Alternative Medicine—the Biblical Perspective (Part 2)
Mose Stoltzfus

Mose Stoltzfus (1946–2020) was an American preacher and minister within the Anabaptist tradition, known for his significant contributions to Charity Christian Fellowship and Ephrata Christian Fellowship in Pennsylvania. Born on April 12, 1946, in Leola, Pennsylvania, to Benjamin and Emma Stoltzfus, he grew up in a conservative Mennonite family with eight siblings. Converted at a young age, he initially pursued a career in business, founding and owning Denver Cold Storage in Denver, Pennsylvania, and partnering in Denver Wholesale Foods in Ephrata. In 1972, he married Rhoda Mae Zook, and they had one son, Myron, who later married Lisa and gave them seven grandchildren. Stoltzfus’s preaching career began with his ordination as a minister at Charity Christian Fellowship, which he co-founded in 1982 alongside Denny Kenaston with a vision for a revived, Christ-centered church. His ministry expanded as he traveled widely, preaching at churches, revival meetings, and conferences across the United States, Bolivia, Canada, and Germany. Known as "Preacher Mose," he was instrumental in planting Ephrata Christian Fellowship, where he served as an elder until his death. His sermons, preserved by Ephrata Ministries’ Gospel Tape Ministry, emphasized spiritual passion and biblical truth. Stoltzfus died on December 6, 2020, following a brief illness, and was buried after a funeral service at Ephrata Christian Fellowship on December 12, leaving a legacy as a dedicated preacher and church leader.

Good for us to be gathered together last night and again tonight. And our desire is to be here for the love of the truth and to expose evil and let people see clearly, open their eyes to see clearly what is truth and what is evil in our time. I'd just like to read 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 at the beginning here. 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering up together unto him, that ye be not soon troubled in mind or shaken in mind or be troubled neither by spirit nor by word nor by letter as from us as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Remember ye not that when I was with you I told you these things, and now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work, only he who now letteth will let until he be taken out of the way, and then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. Even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. For this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie, that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the spirit and belief of the truth, whereunto he called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God, even our Father, which hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work. Shall we bow our heads for prayer? Our great Father and Lord Jesus Christ, we come to you this evening's hour again and thank you for the awesome word of God. And this is a portion of scripture we recognize is spoken to us in our time, in our day, that we know that the coming of the Lord soon doth nigh, and we are beset with great deceiving times, when there are many coming in the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish. And the reason for this is because there are so many people who do not love the truth but have pleasure in unrighteousness. And we have the awesome wrath of God poured out in giving them, because they have loved the lie and not the truth, we know that they will be damned, they will be lost, they will be given over to these things which are not convenient, and we know also they'll be lost forever if they do not repent and turn from that. O God, tonight I pray, may the fear of God fall upon us, and may the presence of God also come upon us to convict us of error and wrong in our time, in our day, and be willing to turn away from it, repent from it, and turn to the Lord with all our heart. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Now, last night, for a foundation, which we like to do, we gave most, spent at least half of our time in the Word of God, where we started in the Old Testament in Deuteronomy 18 and went down through the Kings, Chronicles, and then into the Prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, and then into the New Testament, the book of Acts, Galatians, Ephesians, and so on, and laid out a clear foundation that dabbling in the occult, or in divination, or in witchcraft, or any of these things is a total and complete rebellion against God. It's an abomination. God hates it. And it is, as we mentioned in our chart last night a little bit, just this is an overview of everything put together and united. This thing is uniting the world over, not just in the United States or not just in Lancaster County, but the world over, and sets itself up as an anti-God, anti-Christ system or power that opposes the truth of the Word of God. All these things fall into one or two categories. Either they belong to God and to His goodness and His Word and His truth, or they belong to the devil's lie and his untruth and strong delusion that men should believe a lie. It is not as complicated as one might think. One should be able, after being a born-again Christian and have the Spirit of God in them, to examine anything and everything that comes down the road and be able to determine whether it falls in line with good and with God and with Scripture and with truth, or whether it's that of mysticism, a lie, curious arts, divination, trying to learn the unknown in an unscientific way or have power with men or power to heal or so on. One should be able to put everything you run into into one or the other category fairly easy. Now, I know there are some things that are a bit gray and are kind of hard to determine, but for the most part, I can say that as we lay our proper foundation in Scripture, in truth, in the Word of God, we are able, through prayer and the reading of the Scripture, to discern whether most of these things are right or wrong very quickly. And that's a blessing. We are children of the light, children of the day. We do not dwell in darkness or in the night. And so, therefore, God sheds light upon His children, and we are able to determine and to interpret these things where they belong, for the most part. I just want to mention, too, in 2 Timothy 3, we are told, familiar Scripture there, that, verse 1, that in the last days, pearl-ish times shall come, and men are going to be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, and all these different, this whole list. And then it ends up with having a form of godliness, but no power, denying the power thereof. And I think one of the reasons, in fact, a number of people who have turned to the New Age movement have acknowledged they have done so because they found no power in Christianity. And that's because they had the wrong kind. They were so anemic and so powerless in their clear conversion and taking the Word of God at face value that they basically say, well, it didn't work. It doesn't work for me. And it's like the young teenagers sometimes in high school. God didn't help me, so they prayed to the devil to help them win the game or with their test in high school or in even grade school. They said, well, God doesn't help me, so I guess I'll try something else. But many people have joined the New Age movement because they have found Christianity not having any power. And that's because they have the form and not the life. They didn't have the reality of it. Well, we also gave a bit of history last night, a very important piece of history for us plain people, of which witchcraft and sorcery and the strange healing practices known to us here in Lancaster County for 300 years virtually have come down here to us through our forefathers, bringing them from Europe and not already having apostatized to the degree, even though directly out of the Anabaptist movement in Europe, they brought these curious arts along and have handed them down to us personally, down through the years from generation to generation. So now tonight, we simply want to just look at some of these things that we're talking about. We face a lot today and there's a lot of confusion about. And so we hope that that you came to listen and learn and maybe ask questions. We want to have a time of question and answers where we can maybe just look at, answer some of these questions. But one of the things that we mentioned last night that