Sermon Summary
In this video, the speaker expresses deep concern and sadness over a preacher who has embraced a movement that the speaker believes is ungodly and delusional. The speaker questions what could have caused this blindness in the preacher, suggesting that it may be the love of money. The speaker references 1st Timothy chapter 6, highlighting the warning against perverse disputings and the danger of being entangled in the pollutions of the world after escaping them through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. The speaker also mentions watching a video that stirred them, depicting a movement where people are encouraged to live however they want without any constraints, promising prosperity and God's presence. The speaker compares this to the prophets of Baal and the one man, Elijah, who remained true to God amidst the deception.

Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honor and abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab. And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramoth Gilead. And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth Gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people, and we will be with thee in the war. And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire I pray thee at the word of the Lord today. Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets, four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, for God will deliver it into the king's hand. But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might inquire of him? And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, but I hate him. For he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil. The same is Micaiah the son of Imlah. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. And the king of Israel called for one of his officers and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah. And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria. And all the prophets, that's four hundred of them, prophesied before them. And Zedekiah the son of Canaan had made him horns of iron and said, Thus saith the Lord, with these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed. And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to the realm of Gilead and prosper, for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king. And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent, or in other words, with one accord. Let thy word, therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good. And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak. And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Rameth-Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand. And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the Lord? Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains as sheep that have no shepherd. And the Lord said, These have no master, and let them return, therefore, every man to his house in peace. And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil? Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord. I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the hosts of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left. And the Lord said, Who shall entice Ahab, king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Rameth-Gilead? And one spake, saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner. Then there came out a spirit and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him. And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith, or in other words, how? And he said, I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail. Go out and do even so. Now therefore, this is Micah speaking, Behold, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord has spoken evil against thee. Jehoshaphat was king of Judah, a man, I believe, that the Lord loved. And he had gone down and gotten mixed up with Ahab, the king of Israel. Now Ahab lived in Samaria, and Samaria by its very nature means mixture. Ahab was a man who was living in a place of mixture. And the prophets that he had gathered around him were also living in that place of mixture. And finally God said, I've had enough of this, and I'm determined to send Ahab up to a place where he's going to fall. I'm going to take Ahab to slaughter. I've had enough of his leadership, I've had enough of the lies of the mixture that's in his life and in his ministry. And so I've purposed in my heart to set a snare for him, and to put him in a place of disaster. Now Ahab, it was in his heart to go up and to fight against the king of Syria. And in heaven we see something going on, a council taking place at the throne of the Lord. And the Lord says, who will go up and entice Ahab, king of Israel, to go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And finally out of the multitude comes forth a spirit, and he says, I will go and I'll be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, you will go, you will entice him, and you will also prevail against him. These are the words of Micah that he's speaking to both Jehoshaphat and Ahab. There are 400 lying prophets standing before the throne, making their horns of iron, and talking about how the king is going to go up and prosper. And that's always, you look through biblical history just prior to judgment, prior to God moving his hand against something that has grieved his heart, there's a message that will arise in the mouths of men who are liars, and have never heard from the Lord. And that message will always be the same, go up and prosper. In other words, do whatever is in your heart to do, don't restrain yourself from anything, live any way you want to live, and you go up and you're going to prosper, and the Lord's going to be with you, and everything's going to go just fine. 400 liars standing before the throne of the king, and yet in the midst of it all, just like in the days of the prophets of Baal, 450 of them dancing around an altar of their own making. Into the midst of it all comes one man who still holds true to God, one man who still has a trace of the truth left within his soul. Elijah. And in this day it was Micah who came, and refused to go along with what everybody else was saying. Refused to tell the king that he was going to go into a place when his heart was in a place of mixture. I tell you, it doesn't matter what you set your hand to. When you're living in a place of mixture, you're not going to prosper. The hand of God is never going to be with you. The book of Jeremiah. Turn there please, Jeremiah chapter 23. The Lord speaks about those in every generation that rise up and have a lying spirit within them. They claim to be prophets, and in many cases establish themselves in a position of leadership. You see, theirs was a gospel of slaughter. They were preaching a gospel that was preparing Ahab and all of his followers for slaughter. The Lord says through Jeremiah, in Jeremiah chapter 23 verse 21, I have not sent these prophets, and yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. In verse 22, he's talking about what the sign of a true prophet of God really is. But if they had stood in my counsel, and caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. The Lord is saying through Jeremiah, this is the mark of a true prophet of God. This is the mark of a true man or woman of God. If they had stood in my counsel, they're not going to tell those living in mischief to go up and you're going to prosper. They're going to warn them of what happens when you live in willful rebellion to God. They're going to cause the people to hear the words of the Lord, and turn them from the evil of their doings, and then they shall know victory in their walk with God. Verse 29, he's talking about his word now. He says, is not my word like a fire, says the Lord? Is it not like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Is that not