The email address is rush.eibnet.com. All right, one more sound bite and then we'll go to your phones. To the phones and your phone calls. This is audio soundbite 24. Cookie went and found it. This is the CNN soundbite with Zell Miller. And Judy Woodruff says, Senator Miller, the Democrats are pointing out... I wonder how she knew. The Democrats are pointing out... Sorry, be good, Rush. The Democrats are pointing out that John Kerry voted for 16 of 19 defense budgets. It came through Congress while he was in the Senate. And many of these votes that you cited, Dick Cheney also voted against. That were for specific weapon systems. What I was talking about was a period of 19 years in the Senate. I've been in the Senate for four years. It's quite a few years different, so I have got documentation on every single one of those votes that I've talked about here today. I've got more documentation here than the Library of Congress and the New York Public Library put together on that. He's got more documentation. He's got more documentation here than the Library of Congress and the New York Public Library put together on that. But that is their game plan. Hey, Cheney voted against some of these things, too. Note how they choose to defend their guy. At any rate, to the phones. We'll start in Roanoke, Virginia. This is Rachel. Hello, I'm glad you waited. Welcome to the program. Hi, Rush. Thanks for taking my call. I've listened to you for about 10 years. Thank you. This girl loves Zell's set, shall we say. And I just wanted to say that one thing that really made me angry last night was after Zell's speech. NBC cut to an interview with John McCain. And McCain was the first that said, I don't think Zell should question the Democrats' patriotism. And that really made me mad. And I just feel like we should tell the DNC, I'll trade you with John McCain for Zell Miller. You know, I'm glad you called and brought this up. Because I've had so many people comment on this to me that saw it. I've got a lot of email from people, a reaction very similar to yours. And it is kind of good that Zell Miller didn't do that. He didn't challenge their patriotism. And I remember McCain never came to the aid of Bush when Bush was being challenged AWOL and this sort of stuff. It is disquieting. Let me put it this way. I think that your sentiment and a lot of the others is indicative that McCain's not as popular in the Republican Party as he or others might think that he is. Well, I wouldn't vote for him. Particularly with Republican voters. I mean, he's got his constituents, there's no question about it. You've got to understand what he's doing. He's running for president and he's running for media. But isn't he just doing the same thing that John Kerry does in flip-flopping? I mean, you don't know where he stands. And I don't feel that he stands often enough with the Republican Party platform. And I, as a lifelong Republican, and a woman, and a teacher, would not vote for him because he doesn't have the set, shall we say, that Zell Miller does. Are you talking about brass? Yeah, that's another way of saying it. And last night I finally understood why my grandfather voted for Democrats. Because if that's the way they used to be, that would make sense. And I just applaud what he did last night and I want you to be safe this weekend because America needs you. Well, thank you. So stay out of the wind. What's that? I said stay out of the wind. Stay out of the wind. Well, a lot of people accuse me of creating it. That's very nice, I appreciate it. I'll be safe, though. McCain is an interesting phenomenon. I think, to a large extent, Senator McCain is as much a media creation as he is a genuine, substantive leader of the Republican Party. I know everybody wants his support, but I think he's a ticket to getting media support. A ticket to getting media sympathy, or at least not be attacked by them. But I just want to tell you, a lot of people have emailed me that they resented that as well. And in fact, what was it? Who came out after Zell last night to introduce... Oh, Lynne Cheney was out there and NBC did not cover that in order to talk to McCain. And I got some emails that people were upset about that. Let me give you a little news here. This is from the Prowler at the American Spectator online. I'll just read what it says here. It's not October, but the Kerry campaign is playing perhaps its final card for a surprise with the help of Dan Rather in 60 Minutes. On Wednesday, stories began breaking that Ben Barnes, the former Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, the former Lieutenant Governor there, was breaking his off-and-on silence and finally telling how he pulled strings to get a then-young George W. Bush into the Texas National Guard. Ben Barnes has consistently told reporters for years that no Bush family member ever directly contacted him for assistance in getting the young Bush into the Guard, but that Sidney Adger, a Houston businessman and friend of the Bush family, made the request. Adger's now deceased. At the time, George H. W. Bush was a U.S. Congressman. Barnes said that he did for Bush what he had done for the sons of other well-connected Texas families. Today, Barnes is a major fundraiser for the Kerry campaign. And according to a CBS News employee who has seen raw interview footage, CBS will attempt to put together a story that creates the impression the Bush family attempted to appeal to Barnes directly that Barnes, for