we want you to really focus on a bit is this matter of life force. Life force is a power that comes out of Hinduism and Buddhism. That is an alternative for God. And that's why we pick up the homeopathic books here in the front and they have on there, May the force be with you. These men are simply not willing and the whole religion of it in the Far East, a lot in India, China, Vietnam, you know, Thailand. You have this a lot in the East, Japan and so on, where you have these various religions that believe in pantheism or there are many gods or rather that God is in everything. And what that religion teaches is that ultimately you need to become a God. And it's just interesting to me that they teach that God is in a tree and God is in the grass and God is in the animal. And finally, you know, that's why you have the problem in India to kill rats, because they may be reincarnated from a human. And therefore, if you're killing rats, they look at an animal or cows. The cows are holy, can wander through the markets and eat the food on the marketplace and nobody can chase them away because, you know, they're sacred. And the reason they're sacred is they're probably a reincarnation from a man. And they look at the animal kingdom and man's kingdom as all intertwined and all one. But it's interesting to me that how these people believe that in the cycles that they make through reincarnations, they ascend into a godlike being eventually to become like God. And that is exactly what Adam and Eve were faced with in the garden is to be like God and to know good and evil. But it is also interesting that has come down to the charismatic movement today where some of the major leaders of the charismatic movement are having their people chant, ye are gods, ye are gods, ye are gods. And are also trying to get the people to ascend into a creator and godlike status. And are even saying that by faith, you can be a creator like God was and make anything happen you want to happen and all these kind of things that they're saying. Of course, nobody can produce the goods, but they have the theory and the concept and they, of course, promote this whole thing. All right, so we want to look at that life force. Another word for that life force is, of course, the word Chi, C-H-I, which has to do with this new age or Eastern religion God. It's the God of, or this mystical power or life force is called Chi. Or Prana is another word for it. Or Mena, I think, or Mena, I'm not sure how they pronounce that, is another name for it. And they believe that this is a mystical power that is in all of the earth and that you need to become in harmony with it and therefore able to experience that power going through you. And then all of this is a replacement and a counterfeit. I was looking for that word last night. I wanted to use it last night. It is a counterfeit to God. It is a counterfeit to truth. It is a counterfeit to the Bible. Eastern mysticism and this Far East religion has set itself up and is uniting the world, getting ready for an antichrist system to take over the entire world, which is what 2 Thessalonians says. This will continue until they will set a man in the temple of God and declare himself to be God. That's where it will end. And then, of course, the Lord Jesus Christ will destroy him with the brightness of his coming and destroy him with the sword of his mouth in Revelation chapter 12, verse 9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world. He was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him. That is our enemy. All of these things come out of the serpent in the wilderness, or the serpent in the garden, rather I should say. The serpent in the garden, or Lucifer, or Satan. And it has all of these names, but it is all linked together directly to Satanism. And I don't know many of these things I do not know about, have never investigated, but just like the Lucius Trust and, you know, you have just the rainbow, you have the power, the hidden powers of the rainbow that came out in the 1970s that all at once got popular and everybody had on their lunch pails and hung as air fresheners in their car and all this thing. That was a New Age symbol. And there are many other symbols like that that we could talk about here tonight. But let us just go through some of these things here this evening. Let me see here. The first one I would like to look at tonight is radionics. Some of you have heard this is probably one of the worst ones that is so potent and powerful that anyone who has anything to do with it seems to have a direct effect on them emotionally and spiritually and even physically. This is prevalent again here in Lancaster County. Individuals have it. It is not near as prevalent in Lancaster County as it is in the Midwest. You find it a lot in Minnesota, South Dakota, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska. The people have bought into this thing and there are powerful men out there that lay hands on you in order to get the power to make this thing work. But if you care to study up about it, just look under the radionics.org website and they will expose themselves without any apology at all as to who they are. It says you're a world leader in power radionics technology, radionics and life force. There you have it again. The perfect match. It's a site of a man by the name of Carl Hans Wells is the inventor of what they call the Qi generator. And they're saying this black box or it's also known as the black box or this radionics box is much more powerful and much more effective if you don't have to muster up the power to get it to run but you combine it with the Qi or Qi generator and you put the two together and the thing is constantly powerful and effective. Now people use this for anything that you can imagine and they are saying that here in this literature. Let me just first tell you a little bit about it. It says here to help you project energy, life force, orgone is another name for life force, and trends. Or in other words it's kind of a fortune telling or again divination tool that helps you to learn the unknown. Now that is why the vast range of how this box is used is unbelievable. A Mennonite practitioner in Kelowna, Iowa is able to put your picture into it or if you send him a couple of your hair or a little bit of the cells of your skin he will stick that into the box and he will adjust the dials and rub the plate on it until it sticks to his hand that he claims he has the right frequency and he'll be able to diagnose what your problem is. In the case with the man that we worked with personally out in Kelowna, Iowa he was able to determine that a man had gangrene or something very very seriously wrong in his stomach or his abdomen told the man without seeing him that he needs to go to the hospital or that he could die and the man went to the hospital and was opened up truly did have virtual gangrene in his intestines or his abdomen and they saved his life by immediately operating and took some of it out but he had a file and the people who would come to visit him he had their picture in there so when this man called him on a Sunday morning and said I'm not feeling very good, he pulls out the picture puts it in the radionics box, adjusts the dial calls him back and says you're a sick man. This thing will work for endless distance. You can call any man who is a practitioner of the black box or the radionics box and you can be a thousand miles away if he has your handwriting or some hair or a picture of yourself or something like that, he will put it in that box and determine what your problem is and he will tell you what you need to do. People will energize horses in order to run a race they will bring a horse near to a frenzy of strength and energy by energizing the horse before a race they will treat bugs in a sprayer to spray the alfalfa fields they will treat the entire sprayer with the box and beam on it and then of course spray the field with the contents of the sprayer and be able to kill the bugs in it. They actually, it's amazing but these people when they are confronted with some revival movement or spiritual person has been born again they will actually beam that box at you if you're a Christian in order to protect them from the vibes that are coming their way that are conflicting their own spirit. And this thing is amazing what they have done. A Hutterite friend of mine had trouble with his hogs not prospering in most of his barn like three