Turn James one, please James one We're going to talk about how the God kind of love is perfected in you tonight how it's perfected in you How you have a divine nature, what does this divine nature look like And we're going to see how while we're looking at this we're going to see how and why people miss this divine nature because of religious traditions and and other things here For the powers of darkness really the powers of darkness folks if someone does not understand them If you don't understand the powers of darkness They're probably talking to you all the time Anyone that doesn't it's not in the war the powers of darkness have Just about occupying all their time with thoughts and suggestions And we're going to begin by looking at this right here at verse 14 Well, let's see verse 13 let no one say when he is tempted I'm being tempted by God for God himself does not tempt of evil and he himself does not tempt anyone We know that God doesn't do the tempting don't we we know the powers of darkness do the tempting but each one is tempted You might circle that tempted When he is carried away and enticed Now I want you to encircle tempted and enticed by what? Why don't you put that flesh on and just turn it on there Walter, okay All right, the powers of darkness come all of these things exalt themselves against the Word of God and all the works of the flesh They come to fill your mind full of these thoughts right here They want to get these thoughts down into your heart and when it gets down in your heart you receive it Then it's going to be coming out your mouth. And then when you're coming out to mouth, you're not you're not getting your prayers answered you don't have peace and the powers of darkness have ground to attack you destroy you and and They work death in you. Everybody see that and that right? Okay. Now, that's how they do it. Now. They come now. We just read this first. They come to entice you and Tempt you let me get my Bible They come attempt to ask you and tempt you after this curse nature Which you're repenting from is supposed to die to and put to death, right? So if you're not in the war, you'll receive these thoughts into your heart. They'll come out your mouth. You produce the fruit They'll they'll build strongholds. They'll get ground because when you practice these things, they're in your life front row back row or platform You might as well adjust to it. I Tell you when any of them get any control in your life and you're not working. You're not walking in peace death is working in you Also, I'll promise you one thing else. You're not walking in love every one of these things right here Exploits It's deceitful and it uses your neighbor it's a very opposite of loving your neighbor. Amen That's what sin and by the way, that's what sin and rebellion is It's when you when you exploit or you don't use you, you know Any of the act you do it doesn't love your neighbor a sin rebellion Okay, and that's what the powers of night they get you they put these Say anger whatever they put that in your mind and Then it build it up it comes down your heart and it comes out your mouth right there Then you're breaking God's law Then they can move in and get built when it went when you agree with them your heart in your mouth right there and you speak These then the powers of darkness when you speak and you agree with the nature of Satan They can come and move in strongholds on you and they're there folks They're absolutely there. And so this is what it time to talk about They come to entice you and attempt you with these works of the flesh So they can carry you away from the faith of love Loving the Lord with all your heart and your neighbors yourself now That's exactly what that verse is there And by the way, you're going to say this see this is talking to brethren not the pool room again. Okay All right now verse 15 Then when lust is conceived now, let's just stop and look at this lust is conceived See if you if you really hate the flesh nature and you only want to love the nature of God you're going to despise Criticism you're going to hate greed. You're going to hate grumbling and scoffing you're going to if you don't if you don't love the flesh nature, you're not going to have you're not gonna receive these thoughts of murder and Because all your heart belong you love the Lord with all your heart. You're going to hate these thoughts Isn't that right? But on the other hand now if you don't love the Lord with all your heart and you're not living all the heart then you'll Receive these thoughts and you'll meditate on them. You don't want these thoughts right here. They're a seed now watch very closely these Works of the flesh come as seed They're seeds that enemy right here. Once you see the war goes on right up here You stop it in your mind before it gets down your heart, right? So they plant these seeds right here and if you don't stop them these seeds that go down in here in your heart Now whatever treasure you put your hearts gonna come out your mouth You follow me if you just put this treasure right here the receive the word implanted Then your fruit of love is going to come out your mouth. But if you're receiving these thoughts against your brothers These seed is going to come out down in your heart and the powers of darkness is always showing you what's wrong with your wife What's wrong your husband? What's wrong with your children? They're showing you what's wrong with whatever people at work Listen to me people who love the flesh nature The power that walk in selfishness and self-love therefore the powers of darkness says are able to tear down every relationship you have People that walk like the devil can't have any relationship because the powers that is part of the curse Because they'll always lie to you They're lying to each one of you in a marriage any kind of relationship or friendship They're lying to each one of you about each other. They're always and see if you're not a lamb If you're not a lamb you won't put things up on the table That's all the way you can expose the devil is get everything up front Say if something send people at walking alone and a body of Christ is trying to please the Lord with all the heart They have this kind of freedom say brother, you know, I'm I'm there's something going on right here and I've got to get this thing I'm believing it such and such and such and such that you did such a time and then he'll turn around and he'll tell you Well, you know that is thinking the very opposite I was thinking you have to see none of that is true because I was thinking such and such and such and such and such And I see the devil was telling you