Sermon Transcription
God lives and works today. But today, more than ever before, people seem to take offense at these words. How can God be at work today when there is no peace? Didn't He promise to establish a kingdom of peace? And yet the world becomes less peaceful and more war-filled every day. The following program by Basilee Schlink has an answer to the question, When will peace come? Perhaps you've already asked Jesus in your thoughts. We've heard that you are the Prince of Peace, and there will be no end to peace when you are on the throne of David and are in your dominion. But just the opposite is true. Everywhere war is threatening to break out. When will the time come for you to show us that you are indeed the Prince of Peace, the peace that will know no end in the kingdoms of this world? This is what we long for. Perhaps Jesus will answer, Take heart, the time is at hand. Soon I will set up my kingdom of peace on this earth, and there will be no more wars, no more fears, and no more terrors. But first I must establish the kingdom of peace in the hearts of my disciples. The church must be complete before I come and bring the kingdoms of this world under my dominion, so that all nations shall worship me. Then peace will rule on earth. The fears and tribulations of these last times will help to prepare my church for my coming, because in them she will learn how to overcome. So whoever finds his way to peace in suffering, in danger and persecution, will overcome. During times of danger and persecution, I will prove that I am the Prince of Peace, who is greater than all tribulation. For then my disciples will be lovingly united with me, and I will fill their hearts with peace. Let us look forward to this day and prepare for it, for Jesus is coming soon to establish his kingdom over this world after the judgments take place. Soon there will be no more wars, no more horror, no more violence. We are living in the last times. It is probable that these are the last decades in this age. We are going out to meet the King of Peace. So let us worship him now as the Prince of Peace, and our hearts will become happy. In a wonderful way, Jesus, the Prince of Peace, will carry out his commission to bring peace according to the eternal plan. He will bring victory and salvation until the whole world is full of the glory of God. He will carry out this commission with judgments for mankind and suffering for his church, and this will prepare the way for his coming. Jesus will act according to his name, prove himself to be the Prince of Peace and establish the kingdom of peace. God's name is yea and amen. His holy name we laud and praise. He does, he does whatever he says. This program by Basilea Schlink has come to you from the little land of Canaan.
