A scientist asked Albert Einstein’s wife: “What do think about the relativity theory which your husband invented?” With a smile she replied, “I don’t know anything about that. But I can tell you one thing. You can believe Albert 100%. That is the Lord Jesus Christ. He said, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” (John 14:13-14) Unlike other gods, whatever you ask in the name of Jesus you will get; it’s a promise from God. Why did God give such a promise? God’s Word says this: “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him a name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11) The Lord Jesus Christ is the answer for all our problems. Maybe you are on the verge of a disaster, because of your sins. All your relationships might be at stake because of stress. In this situation, when we say that “Jesus Christ is the solution to all your problems,” it means He can make your life brand new. His name is above all the other names which you fear. What’s in a Name? What is a “name”? The meaning given in the dictionary is, “A word or set of words by which a person or thing is known, addressed, or referred to.” Theologian Andrew Murray said: “What is a person’s name? It is a word or expression in which a person is represented to us. When I mention, or hear a name, it brings to mind the whole man, what I know of him, and also the impression he has made on me. The name of a king includes his honor, his power, and his kingdom. His name is the symbol of his power.” The person who believes in the name of Jesus doesn’t have to fear anything in this world. The Lord Jesus said that whatever we ask in His name will be given to us. The name of Jesus Christ represents all His acts, not only that He is our mediator in heaven. The overall work and power of Jesus is represented by his name. Christ is completely human and completely God. To reveal Himself in this earth, the Lord chose the name Jesus Christ. To save us from our sins, God became human. There is salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. Through Him we will receive forgiveness for our sins, relief from diseases, peace and heaven.
