Kuma Hepe, Ubanonepaipe, Heperu 4 verse 14. No, 4 verse 12. Let's read, if you have your Bible, from Hebrews 4 verse 12. Kuma Hepe, Ubanonepaipe, Heperu 4 verse 12. For the sword, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. We'll end reading there. The word of God is the Word, and the Word is Jesus Christ. The Word became flesh. Became like our flesh. And the Word of God is sharp and living and sharper than any two-edged sword. And it exposes everything. It says, everything is uncovered and laid bare before Him. Before the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account. Do you know Jesus Christ? For what do you know Him? Oh, King of Kings. Some say He's the King of Kings. Some say He's the Savior. The Redeemer. For what do you know Him? One day, Jesus was very tired, and He sent His disciples to go to the town, to the village, to go and buy them some food. And He sat down at the well of Jacob. And at midday, a woman arrived. Now, women normally would not go during the middle of the day to go and draw water. Now, in Judea, they would go and fetch water at midday. You didn't find pure, young, virgin girls in Judea fetching water at midday? They would go early in the morning, and then later in the afternoon. But the girls of old were none. They were known for their purity. They would always go in groups, these pure, young girls, with an older girl as their leader. And if ever any one of them was defiled by a man, that girl would be excommunicated, would be excluded from the community. From their company, and they would say, you can't go with us any longer, because you are now defiled. You cannot call that girl miss any longer, because she is no longer a miss. Neither can you call her missus, because she is not married. She has lost her virginity. A young girl, who is a virgin, and a young man, who is a virgin, who is pure, they are unspoiled. They are unspoiled, unblemished. They are still exactly as God had created them. But if you have lost that virginity, well, today it is better, because people are wearing dresses, and trousers, lungs, and they cover it up. But in the olden days, they would notice if a person had lost it, and virginity was regarded as something very precious. And then that person, that was excluded from the other young girls, would be like a bat, those that fly around at night, and eat mosquitoes. They are not sinless. If you have lost your virginity, you will be like a bat. And if you have lost your virginity, you will be like a bat, those that fly around at night. look at your long nose and your face, but yet what are those wings for? You look like a bird, you don't belong to us, away with you. And then the bat gets to the birds and sits amongst the birds. The birds look at this bat and they say, but my, this thing that's amongst us here has got the face of a mouse, so it doesn't belong here. And when it sits in the trees with the birds, the birds perch upright and the bat hangs upside down. And then they say, no, no, no, that doesn't belong to us. It's not part of us because it's upside down. So what can you say of a girl that has lost her purity? Because you cannot say that she's a pure young girl. No, neither can you say that she's a married woman. So she's just upside down. Even though it is like that, Jesus knows everything. This woman arrived there during midday to draw water. Why? Because she had been vomited out, so to say, by the other pure young girls. Kafula in Zulu is to spit out, to vomit out. It's a bad name. Now the word kafa was actually originated by the Muslims. They would call anyone who did not belong to the Muslim faith a kafa. That's where the word comes from, and then later it was taken over by others and used as well. But that's where it really originated. As Jesus sat at the well, this woman came with a bucket to draw water. And as she came there with a jar, Jesus asked of her to give him to drink. And then she said, but you're a Jew and I'm a Samaritan. A Samaritan was a mixed race, like the Calots. And she said, how can you ask of me to give you to drink? You see, apartheid has started long, long ago already. And then Jesus answered, if you knew who it was that asked you for water, you would have asked of him. And he would have given you living water, that if you drink of that, you'd never thirst again. Anybody who comes to this well will be thirsty again, but if anybody drinks of the water I give him, he will never thirst again for all eternity. Jesus was speaking about spiritual water, but she didn't understand. She thought he was speaking about ordinary water. And then she said, sir, give me of that water, so that I won't need to come back here again, to always come back and draw water and be burned by the sun. Now Jesus left her at that, because he saw she didn't understand. She didn't grasp what he was really saying. And then he said, go and call your husband. And she