quarters of his barn he put mineral after mineral in the box and tried to find out what these pigs need finally he told his children get me a little vial of water and he put the water in the box and all at once he got a stick to his hand where this thing stuck to his hand he said what? These hogs are not getting their water and so he gets up there and tests the nipples down through the long hog pen where perhaps thousands of hogs were being fattened and found out they had put a new pump on the pump didn't have enough of pressure the first part of the barn got water and down toward the end they weren't getting water and they were actually the hogs were drying up it was accurate 100% to the problem and he had determined that sitting in his kitchen or his kitchen table and doing the experiment by putting different nutrients and finally putting water into the black box that's how powerful radiomics is but that man himself after using that for a time and seeing what the sickness of his children were or whether his wife was pregnant maybe or cousin or nephew or niece or whatever you know he would try for anything you want to try if you want to learn the unknown thing about it you can use this black box for it he was already involved in witchcraft and when he went to Minnesota to have his hands laid on to learn how to run it and get the power to run it the man said it already works for you I don't have to touch you, you have the power to do it and later on he was out in the field one night and the repercussions of playing around with that box were so drastic to him that he started turning into a lizard-like creature he looked down at himself and he was turning green with fish-like scales on his body it scared him so bad that he had no idea what was happening to him and what to do about it another time he was in the truck and this thing started coming over him and his hands looked like frog skin and again he was turning into like an evil spirit or a demon and it scared him again so bad that he went to his preacher and his preacher didn't have the faintest idea what to do for him later on of course he finally got willing to get some help and got some help got converted gave his heart to the Lord and has been free from it ever since but he renounced that thing and got rid of it Radionics it says here that these devices are truly magical tools with near infinite potential meaning you can use them for whatever life force bridges any distance they say in their literature some modern day experts in the field of Radionics call the Radionics device the voodoo doll of the modern age I mean those of us who have been in and out of foreign countries in missionary work and are familiar with voodooism we know what that is that is pure devilish satanism in places like Haiti or South America or various places where the heathen practice those voodoo powers and here they acknowledge the voodoo power or the voodoo doll of the modern age they actually on this this website is nothing to fool around with they actually encourage you to put your hand over a certain spot that they have marked on the paper or on the screen of the website and actually feel the power that this thing will give you and you have just felt life force they say when you finally feel that tingle in your hand it is the magic of the future because it has this chi generator in it and the life force can be harnessed with technology they are saying you have just experienced first hand they are saying here that which sensitive and powerful persons in all ages among them Ta Chi masters Reiki masters Yogis, Shamans, Conjurers which means people who can bring up evil spirits or demons, call up demons magicians and priests performing spiritual work all these kind of people what they knew all along you are now able to experience namely that life force Chi, Prana, Mena, Orgone, etc every culture and language has its own name for the same energy transfers at any distance however it transfers without loss of energy all that is needed is the right structural link some professionals prefer to call it psychic link to establish contact meaning that you get psychically involved in order to make contact with this power much more could be said but this is a devilish thing it also acknowledges later on that for persons who are unaware of its basic function it says here life force appears to be a medium that is modulated by trend energies when it then carries to the target which if it's a medium that is modulated it may as well simply say a medium is another word for a demon or an evil spirit and that's what they acknowledge some traditions such as Voodoo and Santeria are still practicing animal sacrifice to cause strong releases of the life force and he says later on that in ancient times men had to sacrifice a chicken in order to get the power to start this power of Chi working in you you don't have to do anymore since you have a Chi generator built into this machine you can get the thing working immediately for you that is one awful thing and you know it's so sad to see our people so messed up with these kind of things and like I say it's not so awfully bad here in Lancaster County although it does exist and those that and again you see people on antidepressant medicines who have the machine you see them sad you see them miserable you see troubled marriages you see bouts of immorality and just all kinds of trouble that comes into a home when they dabble in occultic things like this and play around with the devil you will not get by playing around with Satan like that alright another one we want to look at here is homeopathy as I mentioned before we have the little booklet here that was passed out in Lebanon County and I'm not going to go into full detail of this but this is primarily a man by the name of Samuel Hahnemann who had a bout with an owl and no that was iridology I'm sorry let me see homeopathy anyway is the concept of taking a basic herb material and diluting it and then shaking it in order to energize it and then you dilute it again and you shake it again to energize it again and you do that a number of times over until there is no herb left in the distilled water that you put in and shake but yet the more you cut it the more you dilute it the more energy it's supposed to have and of course people have fallen for this and the modern medical association has now also accepted homeopathy as a kind of an acceptable way of treatment and you may find in a common doctor's office to be prescribed homeopathic medicine or you may find it in a hospital along with meditation and yoga and a number of other things in order to try to get well but this is the booklet that says in the back on page 27 may the force be with you and it is it is very prevalent I have testimonials I have known people personally in the west and other places too up in Canada I was up there about a month ago a man just gave testimony that he went for this thing and he thought finally I have a way to heal myself and heal my family and he had all the different stuff lined up but he said the more I used it the sicker we got and he said we were sad and I know that home for years has struggled with marriage problems now their teenage boy has turned into rebellion doesn't go to church with him anymore I am not sure if he goes anywhere or not and he has had financial difficulties I think his farm is up for sale presently even though he has been a very good dairyman for years and it is just like all kinds of things have gone wrong he put an addition on his barn and it ended up he spent money for this or that the electrician charged him a hundred thousand more than he was planning to and now he is trying to sell the farm to get out of it and that man just gave his testimony finally he said I have seen what this thing was doing and he said I got rid of the whole stuff and he said actually we are much less sick than we ever were before when we were using it but homeopathic medicine is very tricky because like I say in the early stages you can buy some that has a little bit of herb in it but for the most part it is when you go up to 30 dilutions or 20 dilutions it is like a drop of water in a hundred million or a hundred trillion lake superiors is the dilution of herb in it there is nothing in it anymore but distilled water that has been shook and energized in a mystical way and once again it belongs to the new age mystical medicines and that is what people are falling for a lot of times