another calling flow in your calling Flow in your calling the greatest calling is the one God's called you to and so we don't want to create an environment Where one calling is higher than another? The calling that God in wisdom and kindness calls you is the highest calling for you do it burnout comes By trying to operate another person's calling but this setting of the watchman your primary calling is another function in the church But you're convinced and wooed and established to be involved somewhat a little and I'm calling people once a week Once a week and that's the first kind of setting the one a week But I tell you that is not a small thing you think once a week I mean compared to 40 hours a week That's nothing wrong wrong wrong. God will raise up a number that will do the 40-hour week He really will but the once a week is what will build the house of prayer the once a week people It's just like a ministry people to give the ten and twenty and fifty thousand dollar gifts But you know what a church like this and every ministries built by the thirty dollar a week Giving is what builds the ministries of the earth. It's not the hundred thousand I mean, those are those are blessed and those are wonderful when they come but it's the little acts of servanthood That build the Church of Jesus globally It's the $30 a week people that constitute the majority the kingdom of God work around the world. It's not just the millionaires I just want you to know that the house of prayer will be built by multitudes doing one time a week That's a setting I think one time a week that so what? Oh, no, don't say that You know one time a week is that's 50 weeks a year Probably a few years last you'll miss a few here and there 50 weeks a year times two hours the average permitting two hours isn't bad if the permitting enjoyable That's a hundred hours a year. That's a lot more than most people prayed last year a hundred hours It's not a small thing. You get thousands of people praying a hundred hours a year Do somebody do the math on that that is serious? The house of prayer will be built by the once a week set on the wall watchmen, but there's another group of watchmen Those are the ones I'm focusing on this morning Those are the Anna's of the Mary of Bethany's those who don't know what our week is for life-consuming passion. They'll do it 20 and 30 and 40 and 50 hours a week It's the people whom the Lord has set them on the wall in a literal night in Dana's or near literal I mean it is they're consuming Function they're consuming function the church they form the foundation of the end time prayer ministry But the once-a-week people fill it up They fill the room so to speak the boat and not the either or to turn to Luke chapter 2 if you will Luke chapter 2 we looked at Anna just mentioned her last week the two most powerful Examples Luke chapter 2 verse 36 in my opinion two most powerful examples of the full-time Watchman set on the wall and they were both set on the wall in Jerusalem Just like Isaiah said they were both on the Jerusalem wall is Anna and Mary of Bethany They represent two different dimensions of the grace of prayer These two women now the calling upon Anna and the calling upon Mary of Bethany transcends gender It's not a male verse female and it's not a young verse old It's describing an anointing a calling and a focus upon a person's life. And here's my premise My the reason I'm bringing this forth is that at the in the generation of Lord returns the Holy Spirit is going to emphasize The Anna and the Mary of Bethany calling and he's going to raise up a place for them to fit in The purpose of God at the end of the age That's where I'm going with this the vast majority will not have this call but out of a billion new converts We're believing God for Several million will have this call the percentage will be very small Maybe it's one or two percent. Maybe it's less than 1% of the body Christ, but it will still be a several million even though it'd be 1% and millions of these people will make a Significant difference in the end time church, though. There will be hundreds of millions who don't have this call but in this congregation There are some of you with this calling on you and that's why I'm calling it for you're a different kind of set intercessor You're set on the wall But in a full-time way rather than set on the wall where your primary function is in is in another part of the body of Christ Anna, let me just give you a summary Anna speaks of chapter 2 verse 36 for 38 days of the spiritual warfare Intercessor faster kind of person there are people their main focuses I mean they open the windows of blessing they tear down the walls of resistance. They're full blast Intercession intercession spiritual warfare fasting Intercessors, that's who the Anna's represent the Mary of Bethany's It's in the same flow of the spirits of the grace of prayer But it's a very different Mary of Bethany from Luke chapter 10 Stay here next. I'm in Luke 2 Mary of Bethany from Luke 10 She was the extravagant worshiper. She wasn't really an intercessor in the traditional sense obviously She said she did an intercession and obviously Anna did the extravagant worship but the Mary of Bethany's changed the Atmosphere of the cities and the churches that they're a part of and Mary of Bethany's can be male or female young or old we have a number of Mary of Bethany's on our worship team male and female and they release