said, I have no husband. And Jesus said, you say right, that you have no husband. For your very life. And he said, you've had five, and the one that you're staying with now is not yours. You've stolen him. He's got a wife, perhaps, and children. And you've stolen him from his own children, so that they don't have a father. And she got a fright, a shock, because perhaps she didn't even count them. Maybe you might have boyfriends. One, two, and so it carries on. And you don't even count them. Jesus said, you've had five, and the one that you're staying with now is the sixth one. And you, young man, you say you haven't got married yet. And yet Jesus is counting all the girlfriends you've already had in your life. And when you meet up with him, he'll be able to tell you how many you've had. And then, this woman left her water jar there. She ran back to the village. And she shouted out there, and she said, come and see. Isn't he perhaps the Messiah? For he's told me everything I've ever done in my life. That's what she knew Jesus for. Some say, oh, he's my Lord, and he's my Savior. Where are those that say, he's told me everything that I have done? Jesus knows all your secrets. Everything that you've hid away, he knows it. And if you haven't met with him yet, then you haven't met with the man who's called He's the Word. He who's sharper than any two-edged sword. Who hasn't got any secrets? There are some young people who were naughty there in Germany. And they were bad. There were three famous and well-known men in Germany. And these mischievous young men sent a telegram to each one of those three men. A simple, short telegram. Everything has come to light. And the first one got the telegram. It wasn't signed, but the message was, everything has come to light. And he said, my, have all my secrets come to light? And he took a gun, and he shot himself, committed suicide. The second one hastily packed his suitcase, got onto the aeroplane, and flew off somewhere. Until today, nobody knows where he is, and what happened of him. And the third one disappeared. Everything has been brought to light. They couldn't face up to that. The first one committed suicide. The next one fled. The third one just disappeared. You see what it's like to have secrets. In Luke 12, we read where Jesus said, don't fear him, who can only kill the body, and after that can do nothing. But he said, I'll show you whom you are to fear. Fear him, who after he has destroyed the body, can throw a person into hell fire. He said, for nothing is hidden that won't be revealed. That which is whispered behind closed doors into the air will be shouted out on the rooftops. Friends, let me tell you, there is nothing hidden that won't be revealed. Your sin will find you out. I need to close, because some are still going to leave after the service, going back home. In France, there was a certain young man. He lived an exemplary life. He never parted from his mother. He would always be at home with his mother and father. He went to school, high school, after that to university, and he never once in his life had a girlfriend. Until he received his engineering degree. And then he went to a restaurant just to go and buy something small. And when he got there to the restaurant, there was a beautiful young woman who was there. Beautiful young lady. And this girl greeted him and said, good day. How are you? Where are you from? But today it's the other way around. It's the girl that will just take the initiative and get to know the boy. He said, are you in a hurry? He said, no, I'm not in a hurry. I just came here to buy something small, and I'll be going back home. And the girl asked, can I buy you a cup of coffee, and then we drink some coffee together. Now, this was quite a shy young man. He didn't know girls. He never had much to do with them. And he was a little embarrassed. So he said, all right, yes. She said, look, I've got lots of money. I've got some money with me. I'll buy, I'll pay for it. It'll be on me. Well, they sat down, and she ordered some coffee. They drank coffee together. Two, three hours. Now, you know what it's like if you're in the company of a girl. The watch, you don't notice the time, the hours as they fly past. Two, three hours will fly past without you noticing anything. Just like sitting in front of the TV. The hours go by, but in the service, we very quickly look at our watches and see, but when is it going to come to an end? And then it was already close to twelve o'clock, and she said, my, it's so late now. You know, hurry back home. He said, no, not really. And then she said, well, here's a hotel close by. Why don't we just go over there, book in, and sleep there? And then she said, don't worry. I'll take, I'll pay for it. Because my parents are rich. So he was now between these two, wavering between these two thoughts. Should I? Shouldn't I? Should I? Shouldn't I? Eventually