Why Isn't Someone Yelling Rape?
Greg Locke

Greg Locke (May 18, 1976 – N/A) is an American preacher and pastor whose ministry has blended fiery evangelism with controversial social commentary, leading Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, for nearly two decades. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, to a mother whose name is undisclosed and a father who was imprisoned during Locke’s early years, he faced a turbulent childhood after his mother remarried when he was five, clashing with his stepfather. After multiple arrests, he was sent to Good Shepherd Children’s Home in Murfreesboro at 15, where he converted to Christianity in 1992, later earning a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies from Ambassador Baptist College and a Master’s in Revival History from the Baptist Theological School of New England. Locke’s preaching career began in the mid-1990s as an Independent Baptist evangelist, traveling across 48 states and 16 countries, before founding Global Vision Baptist Church in 2006, renamed Global Vision Bible Church in 2011 after splitting from the Baptist movement. His sermons, marked by bold stances against cultural shifts—like Target’s gender-neutral bathroom policy in a viral 2016 video—propelled him to internet fame, amassing millions of social media followers. Author of books like This Means War (2020) and executive producer of Come Out in Jesus Name (2023), he has preached at pro-Trump ReAwaken America Tour events, often focusing on spiritual warfare and conservative values.

Sermon Transcription
The book of Judges, chapter number 19. That's after the book of Joshua, just before the book of Ruth in your Bible. The book of Judges in chapter number 19. It's good to see you tonight. I realize more than likely the rain has probably kept a few people away, but I appreciate your faithfulness tonight in the house of God here at this revival service. I enjoyed myself yesterday. I appreciate the good blessings of God, the two young men being saved and also being baptized yesterday. I'm looking for the Lord to do great things, not only tonight, but also through Friday night. I hope you'll do your dead-level best to be here yourself and also bring somebody with you. Unless the rapture takes place or unless Jesus changes my heart about the message, on Friday night I'll be preaching a message from Matthew, chapter number 13, that the Lord has greatly used over the past couple of years across America. It's entitled, What's Everybody Screaming About? So I hope that you'll be back for that service and bring your lost friends and neighbors and coworkers with you that night. And I'm not sure if I'll preach that message, but if God lays it upon my heart as he has thus far, I will. And normally I close out a revival meeting with that. I say that to say this, tonight's message is a message that I've never preached in my life. Unless you are a preacher, and some are and most aren't in this room tonight, but unless you're a preacher, especially somebody that travels a lot and does a lot of preaching by the grace of God, you may not understand the message tonight. Very rarely, if ever, do I do this in my ministry. Most of the time I know exactly where I'm going, I know where I've been, I know where I'm headed, and I know where I'm at. But tonight I've got a text that is just undeniably burning in my heart. I didn't want to preach on this message. If this would have been a message I was supposed to pick tonight, this would be the last thing I'd have preached. I've never preached on this text. I just read this text, really, and understood it just a couple of weeks ago in my ministry. But it has been burning in my soul. And so for about the past two or three weeks of my life, this message has been, not necessarily this message, but this portion of Scripture has just been inflamed in my soul. And so we might go 20 minutes tonight, we might go an hour tonight. I don't know what we're going to do, but I'm telling you, this message is just burning in my heart. And because I've never preached it, I'm just tickled pink to get it off my chest. I don't know why the Lord wants me to preach it. I don't know what it is. But I've got a text tonight that's rather lengthy. It's 30 verses long. I won't apologize for that because we need more of what God says and what Greg says anyhow. But because of the length, I understand I'm not going to have you stand because I'm going to make some preliminary remarks as we read down through. Judges 19, I'll begin my reading in verse number 1. We will end our reading in verse number 30 and we will have the message tonight. And again, I just believe I have the mind of the Lord trying to do what God wants me to do tonight. And so I hope this message will be a blessing to you as I try to obey God's Spirit. Judges 19, verse number 1. Please follow along. If you have a Bible, if you do not, please look on with a neighbor. Very important verses tonight. If you don't get these, you're going to be very confused tonight when we get to the end of our message. Judges 19, verse number 1. The Bible says, And it came to pass in those days when there was no king in Israel that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of Mount Ephraim who took to him a concubine. That would have been the secondary wife, all right? Took unto him a concubine out of Bethlehem, Judah. And his concubine played the whore against him and went away from him unto her father's house to Bethlehem, Judah and was there four whole months. And her husband arose and went after her to speak friendly unto her and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and abode a couple of asses. And she brought him into her father's house. And when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him. And his father-in-law, the damsel's father, retained him, basically kept him overnight. And he abode within three days. So they did eat and drink and lodged there. And it came to pass on the fourth day when they arose early in the morning that he rose up to depart and the damsel's father said unto his son-in-law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread and afterward go your way. And they sat down and did eat and drink, both of them together, for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be very. And when the man rose up to depart, his father-in-law urged him, therefore he lodged there again. And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart. And the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee, and tarry until afternoon. And they did eat, both of them. And when the man rose up to depart, he and his concubine and his servant, his father-in-law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold now, the day draweth toward evening. I pray you, tarry all night. Behold, the day draweth to an end. Lodge here, that thine heart may be merry, and tomorrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home. Now, he had been there at this time for five and a half days. He went there to get his wife back just for a few minutes at the in-law's house and ended up staying five and a half days. And the Bible says in verse number 10, But the man would not tarry that night. It was time for him to go to the house, all right? But he rose up and departed and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem. And there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also with him. And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent. It means it's going in the nighttime now. And the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let us turn into this city of Jebusite and lodge in it. His master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger. This is not of the children of Israel. He said, Listen, it's not our custom to go somewhere that we've not been invited. We will pass over to Gibeah. And he said unto his servant, Come and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night in Gibeah or in Ramah. And they passed on and went their way, and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongeth to Benjamin. And they turned aside hither to go in and to lodge in Gibeah. And when he went in, he set him down in a street of the city, for there was no man that took them into his house to lodge in. Verse number 16, And behold, there came an old man from the work out of the field at even. That was probably about nine o'clock at night, which was also of Mount Ephraim. And he sojourned in Gibeah. But the men of the place were Benjamites. And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city. And the old man said, Whither goest thou, and whence comest thou? And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehem, Judah, toward the side of Mount Ephraim. From thence am I. And went to Bethlehem, Judah. He's talking about going to get his wife. But I am now going to the house of the Lord, and there is no man that receiveth me to house. Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses, and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servant. There is no want of anything. So he said, Listen, we're going to sleep in the street because we've got some hay, we've got some meal, and some provender for the donkeys. He said, The girl's going to be taken care of. We've got plenty of wine. We've got plenty of food. So he said, We're just going to camp out in the street tonight. Verse number 20, And the old man said, Peace be with thee. Howsoever, let all thy wants lie upon me, only lodge not in the street. He said, Please, I beg in God's name, don't stay outside. Here's wine. So he brought him into his house and gave provender unto the asses, and they washed their feet and did eat and drink. Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold the men of the city. Did you get that? The men of the city, certain sons of Belial, besought the house round about and beat at the door and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. All right? They're not talking about let's shake hands and sign Bibles. Genesis 4-1, the Bible says, And Adam knew his wife. She conceived and brought forth a child. That's what they're talking about. These people were sodomites. They were homosexuals. They were wicked. They were vile. They were perverts. And God called them sons of Belial. The word Belial means sons of the wicked one. These people were of the devil. And the Bible says in verse 23, And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly, seeing that this man is coming to mine house, do not disfolly. Behold, here is my daughter a maiden and his concubine. So he's offering this fella his virgin daughter and also this other guy's wife, all right? And his concubine, Them I will bring out now, and humble ye them. And do with them what seemeth good unto you. I'm going to tell you right now, there was nothing good in their mind, okay? But unto this man do not so vile a thing. Verse 45, But the men would not hearken to him, so the man took his concubine and brought her forth unto them, and they knew her and abused her all the night until the morning. And when the day began to spring, they let her go. Then came the woman in the dawning of the day and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was till it was light. Now here's the tragedy, verse 27, And the lord rose up in the morning and opened the doors of the house and went out to go his way. And behold, the woman, his concubine, was falling down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold. And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going, but none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up and got him unto his place. And when he was coming to his house, he took a knife and laid hold on his concubine and divided her, together with her bone, into twelve pieces and centered all the coast of Israel. And so it was that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day. Consider of it. Take advice and speak your minds. Tonight from Judges chapter number 19, I want to bring a message in my heart that I've entitled, Why Isn't Somebody Yelling Rape? Let's have a word of prayer. Father, I pray that You would help me tonight as I preach this message. I've never preached it. Lord, I've never one time since I've been an evangelist for the past four years ever even attempted to preach from this text. I do not know why You want me to, but Lord, I know this, the devil doesn't want me to. But Lord, You've asked me to tonight, and so I'm going to do my best to obey You. I pray that You would move me out of the way and clear my heart and clear my mind. You would right this very moment, fill me with the precious Holy Spirit of God, that I would be an open and a blessing and a vessel of channel and a blessing to these dear people tonight as I preach the Bible. Lord, I am nothing. I cannot nor do I want to preach this message without Your power tonight. And Lord, these people cannot listen to this message without Your power tonight. Use this portion of Scripture to burden us, I pray, in Jesus' name. Amen. If you are just kind of chronologically reading through your Bible for a year, and you came to judge at chapter number 19, if you did not have a historical context to what in the wide world was taking place, you would think to yourself, why in the world did the good Lord in heaven ever put such a despicable portion of Scripture in the Bible? Why is it beginning to talk about a young lady that the Bible said went a-whoring away for her husband, and a little bit later, a bunch of sodomites and perverts raped her and abused her and basically killed her, and she fell on the threshold of the door, and her insensitive husband told her to get up. She didn't get up. He cut her in 12 pieces and sent her to the 12 tribes of Israel. I'm going to be honest with you. To me, that's a pretty disgusting portion of Scripture. It seems to me that it would almost be like something that was from some type of comic strip. I was down at the Little Four Winds this afternoon, and I was having myself a cup of coffee, and I was studying my Bible, and I was poring over this portion of Scripture. And I was watching the news, and within 15 minutes, there was at least a case of three different young ladies that were killed by some insane masochist, by some idiot or by some redneck that decided one day he was going to get drunk and go out and kill some young lady. And it almost seems to me this is like some type of USA Today or some type of Newsweek or some type of illustrated bulletin somewhere that's on the news, and all of a sudden we get some update, and it almost seems like this could be something in a modern-day newspaper. And I think to myself, Lord, why in the world did You put that in the Bible? By way of an introduction, we are going to break this chapter into three simple parts because basically this chapter only consists of three things. In the first few verses, number one, it consists of what I call an unhappy marriage. The Bible says that here was a man who took a second wife, a concubine. That was legal back in those days. It's not today, so don't you get any bright ideas. I have a hard enough time taking care of the one I got. I don't need five more. All right? I'd be broke if I did. My wife loves to go to Goody's, and my wife loves to go to Walmart. I tell people all over this country, I bought myself a grave plot in the basement of Walmart so my wife will visit me about 14 times a week. Amen? But the truth of the matter is this. Here was a man that had a concubine, a second wife. And the Bible says that she went a-whoring. That's not Greg's talk. That's God's talk. The Bible says that she committed adultery, if you will, and she ran away, and it says that she went back to Bethlehem, Judah to her father's house. She got upset and her husband rolled her eyes and said, I'm out of here and ran back to Daddy's house. And so the Bible says here she was at her father's house, not for four days, but the Bible says for four months. Now, my wife is in Thailand right now, and she will be there for the next two and a half to three weeks, and she's already been gone for a week or two. And I'm telling you what I'm about to go stir-crazy. I wake up every morning as if it's a burnt-out volcano. I get about as frustrated as a bald-headed hippie, and I feel so confused as a termite in a yo-yo. I can't even pick up my dirty socks from the floor. I miss my wife. But here was a man whose wife left him, and she was gone for four cotton-picking months. Now, why did she leave? Because I believe that was an unhappy marriage. I believe that they didn't have the right kind of communication, because communication is everything in a marriage. Here was a man that did not meet his wife and so the Bible says she went off somewhere else and had her needs met by another man. Now, mister, I'm going to tell you something. You hear me, and you hear me well. Your worth can be told by the countenance on your wife's face. Did you hear me? Your worth will be told by the countenance on your wife's face. And our marriages and our homes are under attack like never before. And here was a man and here was a woman that had an unhappy marriage, and she ran off to Mama, and she ran off to Daddy. Now, this is all introduction, all right? I'm so glad we took the offering before I preach, because I might get sent out of a rail after I preach this message tonight. But anyhow, here was a lady that ran back to her parents. And I'm going to tell you something. I love my mother-in-law and I love my father-in-law. I love my mother and I love my daddy, but they're not going to tell me how to raise my family. They're not going to tell me what I should do in my marriage and what I should not do. And I think one of the deaths of marriage is when moms and dads get so heavily involved and they