a Dimension there's a they change the atmosphere There's a fragrance of the beauty of the Lord of a tenderness that they bring into the midst of the people God has placed in now the Catholic Church For 2,000 years has always made room for the Anna's in the Mary's They're typically monasteries for male and female old and young they had a place for the night and a intercessor and the night And they worshiper they really believed in that and they have this doctrine Where they they believe that the presence of these burning flames just on planet Earth Created a preserving grace to the church They said whether they ever speak or preach or anyone ever meets them their presence creates a Preservation a grace that preserves the church and the Catholic history is proud of that dimension And they are convinced those burning fire flames of fire that release fragrance brought Preservation to the earth and to the church around the earth and at the absence of them There would be far more destruction I believe in that the Protestant Church has no place for them the Protestant Church kind of scratches their head goes What do you do with those people? Because we have observed the air that stuff that most of these monasteries have had through history They they took the the night and day prayer and worship and they Disconnected it from the Great Commission, and they disconnected it from the society that they lived in not all of them Some of them were deeply involved in the Great Commission, but more than than not they had the air but still there was a preserving grace of a Preservation going on in the church because of existence, but there's more than preservation There's a deep interaction and involvement with the Great Commission the Lord wants us to have the Mary's and the Anna's Deeply connected in the apostolic teams that plant the churches with the neighborhoods And it's not either or it's both and together and the inside prayer ministry is going to be filled with the Mary's and the Anna's They can do it night day You know why they can do it night and day because it's led by the prophetic Musicians and singers and it's enjoyable and therefore accessible to night and day. It's out of reach if it's hard Never a couple you know again. There's been several million who've done through history, but I don't have faith for it unless it's easy I don't have faith for it filling the earth, and it's going to because the Lord has made it easy now Anna What an interesting woman? Verse 37 she served the Lord you could put the word minister to God instead of serve God the word minister You could it's interchangeable often and in the Old and New Testament Served and ministered often you can interchange the word and a minister to the Lord in prayer and fasting what a unusual idea now Anna was about 17 18 years old when she when she was married probably maybe a little younger and after seven years She was widowed, so she's in her early 20s. Maybe she's 23 24 years old She's now 84 years old 60 years Anna has stayed faithful She never left the temple now that doesn't mean technically she never left it because there were no living quarters in the temple that you Can prove that historically really easy it means that she had a little little quarters down the road. She walked to it She didn't take the bus She just a couple blocks down the way She would come there, and she was in attendance to the prayer ministry in the temple night and day That's what it means hours a day We don't know how many hours was ours, but we know it just went on for 60 years now This is not just the call to retired believers who believe was retired from their secular job She was in her 20s when she first was the Anna that we're reading about She was a young woman that was widowed in a crisis in her 20s And a young woman in her 20s found her way in the grace of God to this in her 30s in her 40s in her 50s In her 60s in her 70s in her 80s my goodness What a woman but beloved the Anna's of the in time church the Lord is wooing them in this very hour and setting them in Place not only the Catholic ones because many of them are already in place the Protestant Church must Call the Anna's forth find a place honor them and find ways of releasing them There's many ways to do that and the Lord's doing that right now Very very powerful look at Luke chapter 10 Mary of Bethany Luke chapter 10. I'll just be so brief with this because we're already out of time But I just want you to see it most of you know the passage 38 to 42 verse 39 she's at the feet of Jesus Mary is Now Mary is pictured three times in the New Testament Mary of Bethany Three times right here Luke 10 the second one is in John 11 and the third one is in John 12 Interesting every time Mary is pictured in the scripture she's sitting at the feet of Jesus three for three the Holy Spirit set her forth as a Extravagant love waiting on the Lord ministry no platform ministry She didn't never know never preached in that sense Anna was a preacher by the way For forgot to mention that she was a full-scale evangelist intercessor That's the best kind that keeps them in the harvest and not disconnected to the harvest Mary was just I love you I love you. I love you night and day. I love you. I love you. I love you I love that's what she did all the time again The Catholic Church says we need the marriage the Protestant Church says we don't know what to do with them but I tell you they change the atmosphere