(Revelation) Part 2 the Doom of the Scarlet Woman
Willie Mullan

William “Willie” Mullan (1911 - 1980). Northern Irish Baptist evangelist and pastor born in Newtownards, County Down, the youngest of 17 children. Orphaned after his father’s death in the Battle of the Somme, he faced poverty, leaving home at 16 to live as a tramp, struggling with alcoholism and crime. Converted in 1937 after hearing Revelation 6:17 in a field, he transformed his life, sharing the gospel with fellow tramps. By 1940, he began preaching, becoming the Baptist Union’s evangelist and pastoring Great Victoria Street and Bloomfield Baptist churches in Belfast. In 1953, he joined Lurgan Baptist Church, leading a Tuesday Bible class averaging 750 attendees for 27 years, the largest in the UK. Mullan authored Tramp After God (1978), detailing his redemption, and preached globally in Canada, Syria, Greece, and the Faeroe Islands, with thousands converted. Married with no children mentioned, he recorded 1,500 sermons, preserved for posterity. His fiery, compassionate preaching influenced evangelicalism, though later controversies arose.

Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the preacher discusses the concept of the seven-headed beast mentioned in the book of Revelation. He explains that five of the heads have already fallen, one is currently in power, and one is yet to come. The preacher emphasizes that this beast is not to be taken lightly, as it is empowered by God to fulfill His will. He also highlights the importance of believers separating themselves from this system, as it represents sin and corruption. The preacher suggests that the beast will eventually be assassinated or pretend to be, leading to a resurrection and further deception.
Sermon Transcription
Now we're at the book of the Revelation and we're at chapter seventeen, please. Revelation, chapter seventeen. Last week we had a great session on the first seven verses of this chapter. I pointed out from the first verse that one of the seven angels said to John, come hither, I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that picketh upon many waters. And I pointed out last Tuesday that the whole chapter is taken up with the judgment of this great whore. And I call her the scarlet woman because she's clothed in scarlet. And the whole subject is the doom of the scarlet woman. Last week we looked for a moment at her past achievement in verse two, with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication. And the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. She has inoculated both kings and paupers right down through the years. And we looked very much last week at her past enjoyment. Verse six says, and I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And I think that phrase needs to be underlined in your Bible. Drunken with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. You see, I went into many details last week and proved that this great whore, this woman clothed in scarlet, is this Roman church, this Roman system. Somebody rang me up, I think it was Wednesday, and they wouldn't give me the name. It was when I was at the class. And I know that you very wonderfully went through the scriptures and you brought many things up I didn't know about. But I think that this woman is Babylon, not Rome. Do you know? I said, well, if you were not in the class, you must have been sleeping part of the time. I said, did you remember the phrase, drunken with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus? When was Jesus born? He thought he knew it was 2,000 years back. I said, tell me this was Babylon around then. Has Babylon been here from then till now? Because this woman's drunken with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. Because these are martyrs, followers of Jesus. Ah, Babylon wasn't on the theme there. Literal Babylon was gone away with long, long ago and it will never be back again. But some of the pagan doctrines that literal Babylon established, the Roman church has taken over. And when you look through history, the only system on this planet that was ever drunken with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus was the Roman church and the Inquisition. Remember, she burns, ashes pitch, burns, burns. Of the best men and women that ever walked in Shulerus, she would like to get out of that. But she's not getting out of it. God is going to judge her for that. And this is the chapter where we see the judgment. We looked last week at her adornment and her enthronement and her testament. Now tonight we're going to look at her future annulment. And we're commencing at verse 7 this evening and going through to the end of the chapter. And I want you to look at the powerfulness of the beast, first of all. Now after the angel had told John all these things, in verse 7, John says, And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? John marveled at the whole revelation that was given. Then the angel came to come closer and said, I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carrieth her. I think you should get that into your mind's eye. You see, the woman is actually riding the beast. It's a powerful picture, isn't it? And so the angel is going to tell John the mystery of the woman and of the beast. Get the two of them together and please see that the beast is carrying her. Which has the seven heads and ten horns, it's that particular beast. You remember when we were in Revelation 13, there were two beasts. One of them had only two horns. Well