Before we have our time of prayer this evening, I want to bring a message to you. This may be one of the most alarming messages I've ever preached, friends. It makes me tremble to bring it before us this evening, but I must. This nation stands on the brink of a national tragedy delivered to us by our enemies. Listen, friends, the enemies of America are not encamped around us, but are already living here among us. They've crossed our open borders, and they are ready to rain destruction upon us. But because of our pride, we believe we are untouchable, even though 9-11 proved otherwise. Our enemies are threatening to drench our streets with our very blood, and we don't believe them, but we will. This nation is ready to plunge into a series of devastating judgments because we have rejected God and His authority. Therefore, we have forfeited His protection. The title of my message this evening is Will a Bloody America Be Driven to Her Knees? And my text this evening is from Isaiah chapter 1, verses 4 through 20. You can turn in your Bibles there now. I want to read us our passage now because it indicts us as a nation and demonstrates our position of danger because of our moral bankruptcy and our sad spiritual declension. Here now is the Word of God, and may the Spirit of God be pleased to attend the reading of His Holy Word. Ah, sinful nation! Ah, people laden with iniquity! Ah, seed of evildoers! Ah, children that are corruptors! Ah, they have forsaken the Lord! Ah, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel! Unto anger! Ah, they are gone away backward! Ah, why should ye be stricken any more? Ah, ye will revolt more and more! Ah, the whole head is sick and the whole heart faint! Ah, from the sole of the foot even unto the head Ah, there is no soundness in it! Ah, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores Ah, they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment! Ah, your country is desolate! Ah, your cities are burned with fire! Ah, your land! Ah, strangers devour it in your presence! And it is desolate as overthrown by strangers! And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city! Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah! Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom! Give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah! To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me, saith the Lord? I am full of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts, and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand to tread my courts? Bring no more than oblations, incenses and abomination unto me, the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies. I cannot away with, it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth, they are trouble unto me, I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you. Yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear, your hands are full of blood, wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes, cease to do evil, learn to do well, seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow, come now and let us reason together, saith the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool, if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land, but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword, for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. Now let me ask you friends to listen to some statistics of a decline of a nation. In 1963, the Supreme Court declared school-sponsored Bible reading and the recitation of the Lord's Prayer unconstitutional. It was a watershed mark in our nation's history as the first major turning away from the God of the Bible. In 1963, friends, we kicked God out of our classrooms and we've paid for it ever since with school shootings, drug addictions, and atheism among our youth. A decade later, in 1973, we saw Roe versus Wade in that decision and legalized abortions. And since that time, a recent document has been published by the educational director, Dr. Randall Obanon, that states that since 1973, we as a nation have had 54,559,000 abortions in this country. Let me ask you, friends, are we a nation ripe for judgment? Listen to this, 22 million Americans use illegal drugs and now we're legalizing marijuana in several states. Currently, the U.S. is experiencing some of the highest levels of drug addiction than any other time in its history. We are a nation of violence with 15,000 murders a year. Our nation is enslaved in sensuality and fornication. One-third of our nation has STDs. 83,000 people a year die from alcohol-related causes and many of our youth participate in binge drinking. Marriage in this country used to be between a man and a woman, but perversion seems to be spilling over our nation like an open sewer with no end in sight. Our military is removing all the Bibles off our bases and making it even a crime to hand out tracts, even for our chaplains. It's as if the entire nation is a country of God-haters. We are indeed a nation ripe for judgment from the hand of God. God may use our enemies to bring us to our knees. Will a bloody America be driven to her knees? Will we return to the God of the Bible if our enemies begin to destroy us? Will they have to blow up our cities and cut off our heads in our major towns before we turn back to God in humility and repentance? Is there any hope for revival anymore or is it just too late? Is judgment all that remains for America? Heaven help us, every one of us. Let us go now to our knees and pray.
