Uncompromising holiness. Do you have it? You know, the least emphasized work of the Holy Spirit today is conviction of sin. We want the blessings, we want the fruit, we want the joy. Holiness to the Lord. You see, your actions are supposed to be holy to the Lord. Your thoughts are supposed to be holy to the Lord. Your heart is supposed to be holy to the Lord. Your life is supposed to be holy to the Lord. Your absolutely everything is supposed to be holy to the Lord. We're comfortable with sin. Nobody commits adultery anymore, they're just having an affair. There are no fornicators, they're just having premarital sex. Nobody's guilty anymore. Oh, you don't preach condemnation, dear God. I mean, aren't you burdened enough with taxation and the possibility of invasion of Russia and other things? But when it comes down to the issue of dealing with this little thing in here that we call the heart of man, there is only one answer to the problem, and that is the answer of the cross of Jesus Christ. You see, without holiness, the Bible says, no one shall see the Lord. And so holiness must fill the places where sin used to fill. I mean, if you used to spend your time doing ungodly things, now you need to spend your time doing godly things. And so it's not just merely repenting, but replacing those sins with holiness. The sacrifice of God out of a broken and a contrite heart, a broken spirit, and a contrite heart of God, that will not be despised. That's so very seldom real in our lives, is it? Brokenness? You know, we've got used to sin. We're used to it. People can sin without any fear anymore. How many Christians do you think read the Bible more than they watch television, more than they watch their favorite television shows? How many Christians do you think love the Bible, in God's word, more than they love the TV? And so can you endure iniquity today, or can you say with me, holiness to the Lord? Now, Psalms 101.3 says, I will set nothing wicked before my eyes. I hate the works of those who fall away. It shall not cling to me. I mean, no wonder we Christians sin so much, because we let sin become our entertainment. Sin has become our entertainment, that's why it's on TV. I mean, what exactly do you allow to come into your own homes? What do you allow to come into the ears of your children? What do you set before your eyes? Amos 5.14-15 says, seek good and not evil. Now, I think that is saying, turn off the TV and seek God in prayer. Search me, O God. Isn't that something? Dare you say that tonight? Brave as you are, secure as you are, spiritual as you are, satisfied as you are? You don't sin because you have to, you sin because you want to. You sin in your sin. You can't have indwelling sin and the indwelling Christ. He won't stay where there's impurity. He won't stay where there's pride. He won't stay where there's greed. He won't stay where there's love. You're trying to make Christ accommodate himself to your lifestyle. He says, no. And how many people, I wonder, can come to church every single week? Maybe they've grown up in church and they come every week, and they can go out into the world and fit right in. No problem fitting in, they're accepted by the world. But I tell you what, if we truly start worshipping God, we wouldn't expect to be accepted by anyone in this fallen world.