both of your life Because but see if you're holding on the pride and all these kind of things you you harbor these things and they build into strongholds So this is how the powers of right but when you put everything up front now, listen to me when a lamb doesn't have anything I had he puts everything up front because he's all his motives is Jesus. No, this stuff works He's not interested in that only thing he's interested in you Jesus and he puts it all up there That is the way you expose the powers that are yeah And when you start doing that you expose their lies lies like now the minute you put it on the table All of that torments going to end in your mind It ends see they're going to torment you about unforgiveness towards somebody or resentment towards somebody or rejection somebody when you go talk to him I Then you'll you'll find out all the lies that were involved with the powers of darkness there and a moment you get that thing Right, it's all over no more torment. Listen when you do everything is unto the Lord God protects you I'm gonna tell you something folks just like brother Bob was talking about and make this thing It's abomination to fear the powers of darkness. It's abomination to make anything out of this But I tell you what what we make something out of is God Now and see when you get it we get on what God's up to he takes care of the power of the dark and seeing There was us to begin with right? He just shows he gets involved with us now. I want you to know he doesn't have any problem with the powers of darkness. Okay? Because they don't get to do nothing. He doesn't let him do Nothing did Satan have to get permission from God before he jumped on Job brought that sickness and all that stuff. Sure. He does God the powers of darkness don't don't cross the hedge Let me tell you just give you example you start you start dealing with demons and I don't believe in this manifestation stuff I'm pretty much face manifestations of somebody needs you need to get him saved first because sir All right, because see all we want to see is a manifestation of God We don't see no manifestation But back when I didn't know any better and things like that And I thought you had to go through these manifestations and everything and sometimes they might be situations where you do When you start using a word in the name of Jesus you find out who doesn't trembling Are you see what I'm saying? But see we don't have it's the prayer of and a power comes through righteous people It doesn't come through double-minded people. It's wise virgins and Christians are going to come to light Now they come to entice you and attempt you to carry away from the faith How they carry away from the praise getting you to break God's law When they get you to break God's law the heads come down and when the heads come down they can start building Strongholds and fortresses and then they can put diseases and things for this to begin destroying you Amen now They put these seed they try to get these seed in your heart and they do it by thoughts up here Now if you meditate on what they are saying, I let's take sexual lust If you meditate on lust Up here and you don't resist it up here. It's going to go down your heart. What matter you say that you have committed Adultery is when you've done it in your what heart and that right? What see the heart is the whole issue either your heart believes under righteousness or your heart believes on unrighteousness Now the question is who has your heart If Religious traditions have your heart. I'm gonna tell you what you're no different in the world You just probably quit drinking smoking chewing and cussing, but you still walk and talk like a devil Amen Yes, clean up your act a little bit because I want you to understand something folks what God calls love and righteousness Has not been what we've been calling righteousness and holiness and love it's two different things You got to understand this if you don't understand it you you've shot for the wrong goal Amen, and see it and also understand this to see that's where all the glory is This is where you get all your prayers answered. This is where all folks This is where it is. God just pours out heaven on you, but you have to suffer Don't let mr. Pride come along and kind of put a little Condemnation on you because you're suffering the flesh because we're gonna see later on. Yes, it's not joyful, but sorrowful when you're dying Amen But I have you suffered for a little while that's when you establish strength and confirmed and established right now these things exalt their self all the works of the devil exalt himself against the Word of God gets the law of God and That this is what the powers of darkness come to do to entice you to tempt you Now once again, they put these thoughts in your mind false teachers powers of darkness You use false teacher and they second Peter to that's how they tried to lead you right through here Fleshly lust they promise you freedom while they're slaves of corruption. Also, this is corruption right here That's corruption of the and you're supposed to escape the corruption. It's in the world of lust So that's what Jesus came to do so now Then when lust or let's just read it again now while we got to 14 each one is tempted When he has carried away from the faith and He is enticed by his own lust now when you you're carried away from the faith when you're not walking in love And this is a very the powers of darkness bring the very opposite of love to you man Then when this lust is conceived in other words, you meditate it on it in your mind Instead of resisting these thoughts putting up a shield of faith you start meditating When you start meditating listen to me right here like unforgiveness comes up here instead of instead You know, if you love the flesh you love what the powers that you welcome the thoughts of unforgiveness at the powers of darkness talk to you about Because you love the flesh you want to get him back You want to revile back anger revenge grudge? Are you so you welcome these thoughts of unforgiveness, but? If you love Jesus more than you do anything else you love the Lord with all your heart you'll say Lord I I Know My flesh right now is wanting to hit back at this person, but I want your approval More than I do My own And I choose Lord To suffer here because I want to please you more than I want to please myself Or anything else and so what you'll do in that particular faith You know that God's looking right here all the time. He's looking right in your heart Every thought and so you choose to stand right there and say Lord you say in your word from a throne of grace I can receive