He Is Our Food and Drink
Scott Hynds

Scott Hynds (NA - NA) He heard the call to the ministry of preaching the gospel around the world. As John Wesley said "the world is my parish" and Scott believes this vision has been passed on to him. In the providence of Almighty God Scott had the great Joy of working in the Roman Catholic community with the elderly. He made sure that these old men and women received the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He found this experience overwhelming through the love of his master and rejoices in that Christ can set you free from any bondage including deep hatred. Scott recently returned home to Northern Ireland after a few years in Australia as an itinerant Evangelist and Pastor. The Lord has led Scott to plant a church in his home town of Portadown and Pillar Christian Church belongs to the Assemblies of God in Ireland.

Sermon Transcription
The title of my message tonight is, He is our Food and Drink. Psalm 36, verse 8. The scripture says, They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house. And you shall make them drink of the river of your pleasures. That was scripture. They shall be abundantly satisfied. Or in other words, they shall be saturated. That's what that means. You know, I want to be saturated. I come from a land, the pastor just shared, lots of rain, grey skies, and rain, rain, rain, and more rain after that. And I am sure, over the years in Ireland, have been saturated many, many times. There is no light shower back home, nor trickle, nor drip drop. No, there's an abundance of rain. They shall be abundantly satisfied. They shall be saturated, the scripture says, with the fatness of His house. Hallelujah. The fatness of His house. This speaks of the sumptuous feast in the Lord, the blessing of God. His house is where His presence dwells. Hallelujah. God dwells in our midst this evening, in the midst of our praises. God is with you. God is with me. God is with His church. Hallelujah. His presence is in this place. His house is where His presence dwells. In our midst tonight, we have the bread of life. In our midst tonight, we have the manna from heaven. In our midst tonight, we have the fatted calf. Hallelujah. In our midst tonight, oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. He's a good God. He's a good God. Psalm 34, verse 8. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Hallelujah. That word taste means to perceive by flavor. Perceive by flavor. I don't know if you know this, but there are restaurants in the world today where you eat in darkness. Darkness. You can't see a thing. Utter darkness. And the waiters even are blindfolded. And so you are served food in complete darkness. Now if you don't eat a lot of food or you don't dine out a lot and go to many restaurants, then what I could say tonight is that your taste in many ways is very much restricted. That word taste means to perceive by flavor. I think of food connoisseurs. And a food connoisseur is an expert judge in matters of taste. So even though a food connoisseur is in the midst of darkness, if they are given something, they may not be able to see it. But once they put it in their mouth, they can perceive by flavor what that is. You know, I believe tonight in many ways, and I say this reverently, that we are to be Christ connoisseurs. We are to be expert judges in matters of taste. Because even in the church today, we have all sorts in the church. We have seducing spirits. We've got everything happening in the body of Christ at this time. And even today you could say that we are in the midst of darkness. And days will get darker. And brother and sister, things and more things will come in. And we need to perceive by taste what is in our midst. What calf is set up before us. What bread is set up before us. We need to perceive by taste. And we need to draw nearer to the Lord. We need to draw nearer to God. And if we draw nearer to God, God draws nearer to us. We need to taste and see that the Lord is good. Amen. Brother and sister, taste. Hallelujah. Taste. Be perceived by flavor. Obviously it is quite easy when you see what is presented or what is set up in front of you. But we walk by faith and not by sight. And even in the dark times, we walk especially, we walk by faith. We must be sensitive. And we must be discerning to taste. Food critics dine in different restaurants. They don't stick in the one restaurant. They go to the Italian restaurant. They go to the Thai restaurant. They go to the Chinese and the French, the European or whatever. And friend, tonight God wants us not to stay in one place but go to a new place. Go to another place. Hallelujah. And to dine with Him. The Lord wants us to dine with Him. I think of Jesus in the Gospel of John 21. He is resurrected. And He is standing by Tiberias, the sea. And the apostles are out there doing a spot of fishing. The Scripture tells us that Jesus prepares a