he said, alright, that's fine. But he said, no, not really. He said, I'll pay. He said, I'll pay three times. He said, he'd book one room for two. But it was a double bed. A bed that was low. And then they said they'll take one room for two people, for a couple with a double bed in there. And then she was given the key, and off they went, up the lift to the third floor, to room 311, suite 311, and that's where they entered. Now I'm not telling you a fairy tale, I'm telling you about something that actually happened. And so they slept in the hotel. It was for the very first time that that young man slept with a girl. The next morning, when he woke up, he looked, and he saw, my, I'm alone in the bed, there's nobody next to me. And he thought, well, she had put her clothing there on the bench, on the chair, there in the room, and they were no longer there. He thought maybe she'd gone into the bathroom, maybe she's busy washing. He went in there, there was nobody. And then he saw, here on the mirror, which was from the one wall right across to the other wall, very high, very large mirror. Welcome to the AIDS Club. And there, with red lipstick, it was written, on that mirror, from the one side to the other side, in large letters, in French, Welcome to the AIDS Club. And then he got a fright, he almost froze with shock. His knees knocked together. He quickly got dressed, didn't go back home, he went straight to the doctor. And then the receptionist of the doctor asked, did he have an appointment, so he said no, but he said it's urgent, I must see the doctor. So she spoke to the doctor, and he said, well, I'll just squeeze him in between. And then as he spoke to the doctor, he perspired, he was wet with perspiration. The doctor, something that I've met up with for the first time in my life, and he related to him everything that had happened. And he said, please, take a blood sample, test my blood to see whether I've got AIDS, because she wrote there, Welcome to the AIDS Club. He said, it's too early, you've come too soon, come after three months, and then we'll test your blood. And then after that time, he went back, his blood was tested. And he went back the following week for the results, and the results was that he was HIV positive. I don't know whether he's still alive today. This young man, who lived an exemplary life, he sent once, but it was once too many. Young people, things are bad today. The statistics say that in some areas, 36% of a group, of a certain group, are HIV positive. In other areas, 52%, in other places, 83%. Let me tell you, 99% of my patients are HIV positive. One doctor said, let me tell you, 99% of my patients are HIV positive. He said the figures that come out in the media, those are all lies. Who's going to remain behind? Who will we still preach at? There's no cure. Until today, there is no cure. God has poured out His wrath upon us for a long time. He's been speaking to us, and we've ignored Him, so He's taken out His shame back today. Young men and young girls, young women, let us be pure young people. Let us be pure young people. Let us be pure young people. Jesus knows all about your life. He knows how many girlfriends you've had. He knows how many boyfriends you've had. So come to Him and expose everything. Confess all your sin to Him. Because He can make you new. He can transform your life. He can make everything new, that you'll be pure once again. And that you'll then be able to live for Him. And even if you should die, that you then die and go to heaven. Nothing is impossible for Him. His name is above every other name. So let us know Him. Let us know Him as the One who knows everything about us. The One who is with us, who convicts us of our sin. So that when we stand before Him one day as the judge of judges, that He won't reject us. Let us do as that Samaritan woman did. Let us go and shout out to all the world. Isn't He the Messiah? For He's told me about everything I've ever done in all my life. Shall we close our eyes and pray? Lord Jesus, we have heard that there is nothing hidden before your eyes. You know all our secrets. Lord, work, send your light into our lives. To enlighten and expose everything that your blood might be able to wash away and cleanse us. Amen. Young people, the Bible says when Jesus returns, He'll judge even our thoughts. He said, of all that was said, you should not murder. But He said, if I say, if you only swear at your brother and you call him by a bad name, you've already murdered him. And you've heard that it was said, thou shalt not commit adultery. But He said, I tell you, if a man so much as looks at a woman with a lustful eye, he's already committed adultery. Do you understand who Jesus is? Do you understand, do you see who the Messiah is? Let us expose everything of our lives. Let's come to the cross, let's confess our sin, that His blood might cleanse us and wash it away.