overbear their sons and they overbear their daughters and they say, you do thus and so. And here was a young lady that did not leave in Cleve. She went back to daddy's house. Well, daddy retained her. If I'd have been her daddy, I'd have said, hey, you go back to your husband. You let him take care of your problems because you're his problem now, not mine. And so the Bible says, finally, finally, this fella got enough gumption and he got enough gut to get on the mule and take a servant with him and he was finally going to speak to his wife. He was finally going to get her after all of this time. Now, the Bible says something very interesting. It said that when he arose, he went to go speak friendly unto his wife. You know what that tells me? That tells me when she left, he wasn't speaking friendly. That tells me when she left, he was being an ingrate. That tells me when she left, he was coming to the house and he was griping and bickering and complaining about what she was cooking and how come she wasn't putting it on so fast. And bless God Almighty, how come we're always late for church but yet you're the one out in the car, beep, beep, beep, come on, lady. And she's cleaning diapers and she's painting walls and she's picking up toys and she's tripping over this and tripping over that and she's trying to make sure the roast doesn't burn and you're outside saying, bless God Almighty, why don't you get in the car? I'm so sick and tired of you always being late. And so she comes out there, she's got a kid in his arm, she's got a kid in his arm, she's got a baby in the oven that she's fixing to drop in just a couple of months and I mean, she comes stumbling out there and she puts the kid there and you're still beating the horn. Honk, honk, honk. We're going to be late and Brother Lamont's going to wonder why we're not in the house of God all the time. And by the way, baby, I've got to sing a special this morning so why don't you hurry up? And she's sweating bullets, her hair's all falling down, her Maybelline's about to run off the side of her face, she's got lipstick right down in the middle of her teeth and she starts to get in the car and you pull off, rip her high heel shoe off and say, why are you always so late every time you get in the car? And here was a man that was not speaking friendly, he was speaking unfriendly to his wife. I was reading just the other day in the book of Proverbs and my devotions, you know what I came across in Proverbs 31? We fellows always love to hear preaching on Proverbs 31 because it talks about what the woman ought to be, but can I remind you what the last three verses of that portion of Scripture says? It says, praises her children, rises up and calleth her blessed, her husband also praises her. You want to have a happy home, mister, you praise your wife. You want to have a happy home, ma'am, you submit to your wife and you submit to your husband and you meet the needs of your husband, but here was a group of people that had an unhappy marriage. And the Bible says that finally he got there and he got to the house and when he went in, his father-in-law, the Bible says, was happy to meet him. They'd never met before. What a pleasant surprise. And when he went in, And so they met and they shook hands and they exchanged some nice things to say, I'm sure. And the Bible says that he was going to rise up early in the morning. It says that three times. He was going to rise up early in the morning, but the next verse says he'd been there for four days. So he'd been lollygagging, sitting around the house for four days, just kind of kicking up, eating popcorn, watching television and getting reacquainted with his wife since he's been gone for four months. And he was talking to mom-in-law and he was talking to daddy-in-law. So he got up on the fifth day and he got ready to leave and they got something to eat and his daddy said, Now listen, son. He said, I love you and everything. And he said, I've only known you for five days, but man, you certainly feel like family and you're welcome here any time you want to come. As a matter of fact, why don't you not even leave today? Hey, the day's already far spent, man. It'd take you forever to get back to the house. He said, Why don't you stay? And so after five and a half days, finally he put his foot down and he said, Listen, I just can't stay anymore. I've got to get out of here. And so the Bible says that they got on the donkey, they got the servant, he got his wife back, grabbed her by the hand, slipped that wedding ring back on her finger, spoke friendly to her, gave her a big wet kiss and said, Honey, let's go back to the house. And so here they go back to the house. The Bible says that as they were walking that the day was far spent and the night went away from them. Now, we divide this portion of Scripture into three parts, I see it. Number one, an unhappy marriage, but number two, what I call an unholy mess. These people finally got to a place where the Bible says the Benjamites were living. And we're going to learn a little bit about the Benjamites in a minute. They were more than Benjamites, they were sodomites, they were perverts. And the Bible says that they got into this town and they decided, Hey, let's just sleep in the street. Let's just get ourselves a little pillow, let's just lay out right here and let's just look at the stars. An old man came walking out of the woods one night or that night and he said, Fellas, he said, It probably wouldn't be a good idea for you to stay out here. He knew where he lived. He said, It probably won't be a good idea for you to stay out here tonight. And they said, Oh, we'll be all right. We got plenty of food. We got plenty of clothing. We got plenty of blankets and the Lord will take care of us. He said, Well, I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about somebody else. So he said, Won't you come in my house? The Bible says that he pressed them. They came in and they began to eat. All of a sudden, by the time they were getting ready to lay down, a knock came to the door. It wasn't the mailman and it wasn't the Avon lady. It was a bunch of sodomites that was coming after the man. Did you notice that? It didn't say he wanted the wife. He didn't want that pretty little concubine. He wanted the man. And the Bible says that men with men and working that which is unseen, they burned in their hearts one toward another and did not use the natural use of the woman, Romans chapter number 1. And so the Bible says these men began to beat on the door and they said, Hey, old man, why don't you bring that man, that man that came into your house tonight, bring him out that we may know him that we might commit immorality and ungodliness and homosexuality with this fellow. What a graphic passage of Scripture. And the Bible says, almost repeating Genesis chapter 19 when Lot went to the door, the old fellow went to the door and said, Fellas, don't you do this. I'll tell you what, I've got a virgin daughter. She's never been with anybody the Bible called her maiden. That was a virgin. I've got a virgin daughter and he's got a wife. All from the other fellow's wife. And he's got a wife. You take them and you do what seems good to them and there wasn't anything in their mind that was good. You do what seems good in your eyes but only leave this man alone. He said, Do not this wickedness. Now you think about something for a moment. In this portion of Scripture right here, number 1, he called the Sodomites sons of Belial which means sons of the devil. Then he told them Do not so wickedly. Then he said Do not this folly. And then he said Don't do such a vile thing. Four times in three verses God condemned Sodomites. You say, Well, Brother Locke, you don't need to preach too much on the homosexuals because I know some of them here at Memphis that meet together in a church. No, bless God, you know a bunch of perverts that meet together and call themselves a church. That's what you know. Because no professing homosexual is a born again Christian and you can take that to the bank. And my dear friend, I believe that they can progress in that sin for so long where the Bible says in Romans chapter 1 and verse 28 that God gave them up to a reprobate mind to do those things which are unseemly and dishonor their bodies. I believe with all of my heart that a homosexual can get saved by the grace of God. Because Paul said effeminate people shall not go to God's kingdom but he told those Corinthians and such were some of you. Meaning, there were some people in that congregation at Corinth that apparently at one time in their life had homosexual tendencies or they were sodomites but they were saved by the grace of God. So I believe that sodomites can be saved but if they protest in their sin God will give them up to a reprobate mind and they cannot get saved by the grace of God. So here's a bunch of