Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the speaker draws a parallel between the oppressive regime of North Korea and the concept of the Antichrist in the book of Revelation. He highlights the great authority and control that the leaders of North Korea have over their people, comparing it to the power that the Antichrist will possess. The speaker challenges the belief that Jesus will come in the sky for his followers and then return seven years later for the Second Coming, stating that there is no clear biblical evidence for this. He emphasizes that the saints of God will overcome the Antichrist and endure suffering before being taken home, rather than being given a free ticket to escape earlier.

Hi, this is Bob from Hackberry House. Today, Kim Jong-un is not the Antichrist. Well, you heard it first right here. That's right, the present dictator of North Korea, evil as he may seem, is not the final world ruler. I know, most of you already figured that out. Although there are a few folks who look at every possible scenario in the newspaper, radio, TV, to see if they can identify the Antichrist. Well, you know, it's not necessary. Scripture tells us who he is. A little digging in Daniel makes it pretty clear. But that's another subject, and one I have covered in my book, Who is the Antichrist? For now, my focus is on Kim, Kim Jong-un. Though I say he's not the Antichrist, and that should be obvious, his nation is also not the tribulation. Still, take a good look at these two, North Korea and her leader. With only a little imagination, you will see the entire end times scene laid out before you. My escapist friends who are convinced by the brilliant pastor leaders of our day that they will not be here during this, the world's greatest trouble, may wish to excuse themselves from reading on or listening on. While I quickly give a nod to the scholarship of these great men, I would humbly challenge any of them to produce even one verse, one passage that says succinctly that Jesus comes in the sky for his own and then comes back seven years later to wrap things up in what we call the second coming. You can't find such a verse. So I challenge you again, since that first challenge cannot be met. Dear brothers, please produce even one passage where the word before is stated or implied in respect to the coming of Christ prior to a tribulation period. They can't do this either. The pre-tribulation rapture theory is a relatively new idea and it's impossible to verify from sacred writ. But Matthew 24 does have a time frame for the coming of Jesus. The word after is placed after the word tribulation in that chapter. Immediately after the tribulation of those days, it says, Jesus comes. Not a word about anything before. Case closed. And so, not fair to say this was written to the Jews. Nearly the entire New Testament was written to and by the Jews. That's what I've heard when people start talking about Matthew 24. Well, that was just written to the Jewish people. Well, it doesn't prove anything, does it? All of that to say that it would be wise for everyone to read the rest of this article or listen to the rest of this article as you, before you turn it off right now. Every believer, every believer is involved. Having studied North Korea and having studied the book of Revelation, I'm startled into believing that what you see in that Asian subculture, North Korea, is what you get when Antichrist arises, at the very least. Consider Revelation 13. It says that the devil will give the Antichrist great authority. You ask a Korean escapee just how far the authority of this one man, Kim Jong-un or Kim Jong-il or Kim Il-sung, reached into his life and controlled everything in authority. And then it says the whole earth was amazed. North Korea's people have been stupefied, have drugged into mindless following of this man and his father and his grandfather. It says he has an arrogant mouth, he's blasphemous. The entire regime in North Korea is given to mimicking the Christian religion. Ten commandments have become ten principles. Worship is for the leaders. That is, not for God, but for Kim Jong-il. It's true. Worship is directed to them. Confession of sin is required on a regular basis in North Korea. Constant hearing of the word of the leader is everywhere. This is blasphemous to replace the input of the word of God with the input of men. Buying and selling and prospering in any way is restricted to those who are 1,000% given over to Kim and company. Hence you have a society of incredible wealth next to the greatest poverty on the planet. So it will be in that awful day. The haves will be antichrist people. The have-nots will endure awful fates. This is how the saints of God will get home. By overcoming, by being overcome that is. By antichrist. Not a free ticket home earlier, while second-class saints are left to suffer in agony. Well, I only touched the surface with this comparison. And I probably underestimate just how awful it will be when the tribulation hits. As you continue to pray for the brothers and sisters in North Korea who are undergoing a tribulation of their own right now, remember that one day their suffering could be yours. There is no promise, I'm sorry, that you will escape that. In fact, their suffering could be doubled. It could be much worse than North Korea. You'll be happy on that day that you invested in the suffering of our day. God bless you. We'll talk again soon. Bye-bye.
