Welcome to the Lord's Challenge with Joshua Daniel. The Layman's Evangelical Fellowship International is a ministry reaching people from all walks of life since 1935. After a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of 16, Joshua Daniel has been declaring the marvelous deliverance from sin, which is freely given to all those who turn to the loving Savior. Wherever this message has gone, broken relationships have been restored, sickness healed, ill-gotten money returned, and thieves turned into givers. We now invite you to watch and receive the invaluable blessing that God has for you. You know, we have been speaking last about the sinfulness of sin. We see in the 18th chapter of Matthew and the 11th verse, I believe, for the Son of Man is come to save that which was lost. Really, the preacher of the gospel, wherever he looks, there is such great need where only Jesus can deliver. You know, we have got to make the government know this. Hey, this is beyond you. You can't handle this. It is not some kind of voodoo or some kind of mantra that we are doing here in order to get money. You know, this money thing is a horrible hindrance to the gospel. In one place, they said to me, a preacher is selling little bottles of oil, saying this is anointing oil, and it costs so much. And over in America, now what I just said was right in the East, in India. Over in America, a preacher said, while I was standing on this platform, I had a vision of the Lord. So, they broke up that platform into little pieces of wood and began to sell it. What has money to do with these things? Money does not figure at all. It's love. It's compassion. You know, we bypass these things. Oh, this is a hard case, difficult case, but did Jesus Christ bypass anybody? And why are we here? We are here to amend our ways, to put ourselves in alignment with God's word, so that the power of God might freely flow through us into a lost world. You know, my dear friends, some years ago, not very long ago either, a visitor to China, as they were walking down the road, said, hey, what are those little cubicles, or what are those structures? Oh, and what are those little windows on top? Those windows are meant as openings through which baby girls can be thrown to die. You know, friends, if the gospel were not there, my, my, I don't know how men really live without the gospel. We need it in places of work, in the factory floor. You know, people complain of all kinds of strange ailments. I give you power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. What? Have we become a bunch of cowards? This great Savior is given to us as the gift of God to take to every creature, and we have not done it? I was having a campaign in a new place, or at least I didn't know the layout of the place. I didn't know, but the Lord showed me a park with vacant spaces. I had never been in that place or in that park. I didn't know. I sent one of these young men that was with me. I said, go and look for a place to pitch a large tent, and we'll have a campaign there. The Lord shows me a spot which is very convenient, and so I preached under that tent for 23 days or something, and a man who was a stranger to me came to see me. In the mornings, I would sit there counseling people till almost the afternoon. Then I would get ready for the evening. I had to travel quite some distance across the city, and there he said, I am a magician, and I have been challenging magicians in South Africa and other places, and, you know, I immediately placed that man because a child had suddenly died, a child whom I never knew who was attending one of our Sunday schools had suddenly died, and it seemed like a mystery. Why did this child die? This man 700 miles away, 600 to 700 miles away, was practicing his black magic. Today, we see people who come out of families with an ancestral curse, a generational curse, but if we are not able to deliver them, they just struggle through life. It's a generational curse. The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge. You see, folks, no hope. Fathers have eaten sour grapes, and their children's teeth are set on edge, and what does the gospel do? It breaks that spell, and the person becomes caught free. Now, if that doesn't happen, what are we doing? We are gathering a club around ourselves, a convivial club. What? My dear friends, when I see that the Stonehenge has become a place of meeting of the witches and magicians, I don't know if one of these days the cabinet will go there or or they are going to have a visit from royalty. You know, folks, stones being venerated and evil spirits hiding beneath that veneer, and what cure have you got for that situation? It is the blood of Christ. You know, the devils tremble when the blood of Christ is mentioned. You see, I was told one day before going to preach at a conference in Germany, a woman here has been suddenly taken ill, a Russian by nationality, and the psychiatrist or the doctor from the psych hospital is expected any minute. Will you come and pray? Well, I was