mercy and grace and help in time of need of temptation I'll not be tempted by any point, but what without that temptation? It's gonna be a way of escape from your throne I receive love and forgiveness love and forgiveness is flowing through me now to this one that wants to murder me over there And what do you think happens there it comes? It's only when a Lord doesn't have all your heart That you have problem with these thought because if you still love the flesh nature You're going to love the suggestions from the powers of darkness because the flesh nature and the nature of Satan in the powers of darkness is the same thing see What you're going to have to work on is decide to repent To decide you love the Lord more than you do anything else. Amen And then when you love the Lord with anything else these are not gonna be any temptations for you Because you're not trying to please flesh and self-assistance self-love in the ways of Satan you're trying to please God so that Amen, so you suffer in the flesh, but you'll cease from sin You're not going to meditate on them So these seeds cannot conceive in your mind So then you're purifying your heart with the Word of God because all your motives and thoughts is to purify your heart So you'll be conformed to the image of Jesus. You have the nature of God. Amen And in that way you have a renewed mind you no longer have the mind of Satan You have the mind of the Lord Because you have a mind renewed mind when you put to death the deeds of the flesh now I'd like to see that hold up your hand Okay, all right, so then Now all these want you to come against your neighbor Remember that mind set on the flesh if your mind loves the flesh nature You're hostile to God and you will not subject yourself to the law of God. Amen Okay Now when lust is conceived it gives birth to sin and then when sin is accomplished the powers of likeness have ground in your life then and Then it brings forth what? Because you've broken life's law is God law bring death. Amen Check your head Brings death. All right. Now all of these want you to come and get your neighbor. Is that right? Selfishness and self-love, you're not loving your neighbor when you live in the selfishness and self-love if you're living in self-love You're living in self-worship. All right. Now, let's just continue verse 19 So it goes on to warn you this, you know, my beloved brethren But let everyone be quick to hear and you better be slow to what? You better be slow to speak against your brother Are you beginning to see this? Don't let the fruit come out of your mouth that comes against your brother. Are you hear me? All right Slowed. All right quick to hear and slow to speak and slow to anger for the anger of man does not achieve It comes short of the righteousness of God therefore You putting aside all all all filthiness. Can I tell you what filthiness is right here? You see it all these works of the flesh every work of the flesh and everything It's not love and breaks. God's law is put aside. You put aside all that remains of filthiness All the filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, which is the works of the flesh and now in humility You're gonna receive the word implanted This word implanted is going to perfect you and love. This is how you're born again by the Word of God And it's going to save you so If we see it Jesus told how she's going to have eternal life You're gonna love the Lord with all your heart and your neighbors yourself You can't you you can't you can never be perfected in love You can never love your neighbors yourself unless you first love the Lord with all your heart And if you don't love the Lord with all your heart, you're not gonna receive the word implanted. You're just in religion. I Hope that you're learning something about the fear of God here folks Ah You know a little I just feel like some stronghold just shot some darts right up there Well, that's too hard to do. You know what? I'm really saying to you right here What was so difficult to ask you to love the Lord with all your heart What is so difficult about that the love of Lord what's wrong with that Unless There's some part of you That you love better and the only thing that can be would be the nature of Satan And I'll get you killed You can come to every meeting you still get killed You can go to a lot of seminars and still get killed The Issue is love the Lord all your heart folks. It's just sad. This is what repentance is Decide you're gonna love the Lord with all your heart Then you have to give up the world you have to give up your family You have to give up you in other words you give up everything else would come second God. I'm living for you And when you do that Spirit of God's all over he puts a few angels around you and he's not bad fellowship. It's not a total loss is it? And that right Now listen to me you put aside filthiness and wickedness Well, listen folks If you're still gonna hold on there's some of these things of pride and greed Now watch me You're not going to receive the word implanted in your heart. You know why? You'll resist the part of the Bible That comes against pride and greed Because you love pride and greed more than you do Jesus That's why I said you have to put it all aside This is what the power of doctors want you to do they want to make you make an idol out of pride They want to make an idol out of great Well that man how did would that apply to a man who teaches a word how much of this Bible do you think he's going? to use To tear down pride and greed when he loves pride and greed. How's he going to tear down those strongholds in you? After you're fully trained you're gonna be like a teacher If Jesus is your teacher, you're gonna be like him if some man who still loves pride and greed You're gonna walk out with spiritual pride, too Are you following me That's the reason the power of the word said you better take care what you listen to you better care You better guard your heart for from it all flows issues of life. You better be sure what gets down in your heart That's the reason 2nd Timothy 2 Says the fellowship of those who come the Lord to pure hearts you out here walking and talking like in the world You're getting killed You're getting destroyed Now that's the world in church today, this is a different thing going on today It's in your Bible, it's the context and God's letting us see it grace Now if you're wise virgin you're going to come to light if you're a foolish virgin you want peace and safety and you just don't like To hear having to give up pride and greed and selfishness and self-centered you won't come That's how Jesus said I didn't break come to