years, suffered from undue pressure. Barnes goes into a lot of detail, says the CBS source. He'll make similar charges to those he's made in the last few weeks. But the story is going to make it appear that Barnes was personally lobbied by the Bush family, and that the Bush family, for decades, has put pressure on Barnes to keep quiet and to sing from the same songbook. Now, if this is the case, then Ben Barnes has some explaining to do, because he has, for years, discussed his role in the National Guard controversy, at one point laying out in a formal court deposition that it was Bush's family friends who made the request. At other times, with reporters, he has consistently claimed that no Bush family member contacted him for assistance in recommending Bush for Guard duty. He has had opportunity after opportunity to reverse his story. He's never done so, says a longtime Bush associate. Every time his story has been dredged up, Barnes has been forthright that he did what he did, but not at the direct behest of the Bush family. So, 60 minutes, Dan Rather going to carry some more water for John Kerry on Wednesday night. And there's a story here, Kerry gets a lukewarm reception at the American Legion, we already told you about that. Dick Morris, interesting piece in the New York Post today, says, Last night, Dick Cheney said that America sees two John Kerries, and that Kerry's liveliest disagreement is with himself. But that's not Kerry's biggest problem. His real conundrum is that his voters disagree with one another on almost every major foreign policy and terrorism issue. So the matter, or no matter what Kerry says, he will alienate a goodly portion of his voters. This handicap is likely to loom larger and larger as the election moves into its debating phase, but for now, the Republicans are doing a good job of throwing curveballs that force Kerry to choose between his voting blocs, antagonizing some and invigorating others, bleeding support the whole way. So, what all this doing is forcing Kerry to take a position. And I guess the most recent example of this was Kerry saying, Well, even if I would have known that there were no weapons of mass destruction, I would have still voted for the resolution. He's going to be paying for that. Oh, Mike, grab the new Gilligan's Island Kerry theme. I've only played that once. People think it's one of the best parody themes they've ever heard. I might quibble with them about that, but it is good. And have you found it yet, Mike? Not yet? Well, they had it hanging around loose yesterday. It should have been right in French. No, it ought to have been right... When computerized, it ought to be easier. Just call it up on computer. Search Kerry Gilligan. It ought to be there. You're listening to Broadcast Excellence on the EIV network. And I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll take a phone call here while you hunt for the most recent Kerry parody. It's Mike in Atlanta. I'm glad you waited, sir. Welcome to the program. Thank you, Rush. I'll be brief. I've been listening to AM radio since 68 here in Atlanta. I was listening the first day you broadcast in this city. My heart swelled with pride when I heard someone saying those things that I have always believed. I haven't felt like that since last night when Zell Miller said what he said on the floor of the convention. But what I want to talk about is Chris Matthews. Okay, Chris Matthews is rude. He badgers people. He refuses to allow anyone to respond to his badgering. He acts like he's a prosecuting attorney, not a reporter. Now, people have missed what got Zell upset. He asked Zell Miller about the spitball comment, Do you believe it? All right, now he asked Zell Miller, was he lying? Okay, that is the question. Are you lying about what you said? All right, now down here, those are fighting words. Zell was not teasing when he called him out for a duel. All right, now Larry Gatlin later in the evening volunteered to be Zell's second. All right, well, he's in line behind me. Okay, hey, Chris, I'm your huckleberry man. You want to find out what it's all about? Come on down to Georgia, man. That is a Democrat. Okay, everybody's talking about the set that Zell has. He's a Democrat in Georgia. Come down and talk to us Republicans, bud. All right, now, you need to learn, Chris, that this is not an 11th grade debate. We're not getting an A or going for points. This is life or death that he's playing with here. And Bush said it best for me, you're either with us or you're against us. I've never been elected, and I won't run for anything, so I will say this. Democrats are dangerous, traitorous fools. Stalin called them useful idiots, and that is indeed where the Democratic Party stands today. Well, that's pretty straightforward there, Mike. We don't beat around. All right, so Hubert Humphrey this week was a socialist, and all the Democrats are traitorous. Useful idiots. Stalin had it in his plan. They are useful idiots because they don't believe in the greatness of the United States. Our mission is to save the world. We do not take countries over. We liberate people. Democrats don't understand it. They are bashful about it. They refuse to lead. They're not bashful about it. They feel guilty about our power. They think it's unfair that a nation should be this powerful. It's just not right because we have to steal so many of the world's resources and selfishly use them in order to have this power. Meanwhile, when the world has an AIDS crisis, where do they go? In the meantime, I appreciate the call, Mike. We've got passions aroused out there. All right, have we found the John Kerry pair? Well, it's about time. Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, the tale of a Christmas trip. John Kerry took to Cambodia aboard his tiny ship. It was seared into his memory. Of that you can be sure. Just like when the leader of this fearless crew earned three Purple Hearts. Earned three Purple Hearts. We've got to take a quick timeout. One more CNN soundbite. When we come back, stay with us. Rush 24-7 and the Limbaugh Letter. Your best resource for combating the partisan media. Liberals and Bush haters. Available at RushLimbaugh.com. What do you think of President Bush saying the war on terror can't be won, and then all of a sudden calls Rush Limbaugh to tell us, hey, that's not what he really meant to say. I think the president, if he focuses on Al-Qaeda and the specific enemies of the United States, we can prosecute and win this war. WPRO. Ester-C is the only vitamin C with metabolites. It's already in a form your body can use. So make the choice that I make. Take Ester-C. E-S-T-E-R-dash-C. Are you getting advanced protection from your vitamin C? Look for Ester-C and now new Ester-E, where fine vitamins are sold. Get up and get going with the WPRO Morning News. Weekday mornings starting at 5. Because when you need to know, WPRO. WPRO. I'm sure you've seen these protesters. There have been some security breaches, by the way. These people have gotten in the convention. They've gotten close to Cheney, disrupted. Well, they didn't disrupt Cheney's speech last night, but they caused a little disturbance on the floor. And they got hustled away. But, you know, these people are AIDS protesters. And this is why those of you on the left, I must tell you, I really don't understand you. I really, really don't understand you. You've got AIDS protesters all over New York, and they've gotten away at the convention. And I've got a story here by Michael Weisenstein of the Associated Press. Dozens of demonstrators, waving banners, carrying colorful balloons, called on President Bush to do more in the fight against AIDS during a quick and choreographed protest amid Thursday morning commuters at Grand Central. Demonstrators wore black T-shirts, some emblazoned with the words, If Bush had AIDS, what would he do? Fight AIDS, not war, as police took them away. This story contains not one mention of Bush's $15 billion pledge to fight African AIDS, no mention of the budget to fight AIDS in this country, no mention of the fact that this country spends more on AIDS here and around the world than all the other nations of the world combined. All it does is report these idiots with their claims. Now, this is why I've always said, I don't care whether it's an AIDS protester, or it's an anti-war protester, or an animal rights protester, they're all the same. They're all the same bunch of people, and they go from issue to issue to issue, and they use each issue to organize anarchists, all these people, you know, the militant environmentalist wackos. They're just a bunch of leftists, deranged kids, in a lot of ways, who've got too much time in their hands. This is about the most senseless protest I've ever seen, protesting against AIDS when more has been offered and more is being done. In the meantime, while all this is going on, guess who's inside the place? Bono is all over the place, singing the praises of people like Rick Santorum. Bono, of U2, who went with Paul O'Neill on that AIDS tour, or African tour, to highlight the problem in the first place, and Bush responded to it. Bono is out there singing the praises of conservatives on what they've done, and even Jesse Helms, he's singing the praises of Jesse Helms when it comes to AIDS. Meanwhile, you've got this loose-knit, rag-tag bunch of renegades out there. They're just absolute idiots. They ought to be either put in perspective or ignored for what they're doing. Let's see. Yeah, okay, go to Cut 25. There's Wolf Blitzer. He says to Zell Miller, you know, I'm not going to get this in. I am not. It's a 46-second bite, and Wolf's question here is going to take me 15 minutes or so. I have to save this for the next hour. I just got a little update here from a friend of mine, a meteorologist, closely studying Hurricane Francis. He said, I got some good news to report to you. There is the pressures going up in the eye of the hurricane, the barometric pressure, which signifies that it is weakening. Now, it's a Category 4. It's got a lot of weakening to do, but it is in the process of weakening. Now, what are you laughing at now? I think you guys, you're so filled with panic, you've gotten giddy, you're laughing at everything. The slightest bit of good news, they want to go and throw a party, I guess. At any rate, the hurricane, the barometric pressure is rising. It's weakening a bit. A meteorologist friend says he hopes the trend continues. He just doesn't know if it will. But the track still takes the hurricane north of PBI. What we're, Palm Beach, what we're relying on here is that the impact point on every tracking map is always wrong. Maybe only wrong by 10 or 20 miles, but it's always wrong. The models are always wrong. You just have to figure out where they're wrong. So, that's what people are doing down here. It's not that they want some of you other people to get hit. It really isn't. Wolf said, you know, when the Secretary