because they think they can have this kit at home to treat themselves and their children and not have any effects from it or I mean not have to go to the doctors anymore they are able to heal themselves and so on and you write your questions down about any one of these I will go through a number of them and then maybe we will open it up another one is chromotherapy or color therapy which is the belief that it involves the alleged psychic use and perception of color to diagnose and treat physical illness and or emotional problems for example color therapists claim they can accurately diagnose the condition of the body by psychically seeing and evaluating the condition of the aura you know what the aura is the shield that we are all supposed to have around us you know and they are able to examine this thing and treat it and then they have another thing here that they are saying here this is rather complicated an alleged psychic sheath surrounding living things that's what the aura is or the chakras allegedly psychic centers within the body now these chakras are new age as can be they come right out of eastern mysticism and what they claim is that there are these spots on your bodies which are your chakras and therefore you have this therapeutic touch in a given area of your body that they don't treat you anymore and actually massage the body but just find that spot and touch it with an oil or vibrate a little with a finger and that's supposed to correct everything because it does it mystically I guess of some kind and another one that has come on the market that you'll find you can go to your local health food stores around here and invariably you'll find this symbol of a circle with an S in it and a dot on each side the one is black and the one is white it's what is known as yin and yang yin and yang are technically male and female gods of eastern mysticism again yin and yang are a religion and actually they believe that they are the creators and so it's giving it's a total replacement of the god of heaven the god that made you and us but actually it is giving that credit to another power called yin and yang and my you just like I say you find this in literature in our local health food stores around here and it is dangerous stuff the bible says in Proverbs 14 12 there is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof is the way of death and Jesus also said here's the they believe in half is dark half is light they have a mixture of light and darkness but the bible tells us very differently in John 8 12 Jesus proclaimed I am the light of the world whosoever follows me will not walk in darkness there's no darkness in God you don't have a yin and yang which is part light and part dark and 2 Corinthians 6 says you know what part has light with darkness giving the idea that it's far far far apart and there's no connection between them righteousness and wickedness have nothing in common but it is a very mystical occultic symbol that is on books and literature and also very very dangerous to mess around with the biggest one and most difficult one of course is in our in our county here is probably reflexology I believe there's literally thousands upon thousands have gone to reflexologists there are probably a couple hundred practitioners in the county that practice in their basement in their living room or wherever or set up shop and begin treating people with reflexology now the people usually ask me was there anything wrong with treating somebody's feet or rubbing somebody's feet and the answer is no there's not but reflexology is something different and it depends how much knowledge that people have and how much training they had as to how messed up they are in this whole thing but I usually tell people if they have the charts which show the zones of the feet that is a direct thing that comes out of the orient out of eastern mysticism out of hinduism and buddhism and this book as I mentioned last night I bought in Minneapolis at the airport and it gives a positive side of reflexology but in doing so it has pictures of Egypt the Egyptians which I have up front here treating each other's feet it has actually a picture of a statue of buddha lying down or reclining with the zones and the lines on the feet reflexology is a new age medicine and it's something again not to to mess with one of the the most powerful ladies performing this in the state of Delaware that I know of for many years plain lady brought up in the Mennonite church she is divorced from her husband and now I think every last one of her married children have also been divorced it is a total wreckage a total chaos and you have to wonder was there any connection this lady was practicing reflexology for years making good money doing so and yet her home her faith in god is in shambles and she has brought herself to ruin I have noticed other people that have been heavily into it that are in a darkness in a mental darkness emotional darkness you see associated with it but reflexology is not just an innocent rubbing of the feet like I say you and I can rub each other's feet husbands and wives wives husband or children makes them feel good but it is not true that there is a direct connection between these zones in the foot and all of your organs in the body that again is divination to make that connection the and then of course if you look at it they'll talk about the power of chi you read the origin of it the actual foundation where they're not ashamed of the language and they're educated in it they'll talk about the power of chi or prana they will talk about these blockages that I spoke about last night that you treat the feet to remove these blockages but what it really is what it really is is to line up and bring in balance the meridian lines that run through the earth that run through the human body and bring you in harmony with the earth that's what reflexology is all about you can't get away from well I don't treat like that people say and I I I don't go that far into it I just treat feet and I don't treat and all that and I used to say well do you have the charts on your wall or does she have the charts on her wall where which means she has had training or has learned it from somebody who has had contact who has had contact with the original source and it's nothing to fool with but rather to stay away from another one here is chakra oils or liquid candles or some would say essential oils well once again there's nothing wrong with peppermint spearmint or a lot of the other mints they smell good and if you rub them they may have some penetrating effect and have some value to rub them on your body but that's not what essential oils are all about essential oils are involved with high vibrational healing and meditation listen to these words these oils carry the divine energy and essences of all the masters of light Christ the Elohim elders Archangels Ascendant Masters Yogi Masters and deities and all specially attuned to each chakra to help you with opening balancing and raising the vibration of your chakras to use the oils anoint your chakras with the oils oils to use the oils the oils to use the oils to use as you do this call upon the masters of light ask that they work with you and your higher self to open balance and raise the vibration of your chakras to use the liquid candles light the candle as you do all a call upon the masters of light the divine energy and essence in the liquid candle which surrounds as it burns ask that the masters of light work with you and help your higher self to help you open and balance and raise the vibration of your chakras. Now, you can find that in stores and shops all over the place, essential oil candles, essential oils. Like I say, there's nothing wrong with oil. Oils are for, were used, anointing oils like olive oil and various oils were used for anointing the body. The Bible even says, get up, anoint yourself, you know, in the Bible. And I think those oils are used. But here again, you have that replacement. You have that competition from the other world, from Satan's world, who takes these things that God created that smell good and give an aroma in the house or whatever. And you open it up in a dish or burn it in a candle or whatever, which in itself would nothing be wrong with. But when they lead you into real aromatherapy, they're going to ask you to call upon the gods that are with it and behind it. And to ask these masters of light. And you notice there that they