then it's the other one, isn't it? It's the one with the seven heads and the ten horns. Once you get the hold of this, he's telling John, I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast. Get the two of them together. See that the woman's riding the beast, which has the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou thoughtst was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit and go into perdition. And they that dwear on the earth shall wonder, for whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. I think we need to take just a moment to get this properly into our minds. Let's go back to Revelation 13 just for a moment. Verse 1, And I stood upon the sound of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns. That's the one that we're thinking about just now. Verse 2, And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth was the mouth of a lion. And the dragon, that is the old devil, gave him his crown and his feet in great authority. And I saw one of his heads, as it were, and watch the phrase, as it were, wounded to death. And his deadly wound was healed, and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon, which gave power unto the beast, and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with whom? Let's get the hell in there. Because I know that there's a whole lot of teaching that this is the Roman Empire. Oh, well, it's a Henry's time. Because when we were in this chapter, when we went down to the end of the chapter, verse 18, Here is wisdom written that does understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. This is a man. This is the Antichrist. We've gone through this. And we've gone into Daniel. And we've found this king of fierce countenance. We have found this little horn. We have found this apostate Jew. It's a man. Let's get the hold of that. Oh, I know a powerful man as far as the unshaved world is concerned. Yes, a man who has been raised to power, who ascended by the power of the flesh. I think this is something we need to get into our minds. You know, the angel is explaining to John all about this unity between this man and this system, because we've proved that this was the Roman system. And John is explaining, or the angel is explaining to John the unity between them. The man is carrying the woman. She's riding the beast. She's in control. Now, one thing that is always astounded and seems to distract and disturb and upset all the expositors is this phrase, the bottomless pit, out of the bottomless pit. Now, I don't know why this should upset them, because, and we say this to this class, but this phrase, the bottomless pit, it's only seven times in the book of the Revelation, so it's not many times there. And it's only once in the Gospels. It's only nine times in the New Testament, once in Romans, once in the Gospels, seven times in the book of the Revelation. If ever we look at it, we say, let's go back to Revelation chapter nine, please. Revelation chapter nine. Verse one, And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven onto the earth, and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. Because the star is not one of these shining things that's in the sky at night. This is the messenger of Solomon. Solomon. Solomon angel. Him is the word that says, and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he, verse two, he opened the bottomless pit. And then we found that all these demons were let loose, and terrible things happened on the earth. And after describing them, it says in verse eleven, And they, that is the demons, had a king over them, which is the angels of the bottomless pit. So the word bottomless pit, three times in that chapter. And then when you go to chapter eleven, have a look at it there. And the two witnesses who would stand up for God in the desperate days of the great tribulation, they're standing before the beast. It says about these two, verse six, These have power to shut heaven up, that it rain not in the days of the prophecy. And the power of the waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues as often as they will. And when they shall have finished, that's a good word, their testimony, when they have done all that God wants them to do, the beast that offendeth out of the bottomless pit shall meet war against them. And you know, it's this phrase that we have in chapter seventeen tonight. Have another look at it now. Verse eight. The angel is talking to John, and he's trying to get this over to him, the mystery of this beast and this woman. Verse eight. The beast that thou thought was and is not, and shall offend out of the bottomless pit. Let's go back to the Gospels just for a moment. Luke's Gospel, chapter eight it is, if my memory is serving me right. Luke's Gospel, chapter eight. And let's read this story, verse twenty-six. And they, that is, our Lord Jesus and his disciples, arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. They sailed across Galilee. And when they went close to land, they met him out of the city a certain man which had devils a long time, and wore no clothes, absolutely naked, neither a boat in any house but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. It was the demon inside that was speaking, of course. He knew the name of the person that had come. He knew exactly who he was, thou son of God most high. He knew his power. I beseech thee, torment me not. I've asked thyself like to more. Why would the demon say, torment me not, if the Lord Jesus is an ordinary philist? No demon