Christ in Us - Part 2
Norman Grubb

Norman Percy Grubb (1895–1993). Born on August 2, 1895, in Hampstead, England, to an Anglican vicar, Norman Grubb became a missionary, evangelist, and author. Educated at Marlborough College, he served as a lieutenant in World War I, earning the Military Cross, though wounded in the leg. At Trinity College, Cambridge, he helped found what became InterVarsity Christian Fellowship but left in 1920 to join his fiancée, Pauline Studd, daughter of missionary C.T. Studd, in the Belgian Congo. There, for ten years, he evangelized and translated the New Testament into Bangala. After Studd’s death in 1931, Grubb led the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade (WEC) as general secretary until 1965, growing it from 35 to 2,700 missionaries, and co-founded the Christian Literature Crusade. He authored books like C.T. Studd: Cricketer & Pioneer, Rees Howells, Intercessor, and Yes, I Am, focusing on faith and Christ’s indwelling presence. Retiring to Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, he traveled, preaching “Christ in you” until his death on December 15, 1993. Grubb said, “Good is only the other side of evil, but God is good and has no opposite.”

Sermon Summary
This sermon delves into the concept of self and spirit, contrasting the nature of humans as persons with the essence of God. It emphasizes the need to recognize the presence of Satan as the source of negative emotions and thoughts, urging believers to acknowledge the indwelling of Christ's spirit within them. The speaker highlights the importance of understanding one's identity as a vessel containing either the spirit of Satan or the spirit of truth, and the transformative power of accepting Christ's presence to overcome darkness and live as complete individuals.

You read the Upanishads, that's the sacred book of the Hindus. That art thou, that, if he has a great perfect that, what are he? Don't know who's a person, you see. And so, in their religion, you go back just to essence. You disappear. Because they don't know that you, heart, image, are a person. Thank God you're a person. That's why Tulsidas says, we are persons. That's why Tulsidas is a person. We make exact records. We don't disappear in essence. These things do. We don't. That's the difference. Our human spirit is its own spirit. Made like God. That's the wonder and seriousness of being a person, because it means you operate like God. That's the point. We respect God's nature, God's power. Because we made like God. It is. God is spirit. Bible says, Jesus said God is spirit. Spirit I am. I think, I will, I think, I love, I act. That's a person. I know things, I desire things. I do things. That's a spirit. And the Bible says, we follow our spirits in Hebrews. And it says, when we die, spirits are just like we are persons. Spirits are just like we are persons. Spirits are our real self. This, this floats off. What's inside us? My real person doesn't. Hindus don't know that. Those who don't, not Christians, don't know that. Don't know that. Unfortunately Mohammed is known under perversion. Mohammed came much later. The churches had perverted the Gospels. And they said, the Gospels said, a father who had a physical wife produced a son. A man made a physical God. Mohammed was a mystic. Couldn't take that. He's got a physical wife. So Mohammed doesn't know a personal God, but don't know a saviour. They don't know, you see, they just know a God in whom they're free. They're free. They have to worship him. Do his duties. They don't know a God in mercy and grace, because they know God's a saviour. We know God's a saviour. So, you see, I began, what I began to find is this. And this is what Kevin does, is that this person, this, this person, this first person, could be one of two opposites. Now, here I've got my new truth. Which is, God cannot lie. Lie is a person who doesn't do it for himself. Now, you can exchange your answer. Well, God cannot lie. That's when this man said, because God brought his child to be, and his self became an other lover's self, so he became a self-loving self, became an other-loving self. Two opposites. Now, I began to see then, of course, the whole universe consists of opposites. You only, everything only gets its strength from opposites. That light only shines because it's dark. It's flourished, it's falling dark. If you see it all your life, you wouldn't see it like that, would you? You wouldn't see it. You only see it because it has opposites. And in turn, it eats up the opposites. All things are two opposites. If a cook makes watermelons sweet, you have some non-sweet material, and you know how to suppress your sweat. You swallow up the non-sweet, that's the sweet. Or the other way around. And that's opposites. We know heat and cold. You live in a hot area now, down here, so you have to have agencies which can swallow up the heat, don't you? But it's only because there's heat, it swallows it up. I live in the colder countries. We have to heat things to swallow up the cold. It only gets its strength from