God lives and works today. You too should be able to experience this, even if there are many unanswered questions in your life and many things you don't understand. The following meditation by Basilie Schlenk has an answer from the Word of God which can make you happy and free. Probably all of us would agree the worst thing in our lives is uncertainty, when we don't know how to go on, when we wonder if there is any meaning behind our suffering or behind a difficult leading of the Lord. As soon as we realize there is a purpose behind a difficulty, the pain loses some of its sting. We know that everything will work out for the good and we accept that the present situation is also good and necessary. In the 11th chapter of Romans, the Apostle Paul praises the wonderful thoughts and counsels of God. Yes, God has wonderful goals in mind for the nations of the earth as well as for each individual. He has planned the events of our lives so that they might lead to a marvelous goal. All the angels adore and praise his wisdom. In human realms, we are fascinated by great plans and strategies. Perhaps we know a little about chess and can recognize individual moves. Then one day, when we understand the whole strategy, we are amazed at its brilliance. Nevertheless, our most ingenious plans and actions are pitiable compared to the plans for salvation that God has made. Are you going through a special time of trial right now? Or has someone mistreated you or even deceived you? You can be assured you need only live before God. He has arranged your life according to a wonderful plan. One day you'll be able to see his strategy and you'll be amazed and grateful. His grace will triumph in the end, in your life and in the life of the nations. As Romans 11.33 says, O the depths of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God. Another translation of this verse speaks of the depths of grace in the heart of God. Yes, God's heart is a well of grace which is constantly bubbling and running over. Do you want to experience this grace? You need only say, I'm only concerned about God, my Father, his thoughts and his will for my life. Nothing can depress me. And then you will experience and drink from the fountain of his grace. His grace will triumph. This program by Basilea Schlenk has come to you from the little land of Canaan.