would ever be scared of me, you know. I tell you, the demons were afraid of the Lord. Torment me not. Because they knew exactly who he was. Verse 30, bypassing 29 for a moment, Jesus asked him, saying, What is my name? Talking to the demon now. And he said, Meet him. Because many demons, the word should be, were in front of him. And they, this whole company of demons, besought him, the Lord Jesus, that he would not command them to go out into the deep. See the phrase, the deep. Well, it's a Greek word. It's abathos. R-B-U-S-S-O-S It's abathos. And for nine times in the New Testament, this word abathos, it's translated seven times by the phrase, bottomless pit. Here it's just called the deep. Of course you could see that the deep and the bottomless pit are the same. You could see that. These demons knew that Christ had the power to cast them into the bottomless pit. Because it's the pit where fallen demons are hidden. Now, let's get the hold of this. This beast that we're talking about, this is a man. We have proved it's a man. Now, if this phrase sends us out of the bottomless pit that has upset all the expositors. You see some of the very best expositors in the world. Dr. Ironside was a friend of mine and helped me tremendously, but then I just don't need to follow man. He said this must be the Roman Empire coming back out of the bottomless pit. Now, who told the doctor that the Roman Empire was ever put in the bottomless pit? I wouldn't know, because I don't think it ever was. And I don't think that any man was ever in the bottomless pit either. I think that they just got this wrong. You see this beast that we're thinking about, this man, this Antichrist, you know he's going to come up from nothing. He's come to offend the bigger ruler of this planet of ours for a while. I think if you go back through history you'll find a little illustration of what I might be wanting to get over to you. Napoleon was the Corsican. He came from Corsica. He was the second lieutenant in the army in the Corsicans. And yet, although he had no real upbringing or had any university education or anything like that, this man by some power came out of nothing to be the emperor. Almost the emperor of the world, you know. Almost, I say. But you would know it better when I talk about Hitler. Ah, he was only a painter. In fact, I don't think he was a qualified painter. He was a paper hanger by right. That's what he was. And although he was a common ordinary five-eighth of paper hanger, yet by some unseen power he climbed out of this and he became almost the ruler of this world. Now there's another character coming along and I don't think that he's going to be anybody at all to begin with. I know he will be a Jew. And what is more, I know he will belong to the tribe of Dan. But I know that the power of the pit is going to help him to ascend. Ah, but he never again ascends. Ah, now you're beginning to see. By the power of Jesus coming out of the pit this would be the answer to the question. He hasn't got the brains for that. He was too big a fool to begin with. Now I think that you, if you get this thing right, you'll see that this man, this character, first of all the devil helps him. The devil gives him this power. Then the false prophet stands beside him. Then all the demons that were let loose out of the pit are giving him all the shaft he will ever need. I believe that he will ascend to this state of power by the power of the pit. In fact, one of the old translations have it, he ascended by the pit of the pit, but he's just nearer race. Ah, now we've got it. I don't know what they were sending around us. But the beast, you know, hasn't only power, he has craft. You see, I talked next about the craftiness of the beast. Now let's go back and get this proper now. We're at Revelation 17. John says wherefore didst thou, the angel said to John wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, because after all the subject in the chapter is the woman, but she's riding the beast up in verse 3. He said wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carrieth her. This beast that ascends by the egg of the pig. And then he said in verse 9 here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sitteth. Now that's very interesting isn't it, just how that's put. You know these seven heads and these seven mountains are really united here. Of course the seven mountains are the seven mountains on which the woman sitteth. You know when you look through the chapter you'll find in verse 1 that she's sitting upon many waters. That she's sitting upon the seven mountains. That she's sitting upon the beast. But we found out when we read verse 15 last week, and he said unto me the waters which thou dost where the whore sitteth are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. And we can see her absolutely ruling over all, pitting and ruling. You notice, this is, this is Rome isn't it. Why all and sundry boast about Rome being on the seven hills or the seven mountains. That's perfectly true. You know what I see, I see that this man is going to rise out of nothing by the power of the devil and demons and the false prophets. And he's going to make the chief and capital city of the European economic community to be Rome instead of Brussels. Oh I know it's Brussels now and change it in a day or two. And he's going to be crafty enough to know that as we have one people, one economic community, we don't only need economic unity, we will need political unity, we will need it for the us