bring peace. I came to bring the sword. I'm gonna divide mother-in-law and daddy-in-law and sister-in-law and a son and Father daughter, it's going to divide My Family is split wide open I'm not going over where they are. They have to come over where I am. I've got God You hear me Now Remember that the word is not gonna receive in plan now You just be religious and you intend everything you do backflips and then shake rattle and roll But I'm gonna tell you what unless you receive the word In your heart buddy, you're getting killed Now you better back up You better back up and decide you love the Lord with all your heart It's only when you love the Lord with all your heart. Are you a love? The things that exalt themself against the Word of God and break God's law Now folks, let me tell you something. It's when you love the Lord with all your heart It's simplistic and purity of devotion of Christ in that right brother It's a simplicity when you love the Lord with all your heart I tell you what's real complicated It's getting rid of the devil when you love him Are you hear what I'm saying Now when you love the nature of the devil you get him and He come with a sword to brother You don't make any truce with him or any peace with him. You don't make any covenant with him He'll kill you You The only way you could ever of everybody in this world now, oh, let me show you something about the justice and judgment of God This world Is in rebellion to God it's hostile to God it shakes his fence right in God's ways You know, they're wise in their own eyes it'd be sure terror People actually die from fear if they understood the judgment of God But God allows people to be wise in their own eyes He permits people to draw near with their mouth While their heart is far from him, but see He puts a sword right to their throat God Let's those who want to walk and obey in him and see every word that they say Against God every word they do to break God's law and motive. They don't honor God and they're not gonna love God and there everyone now listen this Everyone is destroyed and removed from this earth That won't honor God for his word And it looks like that people get by with things And if you could just see what's happening to them in the spiritual how the powers of darkness are just interim in there entering their bodies And he said you can watch away. You don't sit on envy the wicked people He said you can just watch him and I you see it after a little while you're gonna look for him and they don't be around Because the powers of darkness don't do anything but kill steal destroy and It kills steal and destroy and torment with pure hell everyone it does not have the hedge and protection of God and Everyone who refuses to honor God to honor his word Do not have that hedge and protection as a matter of fact God lets you have a little sample of that when you when you break his laws He stays on the throne of grace. He lets you come back But he lets everybody be destroyed Today is a great falling away. You're living in it today. There's a falling away from the faith People are taught it's okay to practice these things that you can have two natures You can walk take the devil by one hand you can take God by the other hand James 1 tells you a double-minded man received nothing from God James 3 tells you you speak blessings and cursing brother This is a world flesh and demonics being forced calls issues because double-mindedness. It's that's who the adulterous whore harlot is That's the ones that false doctrines that do not conform you to God in us Teach people and take a walk in this and they've got a place in heaven Because they capture their heart see I've got me in your doctrine tonight There's number one do this number two do this number three do this number four do this and be saved and See when this captures your heart right here, you can toss your Bible away You don't have to be formed to godliness because you've got some smart men the precepts and opinions of men right here They're smarter than God and you just follow them to hell. I Was on drugs and I was seeking help Standing over bridges I in a loop in Chicago up there just went up on a 60-story building That's about how I used to be a stigger or seal rig and went up there at night and found my way through the exit Got up there tonight to go up there and jump off and just stand on the edge of it And boy just one thought and I can just go I can end all this Just jump off. I leaned over. I leaned over a boy. I just wanted to go and get it all over with I was listening to a name. Of course, I didn't know that and Something just tell me back and then finally I got on the coping and run around the edge of the building on that coping about that Wide right there. Maybe I'll just stumble and fall off at night drugs And you know something in the midst of that that I went to men who are supposed to represent God I'm in Florida sleeping out on Beaches and broke drugs and just see the reason that people go to drinking and drug because there's so much torment and hell from the powers of darkness if you don't Turn to Jesus you're gonna have some kind of relief from it So it's easier to turn to drugs and drink But I remember going to men Replicate God and see like I told you I had antennas before Jesus ever sang and I could tell they did They I was wasting their time. So it's a trial It's gonna be test the powers and darkness get to test you they put pressures on you and all anything But if God has all your heart you just stand there just want to please God It's the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ and you just you don't have to make anything complicated out of it You just want to just you just stand around a minute and when you stand in the middle of you want to please God That's when you die to it. I just love a city I don't I don't like Enjoy looking at many of them during the daytime and I like to see those lights at night sometime when I'm a hotel or motel Room or something like that And I was looking at that big old tall building over in Dallas And I you know, I just kind of pictured in mind You know who who would own that because I used to see things like that before I knew about Jesus and my mind got on things above instead of things below And I would just bow down and know how great it was for somebody and then, you know, I will be in thinking Well, what if I had the responsibility I own in that building right there and keeping up that thing Look at all the time and I'd miss you know, where life is and everything What a waste of time that would be for me to have all that thing in my life It would I mean it destroy everything I was doing