Sermon Summary
K.P. Yohannan shares the transformative story of Sadhu Sunder Singh, a young man who once rejected Jesus and sought to end his life due to a lack of peace and happiness. In a moment of desperation, he cried out to God for peace and encountered the divine light and voice of Jesus, leading him to realize that only through Christ can he find true forgiveness and purpose. This powerful testimony illustrates that the name of Jesus holds the key to deliverance from sin, despair, and the struggles of life. Yohannan emphasizes that rejecting God leads to a life influenced by negative forces, but embracing Jesus brings hope and fulfillment. Ultimately, the sermon calls believers to fully surrender to God for a purposeful life.

The Name Above All Names (Part 2)
The Vision of Sadhu Sunder Singh SadhuSundarSingh Years ago, I spent some time in Punjab. Both my friend and I visited a place called Patiala. The purpose of our journey was to visit the house and the village of Sadhu Sunder Singh. Sadhu Sunder Singh was a young man who used to tear and burn copies of the Gospels, one who dishonored the name of Jesus. He was a very intelligent youngster who was the son of the richest man in that area. He had everything according to the world’s standards, but he could not find happiness and peace in his life. He concluded that the solution for all his problems was death, and he decided to end his life. He picked out a railroad track where he would do it. That night on his bed, he was crying and talking to himself. “God,” he prayed, “if peace exists anywhere in this world, you have to give it to me. If don’t get peace before dawn, I am going to commit suicide.” He could not sleep that night; he was tossing and turning in his bed. Suddenly in the silence of night, his room was filled with a divine light. He heard the voice of Jesus, whom he used to hate, saying, “Sunder Singh, I am the way, the truth and the life. And I love you.” He was confronted with the truth that day. “Jesus lives for me. Only through Him can I achieve forgiveness; no other name in this world is above his name.” Sunder Singh believed in Him. He became a servant of God. He became a testimony to the Lord throughout the whole world. For all the problems and needs in your life, Jesus Christ is the solution and the path. The Name of Jesus Can Deliver You The biggest sin in this world is rejecting God. We will be thrown in to hell when we don’t have a relationship with God. When you reject God, alcohol, drugs, anxiety and greed will start to influence your life and make you depressed. But even if these things happen, or you are under the power of the demon possession, the name of Jesus can deliver you. Even when we often get many of the things which we wish and pray for, we still don’t give ourselves completely to God. We live in pain, misery and hopelessness. God gives many rights to the person who believes in Jesus Christ. Our life will be purposeful when we understand this.