meal for them. And the Scripture says in John 21 verse 12, Jesus said unto them, come and dine. He didn't ask them to bring what you caught. There was already something prepared for them. But they had to come. And as we know, Peter jumped out. The apostles drew near to the shore. They had to come near to dine. They had to come near to taste. They had to come near to feast on what the Lord had prepared. It wasn't the hand of man. It wasn't orchestrated or created or prepared by the hands of man. But Jesus Christ, the Messiah, had prepared a meal for them. And they had to come. And they did. That word, dine, in the Scripture speaks of breakfast. The Lord had prepared breakfast for them. You know, brother, sister, I just don't want breakfast. I want lunch and dinner and supper and in between as well. Amen. I want the snacks and the nibbles. I want more of Him. We must have more of Him. It has to happen. He must increase, but I must decrease. It has to happen. It has to happen. Tonight, I always say this. Get yourself an Oliver Twist spirit. I'm sure some of us have read the Dickens novel or watched the movie. Anyway, there we have wee Oliver Twist. And all the boys are sitting there and they're having a wee bite to eat. And Oliver's not content. And he gets out of his seat and he makes his way to the front with his bowl. And he says, please, sir, can I have some more? And friend, tonight, I want to be a little bit like Oliver. I want to get out from the crowd. And I want to make my way to the King of Kings. And I want to hold up my heart to God and say, please, sir, can I have some more? And God will withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly. Hallelujah. Now, the man that Oliver asked for some more was quite angry. But God is never angered. God is never grieved when His child draws near to Him and asks for more. And there's plenty. There really is tonight. We sung about it. Psalm 73, verse 26. He is my portion forever. Hallelujah. He is my portion. The fatted calf is in our midst tonight. He is my portion. He is your portion tonight. Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Hallelujah. I shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of His house. Hallelujah. You know, our portion is large this evening. It's not dainty and minuscule. It's an all-you-can-eat feast. Hallelujah. You know, we were out today for our cowboy boots. Our pastor was Bama Dees. And we passed this, I think it was a Chinese restaurant, Chinese buffet. All-you-can-eat. We have one of those back home. I remember going to the Chinese buffet back home. Paid my money. All these delights spread out before you. You know, I made sure I was getting my money's worth. I had at least four or five plates that night. There was a girl in front of me that was with the party. And she had this little plate in front of her. And I'm thinking to myself, you know, you should be up there. You should be filling your belly. The many delights before you. I wanted a little bit of everything. I didn't just want to stay in one place and just draw and eat from this place. I wanted a little bit of everything. And that's what I did. And I paid my plate. And I paid my plate again. Listen, He is our portion forever. A large portion for us tonight. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Hallelujah. It's an all-you-can-eat feast. In Revelation 3.20, we know this scripture where Jesus talks about knocking. If any man or woman opens the door, He says in Revelation 3.20, I will come into him and dine with him and he with me. What a pleasant dining partner the Lord Jesus is. You know, there are people in this world today, outside this church, and they're dining alone. Literally. And it's not pleasant to dine alone, is it? Especially if you go out to a restaurant or even in your home. It's not pleasant to dine alone. But I can emphatically say this evening that as a Christian, I never dine alone. Because the Master is across the table. Hallelujah. He's across. And we as believers, we never dine alone. And it's a delight for the heart of the believer. It's a delight in the heart of Christ that we would dine together. That we would taste and see that the Lord, our God, is good. Hallelujah. Now here's the question tonight. Who or what is across the table from you? That's the question. Who or what is across the table? I said about an Oliver Twist spirit. Here's the thing. Don't cultivate a Mick Jagger spirit. Now where am I going with this? Most of us, older folk, let's say, know who he is. Lead singer of the Rolling Stones. And we know a song that he sung called Satisfaction. And it's been said that alludes to sexual immorality. Or it alludes to the accumulation of, let's say, goods. We all know that song and all the lyrics. He couldn't get any satisfaction. And I want to say this to you tonight. That if your heart has been regenerated by the Spirit of God, you will never get any satisfaction