opposites. The whole universe is together, it gets its strength from opposites. Now, there are parts outside you. Electricity parts are negative. And the atoms are positive and negative. I don't want to go on for hours. I don't want to stop you any time. I don't want to bore you. And before you get bored, I'm talking about things that are terrifically real to me, because they've got the answer to me. But you've got to have the answer. It took Moses 40 years to find it. It took Jesus 30 years. Jesus didn't find the answer until he had baptized him. It's pretty serious. To find the answer itself pretty easy, and there's already an answer. All I've got to do is say, this goes, this doesn't. Unless I've got my answer. I've got an answer to do something. I have to be a real self, a real self is tremendous. But I'm so concerned I've lost sight of it. That's what you're saying. If you've got concerns enough, then you've got to get something right to go on. You were glad to get yourself right. How can you get the whole self right? I got my beginnings right. I got my sins out, God forgave me, but clearly I'm a child of God. But I'm a very messy child of God. I've got a million, I've got a million failures. What about my messiness of failures? I'm trying to say to you that life, in the end, has to be serious. You have to be a whole person to eternity. And I get it fulfilled. God's purpose for me and you is eternity. And the actual purpose is, I told you, as God coheres with Christ, we're going to inherit the universe. Now, go back. He starts by giving us this world. We made a mess of the world because we're not right kind of people. We lost the world. The Bible says we can have dominion over this world. If we have no dominion, we're lost. We can't handle our tensions and wars and fear. Look at ourselves, we're a mess really. We can't handle it. We've lost our way. So God can't entrust the universe to a person who will lose their way and make a mess of the universe. He's got to have people who can put you in this world. Thank you, dear. You think I'm talking about hair, but you're right. Thank you. I'm trying to dig out the intense necessity of finding the whole answer because I could be a whole person. Now, Paul is one of those, again, in front of that. In his last letter to Timothy, he made a remarkable statement about himself. He said, I thank God for he counted me faithful putting me in this. Now, it's one thing for us to count God faithful. It's another thing for God to count you faithful. There is a place where I'm reliable. How can I be? God must have reliable persons. Not I have a reliable God. He must have a reliable person to whom he can trust his universe. So I've got to find my reliability. I haven't got it yet. I haven't got reliability at that time. I couldn't take it any afterwards. That's why I had to be desperate. Mercifully, God gets at you, mainly through suffering, through shocks and fears. You've got to be desperate. He puts us shocked that I've got to find the answer. That's the value of suffering. That's why it says, the perfect person is perfect in suffering. Even Jesus. Suffering is forcing you to get an answer. Shocks and suffering forces you. Where's the answer? I got my 40 when I went to Africa. I hadn't got my ticket to do my job. It forced me to find the answer for myself, if other people had their answer. I keep on going back to that. And I began to find the answer on these opposites. I first got the answer, of course, there's one person. You're, I guess, the agent in which he expresses himself. One person. There's one person. And you're the agent in which he expresses himself. But then I found that that person had solved the opposite to himself. If you're only a person, all things have opposites. Eating, I told you, everything. Persons, persons' opposites, it's the God of eating. Why do we have the God of eating? Always beautiful. Everything's beautiful. George attended, and there were just names of animals. A friendly place. Right there in the middle are two trees. Why? Why two trees? A tree of life? And a tree of death? I said death. You see, if you take that tree, you die. My view, death is disappearance. This is reversal. The reverse self. Life is a right self. Death is a wrong self. Life is a self for others. Death is a sin self. Self for self. Death is, the hell is people full of self for self for self for self. And this poor world is announcing self for self for self. That's hell. That's hell. Self for others is hell. So, a tree of life and a tree, not sick, don't take that tree. You take that tree, you have death. So, right in the middle, in the middle of the harmony of the garden, a challenge. You have to face it. See, before you face opposites, you're a little baby. That's a little baby. You can't let a little baby go near a hot stove. It doesn't go hot or cold. You can't let a little baby go near a pool of water. He won't get to it. He doesn't get no dry water on dry land. Life is laying opposites. So, in the garden of Eden, they didn't know opposites yet. They just enjoyed the