and create a preservate a Preservation of grace under that and they fuel the house of prayer You get about 50 Marian Annas in a prayer base, but like we're raising up and you can have five Thousand of the other intercessors you get about 50 they're carrying it with that certain grace it launches the five thousand It gives support to the five thousand who come once a week The Holy Spirit is presently Emphasizing I believe alongside of the call to the house of prayer I'm in the last decade or so and much more in the next couple decades of the Lord Terry's the Holy Spirit is Emphasizing not only the 24-hour day house of prayer, but the Annas and the Mary's he's commissioning them. He's calling them He's ruined them. He's defining them to their own hearts Very important to understand that there'll be millions of them though probably less than 1% of the total number of the body of Christ He's calling them alongside of the call to the 24-hour day prayer and that didn't begin Because we're doing it it began. It's been going on for some time now. We're just tapping into it I believe that God is going to ask leaders like myself and others To call for the Annas and Mary's in the Protestant world because the Catholics have been doing it for years and years and years That's it's an old hat to them They're very skilled at it the Protestants are very very deficient in this God wants the Protestant wing of his church in the earth to stand up and call forth the Annas and the Mary's and not neglect Small number, but it's a worthy. It's worthy to the building of the house of prayer worldwide The body of Christ must learn how to respect them to support them to understand them right now the body of Christ Historically in the Protestant world the body of Christ the Protestant a wing of the body of Christ resists them as strange They they're they're fearful of them they're dangerous they'll get us all not doing the Great Commission What are you afraid of almost nobody does the Great Commission anyway? What are you afraid of them stopping someone from doing it? It's not happening anyway in most of Western Protestant churches. Well. I don't know it's just that I'm afraid they're dangerous There's suspicion that they're just lazy. They just cop out people they don't want to deal with real life So they go to the prayer room when's the last time you prayed eight hours in a day. There's a work in the prayer room That's not a cop-out place. I trust me. It's not there's a labor There's a a certain dynamic that is necessary when God calls these Mary's in these annex Some are threatened by them they feel well if they get in place We'll feel inferior the answer is not to get rid of them and the answer is to become secure in who you are in the Lord Be secure in your calling your calling is the great calling for you and the vast majority will not be in that place And a Protestant Church, I believe we're gonna learn to honor them release them. We're gonna make a place for them They're gonna fit in somewhere and when the Holy Spirit enters and Mary's just listen It's coming right to the end here as the Lord moves you and begins to help you embrace this new identity You may be 20 you may be 80 you may be male you may be female But some of you are feeling rude even as I'm talking you're good. That's really who I am I mean you will be involved in the work of the Great Commission in the event in the active part not just the prayer part of The Great Commission, but when this identity settles in you and that's why we have to call it forth. There's a new strength That will rise in you that comes from a focused lifestyle When this identity sells in you a new determination and ability to dismiss the other options I know about this a little because it's happened in my life I have a real clear sense of personal identity in this calling and the other Options I will not by the grace of God follow them I have all kinds of options in many places of Conferences and all kinds of things that then I could be involved in and this identity that I'm clear settled I dismiss the options. They're not even a temptation when the identity settles in you the options go away That's the power of having a settled identity and to who God's called you to be the body of Christ Now the Mary's and the Anna's you have to acknowledge your very very limited ministry Your strength is your focus, but your weakness is your focus It's only one sliver of the whole pie of the kingdom of God and by yourself You will not accomplish much together Linked relationally the apostolic teams and local churches doing our part together It's a fantastic symphony of the blessing of God when no one can do it separated from the others These Anna's and Mary's will be foundation stones to the global house of prayer movements absolutely foundation stones as the beginning the vast majority still around MCF I tell you this is a great place. I mean a lot of weaknesses a lot of weaknesses, but it's a great place There is a corporate sentiment in this church that values the Anna's and the Mary's we don't fully understand at all But there's the majority of the people in this room and these three services The majority say you know, I'm not maybe not called there, but I'm glad people are called there there's a different spirit in this body of people and it's an unusual thing for a local church to have a Symptom and a positive sentiment for the Anna's and the Mary's this is a safe place for