to come to us. So he looks round and he's a crafty character and he takes the Roman church. And for a moment or two he's going to let the Roman church have full control riding the beast. Remember he doesn't mean to let her have total and universal control forever. He's only taking the men before as we say. Let's get the hold of that. He's prepared to let her ride, he's prepared to carry her just for a wee while. My dear friends, you know we talk about unity, we're going to get together. The Methodists are now talking about going to Rome. Of course they try to block the people. We're not going for unity, we're just going for talk. What are they going for talk for? I wonder how you put up with this. Don't let any man be can be business about this. This is the most despicable thing on the face of the earth. I'll tell you in a moment as to what God has to say about it. My, we get very sympathetic at times. It's a stupid thing that has done. I don't know why we're so manly can be about it. I have no time to worship Mary. And I certainly have less time for the pagan mass. Where a man pretends to create Christ every Sunday morning and then put him to death. Don't you think I have any time for that? But I have none. It's the system I'm talking about. I hope you're not mixing the system and Roman Catholicism. Because I love the Roman Catholics, it's a pity of them. What would I have done had I been born there? It's the crushed system I'm against. And I most certainly am, and God is with me. I get it. And I make no blows about it. But the beast is crafty enough to know this. That if he can get the woman in on his side, then he'll have the whole ecumenical movement with him. And I just believe not so often that you're in a church that's paying attention to the ecumenical movement. Remember, you're paying for unity with God. That's what you're heading for anyway. Why, I do be amazed at some of the so-called evangelicals. And they dig their money for this thing. Ah, you're paying Rome to take over. Yes, you know, we're going to learn in the next chapter, it's time my people were out of this. Come out of her, my people, is what's in verse 4 of the next chapter 18. I heard another voice saying from heaven, come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins. But we'll get to that when we come to that. You see, what I'm underlining now is the powerfulness of the beast. And how he got his power from heaven. Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins. But we'll get to that when we come to that. You see, what I'm underlining now is the powerfulness of the beast. And how he got his power, and the craftiness. He's going to take this system, and he's going to make this Rome. The chief city is Brussels now, it'll be Rome then. Now here's a difficult portion. The angel said to John in verse 10, And there are seven kings. Five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come. And when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was and is not, even he is the ape. And he's the seventh and goes into perdition. This is what he's trying to get over to John. You know, I picked up a book, a very blurry one. And there's a portion in it by Livy, the Roman historian. Now we have men here from Queens who are historians, or who are going to be historians, bless you. Well, I'm sure you know more about Livy than I do. But he is the Roman historian. Now here's what he says. Livy shows us that Rome had passed through five very distinct forms of government trial to John's death. Well, that is real information for me. Here's what it says here. And there are seven kings, five are fallen. And Rome had passed through five very distinct forms of government trial to John's death. I think that everybody in the class knows this. That when the last full stop of the Old Testament at Malachi was placed there, before the first word of Matthew's gospel took place, there are 400 years. Some of the scholars call them 400 silent years. Now, when Malachi finished the Old Testament, it was Medo-Persia that ruled the world. That great Gentile world empire of Medo-Persia. You will find that somewhere in the midst of the 400 silent years, that Alexander the Great came with great power and overthrew Medo-Persia, and a great Grecian empire came into being. But you mark this well, that when your New Testament opens, when Jesus was about to be born, before he was born, when Mary was living up in Nazareth, Caesar Augustus sent out a decree that all the world should be dead. He was the boss now. But Medo-Persia finished in Matthew, in Malachi. And Greece took over somewhere in the silent years between the New Testaments, the two Testaments. Then you find the Roman power taking over just before, just before the Gospels began. And from that moment, right through to John's day, there were horrors. Listen carefully to what he says. This is really amazing. He says five very distinct forms of government had passed prior to John's day. The sixth form, which was in existence in John's time, was the imperial rule. That's the form of government that was there. Europe was really dead. It was imperial rule. Now watch your Bible. Here's what the angels said to John. And there are seven kings, five are fallen. Here are these five different governments of God, and one is, yes, the one that was there then when John was put in prison, in fact it was Nero that did it, was imperial rule. Now he's telling John this. And the other is not yet come. Wasn't there then. And when he comes, a future, isn't it? He