beauty and all that, but the trees were opposites. Because, you see, a person, the final person, isn't heat and cold, sweet and bitter? Yes and no. It's a self. A self for self, a self for others. My me was held opposite. God's me didn't remain me for me, one. Yet his son became me for others. Me, self for self, self for others. His fire became light. Now, that's the heart of the universe. That's the person. Now, I've made a person like God. So, I have to have my opposites. I have to get answers fixed up. And the fixation at bottom, what kind of person am I? Now, that's what got me at 18 years old. I'm self for self. I saw that. Me for me for me. I saw that. Something wrong with me. It's all for me. Something wrong with that. Underneath, the world knows that. That's why we try to say, I'll do the best thing for you. I'll be the best of the United Nations. We think we ought to love one another. We ought to love each other. Now then, while I go on, I'd like to give you a brief answer to this question I've raised. It is this, that the Bible then tells us, that in the amount of heavenly people, of which we don't know much, angels and so on, called to their own powers, there were persons. We don't know whether they all had persons. We should judge angels. It doesn't look as if angels are ministers. It doesn't look as if they're the same type of personalities as ourselves. But there were persons. A person is a person in the conscious of choice. The only person in the conscious of choice. And the choice is, am I me for me? Am I me for others? What's how I will myself express itself? I've told you how the Bible reveals God's expression of the Father, Son and Spirit. There came around another person close to the throne of God, called Lucifer. Lucifer, mentioned in Isaiah, mentioned in Ezekiel. The word Lucifer, first to bear, Lucifer's light. To bear light, like an ant. Not to be light. To bear light, to be in other love. To give light. To be an ant, to give light. To be an other lover. But as a chosen one. And the Bible says, that person, I won't be that. I'll be myself. I won't give myself to give God's light. I'll be my own light. I've got plenty of capacity. I'll run me own self for my own self. So he became this fire stuff. Consuming fire instead of becoming light. And the seriousness is, Jesus made a remark himself in the mount. If the light is in his darkness, how great his darkness. Light is you think you're right. We all think we're right. We think we're right. If what you think you're right is really right or wrong, you're in trouble. That's what Satan is. He thinks he's right, a certain self. His light is dark. That's what it is. Dark light is certain self. The world thinks it's right, this certain self, I think. Isn't the whole world around certain self? I'll be the best self. Isn't the whole thing full of self? I'll be the best self. It's the wrong light. The whole world's caught up by the wrong light. I call it light. If the light was in his darkness, how great his darkness. And that's what Satan is. Now you see, that's what happened in the test. In the gods of Eden, they didn't even see the necessity of the tree of life when you need it. That's salvation. Taking Jesus Christ as the tree of life, when you need it. But David didn't know that. But they were tempted by the other tree, not by Satan. And Satan, who came up as a simple serpent to that tree, said, come on, take this tree. God said, don't take it. He said, God's not very kind. Lots of good things in that tree. Developing many types. He said, take it. And Satan tricked Eve and Adam, Paul and Eve, which have been doing that ever since. And they said, we'll go our own way. Self for self see. My way, not God's way. That's it. Satan said, my way, not God's way. That's the opposite. Self for self, self for others. And what that meant was now, that meant that, therefore, the symbol of truth, that Adam and Eve took into them the wrong God. Do you see my point? We humans are made to contain. I told you, we're here, we're desperate to contain. Now the Bible says, you can be less than wrath and less than mercy. Which do you contain? All that too. You can't contain the wrong, God's spirit in you. Called spirit of error. Spirit of Satan. Self for self for self. You can be driven by that one. That came into us through the fall. Or, if you'll get Jesus Christ, you can contain the spirit of truth, the spirit of another, and be driven by its other love. And so, man got caught up by the wrong spirit. Now again, I think it's hard to be weary, and I don't think it's, it's heavy stuff, and it takes some time to get through. Maybe I ought to stop there. I'm only stopping halfway. See, what's happened to us, we've become blind. And the whole world thinks they're right, but they're in the wrong spot. That's a lie. There's no such thing as being in the wrong spot. Humans are a vessel. A vessel doesn't run itself. It's what it contains. We contain the wrong, we contain Satan. And that's a self for self, we humans are operated by, the whole world is operated by. Try to do