outside of Christ the Lord. Amen. Never. There's nowhere to go. Where else can we go? For he is the words of eternal life. The Scripture says, he is my portion forever. My portion forever. Isn't it wonderful to know, friends, that we can never exhaust his wonderful presence and the depths and the layers and the doors and the places of the presence of the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is my portion forever. I remember, it was Christmas a number of years ago, back home. We went to a restaurant. I ordered a dessert. And they didn't have it. And I'm scratching my head. It's Christmas. You should be stocked up. You should be ready. That's what you do if you're a business person. And you obviously assume that many people are going to come and dine, that you would have your larder, that you would have your fridge full. But they ran out. He is my portion forever. He is my portion yesterday. He is my portion today. He is my portion tomorrow. And more importantly, he is my portion forever. He is my portion in eternity. Glory to God. And we cannot, nor will we ever exhaust him, the presence of him, the depths of our God. Hallelujah. Glory to God in the highest. I watch a program back home called MasterChef. It's a cooking program. And MasterChef, the professionals, we have professional chefs and they compete against each other for the title of professional. MasterChef. And there's a judge and you call him Greg. I love him. Now he's not a chef. And do you know what he is? This is what he says. He's a professional eater. Any professional eaters in this house tonight? Greg is a professional eater. And I love his passion. Now you watch Greg and Greg gets his spoon or his fork. And he takes the spoon and he lifts a little bit and digs into that dessert. And puts it to his mouth. The camera's on Greg. At first you see his eyes rolling. Okay. And then you see the smile on his face. And it's what he says really, you know, makes me smile. Because Greg will turn around and say, that's just beautiful. I just want to jump in and swim inside that thing. That's what he says. And he means it. If he could fit inside, the man would jump inside. But he means it. He's passionate about food. He's passionate about eating. He is a professional eater. And brother and sister, tonight we need to be passionate about the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. He redeemed us. He set us free. He liberated you. He liberated you from darkness. He brought you into the glorious light. And we need to be passionate about him. Our eyes need to roll. There needs to be a smile on our faces and a smile in our spirits. Because Jesus Christ of Nazareth lives and dwells inside us. Hallelujah. Our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life this evening. That's awesome. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Greg says something like this when he has a taste. You know, it starts off a little hot. And then it gets a little sweet. So, it goes from one thing to another thing. And that reminds me of God. He's so complex. He's so delectable to our hearts this evening. The Westminster Shorter Catechism. We know this. Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. Hallelujah. I want to enjoy the Lord. I am enjoying the Lord. Glory to God. God wants us to enjoy Him. To enjoy His person. To enjoy His presence. Just like John the Apostle who reclined on the Master's bosom. Just like Enoch who walked with God. Just like the psalmist on the hillside. These men and women, they enjoyed the Savior. They enjoyed the Master. They enjoyed Jehovah. They enjoyed the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They enjoyed the fellowship and intimacy that they had with the living God. And as a church tonight, we need to draw near. We need to taste and see that the Lord is good. We need to enjoy Him. Enjoy Him even more. Hallelujah. We've got a lot to smile about. We're saved. Glory to God in the highest. Death shall not touch us. O death, where is thy sting? Glory to God, we're going to sleep. If the Lord tarries. God is so amazing. He is to be enjoyed. He makes the taste buds of your spirit leap. Hallelujah. He is the palate pleaser of your heart. Glory to God of your spirit tonight. That's who He is. You know, if you know a good cook, and you've dined at a friend's relative's house before, and you get another invite, well, you know that you're going to something good, don't you? You know that you're going to something that will be enjoyable to you. And you get quite excited about that, don't you? You get quite stirred because you know that you're going to something good. There's a chef back home in the UK, and I love this guy. He's a three Michelin star chef. He's at the top of his game. He had the, I think it was the best restaurant in the world at one stage. And he did a series called Heston's Feasts. And one of those feasts was called Heston's Chocolate