reprobates at the door begging to have this man come out. But the Bible says that the concubine was ushered out. And ladies, excuse me for being very graphic tonight but the Bible uses the graphic language. It says that they knew her and abused her all the night. It wasn't three men. It probably wasn't even thirty men. It was probably somewhere around the neighborhood of maybe 130 to 150 because the Bible says that all the men in the city and it could have been more than that. It says that all night long they took this beautiful girl who was the husband who was the wife of this little fella that was inside the room. Now had I been that man you call it unspiritually if you want to but buddy I'd have came out with a King James Bible and a sawed off shotgun and had myself a time revival. I'll tell you that right now. But he was back in the house and he was probably getting himself a good night's sleep and he wasn't a bit worried about it and the Bible says that his wife was being used and abused and they let her go in the morning the Bible says. She was so weary. She was so hurt and they had hurt this poor girl and riddled her little body and to the point when she crawled back let me tell you what her royalty was said she crawled back to the house where her Lord was. She still wanted her husband. I don't know why she still wants a dirty bum after the way he just got through treating her sitting outside to a bunch of sodomites but anyhow she crawled back to the door the Bible says and when he woke up the next morning get this when he woke up the next morning he only spoke friendly to her for a while he got mean again so how do you know because the Bible says when he came out he saw her and he said get up or go in the house insensitive what insensitive one did to his wife's needs he said get up and he said none answered you know what he did he reached down and he picked her up and he put her on the ass the Bible says and he took her back to the house so number one this portion of Scripture is divided in an unhappy marriage and then number two in verses 25 or so it's divided into what I call the unholy mess but I want you to look if you would please at verse number 30 the last verse of this chapter the last verse of this portion of Scripture is what I give you an undeniable message he did this for a particular person here is an undeniable message he's trying to get across I want you to see what the Bible says as a matter of fact don't look at verse 30 I want you to look at verse number 28 he said unto her up let us be going but none answered the reason she didn't answer is because she was dead then the man took her upon an ass and the man rose up and got him unto his place so he went back to the house verse 29 and when he was coming to his house he took a knife now get this he took the knife and laid hold on his concubine and divided her together with her bones that means he chopped all the way through her bones for him divided her with her bones into 12 pieces and sent her into all the coasts of Israel there were 12 tribes so he cut his wife into 12 different pieces and sent a different body part to each one of the 12 tribes of Israel how would you like to get a UPS package like that in the mail on Monday morning I'll tell you what a shock that would be but look what the Bible says in verse number 30 and it was so that all that saw it not some but all that saw it they said there was no such deed done nor seen they'd never seen anything like this and they'd never heard of anything like this and none of these people had ever done anything like this the Bible says from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day consider of it take advice and speak your minds I like that last little phrase because tonight for the next few minutes I'm going to speak my mind about some things that are bothering me I'm going to speak my mind about some things that God has laid upon my heart if there is one indelible thought that has plagued me ever since I read this portion of Scripture it was this thought why didn't somebody stand up and help this young lady why didn't somebody jump up from behind a bush or from behind a wall and say rape rape rape you sodomites cannot have her you can kill me and do anything you jolly well please but why didn't somebody yell rape and help and rescue this young lady and tonight I'm going to say Isaiah chapter 58 verse number 1 God said cry aloud lift up thy voice like a trumpet and show my people their sins and I think it's high time that we get some blood born again Bible believing holy ghost filled sin hating devil condemning God loving and righteous living people that will stand up and will say rape rape rape because friend we're being raped in America I mean number 1 I want you to see tonight our country is being raped 200 years ago we're probably one of the youngest nations in America but we've been the most godly we have been the most blessed and if you think our nation was founded by a bunch of liberals you're dumb as a box of rocks our nation was founded by men and women that loved God our nation was founded by men and women that loved the Bible but it's interesting to me you let a young person go to public school and they read some type of history book and it makes George Washington sound like he's a sodomite and it makes Abraham Lincoln sound like he was some kind of communist but friend I want to have you know that every single person that signed the Declaration of Independence except 2 were born again Christians and the 2 men that weren't saved were more moral than most independent Baptists that I meet our country was founded on principles of the word of God and on principles of morality somebody asked me not long ago they said Brother Locke what do you think about American Christianity I said I think it's far more American than it is Christian that's for sure and I'm going to tell you something my dear friend our country is being raped there's 3 things our country's being raped about and we need to scream about it and talk about it tonight number 1 I'm going to be very graphic first of all our country's being raped by sex everywhere you look we are living in an adulterous and a fornicating and an immoral society you can't even go down to the co-op and buy a bag of corn feed without some naked lady's picture being all over the front of it every time you go to Kroger's every time you go to Walmart every time you go to some store you got to pass a rack of magazines and every time you look around there's some half naked lady or almost all naked lady right there on the front of that magazine and a man can't even hardly go through a magazine racking him all because he's not allowed to see in that mess and I'm telling you the porno shops and this that and the other I was getting down on 240 today and I noticed some fantasy land store down there that's what it is a fantasy land is what it is a wicked vile place and we got such a pornographic society everybody's thinking about sex and they're thinking about this and they're you can't even turn the TV on without them talking about sex for 5 minutes I mean we are living in a generation of people that are immoral and all they think about is what they can get by way of immorality and God my dear friend will judge a nation that goes that far into wickedness and our country is being raped by sex I'll tell you something there used to be a day by the way I'm only 24 year old wet behind the ear green thumb runny skinny little evangelist so it wasn't in my day but I hear there was a day years ago when if a young person was to grow up and get married and a girl could actually wear a white wedding dress that was something honorable when a girl and a young man could date for a while and they were virgins when they got married that was something people looked upon and they said man there are two young people that love God and keep themselves pure but it's not that way anymore they think you're old fashioned phony baloney funny duddy if you do that now but I'm going to remind you what the Bible says in Hebrews 13 4 marriage is honorable in all that means within the bounds of marriage sex is a godly thing it's a righteous thing but at the end of that verse bless God it says whoremongers and adulterers God will judge you say well I'll play around all I good and well please and I don't care what that verse says that's fine I don't care what you say friend because God will judge you he said so and so we've got a generation of people that say well it's just common law of marriage it might be common law of the man but it's an abomination of almighty God I'll tell you that right now and friend we are living in a nation that has been raped and that has been inundated and that has been infiltrated with immorality and people love it you know why people in Baptist churches get mad when a preacher gets up when he preaches on sexuality because their mind