this, do it better, argue it. Self effort is Satan. Good self effort, bad self effort, all Satan. The right spirit is, you do things, what God called you to do, that's a person's office. And we have to learn opposites. So, the world has fallen from the point of the wrong tree, taking it on, into what simply captures the world. Me for me for me, it's this world. Does it have to be like that? Me for me for me, a bottle of champagne, it needs light, a bottle of champagne. We can't give ourselves, you were saying, well give yourself, it's a protector, it's a defence, it's a defence, it's self defence, it's self for self, it's a defence, it's self through freedom, communism, it won't die for communism, it'll kill communism, it doesn't know it, nations don't know it. It's Satan, nations, all this is governed by Satan, they call it, it's good Satan, self for self, it's Satan. Only one didn't do that, God gave his son, he didn't care. That bus won't go to hell for you, that's God, doesn't care, love doesn't care, it'll do anything to save you, that's God, it isn't us. This was, Can't go that way, self for self, runs our nations, runs our new nation, runs everything, runs business, at bottom, means for me. Very few people sell out their business for other people. They give some, they keep plenty. And they protect all our life, but self-protection, self-protection, it's satan, it's satan. I tell you, we're in a dark, dark world and we think it's light. That's the difficulty. It's light, we think it's dark, we think that's light, we think self-preservation is light, it's dark, it's satan. I must keep myself, I give you a bit and I keep plenty. That's satan, that's satan, that's satan, good satan, bad satan. So the whole world's caught up with this. Now we're, we're, we're, we're blind. The greatest evidence of that was before Abraham came. Before the children of Israel came and they came along, the world was so, it was gone in a drum. The whole world had gone wrong, only Noah and Abraham. The whole world lived self for self. It became a chaos of self-loving self. And he said, I still can't strive with man of Darwin. Only 120 years alone Moses and Noah. 120 years he preached and they wouldn't take the woman. No one did it, only Abraham. Good God. That shows how dark, how light, how dark your light can be. And the world was living self for self for self, God had destroyed it. And he preserved enough to bring it together Abraham. To get the men to begin to believe God and go God's way and through the people, Moses and then the law. They begin to get the light through, the law and the tabernacles are beginning to get light through. I can't go into that, I don't know. 3,000 years later it would be written, thee like Jesus Christ, thou have been a person. All the rest are symbols. Sacrifice of animals and all that. And the law is a symbol. It's an utter fall of God. It's a fall of God. God himself is a person, not a law. Jesus Christ. And he crucified him, the world can't take him. But because he's a person, he came as us, he could take the death as us. So when they killed Jesus, they didn't just kill Jesus, they killed, we died in Jesus. And that was the night the pebbles appeared to our sins. So Jesus said he could represent us and on the Calvary his death could take the pebbles of our sins. And go to hell and rise again as us. That's the secret, Jesus represented us. All right. But he did one more, this is the vital secret for us, I mustn't even mouse off all those. The vital secret wasn't that he shed his blood for our sins. But he gave his body to his death to get rid of the sinner, the sinner is Satan and it's not us. We're a vessel, it was written. We're slaves, what more? Odour. We're a branch, what tree? We're only expressed, the one who operates us. Satan operates us, he's a bad tree, we're branches. He's a bad liquid in the cup. He's a bad boss and we're doing his stuff. We never know him, that means we didn't know him. He's Satan's great liar, he runs himself, he doesn't. He's that form of God, God died to him. God was fire, there was a fire surface of him. God's become light. Satan made a fire, turned that fire into a self-preserving fire. So that form God never was, he fixed it himself. He's that other form that God never was, because God died to him to control his own spirit. He got rid of us and we think it's us, it isn't us. A cup doesn't do anything except contain. A branch can do nothing, it withers except be joined to God. Only a slayer exists because he does his own stuff. We like computers, computers are marvelous, but that's our program. Unless you put those things you put into it, it won't operate. So when you put it in, it operates what's put into it, it doesn't operate. We never did. And our vast lives we lived with them. The whole world thinks it's very simple, it's Satan, Satan, Satan, Satan. Self for self, good or bad. And Paul said it, Paul 5, Romans 7. Paul 5, Romans 7. When I would do good, there'd be evil, really. Not I would do bad. I would do good, because I would. Self-effort is Satan. It's