mention Christ. You see, Penteism or Buddhism and Hinduism believes in many gods. So yeah, Jesus is just one of the many. And so they'll mention Christ, but they'll mention all these others, masters of lights and what have you. And so, and the sad fact there, some of you are familiar with the budget. The Amish Mennonite newspaper has been going for many years. Gave the account of a man down in Virginia who they took to one of these doctors and he rubbed him down with all these essential oils on the way home. He went totally berserk, screaming down the road. They had to drop him off in a mental hospital on the way home. And there are many others that have been treated who don't have that kind of an effect. But I'm telling you, something goes on in the spiritual realm when you dabble in occultic medicine. And that's what this is, I believe. You have the same thing tied in with that is also aromatherapy. Light therapy, color therapy, aromatherapy and essential oils are all kind of connected and everyone just does a little bit of the same thing. Another thing I wanted to mention is these meridian lines that run through the earth. I had a couple here last night. I'm not sure if they're here tonight. I don't believe so. But anyway, there are many people in Lancaster County who are getting messed up with lining up their lives with these north and south meridian lines, which again is a New Age term and it's a New Age religion. They are adjusting their bedroom, their beds, according to a compass or actually divining rods. A guy comes into the bedroom and tells them which way to set their bed for success, for health, for well-being. They take little children's beds and adjust them in the room. It doesn't matter which way the walls go. The bed has to be adjusted according to these lines that run through the earth that will bring you in balance with the earth and that will make you healthy, wealthy and wise, supposedly. People are falling for this. Other things that go along with that. Some years ago, I understood some people locally here and a few miles from here were burying a rod, a certain power rod outside the window of their bedroom. That was supposed to have an effect upon you and upon your well-being and emotional and spiritual and physical well-being. It's amazing. This New Age religion, you always watch that. One of the things I watch for on the labels of a bottle is, or in any kind of a medicine, if it is supposed to affect you emotionally or affect your moods. And then you know that it is broader than having a physical effect. It's also working on you, as they would say in their true literature, spiritually. It has a spiritual effect. If you're buying spirituality in a bottle, you're buying the wrong one. That's part of this feat here. The New Age movement. The Antichrist. The New World Order. The Age of Aquarius. The Mother Earth things to bring you in harmony with Mother Earth and so on. All right. The next one is muscle testing or kinesiology, it is called by many, or applied kinesiology. And that is the age-old thing, or our age at least, has been going on for many years. And it's so interesting, you know, as a young man, I went to a chiropractor maybe a few times and got an adjustment and it made you feel a lot better. Or if your back was out of place or you hurt yourself in a fall or something like that. But these fellas, nearly all of them in the county have gone back to school and they come back with many new chapters to their practice. I don't know what to do with some of their original chiropractor. I know, like I said, we said last night, the origin was pretty heathen in that way too. And so was the rest of modern medicine also. But what these men have done is going back to school and all at once the chiropractor is also selling herbs. But to test whether they work for you or whether they're good for you, he asks you to hold a bottle of those herbs or pills or capsules in your hand and hold them to your stomach and asks you to stick your hand out and he tests you whether this is good for you by pumping your arm. And if you can have a good resistance, you don't need it. But if you're weak, then, yeah, if you're weak, you don't need it maybe. Or that anyway, when you, there's a connection to the medicine that that is what you need and that's how they determine what you need and therefore they sell you the medicine then. Now we talked a lot last night about divination. And here again is where divination takes place. There is no scientific connection between that medicine and the strength of your arm when you hold it in a bottle and it's inside the bottle and it's inside capsules and you're just holding it in your hand. Again, you'll need a mystical connection to the body in order for that hand to act different whether you hold the pills in your hand or not. That medium is usually an evil spirit or has to do with mystical spirits and evil. And applied kinesiology as you know it, as I believe is not of God, is not right and not scientific either. I, we found a doctor on West Columbia Avenue here in Lancaster that we went to after my wife had a hysterectomy that we thought had some herbs that would help bring the hormones into balance after a hysterectomy normally upsets that in a woman's life. And he said, well now in order to treat you, you know, I'm going to have to test you. And so I'll test you with these certain hormones, natural hormones with kinesiology hoping you don't have a problem with that. I said, you mean you won't sell them to me if you don't? If I don't let you first test my wife that way? No, I won't. He said, I'm so convinced of it, I will not even treat you or I won't even sell you any if I can't first test you. I said, okay, thank you. And we got up and walked out of the office and went home and never went back again. And, but that's the kind of tricks, that's the kind of pressure they put on you. You get in these places and they say, well now, we want to see if this works, if this is good for you. Why don't you stand up here on the wall and stick your arm out? And they just do it so innocently like that left and right. That is called applied kinesiology or muscle testing. And it's amazing, virtually every plain practitioner around the country seems to do muscle testing. My, it's just no end, no end to these things. Muscle testing is also based on certain beliefs of chiropractic including in some forms of innate intelligence or the ancient Taoism. There you have that far eastern religion again. In particular, the meridian structures of classical Chinese acupuncture. It teaches that if left untreated, blockages or imbalances of the body's energies, the life force or qi, eventually result in physical illness or aberrations. And so, all roads lead back to China. All roads lead back to Buddhism and Hinduism. You can't get away from it. Every time you find one of these things, you search out where it comes from, it gives its credit back to the life force. And there is where the Antichrist whole religion lies in that power. And so, here a man that teaches the touch for health can be performed in virtually the same manner as psychic healing, he says. For example, in so-called meridian tracing, one can apparently regulate mystical energy flows by mental power alone. In fact, you do not even have to make contact with the body. You can simply follow the meridians in your mind eye through concentration or meditation and produce much the same effect. Now you don't have to even hold the pills. You might as well just put them on the shelf. As long as you look at them and concentrate on them, you'll have the same effect. That's what he says. We are all one with the universe, is the common New Age belief. The universal energy. And that is a replacement, direct replacement of God. There seems to be, oh yeah, I need another one here I would like to give. Here is iridology or eye reading. Also very, very popular here in Lancaster County, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, where have you. Iridology. And not only that, but it is also very prevalent in the world today, becoming ever more prevalent even in the medical fields that you may find this being used in hospitals now because what's happening in the medical world is absorbing the New Age world as things degenerate. And that's one of the reasons we do not advocate nurses training anymore to become an RN unless it would be specifically a strong Christian that would want to use it maybe on the