is filled with it because all they can think about is pornographic thoughts hey it used to be just men that were ungodly and wicked minded it's not anymore now ladies are that way I mean now it just seems that people are nothing more than a bunch of animals groping around for their next victim friend we're living in a nation we're living in a country that at one time was moral that at one time was godly but those times are past and we're living around a bunch of reprobates friend our nation has been raped by sexuality I mean every time you turn the television on every time you turn on the radio you say well I'll bet you I can at least watch one major prime time show that doesn't talk about it if you can name me one just one show on prime time television that sometimes does not mention sex or sometimes does not mention immorality or sometimes does not allude to immorality or infidelity or adultery or somebody shacking up I sure wish you could show me one but I guarantee you won't be able to think of one even the kiddos cartoons nowadays are full of adultery we live in a day and it's just like well brother life if man I'll tell you if it don't work with this wife just man drop her and bless god go out and get you another one hey that might be the law of the land but friend that's ungodly because god said there should be one man for one woman and one woman for one man and he didn't say anything about running this that and the other and whore hopping and jumping this person and jumping that person like a bunch of frogs on lily pads hey this is gospel truth if you don't believe me you can talk to the man that told me in Shelby North Carolina right in this very moment there's a Baptist church in Shelby North Carolina it is not independent it is not fundamental and for all counts that I care about it's a satanic church but they call themselves Baptist every other month every other month in North Carolina in this so-called Baptist church they have an offering basket at the back of the auditorium and it is not for money it is full of house keys guess what you do at the end of the service of every other month you walk back and you pick up a house key and the house key you pick up with a name on it is the person's spouse that you go home with that night in a Baptist church in North Carolina our country our churches and our homes are sexually minded we've got young people all over this country now that are sexually active hey when third graders get passed out condoms in school friends you know this country has gone a long way down the road to hell and I think it's time that somebody stands up and says our nation is being raped by the God of immorality but not only is our nation being raped by sex I want you to see number two our nation has been raped by sports did you know that the Roman Empire before it fell it had two things that was the fall of the Roman Empire you know what it was an over emphasis on immorality and an over emphasis on the gladiator games or what we would call today sports I am not against sports but I am against having sports in the wrong place I am against having sports take precedence over the house of God I am against having sports take precedence over letting Christ be first and preeminent and dominant in our lives and I'm going to tell you something our country has gone sports nuts I was preaching in the independent Baptist church last Sunday I don't know anything about football and basketball I don't know anything about it but I'm going to tell you something I was preaching one day on Superbowl Sunday and I was just preaching about I said how many are making a commitment to come up tonight after the service the preacher said brother why don't you realize tonight is Superbowl and I said what's that supposed to mean he said we're going to have a little bit of a different type of service he said we're going to start a little bit earlier and I want you to preach a little bit shorter now friend it's a pretty bad thing in America when you've got to alter your church services so people can get home and watch the Superbowl let's not turn a stick and VCR on and tape it if you want to but come to the house of God and get revived I'm going to tell you how we know America is going downhill when one basketball player can make more than a year than Bill Clinton can make in a lifetime being president when you can turn on TV and one man in one year can make billions and billions and billions of dollars but we can't even touch the national debt you know we've gone overhead and over our heels in sports you walk into the average young person's room they don't have one Bible verse in the room you walk in the average young person's room they got sports heroes here and sports heroes there and sports heroes there and they've not read their Bible in three weeks and they say but over the last I want to be like Mike because Michael Jordan can jump ten feet in the air well Jesus jumped ten feet and bless God he kept on going I'd much rather be like Jesus than like Michael Jordan I'll say that right now and we have gone sports crazy in America I mean with baseball with basketball with hockey with football and we got the Lions the Tigers the Bears oh my and we got the killers and this that and the other and we love to see blood and we love to see gore and then we just want to see somebody get their sick and we have gone sports crazy in America now friend if you think this message is hard to hear then bless God you ought to get up here and try to preach it I'll say that right now but I'm going to tell you something we have gone head over heels over sex and over sports now I'm a golfer I really enjoy golf I don't think there's anything wrong with going out playing golf a couple times a week or one time a week something like that as long as you don't got these swanky plates that cost you $250 for a green fee or something like that these $15 golf balls but I enjoy playing golf that's about the only thing I enjoy doing outside of preaching I'm just not much of a sports person I don't have anything wrong with boys and girls playing tee ball this that and the other I don't have anything wrong with anybody playing football I could care less about NASCAR somebody says brother what do you think about racing here's my theology on racing if I'm going to get in a car and drive 500 miles bless God I do not want to get out where I got in alright I don't want to get down the road somewhere I don't want to get out at the same cotton picking checking flag that I started at after I went 500 miles now I'm an evangelist friend when I go 500 miles bless God I'm going somewhere and I'm going to preach I'm not going in a circle so people can scream rant and rave and say hey Budweiser won the race alright I'm not worried about that but we have gone sports crazy in America but you know what's interesting to me do you know when all the football games are all the baseball games are all the basketball games are all the hockey games are you know what all the races are they're always on Sunday they always have the big tournaments on Sunday you say well they don't know you're stupid if you believe that you better believe they know they're doing everything they cotton picking good and well pleased to get people out of the house of God I mean the devil doesn't want people in God's house I mean he's going to do everything he can to keep people out of God's house and he's going to give them every excuse and every avenue and every opportunity to keep away from the house of God and he's used something simple like sports to do it I got a good evangelist friend of mine he's been in evangelism for 40 years as a matter of fact it's Dr. Ron Comfort the man that founded the college where I went to school I picked Dr. Comfort's brains a million times as he told me once he told me 15 times the story one night I don't remember where it was but he said he was preaching pastor he was preaching in a large independent Baptist church this independent Baptist church as many of them do had their own Christian school had a gymnasium and a school auditorium just right across the parking lot he said on Friday night of the meeting usually on Friday night he probably preached on prophecy he had he said they had a fairly good crowd but he could notice he noticed it was down and I'm going to tell you why it was down while he was preaching in the church auditorium the Christian school that was under that church just right across the parking lot was having a basketball tournament doing revival meetings I'm telling you we've gone sports crazy but not only have we worshipped the God of sex and not only have we worshipped and been raped by the God of sports but we've also been raped by the God of slothfulness the average Baptist loves to sleep in on Sunday morning until the sun warms their feet and they don't care anything about Sunday school they might be happy and they