Factory. And he created this feast after a movie from childhood, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Now you watched as the celebs, celebrities were invited to come and to feast on Heston's Feast. And as they were going in, they were interviewed, and you could see in their faces and just hear from their language how excited they were. Because they knew that they were going to something marvelous. They knew that they were going to taste things that they had never even tasted before, which is true. He creates all crazy and wonderful things, wonderful dishes. And he actually created wallpaper, lickable wallpaper like in the movie. He created it whether it was bananas or strawberries or blueberries or whatever. And you watched as these celebrities were licking the wallpaper and their eyes were rolling. And they were shouting and they were screaming and they were excited. They were like kids. And then also he created a chocolate fountain. And everything was edible, all the grass and the rocks and the boulders. Everything on there was edible. And you could just see these adults and how excited that they were. Friend, can I say this, this evening? That we even now can't even imagine or even fathom in our finite minds what awaits the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. What awaits us tomorrow. What awaits us in eternity. Hallelujah. So many great things. So many wonderful things. So many perfect things. So many virtuous things. So many God things. Hallelujah. What awaits the blood-bought redeemed church of the Master of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. O taste and see even today that the Lord is good. Enjoy Him. Enjoy His presence. Enjoy His Word. Glory to God. 1 Corinthians 2, 9 and 10. But as it is written, eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. Hallelujah. We have dined on present glories of the Gospel, have we not? We have dined on present glories of God's Holy Word. But what awaits the child of God tomorrow? What awaits the child of God in eternity? It is glorious. It is exciting. Hallelujah. I pray and hope that you are smiling in the inside, that your inner man is leaping and skipping even now. Hallelujah. You have to when you get touched by the Master. It is like the man in the temple. The man had an awful life, terrible life, illness. What happened? The Lord touched him. The power of God touched him. The power of the Master touched him. And he began to what? He began to leap and to skip. You would think that was at the hands of or through Peter, isn't that correct? The Apostle Peter. He began to leap and he began to skip. I tell you something, when Jesus touches you, you have to do a bit of leaping and you have to do a bit of skipping. Amen. Glory to God in the highest. You have to. When He touches you, when He touches you, glory to God. What awaits the church in eternity? He shall make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. And our pleasure is in Him. Our pleasure is in Christ this evening. Psalm 1611. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Amen. Pleasures forevermore. I was on this website, blog, some guy who is a fisherman, fishing, fishing in this river. And showed you all the pictures of the species that he caught. It wasn't just one species of fish. It was many different species of fish in that river. And friend, tonight when we think of the river of His pleasures, there is so much. So much there. And can I say alas that too many people today are looking for gold and silver in the river. They are not looking for Him. They are looking for His image. Isn't that correct? They are panning for gold at the bottom. That's what they want. It reminds me Christmas has just passed. Santa Claus. Many parents queued up with their children that their child might sit on Santa Claus' knee. Now, if that child was anything like me when I was a kid, I wasn't interested in sitting on Santa's knee. I was more interested in the sack beside Him. Amen. I wanted what was in the sack. And that's the problem with us. That's the problem with God's people at times. They are more interested in what's in His storehouse than seeking His heart and His face. They are more interested in what's on the side of the throne that can cause them in many ways in their flesh to sense an elation and pleasure. When in fact, brothers and sisters, this evening it should be just about Him. Just about coveting a relationship with Him. Just about cultivating a walk with the Master. There's nothing like it. There's nothing like walking with Jesus. Amen. There's nothing like the presence of the Master in your life. As I've said before, John reclined on the Master's bosom. He was near to Jesus. All the other apostles were darted around the table. You know, I don't want to be Nathaniel way over there. I want to be John near to the Master's bosom. Where are you tonight? Where am I? I have to question myself. I don't want