mission field. But for the most part, they will give you New Age medicine training and nurses training today. But here is the iridology. Now this is the man by the name of Ignatz von Peck-Zeeley, if I can say it right. He was a man who was messing around with an owl and the leg broke. He had a fight with the owl. The owl was kind of attacking him and he broke its leg. And when he did, he thought he saw some kind of a spot or some reading in the eye that showed the pain that it was having or the problem it was having in its leg. And he came up with this whole, most of it seems to be quack here, or potentially occultic practice called iridology or irisology. And there's various names for it. But what it means is the reading of the eyeball or the iris of the eye to determine what's wrong with you. Now, this has been tested and cross tested many times. And it is not more effective than a mere guess. Some of the major medical associations have actually, you know, given it the benefit of the doubt and tested it out to that extent. But what happens is it has entered the New Age camp. And so the iridologists will have their tent alongside the reflexologists, the kinesiologists and all the other ologists of that kind. And so it enters in with people who are already psychically or occultically involved. Now you have an occultist peering in your eye with a flashlight and trying to read it, you know, and prescribing to you what's going on. And the next thing you know, the individual is psychically affected or occultically affected by having gone to a doctor or a practitioner who is into iridology. It's a common practice in Europe and a growing audience in the United States also, known as iris science, iris copy, irisology, iris diagnosis and various other names that surround it. But this has been done. There are some very interesting double blind tests where, you know, a person had cirrhosis of the liver like or a major thyroid problem and didn't say a word, went to an iridologist and said, what's my problem? You know, well, it was way off, you know. And so, like I say, it's nothing more than a mere guess unless someone is so psychically empowered that they actually have psychic powers to diagnose your sickness and maybe hit it right off. That's also possible in some of these things because they have supernatural powers from Satan. Estimated 10,000 practitioners of iridology in New York and over 1,000 in the United States. And I don't think that even scratches the surface. I think there are many, many more besides that. But that also is one to stay completely away from. You go to see a practitioner, an herbologist that wants to read your eyes while you're there and see what's wrong with you and see if they can help you. Don't let them do it. Just get up and walk out. You know what the problem is in this whole thing? People are trying to enter into a power. They want a power like God. It's the same old Garden of Eden problem. People want to be like God and know things that are not given mankind to know. And so they continue to dabble in occultic powers to try to get this information and learn this stuff so that they are able to have honor, make money, and being able to diagnose and tell people without years of experience as a home doctor or a home practitioner, they want to know this through other powers. And so they go to some seminar and learn this stuff. And the next thing you know, they're diagnosing sicknesses when they're not fit to and have not had the experience or the education for it. Like it says here in an article I have, they're playing God. It's the lust for power. The lust for power and the lust for fame, perhaps, or the lust for money. Numerous things. Some of these practitioners have got very wealthy in being able to treat people. You know, it's just amazing. I just heard of one the other day that is charging $130 an hour for an hour's treatment or something like that because they think they have this special treatment that is able to really help you. But I believe it is the lust for power. All right. Let us talk a little bit yet about this whole matter of bracha or powwow, which is considered to be folk medicine or white magic. If you ever have the opportunity, you can go to the Mennonite Heritage in here in Lancaster Historical Society. And in there they have these magazines that are printed monthly. And in July 1980, a Gerald Studer printed this article on powwowing, folk medicine or white magic. And it is an extremely informative article that I picked up from there and gave the local situation with it here. But it's amazing, not only among plain people, but even in Berks County or in Salterson down here, and various places where the hub of this thing was when the Germans first come in here and settled into Pennsylvania, they are still men out there in the world that are practicing powwowing, where worldly people go to for help. But what I mentioned last night is it is not necessarily the same as Indian powwowing. But what happened is when the Puritans first came from England, they met an Indian group of people who were doing their powwowing and they were doing their braha, as it is called in German. There's not really an English name for it that I know. But anyway, as they compared the two, the Indians said, well, we do the same thing, you know, ours is called powwowing. And that's why it's called powwowing. But it was very similar in how it drew on these mystical occultic powers for healing called white magic and so on. But the Indians called powwowing, the Germans called braha. But it's very similar in both getting its power from the same source, but yet it has different origins. The Indians had their heathen origins here. The Germans got theirs out of wherever in Europe. I believe it probably comes from the 6th and 7th Book of Moses, Egyptian sorcery. You know, who knows? This thing could come when... It's very evident to me that when the children of Israel left Egypt, they had learned some of the Egyptian powers and sorceries and things and drug them along because they kept showing up in Israel after they left Egypt. And I have to often wonder, did that thing come all the way down through to our day? And here we have it today. But, you know, you never know the devil. Even if he doesn't have a direct line like that, he seems like somebody hatches it up. But anyway, I mentioned also that about the book The Long Lost Friend or the 6th and 7th Book of Moses are in the county and are still being used today or on the bookshelves. And even though it is losing its major power, it seems like it can grip on the people. Except when you go, like the darker the religion, the worse this thing is. And you go into certain sectors of the county where the religion is very dark and you will find many palawars are still existing in those places. But today, men go for the more sophisticated new age. It's still the same old thing, but just a different term that people have today. Alright, one other thing is called, of course, by now I think you should know what this is all about. That's the Chi Machine. Made a tremendous explosion here in the county and other counties and relatives and friends across the nation to put your ankles on a machine called the Chi Machine and just relax and open up. And this thing was, of course, supposed to bring healing to you or to treat you for all kinds of things that were wrong with you. Here, a young man gave this report. I'll just read part of it. As he went to a seminar here in Lancaster County when they promoted this thing, maybe about, oh, what do we have here? He wrote this in 2000, so eight years ago, nearly. As I listened in on this seminar, I looked about seeing professing people representing Amish, Wenger, Weaverland Conference, Mennonite churches and worldly people all eagerly drinking in this spiritual poison. Yes, it appeared so harmless, presenting with polish, expounding in a caring attitude, steeped with medical terms, which could be true, and fortified with Eastern religious logic. Yet no one seemed concerned about the key question. Are we who have placed our faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ comfortable having Chi, which is Chinese religious spiritual energy, move through our body? Can a Christian place his mind in a relaxed state and let this Chinese religious spiritual energy, Chi, take over our body? Or can a Christian put his feet in the machine and let the Chinese religious machine pump this energy through