might get lucky if they get to Sunday morning very rarely do you ever see them on Sunday night and it would almost be a miracle like the crossing of the Red Sea if you ever seen them on prayer meeting somebody wants Sunday morning and I've said that the Sunday morning crowd proves the popularity of the church the Sunday night crowd proves the popularity of the preacher and the Wednesday night crowd proves the popularity of Jesus and he's not real popular in most of the churches I preach in and friend I'm telling you what's the truth we have got a bunch of slothful people around America now I used to think they were just outside the church but boy when I started preaching evangelism my eyes were open we got a bunch of lazy Baptists that sit around and suck their thumbs and let the world die and go to hell and the preacher gets up and rants and raves hey we need workers we need teachers we need help and the average Baptist sits there and says well he's not talking to me he's talking to the other person and I'm telling you what my dear friend we do need workers we do need teachers we do need help and we don't need lazy Christians we got enough of them running around now I was just in Los Angeles and I won't tell you it made me sick to walk up down the streets now you think I'm you think I'm just kind of playing around and I'm just kind of messing around just kind of making things up no I would walk on the streets of Los Angeles and there would be 20 people standing up against the wall in broad daylight with the police officers driving up and down and every one of them would be either smoking or ingesting crack cocaine into their body and that police officer didn't do one thing I mean I would walk right up to them I mean these harlots walking around the street with hands full of contraceptives I've seen this one black girl she could not have been more than 95 pounds she was obviously strung out on cocaine she had little old short hair she had no shoes and socks on she probably sold them and she had on sandwich bags she had plastic clear sandwich bags wrapped on her feet tied around with rubber bands walking around with a handful of contraceptives trying to steal her body for just a little bit of money and the police didn't do one thing about it but you know what bothered me all these people sitting out in the streets all these people laying around the streets white people black people hispanic people big people little people there are six rescue missions within a half a mile of one another and most of them are only there so people can eat and sleep because people don't want to be told what to do in the day and age in which we live every one of them people can get out there and get a job every last one of them they're already out there selling drugs they're already out there making a mess and writing over everything and graffiti and being ganged every one of them could go out and get a job but none of them want to you know why because they're lazy they expect the government to take care of them and guess what the government's doing it the government giving exactly what they want I call it the welfare God mentality God you owe me something and I'm going to tell you right now big boy God don't owe you a dime he doesn't owe you anything he doesn't owe me anything we better even be glad he loved us enough to save us by his mercy and grace because we all ought to be in a devil's hell right now and the apostle Paul said if a man won't work neither should he eat now if we live by that in America we'll either have a bunch of people working or a bunch of people starving bless God one or the other now friend I'm telling you what the truth we have got a God that is raping our country called slothfulness you read the book of Proverbs and there's at least twenty verses in the book of Proverbs that deals with lazy people he says go to the app now slugger to consider a ways and be wise friend we've been raped by God of slothfulness laziness just sitting around lollygagging not doing anything whatsoever letting the kids play Nintendo four or five six hours a day I preach in a place called Reformers Unanimous about a month ago it's a Christ centered addictions program in Rockford Illinois a very big old church about six hundred fifty seven hundred people something like that and they got a an addictions ministry on Friday night for people that are addicted for people that are addicted to anything I mean pornography gambling you name it drugs alcohol anything you can imagine that somebody would be an addict to these people were there and there was probably about a hundred and twenty of them and I preached the message that I'll probably preach sometime this week but I preached the message to these people and you know what amazed me there was a young man there and there was only a hundred and sixty eight hours in a week there was a young man there I say he was there he had just recently left he had been in the program for over a year there was a young man there pastor he was about nineteen years old he was addicted to video games he played seventy five hours of video games seventy five hours that's like three complete full non sleeping days of sitting around in front of a voodoo playing video games and I'm telling you we've got a bunch of lazy people in America lazy hey but why are you preaching this message tonight? well because God laid upon my heart and I think somebody needs to stand up and say right our country is being raved but number two I believe our churches are being raved and number three I think our churches are a mess for three simple reasons number one I think our churches are being raped first of all by emotionalism now you hear me and you hear me well you cannot have the spirit of God without some emotion but you can't have emotion without the spirit of God and a good telltale sign of that is what's going on tonight in Pensacola Florida in Brownsville Texas and in Toronto Canada where they're jumping around barking like dogs meowing like cats crawling around like a bunch of wild men kicking up sawdust pulling the chandeliers out of the wall and saying good wiggly glowing at God look what we're doing for Jesus you say well brother you ought not be too hard on them charismatic people that go crazy because they're of the spirit you better believe it but they're of the wrong spirit I'll tell you that right now because friend when you come into contact with Almighty God you won't be jumping around doing the ooga booga and the fancy waltz and this that and the other jumping around acting like a blooming fool and talking about bing bang boom and Yamaha Kawasaki Suzuki and speaking in some unknown tongue hey friend when God comes on you you'll get on your face and grovel in conviction and I'm telling you we are being raped by emotionalism what I mean by that is this people come to church and they look real emotional they look real spiritual they go out on Monday morning and live like the cotton-picking devil now bless God if it's good enough to shout about on Sunday then it's good enough to live for on Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday by the way I preach like this everywhere I go whether you shout or pout it don't make any difference to me I got enough just enough money in my truck to get me back to Nashville all right if you're ready to run me out tonight let's go but truth of matters is we are as a nation and we are as churches being raped and nobody's even saying anything about it preachers are just letting it go and preachers are just letting it slide and we are being raped by emotionalism but number two we're being raped by educationalism people think they can get smarter than God you got these guys that are higher critics we're theologians brother Locke and we've studied the Greek and we've studied the Hebrew and we've studied about everything and we came up with the idea that God really didn't mean that in his word I'd rather be some old backwoods hillbilly barefooted ignorant fool that knows God than some crazy theologian that tries to disprove his belief and educationalism is ruining our churches bless God I think every person who's called a preacher ought to go to Bible college I think people ought to have I think we ought to have education I've got a degree bless God I've got one but if that degree is something that causes me to doubt the Word of God they can have their stinking degree they can burn the thing friend I want the power of God on my life you know we're living in such a day when people go to seminaries down there and they come out believing less than they did when they went in people go to Detroit Baptist seminary or people go to Dallas Theological Seminary so y'all not name names well Jesus did so I will they go to these different places and they go in and they believe something they come out don't even believe in the virgin birth they don't even believe in the