to be across the other side. I want to be near to His heart. Glory to God. I want to desire. I want to sit at the feet of Rabbi Jesus. Hallelujah. That's where I want to be. That's where we have to be there. We need to be there. Hallelujah. We need a desperation in our hearts, truly, to be desperate for Christ. I think of drug addicts. I was an addict. I was into everything. Drugs. Probably my biggest habit or addiction was gambling. From no age, from like 13 until I got shaved. But you think of an addict, and you think of the things that they will do to feed their habit. They will rob. They will hurt family members. They will do everything and anything to get a high, to feed their habit. And you know, I thought about that. And I thought about my relationship with Christ. I need to be desperate for Him. I really do. We need to be desperate for the Lord. We should be desperate. We should, night and day, come before the Lord and covet the heart of God. Just God. Lord, it's only You that I may possess the greatest treasure of eternity, the Lord Jesus Christ. That my soul will be saturated with the presence of the Lord. That every nook and cranny and part of my being will be saturated and will desire and will covet and will long for the Lord, my God. As the heart of the deer pants after the water, so that my soul will pant after Thee, O God. That my soul will long for God, for the living God of my flesh. And every part of me will long for the truth, for the way and the truth and the life. And Jesus and only Jesus and nothing else. Or no one else. Just Him. Just Him. And enjoying Him. And walking with Him. And talking with Him. And being with Him. Oh, that God would take us from that place to another place. And we would discover new layers and places or whatever. There's more. Hallelujah. That He would give us succeeding abundantly. Indeed, above all, that we can ask or think according to the very power of God. The power of God that lives and dwells in our being. We have the God of heaven. The creator of all things living inside us. Even that in itself should cause you to jump and to leap. Glory to God. The creator is before all things and by Him all things consist. Hallelujah. It's with us. The rivers are the river of His pleasure. The greatest delight of our heart is Him. The greatest delight, the child of God, the divine presence. No greater pleasure than being near to the Lord. You know, when I was a kid, we would go to a place called Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Which was or is in England. And I was taken there as a child. My family would go there on a holiday. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a little bit like a mini Disney World. And you'd venture into that place and get on the rides and enjoy the creation of man. Here's the thing, too many people were on the Blackpool Pleasure Beach. And not enough people in the water beside the beach. And there are too many of us in the church today that are enjoying the creation of man. When we should be in the river. Too many of our hearts are prone to wander and to stray. Even as Paul said, that evil is present, present with me. And friends, indeed, the flesh must be decimated. Amen. It must be destroyed. It's of the utmost importance that we die, that He might live. He must increase, but I must decrease. I've always said this, if you can get a tattoo on your forehead, get that scripture. Hallelujah. He must increase. I must decrease. Every morning when we wake up and we make our way to the mirror. And we shave and we put our makeup on. That we would see that scripture. He must increase. This is my goal. This is what I desire to attain to. He must increase. Day after day after day. That we would go from one place. One degree of glory to another. Because He is changing us from glory to glory. Hallelujah. And when you look at that scripture. What that scripture means. It means a severing or a departing. A disconnecting from one glory to another. And here's the thing. Too many people are stuck in yesterday's glory. They're stuck there. They've made a decision to stay where they are. And God doesn't want us to stay where we are. But that we would move to a new place. That we would move to a new place. That we would have indeed the revelation. The understanding fully of Christ. God's Son. Hallelujah. God doesn't want zippers, but slippers. Bit of a tongue twister. In case you didn't see that the Lord is good. Go to England and get zippers with their cup of tea. The ladies sip. God wants us to slurp. I think of a man that's working hard in the field. Putting up the fence. And the wife brings down a nice cold can of coke. That guy's not going to sip that wee can of coke. He's going to slurp. God wants us to enjoy Him. Amen. To get excited about Him. To get passionate about Him. That's what He wants for our lives. The river of His pleasures is in the midst tonight. And if we draw near to