your body that's supposed to energize your organs and your muscles and everything and fix them up? It says here, the Chi machine can bring physical benefits to a people who place faith in it and uses it. A person who puts himself in a relaxed state of mind, focusing the spiritual energy, Chi, to various portions of his body is making a choice. He is asking the spiritual powers of Chi for a physical benefit. He is placing faith and trust, not only in the machine, but in the spiritual energy behind the machine. It's interesting, after a while, people got an idea. Yeah, they did find out this Chi has to do with a religion in the Far East. And they got a little uncomfortable and look-alike machines that vibrated you the same way started coming out that treated you the same way that weren't called Chi machines. They were called something else, you know, some other treatment machine. That's how subtle Satan is bringing things in to our midst these days, you know. If you don't like the name, just get rid of the name. But I remember a man in Ohio, Holmes County, Ohio, gave me this story when he got convicted that this thing is wrong. And this was his words, or this was his story as I remember it today. I packed up that thing, I picked it up, and I had the box for it, but yet I decided I'm going to send it back and tell him I don't want it. It's because he had experienced some weird and strange things in when he used it. And he went to put it in the box. And he said, I got hit over the back of the head with a two-by-four. That felt like a two-by-four. He said it nearly knocked me out. I'm not sure if he regained his balance or if he fell to the ground and got back up. And then with all determination, he was made sure he got that thing out of there and sent it on its way. But just like that, when he moved to get rid of that thing, he was hit with something that just nearly stung him. Chi machine. All right. What else do we have? Well, there are other things, of course. Like I say, if you look at this chart back here, somebody said we could probably go for a month. But feel free to look over this and just see some of these things that you may connect with. Biofeedback. Transcendental meditation. That is something that came out of India with Maharaji Mahesh Yogi, who was an Indian guru that visited the colleges of Harvard University and when I was in Harvard University witnessing to people about the Lord back in the 70s, this fellow was coming in there and his pictures were all over and people were talking about it and they were learning this transcendental meditation. Well, that's a misnomer too. First of all, no human being on earth is transcendental. The only thing that transcends or transcends into everything is the God of heaven. He is the all-powerful one. So there is no human being that should ever be involved in transcendental meditation. But this fellow taught people to sit Indian style on the floor and empty out your mind and go into this trance-like thing where you just sat there for an hour or hours at a time. Sometimes take a little LSD to help the whole thing along and you would go on trips and see things and feel things and have some awful experiences. But anyway, they thought they were making touch with a mystical higher power, a higher self and all this thing that we were talking about here these two evenings were locked up in that whole thing. All right, now I'd like to open up for questions and anything you'd like to add or questions you want to, something I missed that you want to talk about. Feel free again to bring it to the surface. Yes. Yeah, the Powwowing as the Germans do it, the Braha, that usually involves a non-touching of the body. But you put your hands close to the wound, close to the sickness and you move it horizontally over the body, making a terrible noise like you're... Oh, I remember my grandmother said, when he did it on me, she got that fellow in to do it on me when I was burning a fire. When I was a boy at 10 years old, she said, I don't know why he has to make such a noise. No, but that's the way he treated. He made a noise that like a burping noise all the time, you know, while he was doing it. But there are many different kinds, but that's the way they don't touch. They don't actually treat the wound or the hurt, but they go over top of you with their hands and they usually have some mumbling noise Yeah, that is called drawing pain. And I think it's related definitely to the same field, but it's a different... This thing, they claim they are naturally gifted to draw pain. Some women have had to stop it because they are so... It becomes so prevalent that all they do Sunday mornings is the women are bringing church or bringing their babies to them to treat them and she's treating babies all Sunday morning and pulling the pain from them and all this kind of stuff that she can never listen to the message or go to church. But this goes on all over the country among the plain people, especially as a matter of drawing pain. Yeah, and they think it's God's gift. Yes, or do they profess neutrality? Neutrality. It's not wicked and it's not real good, it's just neutral. No, I don't think I did. I always, I think, heard more the other way that it's black and white or it's good and evil and so on. But it's definitely a New Age symbol, a very, very strong New Age symbol. Yes. Yes, if you go to Tree of Life. Tree of Life is a large company in New Jersey that distributes a lot in California and I think in the East here too into the city health food stores. You know, you don't see their products maybe so much in the local ones that I know of, although I'm not up on that because I don't go into them to get anything. But yeah, they have at least New Age language on some of their products. Some of them look like herbal products, herbal drinks or herbal creams or toothpaste or what have you, but some of it has New Age stuff on the box. And you don't know whether the product is New Age or whether they're trying to sell it to the New Agers because of the packaging. I'm not sure which is which there. But Tree of Life is into it. Yeah, if you see Tree of Life products, and there are others too. You go to the health food store, you'll find them. All right. Any other questions on reflexology? That's a big one. It's probably the most used in Lancaster County, I would say. Yes, yes, yes. I did speak a little bit about that last night. Yes, I worked at John F. Martin butcher shop, and when they drilled a well there, they got a Mennonite water witcher in to find their well there. And there's a lot of well drillers that are very acquainted with them and get them, you know, the people want them in there before they tell the well driller where to drill. That is, again, a form of divination. Divination is trying, which is forbidden in Deuteronomy 18, that you should not have anything to do with those who use divination, meaning to find out the unknown, using divining rods, or a peach twig, or pliers, or coat hangers, or all these different things. It doesn't matter what you use. It's so powerful that it actually pulls the bark right off of a twig, sometimes when they walk over water. But it also can be used, and is used, to find gold, or silver, or oil, or gas. And they also use it on a map, not just walking on the earth. But they'll take a road map and look for minerals on a road map. So it's widely used still in this county. A lot of people are having their wells drilled with a water witcher coming in. And interesting enough, if you look it up in the encyclopedia, that's exactly what it calls it, water witching. And it is considered historically to be a part of witchcraft. That's what it is. This little blue book that we have to give out is another name for it called Dowsing. And that explains the pros and cons of the whole thing there, too. But like I say, they usually say it's because they have a certain electricity in the body. But the earth stops the flow of electrons. Not that you can find water through the earth 100 feet deep, you know, with water witching. It's a mystical power, or as Acts 19 says, a curious art. That you bring your books together and burn them if you want revival in your life. And I want to just talk about the remedy here a little bit. Somebody's going to ask me. They knew I had three nights of this out in Illinois at one time, and here I had two nights. And I don't want to miss the remedy. But the secret of this whole thing, to get rid of it, is