What is it going to be like when the storm comes? The Bible says that gospel, and I'm going to tell you something, a diluted gospel is no gospel at all. That's not the gospel. Bible calls that, the prophet calls it whitewash. He calls it untempered mortar. It means, you know where they build a wall? The bricks, they put concrete mixed with sand, but he said that's all painted sand. And he said a storm is coming. And God said, I'm going to blow against those walls. And folks, those walls may look big and they may look beautiful, but the Bible said they're not going to stand when you face Armageddon, when you're facing World War III, when the nations are on fire, when we have missiles being threatened over our heads, and we've got mad dictators with nuclear weapons, when we're threatened with a dirty bomb, when there's terror all over the world, people are going to say, wait a minute, I'm empty, I don't know what's coming, I don't know what's happening. This is the king of kings, and he's the judge of judges, and it's the tribunal of tribunals, and there's no court of appeal after it. The verdict is final. He's on the throne of justice. Shall not the judge of all the earth do right? Oh, there's going to be some weeping and waving and gnashing of teeth. God's anger is utterly righteous, God's wrath is utterly righteous, and the point comes in time when God says that is it, and as Steve always says, the gavel falls. Judgment. We don't see judgment falling quickly, we think it's just not going to happen. Judgment doesn't seem real to us. All the more reason should we shake and tremble, because the longer judgment is delayed, the more intense it will be when it comes. The scripture says they're willingly ignorant of the example of Sodom and Gomorrah, and it's not like any other time, because any other time didn't have these nuclear missiles, they didn't have these terrorists threatening the whole world, they didn't have missiles that could travel 2,000, 3,000 miles and bring destruction, they didn't have it, it's a different day. This is not just God sending brimstone, this is a whole world of madness now. But when we see him here, he's not on the throne of mercy, he's on the throne of justice. That tender Christ who went about doing good, and he kissed little babies and blessed people, now, ah, there's nothing more beautiful than a little lamb, there's nothing more terrible than the wrath of the lamb, and one day God's mercy is going to be cut off, mercy is gone forever. You just go through the book of Revelation and look at the subject of the wrath of God, you'll see wrath mentioned over and over and over, and it comes out, the judgments come right out of the holy place from the throne of God in heaven. But it's a shocking thing, we have earthquakes, you know, January 17th of 94, terrible earthquake in Los Angeles, January 17th of 95, far more fierce earthquake in Kobe, Japan, do we wake up same day? Terrible floods and natural disasters, the likes of which we've never seen in America, and people still don't know if it's judgment or not? In the midst of the fire, when all of these vials of wrath are being outpoured on the earth, two things are going to happen, the scripture says. It says those that have been hardened are going to blaspheme God, and when you go to the book of Revelation, it says when under judgment, when men are being scorched with heat, the Bible said they will blaspheme God, and they will not repent of their sins. And there are going to be multitudes hardened to what you see, their hearts are going to fail them for fear, and rather than turning to the Lord, they're going to turn to their sins and go wild, and they're going to despise God, and they're going to blaspheme God. It says in the ninth chapter, verse six, in those days shall men seek death and shall not find it. They shall desire to die and death shall flee from them. Sixth chapter of Revelation, it says that people call on the rocks, they call on the mountains, fall on us, fall on us. We can't see, what does it say? Because of the wrath of the Lamb, hide us from the wrath of the Lamb. We think of the Lamb, meek and mild, here when His wrath is flared up, Him who sits on the throne, and the Lamb. And now when it's hopeless, I will judge. Yes, fire is coming, the storm is coming, but in the middle of that storm, it's going to be so obvious that God is behind it. No man can do it. People will look around and say, this is divine, this is supernatural. Man couldn't do this, and men will be trembling. God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing. Shall not the judge of all the earth do right? Jesus wept over Jerusalem as He was on His way to be crucified, and women were weeping for Him. He said, daughters of Jerusalem, don't weep for me, but weep for yourselves. Because days are coming when you'll say, blessed are those who didn't bear, blessed are the blessed that never nursed. And people will say that the rocks and mountains fall on us. Remember our God is a consuming fire. Sure, God is love. But God also is a consuming fire. You read Isaiah 29.6, one verse among many, where it's God who's in the midst of these calamities. You say, man, doesn't that mean innocent people die? That happens because of human sin. That when judgment falls, everybody suffers. The word of God says there's going to be a judgment of living nations too. Most of us in America read these things in a book, and it's not really real to us because we can go home and flip on the VCR. One of the most famous preachers in the country called me at nearly midnight and said, you know what, I've come to this conclusion. God Almighty's already taken His hands off America. For the simple reason we've had so much light and rejected it. God, now we've got this one window of opportunity. It could be America's last hope. If Jesus gives us more time, this looks like America's very last hope. Friends, men and women of God, preachers, teachers, pastors, evangelists, missionaries, whatever your calling and anointing and gifting is, preach the whole counsel of God. Go back to the Lord, get His burden, warn people to free from the wrath to come, preach about a holy God to the righteous, that we live sober and godly lives, because we'll give account one day, and let us see a true revival come that will dwarf all the previous awakenings in our history. This is when the truth and the gospel has to be heard and preached in its absolute fullness.