inspiration of the Bible they don't even believe in the in the substitutionary death of Christ they don't believe in a literal resurrection they don't believe in a literal premillennial coming of Christ they don't believe in anything anymore we're being raped by educationalism these people think they can get so smart they're smarter than God I've got news for you there's never been a man that's smarter than God God at his worst is better than man at his very best and our churches friend are being raped by educationalism people wanting the deep things and friend I've been saved for a good time now and I've been reading my Bible a lot and I've been preaching all over this country but I'll tell you something I can't handle some of the deep things of God I'm a little shallow minded and I still need to get some of them shallow things in my heart I still have trouble with John 3 16 every now and then I'll be honest with you I still have trouble with Jesus way up John 11 35 I don't understand all the ramifications of that and I'm not going to get in the deep sovereignty of God and predestination and this that and the other and all the dispensations and all that kind of stuff hey I will stay away from that friend I'm still trying to chew on some of the things I've got to learn now from God's Word and I'm not worried about getting in the pulpit and sounding all articulate that's pretty obvious by what I'm preaching tonight I'm not really worried about getting in the pulpit and letting everybody see me and say oh what a great man of God he is Tommy Wright I'm not worried about being some great man of God and some deep theologian I just want to be faithful to the book I just want to be faithful to the book I believe in education now there are some people that go on the opposite end of that stick and they don't believe you should have any education whatsoever and it shows in everything they say and everything they do I was listening to this wind sucking preacher on the radio about six months ago you know the wind sucker is you probably have around Tennessee and he was on it and the God it's like he's dying you know like a whale or something I mean he's just up there preaching just sucking at it and he's going at it and here's what he said he said bless God I'm an ignorant preacher and I'm going to pray and I'm going to get ignorant every day and I thought whoo God's answering your prayer a little bit quicker than you want him to amen but now we're being raped by emotionalism we're being raped by educationalism now here's the big one we're being raped in our churches by entertainment we're being raped we've got this idea pastor that we come to church to have a good time we got this idea that we come to church so we can feel good I'm going to tell you something you come to church to get the devil preached out of you while you come to church you know why I come to church to get the devil preached out of me you say as an evangelist you need the devil preached out of you you better believe it I like it when an old-fashioned preacher gets up and steps all over my toes and I got to come to the next service with steel-toed shoes on and he steps right through them and he sets my soul on fire and he gets me to thinking and he gets me into old-fashioned conviction and I run down an altar and get on my face and say oh God help me but we got the idea you're supposed to come to church and entertain everybody we got the idea that you come to church so we can worship one another I'm going to tell you what our problem in fundamentalism is here according to the Bible we're supposed to worship God and appreciate man but fundamentalists have been appreciating God and worshiping man far too long I'm not interested in impressing you this week I'm interested in impacting you you dear singers thank God for you I appreciate every song you've sung but you don't have to come to this place and think to yourself oh man what are they going to think about me if I sing who gives a flip what's God going to think about you when you're singing you don't come here to entertain friends you come here to impress almighty God and to help and to encourage the saints and we got these churches I'm talking about independent Baptist churches man these ladies get up there and they got these little old tights on and they get up there and look like Gene Simmons and they're doing all this little dancing all this little mass and jumping around and the preacher's up there tapping his foot and they're having themselves a good old jolly time and God ain't worth a million miles around that crazy place and I'll tell you something friend we got the place where we think we got to entertain everybody I was up at Willow Creek not too long ago where old Bill Hybels is he's got that church man they got 15 20,000 people on Sunday morning you say whoa he must be doing something right there's no crosses there's no pulpit there's no Bible verses on the wall and there's no baptistry he sits on a bar stool he crosses his legs he puts on a little lapel mic doesn't even wear a tie and he talks to the people for a little while then when he gets through talking he's got a drama team that comes out and dances around a little bit and does this that and the other and shows off for a while and then they give an invitation and they say they have people saved and baptized and join the church I don't know how in the world you can watch some woman get up there and shut her stuff and get saved by the grace of God because there's always only been one message that convicts sinners and that's the old fashioned gospel and we've got to a place nowadays where we think we've got to stoop to the world's message and entertain everybody we don't have to entertain people all we've got to do is please God stay straight with God keep our own noses clean and God will take care of the results God will take care of the congregation himself now I realize I've preached over my time tonight so let me give you this last one we're going to be through number one I believe our country is being raped number two I believe our churches are being raped but number three I think our children are being raped we are raising children in the day and age in which we live in a crooked and a perverse and a vile and a wicked wicked generation but I've got news for you parents I am not one but I did grow up in a children's home and I know what it's like to have a busted up family and all this kind of stuff but I'm going to tell you something you can still raise your kids to serve God in this wicked world you can still love your raise your kids to love the old King James Bible you can still raise your kids to love the local church and to love the things of God to be saved at an early age we can still raise boys and girls to serve God even in this wicked crooked perverse generation you know why the devil is doing his dead level best to kill our children to rape our children and have them so wicked and vile I'll tell you why because they are the future church members of this church they are the future fundamentalists they are the future politicians across the world and he wants to do his dead level best to corrupt their minds and he's corrupting them three ways you say oh boy three more points well I'm not going to preach on all of them I'm just going to give them to you number one he's corrupting them through their music number two he's corrupting them through their movies and number three he's corrupting them through materialism we've taught our kids that you've got to have everything just give them everything they want man don't spank them man don't stand them in the corner man by the way if you get caught spanking your kids the D.H.R. will call you yeah but when their kids grow up and raise hell and serve the devil they wonder what in the world went wrong I'll tell you what went wrong spare the rod and spoil the child and for 16 years of my life I was spoiled and stunk like a rotten egg because my mama never spanked me and that's why I was in the court six different times that's why I was a dope head that's why I drank that's why I ran around and acted like a blooming fool and that's why I spent four years in a children's home without my friends without my fortune without my family without my fame that's exactly why because I had everything handed to me on a silver platter and I'm telling you our little children are being raped by the music that they listen to and I hear moms and dads all over this country they say well I just let them have their own room and they have their own stereo system in the room and they have their own TV and their VCR I'm not worried about that I'm not going to just over run and listen to everything my kids listen to it's their room yeah but it's your kid and bless God it's your house you better know what your kids are listening to you better know what your kids are watching you say well you're