and you know, I in I constantly right there said well, you know I don't even want it I wouldn't have it if it was to give it to him unless I could just sell it to give to the poor or something like that Are you seeing why you treasure when you build your treasures here on earth? Now that the proof of your faith Being more precious than gold Which is perishable even though it's going to be what your faith is going to be what It's going to be tested by fire. Who's the power? Powers and darknesses of fire And the flesh gets burned up in that fire, doesn't it Doesn't the flesh get burned up. It has to die the shop. Okay But the proof your faith be more precious than gold Perishable, even though Testament fire may be found to be result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation Jesus now We know that that gold is divine nature. It comes through the fire in that right when you come through the fire All the wooden hand stubble burns up at all, but the gold is left, right? the gold's divine nature the Divine nature loves the Lord with all his heart and his neighbors his self now look at verse 9. That's what you call sanctification Obtaining as the outcome of your faith the outcome of this kind of faith right here that comes through the fire Slave this through the fire is the salvation of your souls. Is that pretty plain folks, huh? now verse 14 as obedient children We're no longer conformed to the former lust which used to be ours in our ignorance Which were were were circle were ours in her ignorance and darkness. We're not in that ignorance and darkness We see that lust on the screen up there. That's not where we're walking at a beat it Surely we've turned in this because we love the Lord with all their heart instead of what the nature of the devil and the works of flesh But like the Lord Jesus Christ the Holy One We're now called to be to his image We're going to be holy ourselves in all our behavior because Jesus is holy in all his behavior And we've conformed to his image by putting death the deeds of the flesh, right? then verse 16 because it is written you shall be holy for I am holy and if you're holy like the Lord is holy I'm I'm gonna tell you right now. You do have a divine nature now chapter 2 Therefore you put aside all malice Can you can I just tell you what this is saying right now? You put aside all the works of the flesh right up here you put aside all this this is what look up here You put this all aside right here. You put aside all malice You put aside all guile the words out of your mouth. That's contrary to love You put aside all hypocrisy saying one thing and walking another you put aside all envy you put aside all slander In other words we're talking about the fruit that comes out of your mouth because you you put it all aside because you're you're walking In love now the nature of God. Amen Okay, now that's a trial Now like newborn babies long for the pure milk of the word That by this Word of God by it circled by it. It's by the Word of God Circle by it three times Because it's by the Word of God that you're gonna grow in respect to salvation That's how you're born again by the Word of God for being perfected in love. Amen Now verse 5 You also as living sons, we're living songs. Can I tell you that's a temple? It's being built today right now The temple's being built folks while a flesh is waiting for a physical temple to be built in Israel The temple is being built of Israel It's been built right now and God's put it the law has been lost as it was in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah and God's put it in the hearts of people who rebuild and come and rebuild right now We're working on the foundation and we get that foundation. We're going to build a wall And that wall is going to be the glory of Jesus We're gonna have peace inside we're gonna walk along the hedges as compelling come in here or there's peace Jesus But We as living songs we're built up into that spiritual house or temple We're a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. So why they do they They spoke against they spoke against the Word of God didn't he and said he proved himself unworthy of eternal life You don't pick and choose through this Bible takes all of it now see when you pick and choose to it You're not gonna get rid of a malice and anger. You know, you're gonna walk however you want to walk You're gonna walk in your own righteousness But when you take use all this Bible right now see pride and greed the ones who have pride and greed would not use all of this Bible That's the reason you're going to know false teachers by the fruit You know why you cannot use all this Bible and build a fleshly reputation And they say it over here You cannot use All of this Bible and built be a flesh team This Bible comes and tears down the flesh you keep this a reason out to pose it with controversial questions They have to come back and attack these controversial questions are curses on people They that's the way they attack and they program people to to react and Then when they react to some part of the Bible because the controversial question They're rejecting Jesus and when they reject Jesus, they're stumbling over the stone of the song because they're holding on to these things right there They don't want to give up selfish ambition and flesh kingship They love the honor the honor of men approval of man born approval of God When you don't love the Lord with all your heart you want approval of man Amen Now Now look here in verse 8 and thus they and they become a stone of stumbling Jesus becomes a rock of offense for they stumble Because they're disobedient to the Word of God and when you when they are they the law is broken and to this doom They were also appointed That plane You don't see when you but when you reject in part of the Word of God You're stumbling over the stumbling song just like a Pharisees and that's what doctrines that do not conform you to God is that's where They lead you to do you some everybody's offended by each other's doctrine They might have a good part of the word But when you gather around something, how do you stay open for everything else that God? Is that your in your Bible? Now let me show you something You'll never conduct yourself in fear on you on this earth When you have a false security Because you don't know the reality of the judgment and what's going on This teaches not to fear God They tap dates around that and call it something else. This is a seed of the Word of God You're born again not of seed which is perishable but in perishable You're born again through the living and the continuing and abiding Word of God who