Anna's and Mary's to be raised up That's a powerful reality, and I thank God and I bless you as well But this is the reality in this place that is a strange thing for a local church Most local church want to get rid of them somehow because they just disrupt the equation Amen, let's stand back this card here Current I have schedule there it is There's 13 hours a day. That's what we're doing now till September 19th the September I have schedule in bold print those are the new ones plus We're gonna do all day Saturday and all they said they imagine busy hectic Saturday Things aren't going away you sneak away for an hour or two and there you are there's an anointed worship TV You bring your laptop if you have to you got work to do But you just want to be in a place where your spirit goes through and off Bring your laptop bring your work turn out the table do it do your list When the singers are ministered to the Lord you may stop cry a little bit and take your list off. You know you're You're the organization of your life left. That's what I'm talking about takes me hours to do that one Come imagine any time sleepless one night 3 a.m.. You get up There's a team there ministry to the Lord you know wow I like the healing the flow out of this body soul and stay Responsible Singers we need you we need more singers because we're gonna complete the schedule We want you to some of you we can use now, but others we're gonna wait for the full schedule in September musicians Intercessors you look you say well, I can do the Saturday meetings, but you don't have Saturday meetings yet, okay? Well, then sign up now intercessors once a week and don't come till September when we have the Saturday meetings Put your name on this if you will Fill it out, and you can buy what you bring it up here Just a minute if you don't have a pen you can drop it in the on the eye and the offering box on the way Out or next week you can drop it in the IHOP offering box. You can just mail it to us the address is there Just know it to us. We need everybody once a week. We need all that we need trumpeters I'm craving trumpeters Some of you men and women dust off the old trumpet get it out the closet and start getting the old lips ready on it Again, we need you we need the trumpeters in the house of God We have a lot of instruments, but I want the fact that about that You know we got to get that part in there if you don't I will I'm telling you. It's true, so you better come forward And as it marries do you feel like that's your calling you don't have to be sure you said you know I think I'm a full Time and that could mean different things to different people, but I mean it's an extravagant part of your ministry is what I mean by full-time to do it a lot Do you feel like that's who you are maybe take a few years to get there? You think that's who you are. I want you to come and stand right here right now Go go ahead move Analysts and marriage you think this is who you are it doesn't mean that in the next year or two you're gonna Have it settled, but you say you know I may be a while to get there This is who I am this is who I am we need you The end-time prayer ministry means the IHOP needs you got the IHOP in the 1040 window needs you We're gonna plant these things through Asia and Africa. We need you the end-time ministry needs you We're gonna help you find ways some of you of how to be released more and more we're gonna be working on it That's the way it is along There's a way that the Protestant Church can release the Marys and the Annas there is a way to God for this Globally, and we're gonna champion the Marys and Annas across the world I call Protestant leaders to call Bless you, bless you Mary, bless you Anna, male and female, young and old We need you One percent of the body of Christ, maybe or less, but oh the power, the impact you have In context of its ministry in the church Oh, we need you desperately Take courage Anna, take courage Anna, rise up Mary A new day in the kingdom of God, God's making a place for you in these next years It may take some time, be patient Renew the vision right now. I'm asking you to renew the vision. Say in your heart I am a Mary or I am an Anna. Just say Lord, it's me. It's me. Yes, yes Come and fill me up Like the deepest sea Like the crashing waves I'm gonna ask for people that have been involved in the house of prayer, at least the ones that are already involved in the house of prayer Those that are already involved in the house of prayer, we're going to lay hands on these and we're going to say, take courage The Lord's making a way for the Protestant Church To call the Marys for the Annas. There is a way, I don't know the whole way But I got a few hints already on how it's going to work a little bit Hi-hop people, come on up. I need you to lay hands on them. Thank them. Say thank you for saying yes, we need you Take courage Bless them, agree with them. We agree with you before God that you're a Mormon Again, fill these cards out, these form cards, response cards Mail them in, put them in the offering boxes, whatever, put them up here on the platform Darkness can not overwhelm me I will not fear Your love is here to comfort me I'm going to go ahead and release the rest of you To get your children from the children's ministry I'm pouring out Coming flowing in They'll be young Like the deepest sea Like a crashing wave Pouring over me Pouring out Coming flowing in I will not fear Your love