that people repent of it before God. I encourage very much that individuals who have been involved in witchcraft get on their knees and acknowledge that I have done wrong. I have sinned against God. I have done that which is an abomination before God, which God has told me not to do. And I'm sorry for it. I want no parts of the devil, any demons, or any psychic powers. I renounce them in Jesus' name. That's the way to approach this thing. Ask the Lord Jesus to cleanse you by faith in Him, by the blood of Jesus Christ, to forgive you for having dabbled in the occultic powers or the New Age movement. Accept forgiveness by faith and yield yourself completely to the Lord Jesus Christ. I further recommend that individuals, if they have really been involved in this thing, that they have brethren pray for them. Sometimes even with the laying on of hands, if they have really deeply been involved in it, they seem to not be able to get out of it alone, by themselves. But need some brethren to gather around them and pray for them and admonish them by Scripture. And we have seen many, many a person become gloriously set free from it. Testify of your deliverance. Tell others. Warn your friends. Tell your parents, brothers and sisters, that God has set me free. I have come to the light on this thing and I want to be free from it. And then I would say spend some time, go in prayer, fasting, asking God to cleanse you from everything and seek fellowship with those that are against it. That's also very good and important thing to do. That's the remedy. When we find out that we're living in error, living in sin, made a big mistake, dabbled with the occult, turn away from it. That's what repentance is. Turn and return back to God. And have nothing to do with it. Asking the Lord Jesus to help you and cleanse you from it. Yes, right. I think it is very closely associated to acupressure and acupuncture also, where they stick needles in these meridian areas. In other words, you need to stick a needle in, you can acupressure it by putting pressure on the point or you can massage the area. They all work on these areas of the body called chakras to bring you in balance with these meridian lines. But most reflectologists treat either the hands, various parts of the hands or the feet or both. But now we have new ones coming out. We have one out here in Franklin County, I believe, or in Cumberland County, or Franklin County, treating the roof of your mouth. And it's called, there's a cranial therapist in New Jersey now also, who is doing the head. But there's one out there that does the roof of your mouth. And he goes in there and he tries to heal you and your sickness with the treating of that. You know, some of these things, I believe, are just plain old gimmicks that relieve your money in your pocketbook, I think. But other times they're involved in New Age stuff. Yes. All that you called. Uh-huh. Right. Amen. Yes. You know, stray voltage is scientific, technical, and is real. Yeah. It's just like you can go out under a power line, under these big power lines, and you can take a fluorescent bulb and holding your finger across the poles of the one side, and actually it starts to glow when you hold it up. That's stray voltage. It's so much electricity being used and transmitted and so on. And it is very true that cows are more sensitive to it than humans are. And the effects of stray voltage are very, very legitimate there. But even in the others, they claim health problems from the big power lines. And you have miscarriages. You have other sicknesses, sometimes cancer. There's suspicion for many years living under a very heavy power line that comes real low over your house. Yeah. Good. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Amen. Good. Thank you for sharing that. Yeah. Arthur. Yeah, because the neutral is goes to ground. And so much of it apparently because we're 110. Yeah. I never knew that. Yes. Fair. Oh, direct current wouldn't do it. But the oscillating or the alternate current. All right. Interesting. OK. Yes. Yeah. It's pretty common. I didn't know for a long time to know what to make of that, because I know magnetism does change the ions of water that I've experienced personally. And I've seen good results with electromagnetic field in water on an ice machine. It changes the minerals to snow that you just flush out instead of sticking to the plates. But I find out now that magnetism is very much in harmony with the rest of these things and always in the New Age camp. And I went to see one of the major practitioners of it in Holmes County, Ohio. And he's a very strange man. I think his son got converted now and just kind of exposed the whole thing in the home. And it's not good. And he was very, very heavy on magnets. Lying, putting them in your mattress, sleeping on them, wearing them, you know, and all that. And it's probably a combination, again, of something to relieve you of your money and the occult somewhere in between there. Yeah. Yeah. That one is. That's light therapy. And that is definitely in the same vein as the rest of these. Color, oil therapy, you know, all that other stuff. Yeah. I think so. They simply shine a light on them, don't they? And sit in front of it. Who? LED light. But because it's LED, it's new and it's strange. And yeah, there again, there's a little bit of truth in light therapy in that ultraviolet lights make plants grow and are healthy for you. One of the problems of March depressions has to do with not enough sunlight. And what a person should do is whenever there is a sunny day, if they have any live close to the edge emotionally, they should try and get sunlight. But there are people who live under an ultraviolet light a bit, I think, and it does give them some of that. That would be the one thing that is different. But this new light therapy is not ultraviolet light for greenhouses or making plants grow, which is healthy. Yes. No. Aren't they natural oils? They're not essential oils or are they? Yeah. I'm not sure either. I'm not aware. Yeah. Natural oils. I believe so, too, because they didn't have the emu oil, tea tree oil and so on. As some of those things are are natural, just like herbs are. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Helps a lot. Yeah. OK. Yes. From Florida. Yeah. I had heard earlier that. Yeah. That it's coming in just something fairly new. They're starting to come in this whole light therapy thing. And it's the same thing as car therapy. They actually have proven also scientifically, like in the hospital. When I worked for my government service, I noticed that they had one floor painted yellow, yellow, a light yellow, another floor painted light blue. And I found out later that they were actually doing that on purpose, that these colors are harmonious with a person's well-being and feeling better about himself or whatever. But the color therapy that's going on today is this color makes you this way. If you're angry, you'll put this color or this light or this oil on you. That's the one thing I wanted to mention about essential oils. They actually have an oil for anger. Yeah. Imagine the replacement of the truth and repentance before God. You rub yourself in an oil instead. It's bizarre what these people are doing. Well, I can testify to that. Yeah, that's right. My life has been changed. Yeah. Amen. Yeah. Amen. All right. Shall we bring this to a close? And we can certainly visit afterwards and interact, talk about these things. Shall we stand for a word of prayer? Father in heaven, thank you again for this evening being able to look at the practical side of these things. We know the enemy has come in like a flood in our county and among our people, in our ancestry, Lord. And we are groping, Lord, for truth and for light. And we are finding it, too, in the Word of God and in prayer and looking to Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith. And we're finding our joy in the Lord and do not have to figure out ways of getting out of depression and heaviness because we have found our forgiveness of sins and joy in the Lord. Thank you, dear God, for the truth of the gospel. And we want to embrace the truth and love the truth, Lord, with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Thank you, Lord. And do direct us and guide us from here. Give us discernment in any new thing that comes along. And may we throw away and destroy those things that Satan has duped us with. We pray in Jesus' name, amen.