perfects you to love and Conforms you to the image of Jesus Now Folks You know, what's the opposite of that? Having a nice fella who knows every historical event in this Bible right here it's a dead book in his hand and Sometimes And a people that Won't preach righteousness and everything the demons will cooperate with them do a few signs and wonders That's why I said it gonna be in the last days Because we'll see scripture where they did signs and wonders all over the place May see it tonight plan to if we can get to it They went right straight to hell Did miracles prophesied did all the other things? What they're doing wasn't mixed with holiness and righteousness See if you start judging things by what you see Instead of other fruit, are you here what I'm saying? Okay now Let's go back to chapter 2 And we look verse 21 I saw this before I looked this before but I want you to do it again with me for you Have been called for this purpose Since Christ also suffered for you. He left you an example For you to follow and walk in the same step as he walked he committed no sin where there's any deceit found in his mouth and that's exactly the way you and I are to walk and why being reviled when people Persecuted condemned him. He is afflicted and everything else. They said against him. He did not revile or speak doubt Heck, he didn't break God's law. He didn't turn to the flesh You no longer wore after the flesh while suffering he uttered no threats But he just kept right on in trusting himself to the one who judges righteously And that's exactly where I'm going to show you in this same book that you do Listen folks when you stand in the pressure right there. You're saying God You know, this is not right what's being done to me And I could sure prove and I should sure do them in right now and The flesh is one of me to and the powers of darkness are talking to me and suggesting it but I'm wanting your approval and I'm wanting your love and approval more than I'm wanting to look good to anyone else and I'm gonna Have to save my reputation So I'm I'm give up this pride And I give up this name for myself because I want to please you more than I not choose We'll have a divine nature God because Lord you love those who speak against you And I choose to love the one that's unlovable to me too because I love you and The nature of God more than I do the nature of the devil And that's how you die And that you stand right there in these pressures when these things come and you just all you haven't got nothing I mean, you don't look too good in this world when you're going through these things Honey you ain't got your reputation to see that's where you die to reputation and pride and all these And when you go through that valley right there and everything God will let you be there a while and then you prove it You're loving him more than you are in your reputation or anything else that you've really got all your heart And then when you suffered a little while there, he's going to perfect you heaven is going to drop on you And that precious You prove it in when you're suffering right there and when you choose to make these choices in these trials That's when the comforter comforts Amen Okay now You untrust him to the one who judged righteously And he himself Jesus bore our sins in his body on the cross Folks let me you know why he bore his sins on a body on the cross. Listen to me You know what a carnal doctrine tells you So you can practice sin you can bless your father and you still walk in sin That's the reason you do it. I'll ask you does carnal doctrines teach you that That you can bless and then he's already taken all your sins Boy he had saved you can keep you I'll tell you why he died on the cross To take your previous sins and put them out of the blood and then you're gonna walk and overcome in life look there But he himself bore our sins in his body on the cross that we might what I can't hear you You're going to die to sin You're going to live to righteousness for by after you die to sin was it say you're gonna do number two You go what But you can't live to righteousness until you die to sin, you know that can't you and that prove true I'll ask you something This carnal doctrines where men are kings and Lords over God's heritage teach you that absolutely do not they teach you the very opposite Then but listen to me. He's gonna make you perfect He's gonna confirm you you're gonna look where you weak right there and everything y'all done in and hit power and strength He's gonna strengthen you and then he's gonna establish this covenant with you and a pair of a righteous man of Eliph much You get all your prayers answered But I've called you and chosen you to bear much fruit John 15 16 and That this fruit remain keep standing in it. That's the Word of God You're now going to become partakers of a what I Can't hear you You become partaker of divine nature After you've suffered for a while and you let the flesh be put to death in you Or the Word of God you stand right on it Then you have a divine nature and that's the way you Escape the corruption or judgment. That's in the world by what? The judgment of God is on all the lust of flesh Now you see in a way out now, let me ask you something that's exactly what When you have this divine nature That's when you enter into the land of peace and rest That's the land you're to go possess That's the land Where the Canaanite nations are You go get them off of there if you leave any of them in there, they're gonna be thorns in your side You remove them all from there and then God gives you complete rest from the enemies you walk in total peace Moses was a type of Jesus Moses went to a people in Egypt And he led him out of Egypt with signs and wonders Jesus Is leading his people out with the Word of God and signs and wonders are following the Word of God today Moses Led the people Through the wilderness and The Spirit of God Which was a cloud? Led them and they drank water from a rock which was Christ who followed them Jesus is leading us through the wilderness, which is this world right? It's a terrible wilderness full of scorpions And the powers of darkness and you're being led through this world by the Spirit of God and And In this world you suffer and you learn in the wilderness as a polymode They learned obedience to the Christ that day. He was always there In the wilderness, we learn to trust God the wilderness experience We move through the world And we're led by God now if you don't like if they find things in this wilderness experience They wanted to turn back to Egypt So what they did Is built them Took gold and built them a cave And they bowed