Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the speaker emphasizes the importance of making a difference in the world and not living a self-consumed life. They urge listeners to not let the sun go down without touching someone's soul or bringing the love of God into someone's life. The speaker shares their personal experience of someone coming into their life with the sole objective of leading them to God, and encourages listeners to do the same for others. They emphasize that every believer has a calling from God to break the strongholds of sin and darkness and bring others into the freedom of Jesus Christ.

You better be prepared to die. You see, this is a place of death before it's a place of life. If you came here and you say you gave your life to Jesus Christ, I want you to know that there's a place that you can point to, there's a time that you can remember, and there's an experience that you can remember when you die. The word of Cain Malone, the law of God slew you, absolutely You were so convicted, and you were slain on the law. It absolutely took away all your excuses and all of your own ideas of how you can please God in your own righteousness and your own goodness, and there had to be a place that you died. You've got to die first before you can live. And unless that gospel is preached, that you die to self, you die to self-will, you die to self-ego, you die to self-ambition, if that's not being preached, the gospel's not being preached. I had another young man one time sit in my office, his father was a minister, a preacher of the gospel, and this young man almost broke my heart, 17 years of age, and he said to me, if the God that is of heaven is the God of my father, I don't want to serve him. I see my father in the pulpit, but I tell you, he said, he's another man at home. You see, this man was a poor reputation among those of his own house, and he preached the gospel, became a hindrance to his own family coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. God forbid, God forbid that in my life or in your life, that we should become the very barrier that shuts our sons and daughters, our brothers and sisters out of the kingdom of God. If they make a choice to reject God, then let it be on their own heads, but let it be with a perfect knowledge of who God is. Let it be with a touch of heaven if they make that rejection. Imagine coming into your children, and yes, they might be in rebellion, and yes, they might have the world all over them, and yes, their attitudes might not be right, but imagine speaking to them as the voice of God. What drew you to Christ? Was it condemnation or the promise of new life? What was it that drew you? Was it the angry older brother or the thought of the father standing at the door waiting for you to come even in your ignorance so far away? What was it that drew you? I remember before I came to Christ, the thought that so provoked my heart was not even so much about Calvary, as wonderful as Calvary is, but the thought that gripped me was that I could have a new life. Amazing. I remember this man that shared with me, he says, if any man is in Christ, he becomes a new creation. God promises you not just eternity, but that you will be another man on this side of eternity. And I remember how that, I couldn't shake it. I couldn't, it wouldn't go away. It stuck with me day in and day out. I'd wake up thinking about it. I could be another man. I could be a new man. It sounded so impossible. I had died around my own altars. My bones were very many and very dry, but somebody came and spoke to me on God's behalf. Somebody who wasn't looking to gain something from me. Somebody who was not looking for me to open my wallet and give to them. Somebody who was honest came into my house with no objective, but to gain my soul for the kingdom of God. And thank God he did. We're called to make a difference. We're called to tear down strongholds. We're called to vanquish the plans of the devil. We're called to break the strongholds and the dominions of sin and death and hell and darkness and see God's creation. Those that he loves set free into the glorious liberty of Jesus Christ. This is the call that's on your life. It's not just for a select few. It's not just for the preachers or those that have had theological training or all these other wonderful things that prepare men and women for ministry. It's you and me. The moment the Holy Ghost came upon you, you had a calling of God to acclaim your inheritance and to see the power of the devil broken and others brought into the inheritance of God. This is the call of God on his church. This is the call of God on your life. How does God glorify his name? He does it through people. He does it through those who are not afraid of the devil, afraid of man, afraid of calamity, and people who are walking in faith, believing that God can do all things. That is the man. That is a woman who glorifies God on the face of the earth. Hallelujah. The Lord's going to bring his people into rest by bringing divine order into individual lives and into our homes. Folks, the devil has been unchallenged long enough. Folks, it's time that this chaos in the Christian family and individual Christians has to stop. Of course, for too long, he's allowed unchallenged to come and bring depression, fear, and anxiety. He has come to try to destroy marriages. He's come to try to take away your children and destroy the destroyer. But God is rising now, and he said, now you wake up, O Zion. You wake up, and you take authority now in Jesus' name. Take authority in the name of Jesus Christ over all the power of the enemy, because God is moving. Let not the moon rise on another night of compromise and sin. That's got to be a prayer for ever going to know the power of God in our midst. If you're ever going to know it individually as Christians, you've got to say, God, stop this area of fruitlessness in my life and don't let the moon rise on one more night of sin. God, give me the power to turn. Let not the sun go down on another day of strife and discord in my home. Mothers, you can pray this. Fathers, you can pray this. Husbands, wives, you can pray this. God Almighty, stop it. Let not the sun go down on it. Stop the discord. Stop the strife in my home. Let not the moon rise on another night of rebellion and confusion in my children. O God, move heaven and earth and bring my sons and daughters into their inheritance that is theirs in Christ. Move heaven and earth. Move it. O God, we have the power to do this. He said, pray and say to the mountains, be moved and it will move. Command it to be moved. Stand believing and you will have whatsoever you ask. Let not the sun go down on another powerless day in my life when I'm supposed to be a testimony of the grace of the living God. Let not the sun go down on another day of it. Let not the moon rise on another night of depression and regret. Jesus, Son of God, make a difference in my life today. Let not the sun go down on my drug-infested, violent, confused neighborhood without my life having made a difference to somebody. God, don't let the sun go down tomorrow before I have touched the soil somewhere, before you have reached out through me to some sick person and brought the loving touch of Almighty God into their life. Don't let the sun go down on self-consumption. O God, don't let the moon rise on another night of living for myself. Let not the moon rise without a testimony of praise to your faithfulness on my lips. Let not the sun go down without my heart saying, Jesus, you have been my supply. You've been my counselor, my friend, my defender, my tower. You're my king. My God. We have the choice to get up and move to what God is speaking or we draw back and we say, no, it can't be. I've made too many mistakes. My family is too far away from God or perhaps I have too little influence. Oh, Pastor, you don't understand how religious my family is. Oh, God does. He had a very religious family. He knows. He understands. But he'll give you the strength and the grace. But you have to get up. You have to get into the battle. He's not going to come and just do it for you. Your part is to believe him and get up and get into the battle. Say, God, no more. I'm not letting the sun go down on this thing any one more day. Today I'm coming to an altar and I'm believing God you're going to deal with it. You're going to strike a death blow to it. You're going to burn it in the fire of your presence. You're going to lift me out of depression. You're going to lift me out of despondency. You're going to lift me out of all my struggles. God, you're going to give me hope again. You're going to give me victory.