must continue a short space, and it's a very short space, it's only 42 months. And the beast that was, and is not. You see, when we were back in chapter 13, I told you to mark the words. You know, one of the dead as it were, only as it were was wounded to death. You see, I believe when he takes over, you know, he's going to be assassinated, or he's going to pretend that he's being assassinated. I believe one evening the whole world will be watching the TV, and this antichrist will be talking about, and someone will assassinate him, and he'll die. As it were. Only as it were. And then the beast that was, and is not, when he rises again he will be a pretender of the resurrection. Now watch your difficult text now. Here's what the angel is saying. There are seven, going to be seven in this great empire. Five are fallen, five are past, John. And one is, Nero, the imperial Rome is at this moment, John. And the other is yet to come, and when he comes he must continue a short space, space, and the beast that was, and is not, he pretends. Even he is the ant, is of the seven. You see, it's five for John, one is, one to come, that's the seven. If he dies he can come back again. This is not business. And he will certainly go into perdition. That's what John was trying to tell. That's what the angel was trying to tell John. Listen John, I want to show you why this unity is here. I want to show you that this beast has the power of the pit behind him. That's why he attends. I want to show you that when he gets full power, this will be this imperialistic rule again. I know that's why the scholars say the revived Roman Empire. Don't ever say it came out of the pit for it's not there. Now he gets down to the matter in hand. Verse 12. We want to see these kings. And the ten horns which thou dost are ten kings. There's no trouble about that. Well we have nine toes now in the European economic community. And Norway is having second thoughts they're going to have another go. Well they'll get ten from somewhere before long. And the ten kings will be there. Here's what it says, verse 12. The ten kings which thou dost, the ten horns which thou dost are ten kings. Which have received no kingdom as yet. But receive power of kings one hour with the beast. You see Mr Heath has been pushing for this economic community. And we're almost there. And when they get this ten settled, out of the midst will come a president. And I assure you that he'll be the antichrist. And we shake this thing to the ground. And it will look like a revived Roman Empire. And we are not very far away from it. And I've been preaching this twenty years ago. My when I came here twenty years ago. We started to talk about these things. Mr Russell is a witness of this. Some of them thought the young pastor was daft you know. I used to teach these things. My the day that Hitler marched into Paris. I was giving a lecture of a great place away. Then counted down and I said it's impossible for Hitler to win this war. Impossible. My it looked a daft thing to say. It almost looked as if everything was over. You don't need to cross a small stretch of water and it was all gone. And this book had other ideas. He couldn't have won the war no matter what happened. And Russia can't win the world war. Impossible. Look Mr Heath is getting it all set and this fellow will come. And these ten kings will reign with this beast for one hour. Now here's what it says about the kings verse thirteen. These have one mind and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. Mind you they're going to stand by him. You can see the unitedness of the kings. Here's a verse that's just placed in there to let us see what they would do. These kings shall meet war with the lambs. You'd never think that Europe will be on the side of the gospel for little much. And if you think that Mr Heath has laid the foundation for the blessings of the gospel you can think again. Because at the end of the forty-two months when this beast has had the time that God allows him the Lord will come back to take this world over. And these kings that are there these ten kings will have to crush them. Because they'll make war with the lamb. My they'll go to war with the Lord Jesus. A very foolish thing to do. Because he'll crush them like powder. What's this little phrase? These shall meet war with the lamb and the lamb shall overcome them. There's never any doubt about that. For he is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He's a lovely little phrase. And they that are with them are cold and frozen and faithful. You know I'm teaching a class and the boys in the class know this. Now let me talk to you for a minute. Do you remember I was telling you last Saturday or whatever day we were there at the school. I was telling you that almost every phrase in this book it has got something fundamental in it. It's got something doctrinal in it. It's got something dispensational in it. It's got something evangelical in it. It's got something practical in it. Now you wouldn't go to Revelation 17 to find those would you when you'll find it here. What's the three words? They that are with them are cold. Oh there's something evangelical there surely. You know I was called out of darkness into marvelous light. I live your good and mine is with the lamb at any time you'll need to be called you know. You're not made a follower of the lamb by water being sprinkled on you you know. You need to be called and you need to respond to be called. That's evangelical. But you