Him. Hey. We could catch something. I don't know what we could catch. But we could catch something new. Wouldn't that be wonderful? If we could catch something new in the Lord tonight. That our hearts. We think back to the fishermen. We think back to the apostles who went back to their job. Who went back to their work. And they went out. And they toiled all night. And they caught nothing. And then the Master says to them. Listen. Cast your net that place there. And they did. The scripture says they got an abundance. And friend tonight. We need the Lord to speak to us. We need the Holy Ghost to tell us where to cast our hearts. And if we listen and obey. We will get a harvest. And I'm not talking about a harvest in our hands. But a harvest in our hearts. That's what I want. I don't want, you know, what the thief can steal. What rust can corrupt. Or the moth can contaminate. No, we want to build up our treasure in heaven. Amen. Set your affection on things above. And not on the things on earth. Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. I have to challenge myself. We have to challenge ourselves tonight. Where is my heart? Where is my heart? What is my heart? Or who is my heart connected to? Glued to? Sealed to? It needs severed if it's not Christ. If it's not His ways. It needs severed. It needs detached. Indeed. Drawn near to God. And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship and you shall find. And they cast therefore. And now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. We need the Master indeed to show us. In His presence there is so much to find. I believe there is an abundance indeed of pleasures. As pleasures change. I believe as pleasures alter. And we need changed. And we need altered. Psalm 17 verse 15. I shall be satisfied when I awaken with thy likeness. Hallelujah. What a scripture. I shall be satisfied when I awaken with His likeness. His likeness. You know many people will be wheeled down to the surgery room this coming week. I suppose. Maybe even tomorrow. And they will have a little bit of surgery. A little bit of cosmetic surgery. A few hours later they will wake up changed. Won't they? They will wake up changed. Altered. By the scalpel. You know I want to wake up changed. I really do. Tomorrow. And I tell you something. The scalpel of the sanctifier is at work. Amen. The scalpel of the sanctifier. And He loves us so much. He doesn't want to leave us the way that we are. He doesn't want to leave you over in that place. He wants to take you from that place to this place to another place. That we might indeed be conformed to the image of the Son. That's the goal. Hallelujah. That's the goal. That's why we are called. That we might be conformed to the image of the Son of God. The scalpel is out. Reminds me of Uday I think is his name. Or was his name. Hussein. The son of Saddam Hussein. He had a double. A body double. And it was said that his body double went through quite invasive and hard surgery. To alter his appearance. Alter his likeness. To make him look like Uday Hussein. I'm sure that was quite painful. Quite traumatic for him. It's not easy. When the scalpel of the sanctifier of the Savior is out. But friends it's necessary. Amen. It's necessary. And we embrace all that the Lord wants to do in our lives. Even though we don't understand or perceive what is taking place. His ways are not our ways tonight. We would love His ways to be our ways wouldn't we? We would love His thoughts to be our thoughts. But they're not. Because they're higher. And my finite mind cannot understand the infinite eternal omnipotent omniscient almighty Jehovah God. Hallelujah. He's doing things. I want to wake up brother and sister in a new place. Amen. I want to wake up in a new place of likeness. A new place of change. A new place of intimacy. A new place of glory. A new place of pleasure. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. He is good tonight. And praise God that one day we will awake for the last time into the fullness of His likeness. Hallelujah. 1 John 3 2 Beloved now are we the sons of God and it does not yet appear what we shall be. But we know that when He shall appear we shall be like Him. For we shall see Him as He is. One day I shall awaken. One day you shall awaken. Into the fullness of His likeness. Glory to God in the highest. Hallelujah. That excites me. That causes my spirit to start to leap a little bit. And skip a little bit. And get animated a little bit. Because that's the prize. That's the prize for the child of God. Glorification. Perfection. We will never grieve the spirit of God again. We will never say things or look at things that will hurt the heart of God. No we will be perfect. Because we will have the likeness of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That's the goal. Hallelujah. That's the treasure. That's the treasure of the heart. Truly the regenerated born again believer. Who's