his false, self-reliant self. It's a lie. See, God died to become a self-reliant self, but he was so crazy. His life was self-giving love, not self for self. Satan made self-reliant self, so good self-reliant self is still Satan. So when your church says you pray more, work more, they tell you Satan, stop it. Our churches start by giving you the gospel, and then give you Satan. Satan is going to give you self-effort. Pray more, work more, it's definitely Satan, it looks right, it looks right. Do you see how serious it is? When your church is teaching Satan, it's pretty serious. And that's our tragedy. If you don't give Satan, you give Christ in salvation, then you give Satan self-effort. Good self-reliance is much Satan. That's what Paul found in Revelation. He tried to do it. That was my trouble. I must be better. I must have more love. I must have more victory. Less tensions. Less giving way to sins. I must be better. God said, shut up. I must. It's Satan's job. Or you're in a container. Nowadays, you haven't learned the second work of Calvary. I'll tell you it's a body work of Calvary, and a blood work. That's why in the Lord's Supper you have the memory of the blood in the wine, and the body in the wine. Why body? Paul found this out. He said when Paul went three years to Arabia, he didn't know this. He graduated with a Masters. No, he shouldn't have run away. He hadn't found Christ in him. He knew Christ for him. He had to go into Arabia to find out. In Arabia, not just that the blood took away my sins and the spirit came to me. I see now, this person represented me. He represented all the human race, Lord Jesus Christ. When he hung there, I hung there. But he says, a human person exists to contain the divine spirit. You had the false faith in you. We had Satan's spirit in us. The devil's spirit in us. So when Jesus hung there, I hung in Jesus. He represented Satan. Paul said, God made him sin. Not the sins. Made him be a person expressing the sin spirit. Sin is a product of the sin spirit. And Jesus Christ made sin spirit. That's why it says, my God, my God, my God, I have forsaken you. And when, Paul said, when that body died, it outgrew the spirit. So when that body represented all of us, it went to the tomb, as an outgrew the spirit. And into that body came a new spirit. That's the victory. The sins, his blood took away. His body then took Satan out. And Satan went out to take his place. And in that body, Satan, Christ, in terminology, represented us. Now I understand. When I get far enough to be satisfied with myself. See, the world can't see this. They have got to get their sins first. They can't see it. All this is nothing foolishness. Because they can't see it. They think they're right. I'll be the best person. I'll be the best man. It's all Satan. It's all, I'll be the best. All Satan. It's terrific. Good self is bad self. The world can't see that. And mercifully, the Bible says, sin isn't imputed where there isn't law. Only when law comes, you see what it is. So the world doesn't know they're in sin. It is blind. The world is blind. It doesn't know. And thinks their life is really dark. You start to find that when you find your sins. It gets insane. But then you see, because you thought yourself right, you thought yourself, okay, there's no sin in me. So I said, that was Satan trying to make me a better person. Satan didn't know that. And Jesus Christ had really put him out, so I didn't know that. You only get what you believe in. All the world said it was in Jesus. But you've got to believe. And if you believe your sins out, there's a second act of faith. And it can only come when somehow, you're at the center of yourself, your sins are out, you've got to say, you may even know Christ is in you. What about yourself? I try to do better, and do this, and make resolutions, and this thing catches me out. What's wrong? And then last it said, because you'll still be deceived, self-effort is used against Satan. Really, Jesus put him out there. Do you believe it? Go see it. In Christ's time, Satan not only sins without Satan without you, but that doesn't work until you're able to see it. Like when you don't receive salvation, you receive Jesus. So there has to come a time when as Christians, we say, this is where man makes up. Nothing's wrong with me. But I wasn't talking about myself. I've been lying, running myself. I never did run myself. A vegetable never runs itself. A slave never runs itself. A branch never runs itself. It's a lie, lie, lie. Don't run by the tree running the branch. Don't run by the boss running the slave. Don't run by the liquid in the cup. Not you. But at last you can see it. See, that's what happened before. I got the wrong person. I didn't mean me. It was me. That's Satan in me doing this stuff. This do better, work at it. All self-effort. All is Satan. Good self-effort is bad bad. It's all Satan. You're deceived. You're blind. But at last you can see when you're tired of yourself. It isn't working. Then, because it isn't working, so you're mistaken. That self-effort isn't