know they're not only cold. You get the second word they're chosen. Oh that's fundamental. My I believe in sovereign election. I'm one of the elect. I was chosen before the foundation of the world. That's fundamental to me. See this one. Not only called and chosen. See the word faithful. See that's practical. Because you know you need to be evangelical and fundamental and then practical. You boys will find out there's more in this book than you think but you'll need to put your mind to it. But we'll not go into that war too much this evening because we'll meet it again when we come to chapter 19. And he says unto me, verse 15, The waters which thou tost where the whore sitteth are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and towns. Now watch this verse very carefully. And the ten horns which are the ten kings which thou tost upon the beach, these shall hit the whore. You know all the earth is going to turn to hit this pagan Christian. Make no mistakes about that. That'll not please people when it comes. Here's our other book on Sunday. Yes let's get a hold of this. The ten horns which thou tost upon the beach shall hit the whore, and shall eat her dead foot and flesh, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. I tell you God's determining this. Watch this, watch 17. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will. Mind you this is not something that God's just going to allow. We know all about God's promises, will you know, and those things. This is something that God's going to direct. God is going to direct the judgment of this world. And remember what Jesus said, With what measure you meet, it shall be measured to you again. And they burned a lot, didn't they? I will be a burning in the day to come. I tell you it'll be me to do it again. This Roman system and every carnal afflictions of the world. We should pray for the people you know, and work for them too. This system God is against. God will put it into the hearts of all these kings in the common market. Of course you know this will just be exactly what the beast wants. He'll be in on this. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will and to agree and give their kingdom on to the beast. Because he has no notion of letting her rule the earth forever. He wants the world to worship him. It will be a worse system than the one we lost. My, the beast's system will be the devil's system. Friends, can you see this this evening? You know we're closing the meeting and we'll be away for a month. And who can tell what will happen in that month? You know the Lord Jesus is coming. Coming soon. One of these days, Jesus will come and the church will rise to meet him. And then this whole European economic community will get a blaze. And out of it will arrive this president who will be this beast. Who will be so cunning that he will employ this system. And my dear friends, the whole community will be damned. You pray for your children. You think about them. Thank you if the Lord comes tonight and you at last are left behind. I assure you tonight that the man of God shall be damned. We need to pray. My, we need to let this world know tonight that we are the called and the chosen and the faithful. The little girl in the meeting, she's just a schoolgirl. She's going away on a holiday. She's going away across to Europe. I looked in the car the other night and said, now you watch yourself now when you go. And her mother said, so we need to let everybody know who she is and whom she serves. That's a good old mother talk. And if you always let everybody know who you are and whom you serve, you'll have no problems. May the Lord bless you on your holidays. Thank you so much for everything. I'm going to sing an old hymn tonight that I love to sing. Nine hundred and forty-nine. When all my labors and trials are o'er, And I am pleased from that beautiful shore just to be near, The dear Lord I adore will through the ages be glory for me. Nine hundred and forty-nine. Now there's plenty of books and they'll be at all the doors and you needn't hurry. I assure you there'll be plenty. Nine forty-nine it is. Nine forty-nine. When all my labors and trials are o'er, And I am pleased from that beautiful shore Just to be near, the dear Lord I adore will through the ages be glory for me. For ever His grace I shall know on this day. Glory for me. Glory for me. For ever His grace I shall know on this day. Singing all day. Now you take a big breath, right away down in, fill your lungs as full as you can, and then you open your mouth as wide as you can, you see, and really let it go, really sing. Look what we're singing, friends will be there I have loved long ago, joy like a river of love, and my lungs will flow, yet just a smile, for my pleasure I know, will through the ages be glory for me, now if you really mean it, then sing it, let's really sing it, right now. Friends will be there I have loved long ago, joy like a river of love, and my lungs will flow, yet just a smile, for my pleasure I know, will through the ages be glory for me, sing it, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. Dear Lord, part us in thy fear, and with thy blessing, take us to our homes in safety, and if in thy grace we're here when the time comes to resume the class, grant us that we shall all be present, we give thee thanks for all thy blessings, and for all thy mercies, down through these many years, take our humble thanks, dear Lord, and be thou glorified. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