not expecting that kind of challenge before the meeting. I was quite young in those days. I said, okay, give me a little time to pray, and I'll come down on my way to the podium. When I went into her room, she was white as a sheet, immobile, could not move. I said, say victory to the blood of Jesus. Some foul liquid flowed out of her mouth, and she said victory to the blood of Jesus. She was healed, and they rang the psychiatrist or the doctor who was expected. Your visit is not required. So, my dear friends, we have been given—what are you singing? Armaments of what? Yeah, in heavenly armor. Where's the sword? Did you sing about the sword? The swordless preacher. What? My dear people, and Jesus said, I came to seek and to save that which is lost. We are living amongst a lost people, a lost generation, trouble in the classroom because of demon possessions, and some of the other students are frightened when the seizure takes place, and we are going to see more of it unless we have the courage to apply the blood to this horrible scene. Now, my dear friends, if you turn to 2 Corinthians and the 4th chapter and the 3rd verse, but if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. You know, we are dealing with nations today. We have got to have a message which is broader in its application than to a small bunch of people. You know what I'm saying? A young man in Ireland told, said to me, I've written to the Queen to declare a day of prayer, and of course, it's only in a national emergency that we declare a day of prayer, came the reply. And you know, during the war of independence, which America fought with Britain, 16 days were set apart for prayer and fasting. During that 16 days. Now, you write to your president for a day of prayer. I wonder what kind of reply you will receive. If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them who are lost. You know, I normally don't put my passport in my case immediately, attache case. I put it into normally, but on that day in particular, I put it in my pocket. And I went to inquire, you know, the booth was right there, and I left it on my trolley or whatever with the baggage and said, when is the flight going to leave? By the time I made my inquiry and turned back, my case was, attache case was gone. That had happened to me earlier in Zurich and also in California. See, so much security and all that, but stealing is on the rise. Employee theft. What? I am adding new words to my vocab, you know. Employee theft. Companies losing a lot of money through the thieving which takes place inside the company. And we are trying to build great edifices and congratulating ourselves. If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. When I came across some of these aborigines in Australia and their great fight for ancestral rocks. You know, there are places where in America, in good yielding fields where nothing grows. Nothing grows. And they say, well, our ancestors did their thing here. You know, my dear friends, the curse is broken by the coming and death and resurrection of our savior. We are not able to demonstrate it. We wax eloquent in our words. No, this will never do, my dear friends. We need a whole transformation of our mindset. Why am I here? I want to put a placard on my platform which reads, you have no business here except to exalt Jesus. You have no business here. You know, we make it our business to interfere here, there, everywhere and create a lot of confusion and commotion. What? Over what? Over trifling things. Alas, oh God, I am not able to redeem the lost. Alas, oh God, I am not doing what it takes to bring Britain back to God. You see, multicultural thing and all that nonsense. King Alfred, it is amazing, devoted half his time to the things of God. It's amazing. And then King Alfred based the legal code of Britain upon the word of God, the Ten Commandments. You know, sharia law. There was a bishop, I don't know who, who was recommending sharia law. What? The shoplifted. What did this fellow take? He stole a handkerchief, lop off his hands. What? What does Jesus do, friends? Jesus makes those stealing hands, giving. How amazing. He doesn't lop off those hands. But who became my great helpers on the platforms? Great thieves, highwaymen, robbers who used to break into houses. They became such a wonderful help to me as I can to naturally handle so many things. And they would pray. They would claim the promises of God. Now, the promises of God are before us. Call on me and I will show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not. And I say, yes, Lord, do those things which history has never known. Do them and you can pray the same. Let us pray. Lord, I will get myself a clean conscience. Anything that is between you and me, I will put right, cleanse me, wash me in the blood. Please, Lord, deliver us and save us in Jesus' holy name. Amen. This program is brought to you by the Layman's Evangelical Fellowship International, an interdenominational missionary and prayer group working for revival around the globe.