down to the cave and they turned back and wanted to go back to Egypt today People who do want to go the trials that don't really love the Lord with all the heart don't want to prove that they love the Lord with all their heart They find them a gold cave And they find a leader that'll take them back in Egypt where they can worship wood and stone again Same thing the people in Egypt. I mean the people that Moses led of Egypt They wouldn't go in to possess the land and get the Canaanite nations off the land Because if they go in and possess the land That is a land that they'll enter To find peace and rest from their enemies People today And so those people that would not go and possess the land Were destroyed in the wilderness They were cursed God didn't let one of them it refused to go in it He turned him back and let him die right there into the wilderness in confusion And when they were all destroyed he took their children and said Would you like to go possess the land? And They said yes, I believe we would Now today He's telling you to go possess the land Hebrews 3 and 4 that's what it's all about. It's telling you to go get the Canaanite nations off the land And if I can have an opportunity I'll show you in the New Testament that your bodies are fall in the wilderness in exactly the same way their bodies fell If you don't possess the land Let me say that again If you don't go to possess the land I'll show you and your body by a Bible that your bodies have fall just exactly the way there's fell in the wilderness if you Don't go and possess the land Because the reason you don't want to possess the land Is that you find a leader to take you back to the world who will tickle your ears And tell you how righteous and holy you are in the ungodly rebellion to God you won't go possess the land and when you don't go possess the land, you don't have the protection from God and He'll do to you just as like he left a tenant Canaanite nations just Destroy people he's turned these can a Canaanite nation loose today. He turned the powers of darkness loose today He let your enemies destroy you because anyone it doesn't possess the land It's not obeying God's law if you're not buying God's law You're not blessed if you're banned God's law you're blessed everything you put your hands to But you will go through a trial or in a valley because in this valley you learn to trust God see you got to go With these pressures on you to find that you God proves. He's faithful God proves through these trials It's not you That you put your confidence in or someone else you put it in God because then he can take you anywhere when you go through these He's always there he's faithful God doesn't have any problem with any big shots or anything else around. He doesn't have any problem with folks You don't have to be afraid of him Yes, you'd be you fear God and get interested in what God's saying It's a bunch of jump to let somebody manifest a little temper or a little some nice work How's the devil gonna act? They gonna likely act like a devil? They're gonna be brotherly kindness in your brother Kindness, there's gonna be love and at verse 8 if these qualities are yours and are increasing they render you neither useless Nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ Now watch very closely in verse 9 For he who lacks these qualities of overcoming and the overcoming life divine nature He is what? Listen to me folks Is that where the people in Laodicea are they blind naked they don't even know it they already rich and great I think I already arrived. Hey, come and look at us folks. We're the pattern They're already rich and increasing goods anyone who lacks these qualities are blind Or short-sighted They have forgotten their former purification for sins in other words when you come to Jesus to make him Lord They repent of all those things and then continue to walk in practice them willfully Therefore brethren be all the more diligent to make certain about his calling and choosing you For as long as you practice these things overcoming the nature of God you will never stumble because that's love and it's for those three words for What does that say those three words in this way circle in this way This is a way that the entrance and to the eternal kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ Will be abundantly supplied to you glory be to God forevermore Would you like to see what that divine nature looks like? All right before I tell you about it, can I tell you something it's a very opposite of Impatience, I mean it's a very opposite of these things right there see it impatience. It's a very opposite of jealousy This is the nature of Satan the divine nature of God's a very opposite of it turn to first Corinthians 13 Now this is how you're perfected in love you're perfected in love and you love your brothers yourself and you love your neighbor Jesus loved you when you walk in this love here. It is right here verse 4 1st Corinthians 13 verse 4 this God kind of love Is what? Patient what's this right here? The nature of the devil is impatient The nature of God is patient The God kind of love is can the God kind of love is what? Not jealous it's a very opposite look here of the nature of the devil the flesh it's not jealous The God kind of love does not brag Pride the God kind of love is not arrogant The God kind of love does not act unbecomingly the God kind of love does not seek its own The God kind of love is not provoked the God kind of love does not take into account a wrong suffering The God kind of love does not rejoice in unrighteousness The God kind of love rejoices with the truth the God kind of love bears all things Believes all things hopes all things the God kind of love endures all things the God kind of love never fails Go back to verse 1 If you speak with the tongues of men and angels and you don't have this God kind of love You become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal if you have the gift of prophecy and you know all Mysteries and all knowledge and if you have all faith so as to remove mountains and you don't have this God kind of love You're nothing. I'm nothing If you give all your possessions to feed the poor and you deliver your body to be burned and you still don't have this God kind of love it profits me nothing Let me believe we're called to possess the land You fall away When your heart turns to anything that you love more in the gospel So first I'll tell you what the thing is we got to work on It'll be a very defeating thing See first You love the Lord with all your heart if you're gonna live a defeated and Despairing confusing life If your fellowship with those who