you at all. It's Satan. And it was put out 2,000 years ago, if you believe it. Not only was sin put out. Satan was put out 2,000 years ago. Christ made sin, died to sin. Not only bore our sins. Made sin means he expressed the sin spirit as he hung there in Calvary. And died to sin means outweighed that sin spirit in the tomb. He came in this way. Not only sins out, sins out. Now I should say. Now I should say, I'm just being tricked. It looks like Satan did it. Satan is bluffing me. Only Christ lives in me. I'm just a Christ expression. Satan's out. Now the big moment is to believe that. Now the reason why it's so difficult to believe is we're so used to ourselves. And so used to seeing our failures. We think we're failures. You're not a failure. You're beautiful. The failure is Satan operating in you who didn't know it. God doesn't make failures. God made us beautiful. God doesn't make nice bastards. He made nice people. Every person made nice. And you call what is nice, nasty. That is not God. God said you're nice, you're nice. Nothing wrong with you. Isn't one appetizer? God made the appetizer. God made you beautiful. It's not that you, because you're only a vessel. It's what's within the vessel. That was Satan in you. He made you think it's you. He puts through your lust and hate and fear to think it. It wasn't you. That's Satan putting his lust and hate and fear to think it's you. And then you get condemned. Because you think it's you. You think it's you. You're not capable. A cup isn't capable of being the coffee. It can only contain the coffee. It can't be the coffee. A bryce can't be the vine. It can only express the vine. You're deceived. You're an expresser of the spirit in you. The spirit in the form of Satan's spirit of self for self. It's not God making you think it's you. It's just that he thinks you're undeserved. It's just this false self for self. And, see, so we've been deceived people. That's why an important verse in Romans, Revelation 12, 9, it's the only verse in the Bible that gives all the names of Satan. It says, that old serpent called the devil a Satan. What did he do? Corrupted himself. He deceived us. Tripped us. Made us. Sticked us out. Made us not. Made us sick. We were robbed by satan. We never did such a thing. A bryce can't rob by satan. A vessel is no good by itself. A snake can't rob by itself. It's one. And, see, we've had this other spirit of making us think it's us, doing this stuff as us, putting his lusts, hates, fears to us, as if it's us. Jesus Christ will put you out. Took the sins away in their penalty, and took satan away when he's made sin as a body in the body of death. But you only get what you say and believe. And the world doesn't get saved. The world's saved if they believe it. I think I believe it. They've got the covenants, you see. And they've got to admit they're sinners. So many, many go to last. But the whole world could be saved if they knew it. You just have to see. You did it 2,000 years ago. But you didn't do it. He did it. Oh, thank you. Now, the same thing. When you believe, you say, I don't do such a thing. Satan was put out 2,000 years ago. I'm being bluffed. He's not in me. But you've got to believe it. Now, it's very hard because you're so used to condemning yourself. You're so used to accusing yourself. I hate. I fear. I lust. I have these things. You condemn yourself. That's not you. That's Satan using you. And Satan was put out 2,000 years ago, if you believe it. Now, the crisis moment is believing. If you're born again, you had to come to confession one time. You had to confess your sin and receive the Savior, didn't you? Somewhere along the line, you had to come out somewhere and confess your sin and receive the Savior. Then, if you're born again, the Spirit came back to you and assured you, you know, you're saved. Only when you moved in and confessed and received it. Now, you can't get this, they should do that. Now, that took your silhouette. This took your self away. Your false idea of self, which is a self-operating self, a lie. You're a self-containing self, not a self-operating self. You're a cup, not a liquid in it. You're not self-operating. You're bound to be self-operating. You express the lie and not yourself. A saint isn't self-operating. He's operating his own self. A computer doesn't operate itself. It operates its own thing. You see the lie? So, I've got to come clear. Now, your chief persecution will be for the Christians. Because we're taught even in church to preserve yourself. Pray more, better, be better. And to seek salvation from the nation, we admit we're not too good. Exactly. Because you can't be too good. It isn't you to be good. You are a good person, but the bad in you is Satan in you. The good in you is the spirit in you. It isn't you. And we think we're not too good. No, you're not. You can't be good nor bad. You contain the good spirit, and you contain the bad spirit. And Jesus Christ has put the bad spirit in you, if you believe it. So, it's a very big move I had to do years ago. So, I'll be here going. What