been born again. Not by corruptible seed. But by the incorruptible seed. The Word of God that lives and abides forever. That should be your heart. Your heart should be steered towards that place. Even this evening. Just Him. I need to be like Him. We need to be like Him. We need to be desperate. More desperate than we've ever been. We need a desperation. Deep, deep. Something that's deep inside us. That we cry. That we wail. That we call upon the Lord. God change me. Change me. God I need to be changed by your presence. I need to be changed through the Word of the living God. God spurn out the rod with me God. If it brings me closer to you. If it brings me closer to your likeness. To your ways God. I need your ways. Your ways need to be my ways. Your thoughts need to be my thoughts God. It has to happen. It must happen. It must happen tonight. It must happen. Amen. Hallelujah. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Glory to God. Glory to God in the highest. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He's a wonderful Savior isn't he? He is a wonderful Savior. He never fails. He never fails us does he tonight? He never fails us. He went to the cross. Gethsemane. The travail of a soul in Gethsemane. On the cross the scripture says he was obedient unto death. Even the death of the cross. The master was nailed to the tree. And thank God tonight that my sins and your sins were nailed to the tree. And if he did that for me. If he did that for you. Should I not covet day and night to be like him? Should I not yield my all to him? You know I have a friend back home. I have an orphan one here. I have a friend back home. And do you know something? He won't sing I surrender all. Because he says God I don't mean it. I can't sing that song. I really can't. I thought about that. But I know this. There's a desire inside my soul truly that burns in me that I want to surrender all. I want to surrender all. But that's what happens. We don't. We hold back. We hold back. We're a little bit like Iraq or Afghanistan. Liberty. In the city. But there's a few insurgents running about. There's a few insurgents running about my life and running about your life. And they need to go. All those little things that entice you. All those little foxes in your midst. All those little things that creep up and bite you. All those little things that I don't know about and the pastor doesn't know about but God knows about. All those little things in my life that are there. That are hindering you. That are stopping you from going to the new place. Maybe they're not big things but wee things. But wee things morph into big things. Wee things morph into monsters. The sanctifier. Bless the Lord tonight. And we thank God for his word. Hallelujah. And I pray that God would seal every word to your heart. And rebuke the devourer. And rebuke the liar. And rebuke the murderer. That's what the devil is. That's what he was. That's what he will be. And God indeed that you would take the seed of God's word. Freely. And receptively. And let it birth. And let it grow. And that God would grant the increase. And that you would take off tonight. Amen. I will be taking off in another week into a new place. That you tonight in a prophetic type of way would take off into a new place. Hallelujah. That's my prayer for you. Amen. Father we thank you tonight God for your word. Heaven and earth we heard it earlier shall pass away but your words shall never pass away. Jesus you said and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Hallelujah. We thank you for these scriptures tonight. For the promises of your word which are yea and amen. If the son therefore shall make you free. You shall be free indeed. Lord we thank you God that you want God. You want your church. You want your bride God. To come up hither. As the spirit said even to John. Come up hither that I might show you things hereafter. God we want to see things hereafter. Lord we want to be caught up. Lord we want to be caught up into the air. Lord we want to encounter you God. Lord we don't want to be nominal and mediocre in our walks. God we want to be passionate. We want Lord God to be so passionate about you and invigorated and stirred by the spirit of life. Oh God indeed help us tonight Lord for those that need severing. God you can do it. We need sever tonight. Praise God by the spirit. Mind thinks of conjoined twins. How those conjoined twins and babies must undergo many many hours of surgery. To be separated. And friend tonight your separation will not be overnight. It will be traumatic. It will be deep. It will be sore. But I tell you it will be worth it. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in you. The glory of God. Father we know that we need it God. Father we pray that we would not resist. But embrace your work. Your heart. Your vision for our lives. Your pathway. Your walk God. Your steps. Help us in Jesus name.