and the Vice President Cheney was Secretary of Defense, he proposed cutting back the B-2 bomber and the F-14 Tomcat as well. I covered him at the Pentagon during those years when he was raising serious concerns about those two weapon systems. And Zell says, the record is the record. And Greenfield, Jeff Greenfield said, why did you say in 2001 that John Kerry strengthened the military? You said that three years ago. Because that was the biographical sketch that they gave this young senator, not young senator, but new senator that had come up there. And all I knew was that this man had won the Purple Heart three times and had won the Silver Star. Look, I went back and researched the record. And I looked at these. And when I was putting that speech together... ...symbol in GOP convention stage. The height of paranoia has been reached now. The crack-up is complete now. Ladies and gentlemen, conventions are as much about symbolism as speeches. But a minister at a liberal Manhattan church charged Tuesday, the Republicans have gone too far by placing crosses on the national convention stage. Republican officials say his eyes are playing tricks on him. But the Reverend James Forbes Jr. said images of Christian crosses are clear on the convention lectern and on the structure right next to it. I believe it's an image of two crosses, Forbes said. It's an unusual and inappropriate use of religious symbols in a political campaign. David Campbell, professor at the University of Notre Dame, specializing in politics and religion, didn't notice the cross imagery until it was pointed out to him. He watched the convention last night with an eye to how Republicans use religious imagery. And it wasn't apparent then, he said. But looking at it now, yeah. It has cross-like properties. I'm not sure I think that's a cross or not. This is a news story. I know who started this. I'm not going to mention her name by giving her any credit, but some wacko little, little, little just running around there thinking that there's this... The last time I heard something like this was 1985. And I was in Sacramento, California. And a minister in Ohio claimed that there were satanic messages in the Mr. Ed theme song when you play the song backwards. Something about a horse is a horse, of course, of course, sounds like s-s-s-s-satan if you play it backwards. So I said, hmm. Well, now, if the Ohio minister can find satanic messages in the Mr. Ed theme, I wonder if there are satanic messages in anything else. So we started playing music backwards, and lo and behold, we found a satanic message in Slim Whitman's Una Paloma Blanca, a song of peace. One white dove, a white dove. And we made a parody out of it. I don't have time to repeat it. You've all heard it by now. But, um, Professor says he missed the crosses, but now kind of sees them. They actually do a story. They actually get us subliminal Christian messages from the Republican podium. Is this not a party that is living and operating in total fear? If it isn't, I don't know what it is. Quick time out, my friends. We will be back and resume shortly. Say what needs to be said. Rush on the EIB Network. Rush Limbaugh on News Radio 630 WPRO. This is, you know, hometown, home state, home everything. Any New Yorker's got to feel really good about what's been going on here this week. I feel terrific about it. I think that New York has been very supportive of this convention, notwithstanding what some of the media portrayals have been. I was at the Alabama Republican delegation earlier today and they said they had taken up a collection to donate to the New York City Police Department because they were so impressed with the quality of service. I can't tell you. You know, being born in Flushing and a tri-state area kid, maybe my bias is already in place, but there has not been one police officer around here that has done anything other than smear it. And I'm hearing from out of town people chronically about what kind of wonderful packaging the New York PD has done in terms of representing this city. They have been ambassadors to the last officer. And I'm talking about, I've talked to probably 40 of them. Yeah, it's an unbelievable job. In trying circumstances with people that came here to cause trouble to some extent, people that are sort of professional protesters trying to relive Woodstock and Mississippi and the 1960s. And these guys have been very professional. Men and women have been professional, restrained, have taken care of things in a firm but very dignified way. They've helped make the city shine. And I'll tell you something. Last night, I took the subway out of here. I skipped the parties. Couldn't do it anymore. Had to take my hotel back up, you know, uptown. I get into the subway here at 34th Street and there's four of New York's finest sitting there sweating bullets. And I asked them, you know, how long have you guys been here? They said, since noon. So now it's midnight. It was so hot down there. And I said, can I get you guys a water? No, thank you, sir. But they're all young guys. And it gives you renewed faith in law enforcement. They've just done a wonderful job. A lot of you folks who gave the national news about the protests here and one cop hurt and did they rough up, in general they have been ambassadors that are exemplary. Absolutely. And we haven't spent any time talking about it, so I'm glad you raised it. Yeah, absolutely. I just think the people who support the infrastructure of New York