do not come to the Lord with a pure heart when they teach you to honor men and everything Because you can't overcome You can't never get the direction until you an atmosphere where you'll love the Lord with all your heart Because you will never You will never never be perfected in love until first you love the Lord with all your heart And then when you love the Lord with all your heart Sufferings not gonna be any big thing Because it's in the suffering you get to prove God you love God God, I love you more than I love myself and God's comforter Love just come all over you. That's how you get promoted. I'm gonna tell you that's how you get promoted promoted promoted promoted Hey, man See folks if they've been some things that's calling you stumbled for Be sure careful what you're listening to You get the wrong seeds in your heart And you can't be perfect in love you're not being perfected in love The enemy is working death in you Destroying you There's a great fall away, so well, I just don't think things could be this way. Having the gun but the Spirit of God you come the Lord with all your heart and now you're being Perfected by the flesh in other words, you've turned back and you turn to the you're leaving your first love you're going after this doctrine It does not conform you to godliness. This gospel is distorted and it's made contrary look back in Galatians 1 He said verse 6, I'm amazed That you're so quickly deserting him who called you by the grace of God for a different gospel You're getting a different God now. Listen to me Look at me is the last part of Galatians 5 and 6 is it particularly 5 and 6 is it dealing with how you're supposed? To be led by the Spirit of God and not be led by the flesh. Amen That's what we are Look, I he's telling them in the very first chapter when you get a distorted gospel on gospel It's contrary you're walking out to the flesh. You're not being perfected in the Spirit of God. Amen Well, that's what he's telling He said verse 7. Well, they want to distort the gospel of Jesus verse 8. It's a it's a gospel It's contrary now watch his verse 8 But even though we are an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preach to you Let him be what? Does the law bring a curse if I had time I'd go another place and show the law brings a curse when you preach teach Anything that's contrary That breaks the law a curse comes on it It is cursed any doctrine is contrary and when you put a heart becomes a part of it you receive a curse You join your heart to it you receive a curse That's what some of the things that we break Your heart letting men theology nothing is your source except the Lord Jesus Christ Now when you break all these vows and commitments and join your heart to these thing here people feel like a Top of their heads coming off and all these old religious spirits and curses of slander and gossip and diseases and It's A compulsion to slander. It's a compulsion to gossip. You Scott It's one of the curses and then you get anything away and in this kind of situation where they don't deal with adultery right there You just kind of push it aside and don't deal with the corner by whether the curse of adultery comes on a place you join Your heart to in the curse of adultery Then you have a curse of divorce over the thing right there and then people just start to get more divorces They're willing country club That's what you have when you get you join your heart up to something that doesn't conform you to God It's you get these curses on you. You don't stand a chance The law brings a girl well, I'm gonna go that far. Let me just prove it more turn Hold your place and turn to first Timothy 1 Because I don't leave you hanging right there because I know that some people are dealing with some things here First Timothy 1 Does the law bring a curse? It Brings it to lawbreakers, does it? Right now in verse Who do you think of laws made for for people that's walking in love for those are not walking in love It's a warning the ones is not walking on Paul said I did no sin until I looked the law and then what was me Wretched man I am now look in verse 9 first Timothy 1 verse 9 realizing the fact That the law is not made for a righteous man But this law is made for those and it warns those who are lawless This law is made for the rebellious. This law is made for the ungodly This law is made for the sinners. This law is made for the unholy and so on now, let me ask you something Do you think the doctrines its contrary look at me right here? Do you think there that might fall in their category because the doctrine is contrary is going to lead you to be all of these Things unholy it's going to lead you to be lawless. It's going to be your real rebellious ungodly Did we see that in 2nd Timothy 3, let's continue Verse 10 and immoral men the law is not made for a righteous man But it's the law is against immoral men Homosexuals kidnappers and liars and perjuries and the law is not made of a righteous man, but it's made It's judgment against what ever else is Contrary to sound teaching according to the glorious gospel of the Blessed Lord, which had been entrusted That's what the law against it brings a curse on Are you hear me? because any doctrine that's contrary or different doesn't lead you into righteous and the whole is it leads you into unholiness and rebellion to God And this is exactly what he taught go back to verse 3 The last part of verse 3 is telling you better instruct these men not to teach these strange doctrines The first four it's talking about all it does it just lead people into mere speculation Rather than it doesn't further the ministration of God them teaching these doctrines strange doctrines contrary verse 5 But the goal of our instruction of the true gospel Paul says Is love from a what? Their heart but these other doctrines it's contrary these strange doctrines are not teaching to that They're not sound teaching shake your head. If you see in that it's not sound teaching and so verse 6 for some men are Straying from this good conscience and sincere faith in the pure heart They're straying from these things have turned aside to fruitless Discussions and they want to be teachers the law even though they don't understand They don't need to understand what they're saying or matters about which they make confident assertions And then he goes on to tell him that the law is not made for righteous man But it's made this law is made for the unholy ungodly and these people Whatever is teaching whatever is contrary according to the glorious gospel now, you see how you get accursed the hedges down That's how Babylon comes to dwell in place of demons.