I had to do, I did with my wife. It took us five hours. She has her own banal plantation. The African. We stayed out through the night to pass the fuel. So, we said this. I was crucified with Christ. Therefore, he looked at me. I had the Satan spirit in me. When he died out, that Satan spirit came out of me. Nevertheless, I lived. Ah, when he lived, it was my new spirit in me. I lived. No. The new spirit. Christ in me. Satan died, Christ in me. I say so. And the life I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God. He conveys a consciousness to me that he is the one living my life. That's all. Now, you have to say it. And profess it. I had never professed it. We were away in the forest. I just wrote it on a bit of paper. Here lies the whole of crucifixion of Christ. My wife did the same. And about two and a half years. In one night, which yesterday we traveled in the villages. In our camp bed. We camped a mosquito in the zone. That's menacing to Africans. One night, it's like a touch on my shoulder. It's the Holy Spirit. Why don't you know I've got you? She saw. I waited two years longer. Men are tougher. And the day came. Oh, I see. What did I see? I'm talking to a great teacher, an old lady teacher in England. I went back on furlough. Mrs. Penrose, a great teacher. And she saw. I think she saw my problem. She saw an old story. You're born again, now a new spirit being, spirit of God, specialties, other love nature, as you. And you're a walking Christ, but you're a walking Satan. You've got to say so. And the people who attack you in the churches, because they dare believe this is okay. It's okay, God doesn't make bad things. Don't insult God, he made good things. He never made a bad person universe. We've been deceived, nothing is wrong about me, it's who uses me. Nothing wrong with the carpet, who uses the carpet. Nothing wrong with the garden, it's what mine is. Nothing wrong with the spirit, what do I know. And it's not us. And we've been, as the saints have made us think that service is perfect. It isn't us, it's been put in us. Hate, fear, services, tensions, depressions, worries. That's Satan getting at you, all the darkness is Satan. Now when you see that, when darkness comes in, don't fight it. Here it is, I've got this trouble in my home, my family, my business. Look at this mess, all this thing that worries me, I'm torn up inside, depressed. You don't deny it, you say it. Then you say, wait a minute, that's Satan bluffing, he doesn't live here. So you've got to accept him first and say, is it me? I'm hit by that, I'm knocked over, don't deny that. I'm depressed, I'm fearful, I'm angry, I'm lustful. Say it, don't deny it. Then you say, wait a minute, that's not me. That's just, he's putting up with everything. He's putting up with Jesus Christ. And then you find Christ love, Christ peace, Christ power to overthrow. And light swallows up darkness. Like Satan, you don't fight the darkness when you come to a room. You don't say, there shouldn't be darkness, but you do. You accept the darkness, where's the light? Where's the light? Where's the darkness? And that's it, that's love. So when we're attacked by temptation to fear, which is like darkness, fears, every time, outside, inside, you accept it, not as you, not as you. Hey, where's the light? Christ is me, Christ is you. As you follow Christ as you are, you find peace, joy, power, overthrow, et cetera. It's like a train sometimes, sometimes you can take time with it. It's clear to you. It's clear to me. That's it. And you're a complete person. I told you, how can I tell actors to be complete? Because I'm complete. God made this funny thing, it's his joke. He says, you didn't choose me, I chose you. I said, you made some pretty poor choices. It's up to you. You should have made them. Now, it's on him, I'm all by myself. He shouldn't take me on, it's his fault. So God loves me, I'm free. And I'm a human being offered by the Lord Jesus Christ. And that's the only person offered to me. Christ lives in me and in you, if you believe it. But you also believe this person who appears to be you isn't in you. He's all around you, he's pulling at you all the time. Fears, emotions, desires. Then you say, admit him. But admit him not as owning you, as pulling at you. Not because drawing away or drawing away. When you admit that, if you're fighting for believing in God, don't fight him, don't believe in his power. Admit that he is pulling, that's it. That's bluff. You're not the power. Christ is the power. You're able to say, when you admit his rights to pull at you, I hate you, knock you over, tragedies, trials, business troubles, home troubles. All right, take him. Say, that's Satan. I'm now saying God's got nothing else in hand. God's got a good thing coming out of me. I'm saying it now. You say faith in a dark situation, you turn your eyes on it. And you find, you prove it. Here comes the light, you see. So we're whole people. I can now go back and say you're a whole person. Jesus Christ with a black body, not quite beautiful. God made that.