City, the people, particularly who wear the uniform here and have been protecting the folks, have done an absolutely outstanding job to the point where, again, I've talked to a couple people who were from out of town, frankly down south, and they've said, you know, we didn't have the greatest image of New York City until this week. And the group that turned it around for us was the police department. They've been polite, they've been firm, they've made us feel secure and comfortable. Just a great teamwork. I gotta tell you, growing up around here and sitting in a blue chief's suit when they were green. I've been kind of nervous about this event ever since it was on my schedule. You know, Boston, I'll tell you, it was a big difference. You could shoot a cannon through the north end of Boston because everybody dumped out and they cordoned off about a four square street area around the fleet center. Here, you can't help New York being New York, and so it's really only a block perimeter around the garden that's actually cordoned off. And I'm thinking, Jesus, man, St. Joseph, and this whole thing, they're still, this is still New York, but you know what, they pulled it off, knocked wood to this door as if it was not even a blink. Yeah, phenomenal effort, phenomenal effort. I salute them. All right, so let's talk, do me a favor. Talk to me about the candidate in the first district running against Patrick Kennedy, Dave Rogers. I understand you know him. Yeah, I've known Dave Rogers for about three years. He's really an outstanding guy. I am. I'm so enthused about the fact that he has decided to make the run, and he's got, I understand, a very strong level of support. This is a district that I think I know a little bit about. I've been to Rhode Island a number of times, had a chance to do some public speaking there, and this is a district, I think, that could use somebody who's in the majority, who's had experience, former Navy SEAL. He's going to come to Congress in the majority, celebrate it, be able to deliver for that district, especially when it comes to national security issues, defense appropriations, big industry for that district, and restore some sense of fiscal sanity. We need to have somebody as a partner who's going to come in here and understand that we want to keep taxes low, lower taxes where we can, and encourage people to make decisions on their own, not have government make decisions. Well, perhaps you have some common ground with a guy like that, because he's going up against the icon in Camelot and all of that. Of course, it's the junior varsity at Camelot, I can promise you. Hillary Clinton, when you bite one off, you certainly know how to do it. You leave a very comfortable position as a growing, equity-building congressman, and you decide that you want to have the senator's job. Tell me about what it feels like now you look in retrospect about that race, which I think you held up pretty formidably. Thank you very much. You do it, as Dave Rogers is doing, you do it because you think it's the highest public service you can do for your community, and of course you know going into it, it's tough. You're running against somebody who's incumbent. I ran against somebody who was an incumbent for 18 years when I first ran for Congress. Came in 20-point deficit three weeks before election day and won, and it wasn't because we had money. We were outspent five to one. It's about people in the end. It's about the people in the district, the average voters, the mom and pops that run shops, the people that get up in the morning, turn the alarm on, sweep the floors out, pay the taxes, do the major grunt work to keep the community attractive. Those are the people that are going to make a difference in this election, and I'm hoping they're focusing on the right issues. A representative that's going to truly in the most pure form represent their interests in Washington. Not to be a national media star, not to raise money all over the country, but to put the interests of the first district first. That's what you're going to have with Dave Rogers. Tell me about what it's like to be Rick Lazio, semi on the sidelines. You've been on television all week long. I mean, you're definitely a photogenic guy and a guy that made a name for himself as a good public servant in Congress, and then you run against Hillary. What's it like to be not in the game but still in the game? Well, this week has been a blast for me because I get to see all my old friends that I haven't seen for a while get back in the batter's box for a little bit, which feels good, again, to be able to talk about issues which I have a passion for. But frankly, I'm in the private sector now. I have a terrific position, and in many ways I wish I would have had this position. What are you doing? I run a financial services group based in Manhattan, and we have an office in Washington. We help CEOs of big companies, particularly financial services CEOs, develop good governance practices and help them identify long-term issues. What's the right tax policy, retirement policy? Got to stay out of trouble. Got to stay out of trouble. But tonight, hopefully we're going to hear from the President about Social Security, and that is a big issue for our country. He is one of the few public leaders that I think will touch that third rail and not just survive but thrive. I don't understand why it's such a third rail. It's amazing to me. I understand that people like to protect their