C.R. Hudson

C.R. Hudson (June 19, 1885 – October 8, 1953) was an American preacher and agriculturalist whose ministry contributed to the Churches of Christ in the early 20th century, blending gospel proclamation with practical community service. Born in Daviess County, Kentucky, to James Hudson and Mary Elizabeth Hudson, he graduated from Kentucky University in 1906 and pursued further studies at the University of Kentucky. Converted in his youth, he began preaching within the Restoration Movement, emphasizing New Testament Christianity and personal faith. Hudson’s preaching career included serving churches in Kentucky and North Carolina, notably as an evangelist and minister in Durham, where he also worked as a state chemist and seed analyst for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture from 1910 until his death.
