Joel Rosenberg

Joel C. Rosenberg (1967–) is an American-Israeli evangelical Christian whose multifaceted career as a preacher, New York Times bestselling author, and founder of The Joshua Fund has made him a significant voice in contemporary Christianity. Born near Rochester, New York, to a Jewish father and a Gentile mother of Methodist descent, Rosenberg grew up in Fairport, New York, after his agnostic parents became born-again Christians in 1973. At 17, he embraced faith as a Messianic Jew, later graduating from Syracuse University in 1988 with a BFA in film drama. Married to Lynn since 1990, with whom he has four sons—Caleb, Jacob, Jonah, and Noah—he shifted from a political career, including work with Rush Limbaugh and Israeli leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu, to full-time ministry and writing after 2000, eventually settling in Jerusalem in 2014. Rosenberg’s preaching ministry intertwines with his roles as a speaker and leader of The Joshua Fund, a Christian Zionist organization he founded in 2006 to bless Israel and its neighbors. While not a traditional pastor, he preaches globally, addressing Bible prophecy, Middle Eastern events, and Christian living, drawing from his 16 novels—like The Ezekiel Option (Gold Medallion winner)—and five nonfiction books, including Epicenter. His messages, often delivered at conferences like the Epicenter Prayer Summit, reflect dispensationalist theology and a focus on scriptural application to current events. As editor-in-chief of All Israel News and All Arab News, and a frequent media commentator, Rosenberg’s influence extends beyond the pulpit, shaping evangelical thought with nearly 5 million books sold by 2025.