assets as long as they are guaranteed, but certainly the Social Security discussion has been so far off the page because of 9-11 and terrorism in Iraq and swift boats and all of that. I'm 43 years old. I'm not good. I hope God blesses me with another 25, 30 years of working. I'd like to invest some of that dough and see if I can't capitalize on a better savings plan, and what the hell is the matter with everybody? They don't get it. It's all based on scare tactics right now. What the President has been talking about in most of the mainstream plans is a plan that would not change Social Security at all for anybody who now receives Social Security or anybody who's near receiving it, say people who are 55 and over. This is for younger workers, people like you and younger workers who are entering the workforce. Say that again because my producers think I'm an old man. Younger workers. Dan's a younger worker. Dan York. Young. Young. That's what I think of. York is young. A chance to actually build up some equity, keep Social Security, have about 2 percent perhaps cordoned off, earmarked to invest in an account like a 401K. You know, Albert Einstein said the most powerful force in the world is compound interest. And that's what we want to get people to do. The average return on Social Security is somewhere between 1 and 2 percent. Since before 1929, before the stock market crashed, the average return in the market is about 12 percent. We understand that we need to make sure that people diversify, people that are close to retirement, people that aren't in retirement shouldn't be really in a lot of risky equities. You can fashion a system that takes care of that. The challenge here is to make sure that you get a program where somebody can own something. Most young people believe there's more of a chance of seeing a UFO than receiving Social Security. And that sense of disconnect has got to be overcome by letting people own their own account. Former Congressman Rick Lazio, I've got a couple more minutes with Rick before we check traffic and move on. The President of New York. The speeches have been incredible. Our own hometown, I kind of feel like it's, I can say that, Rudy Giuliani was unbelievable. He was unbelievable. Rick, as a New York guy you understand, there's only one guy that can laugh about 9-11, who has the equity to do it, the position to do it. It was like an Irish wake for crying out loud. There's so much profundity, I thought, in the way he ad-libs the story of the construction worker who hugs the President and yucking about Secret Service, holding him accountable if the construction worker crushes the President. It had the place roaring, but the laughter is that same laughter that you hear in a eulogy at a funeral when you're celebrating a life, but there's just a deep sadness that comes throughout it. And after, I thought, a really honored, a wonderful honored ceremony for the victims of 9-11, the poignancy was so poetic and so ad-libbed. I think the guy was more at home than I've ever seen anybody make a speech. Yeah, it was as if he was sitting on a stoop, talking to a native American and just talking to them about his life, his experience in September 11th, what it was like to work with George W. Bush, why he believes in this guy, and sort of spinning it in a way, I'm not saying spinning it, I guess that suggests somehow that if you looked at him, it was with absolute sincerity, like he wanted to tell people what he felt, what he saw, and why he feels so strongly. And believe me, this guy is absolutely committed to George Bush being remembered So, a couple of quick questions. I'm reading the New York Press today, and it's Giuliani, 2008, seeing delegates, but the governor is introducing the president tonight, that is pro forma for what's to come, and I see these two guys who have had to work together, have had their differences, but had to work together, the tragedy brought them shoulder to shoulder. Are we going to see Giuliani and Governor Pataki actually making a run at each other in a primary in the 2008 season? Who knows? They're both quality players, you've got a pretty deep bench already for Republicans. Well, we've got a governor in Massachusetts who's going to visit us in a quarter to four who I think is also in that game. I agree with that. Mitt Romney is an outstanding governor, outstanding national, potential national candidate, I've had the chance to sit with Governor Romney, incredibly impressed with him. Bill Frist, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, George Pataki, these are quality, deep fields, and they're all working their tails off for George Bush. And it's not for themselves, it's because they know there's a lot at stake here. So answer the question, do you think the two of them are running against each other? I think in the end... They'll go have a beer and say which one of them is going to win? I've got to believe so, I've got to believe. Those of us in New York don't want to be split like a wishbone, I hope so. Could you imagine? No! And where are you going to be in the next couple of years? Are you going to get back in the game or what? I love public service. I also like the private sector. I'm sure there's more cash but less sizzle and less rewards. So tell me, what are you going to do? I don't know. I don't know. As we say, I don't know. I'd like to continue to learn a little bit more about the private sector, put some money aside, spend some time with my family.