making me mad you think you're mad now wait five more minutes the truth of the matter is this my dear friend we are living in a day and age when mom and dads are taking no responsibility whatsoever and they're letting Johnny go where he wants to go and Susie go where they want to go and they say well you just be home by 12 o'clock let me ask you a question what are they doing for the next two hours of their life you say well my kid would never do something like that and if you believe that mess you ought to sue your brain for non support you're crazy you would have done the exact same thing if your mom and daddy let you stay out that late hey friend you give your flesh an inch and it will take a cut and tick and mouth every single time I'm telling you we are raising a generation of young people that know nothing about morals that know nothing about old-fashioned purity that know nothing about the Bible that know nothing about the virginity that know nothing about the things of almighty God and our children are being raped by what they're listening to by what they're watching we think Hollywood just great big glamorous thing I was just there preaching last week there's nothing glamorous about it if you think it's glamorous to walk by and see somebody smoking a crack pipe and the next turn around you see some old wino with vomit all over the street and that's the gospel truth you see that walking around you see people getting shot and this that and the other and you see people using these little port-a-johns for about 30 or 40 minutes at a time men and women both going in them together smoking crack cocaine and some of them dying and falling out right in the middle of the street you think that's Hollywood and you think that's funny that's real Hollywood friend but on Hollywood they make it so glamorous and they make it so beautiful you better be careful what you and your family watch in your house I did not say you got to beat the TV in with a baseball bat it may be a good idea but I didn't say you had to now my wife and I we have a 40-foot travel trailer we don't have a television but we do have one of them little deals that just plays the just plays the little VCR tape I don't have anything wrong with that you can watch TV but I have figured out nowadays the best thing on TV is that little knob that turns it off because we have fallen down and we have began to worship the one-eyed monster we get on our knees and we put our arms around that thing I double dog dare you to go home tonight I double dog dare you to go to your house and get your kids and get your wife and get on your knees in front of that TV and say TV you've helped me to love my wife more you've helped my wife to submit to me and say TV you've helped me to be a better cook and be a better mama you've helped my boys to love God and TV you've helped my little daughter to know what it is to be pure and to be righteous you ain't got enough God to go to the house and do that because you know your stinking TV never taught you any of that whatsoever every time they get on that blaspheme God and they curse God and curse the Bible and spit on God you say well what about these little comedy shows you know and these little shows that come on they don't cuss and they don't talk about wickedness and ungodliness you know most of those sitcoms most of those for the most part are clean but you know what the biggest problem is they show happy life independent of God they show that people can be happy and people can live in pleasure and people can have fun without God and that's not real life because people without God have a vacuum inside of them and that vacuum is shaped like one thing it's shaped like Almighty God they pull in sex it doesn't fill it they pull in all kind of wickedness it doesn't fill it they pull in Hollywood they pull in pleasure they pull in money they pull in dope they pull in drugs they pull in alcohol they pull in everything but it just keeps going and going and going through going through going through and until they get God there will be no satisfaction in that vacuum there will be no satisfaction in that life whatsoever so please parents I beg in God's name be careful what you're watching be careful what your children are watching and tonight in this portion of scripture here was a man that took his dead wife chopped her up into 12 different pieces and put her in the mail and sent her to the 12 tribes division and the Bible says when they got it they were shocked they said they'd never seen anything like that they never heard anything like that before in their life and the Bible says it shocked their soft balls and I'm going to tell you something with this I'm through we need something in America to shock us back in reality we have got so far out in our thinking we have got so far away from God so far away from the Bible so far away from the local church and so far away from having real true revival we think exactly like the world and we're going to have to have God do something desperate to shock us back into reality and tonight I ask the question why isn't somebody yelling rape your heads are bowed your eyes are closed please there's no one looking and no one talking as our instruments are coming here's what I want to say before I ask any questions you know my heart I know we only met yesterday but you know my heart I do not preach tonight to be mean I try to preach the best I can firm and solid on the Bible but I want to preach the truth in love and it just concerns me some of the things that I see across America and hey if it concerns a little 24 year old preacher it ought to concern some of you parents a whole lot it ought to burden you it ought to make you mister want to fall on your face and have family altars and family devotions with your dear sweet wife and your children every day because you know what as much as I preach to kids and as much as I preach to the ladies about their responsibility can I remind you mister that according to God's word you're the priest of your home you're the pastor if you will you're the leader you're the shepherd of your home the church and the Christian school is not supposed to raise your kids you are they're just to help and tonight we need some watchman to stand on the wall and scream out oh God give us revival God forgive us for the way that we've been running our families forgive us for letting the country die and go to hell in a handbasket God help us to scream out race help us to let the world know that it's dying and going to hell may we give the message and quit being so slothful and quit being so lazy I want everybody to stand tonight please there's no one looking there's no one talking but everyone standing I'm not going to have you raise your hand but this is what I'm going to do I'm talking to young people I'm talking to fathers I'm talking to mothers I'm talking to husbands and wives I'm talking to single people I'm talking to everybody in this room tonight if God's spirit spoke to your heart you know you ought to be more of a prayer for your family you've not been the witness and you've not had the burden and the vision for what God can and wants to do in America you've not had that burden but yet God spoke to your heart tonight in this message I do not know what area it was my dear friend I don't know what God told you but if God spoke to your heart tonight right now right now I want you to step out of your place I want you to come and get on your face before God and say God tonight help my family God tonight help our church help our children God give us right now you step out of your place God bless these many that are coming from all over the auditorium just come tonight friend don't you worry about anybody just swallow your pride and just come oh yeah you can do business with God in your seat but I believe it really means something to step out and to come and get on your face God bless you God bless you God bless you ma'am God bless these that are coming brother I think we're just going to have some playing tonight no singing just some playing tonight let God's people deal with God the way that they should the pianists they all can continue to play there'll just be no singing just be some music tonight hey perhaps there's some families that need to play together maybe there's some husbands and wives that need to play together I'll tell you one thing if my wife was here tonight I'd get on my sweet face in front of my dear sweet wife and I'd say honey oh God I'm sorry I've not been the husband I need to be baby I'm sorry I've not loved you the way that I should and done everything for you the way that I should and I've not been insensitive to your needs the way that I should and oh honey please forgive me God forgive you friend tonight we need revival you take just as long as this altar as you need to because God is working in the hearts and lives of these people