what I send my word to do? Does it not come and hammer against the stony heart with the water of God's word, and melt down and break down that stony heart, and give us a heart of flesh? Does not the word of God make us moldable in the hand of God, and causes us to die to our own will, and die to our own desires, and die to all foolishness, and come to a place where we say, Lord Jesus, I want you to take my life, I want you to use my life, whether it's in pleasure or in pain, over my life I give you rain, it doesn't matter, oh God. Everything I am, everything I have is yours, let me share your heart, let your eternal purposes be fulfilled in my life. We talked tonight about Rwanda, oh God, if you want me to go, I prayed that prayer last week, I began to read certain articles, I said, God, if you want me to go, I'll go. If you want me to stand in the midst of these horrible camps, filled with disease, God, make a way and I'll go, and I'll stand there and preach the gospel. That's the two pie in the heart of a servant of the Lord. Therefore, he says in verse 30, he says, behold, I am against the prophets, says the Lord, that steal my words, every one from his neighbor. I am against the prophets, says the Lord, that use their tongues, and says he saith. Behold, in verse 32, he says, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err, or in other words, and cause my people to go on a wrong path, by their lies, and by their likeness, by their likeness, by their likeness, that's how you know them, by their lies, and by their likeness. It was a serious hour. It was a time of battle. It was a time when God was setting up Ahab for a slaughter. And these men were used, in this case of the Lord, to send this man into a place of slaughter with their lies and their likeness. There are so few people today that seem to be concerned about the ominous warnings of coming delusion upon the church and upon the nations in the last days, the last hours of time. I think everybody here tonight would agree, we're living in the last days. I don't think there's any disputing that anymore. The signs are increasing continually. There's earthquakes and famines and the things that the Lord spoke about. But one of the signs that absolutely convinces me that we're living in the last days is the gospel of slaughter that's being preached throughout much of North America right now. The Lord said that there would be a coming delusion. Let me read it to you. Matthew chapter 24. He says, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. And many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive even the very elect. Paul says in 2 Timothy chapter 4, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. But after their own lusts, they shall heap to themselves teachers having itching ears. In other words, they will never be able to hear enough. It will get deeper and deeper and deeper into foolishness, deeper and deeper into delusion. And it says, And they shall turn away, Paul said, their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables. These are warnings. They're strong warnings in the Word of God that these things are going to come upon the church and society in the last days. The Apostle Paul says in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, listen to it now, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. In other words, what they wanted was their brand of truth. They wanted the gospel. They wanted salvation. But they wanted absolutely no cross. They wanted no cross to this thing at all. They rejected the truth of Christ. They rejected the claim of Christ upon their lives. And it says, For this cause, verse 11, God, not the devil, shall send upon them strong delusion that they should believe a lie, that they all might be damned who believe not the truth, but have pleasure in unrighteousness. God, in the last days, shall send delusion on all those who refuse to receive an embracing of the love of the truth of Jesus Christ. I was on my way home yesterday evening and I picked up at a grocery store a magazine, Time magazine, and on the front cover was pictures of piles of children in Rwanda, stampeded, starving, dying. And the caption on the front of the magazine is, This is the beginning of the final days. This is the apocalypse. Isn't it ironic that secular writers are prophesying? In that magazine, I cut out an article, just one little clip. It says, The Census Bureau released a report showing that out-of-wedlock births, now this is in the United States, are skyrocketing. In 1993, about 6.3 million children in the U.S., or more than a quarter of those under 18, lived with a single parent who had never married. In contrast, to 3.4 million in 1983, and only 243,000 in 1960. We're living in a society with suicide bounding, people coming to the end of everything that they've tried, and all that's left is to take their lives. Drug abuse is rampant. Immoral elements in society are pushing their various agendas in our schools upon our children. We are living in an age and hour when we're seeing the absolute breakdown of an entire society. With all my heart, I would say that the path that American society is going on, there's going to be violence, incredible difficulty coming in the not-too-distant future. In the midst of it all, secular writers are crying out, U.N. Secretary General Putros Putrosgali has reported in this magazine of saying, we've come to a place where they're not even sure whether or not the U.N. can do anything anymore. There just seems to be so much going on in so many places. We are limited in our resources to help, and maybe it's better just to let some of these things run their course. This is the beginning of the final days. And now, a laughing revival has broken out in North America. A laughing revival. I just find it so hard to laugh. Looking at those children, thinking about our societies, and hearing the cries of children in their homes at night. The Lord hears them. Mom and Dad coming home, drunk and drugged up and beating each other up. Little children crying out, wondering if there is a God being fed lies day in and day out, even in their own school systems. I find it so hard to laugh. Oh yes, I have joy in my salvation. And I thank God that I'm saved and I can rejoice and I can come into the house of the Lord and clap my hands. But there comes a time when I've got to share the heart of God. I have a question for you tonight. Do you think that God is laughing at this moment in heaven? Knowing that eternity is at the door and multiple millions of people are about to perish. Going through an eternity in hell without God. Not only suffer separation from God, but suffer the wrath of God for eternity. Do you think God is laughing at this moment? Do you think Jesus Christ is holding His sides and rolling on the floor in uproarious laughter at this moment in heaven? Do you? Do you think that Jesus is holding His sides and laughing? The Bible says that He ever lives to make intercession. Does the Scripture not tell us that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to exalt Christ? It's to make Him known and to reveal His heart to this generation. It's the heart of Christ at this moment I believe that causes God the Father to hold off even for one more day. While there's still one soul somewhere, while there's still one young one crying out, one mom that wants to know God, one drunken father that's crying out into all he knows is emptiness. If there is a God, can you help me? It's the heart of Christ that causes His Father to hold off for one more day. One more day! And it's the Holy Spirit's job to reveal the heart of Christ to this church, to this church age, to this generation. Folks, it's not a time to be laughing. If ever it was a time to weep for living in a narrow one, we need to weep more than we laugh. We need to ask God for His will for our lives. We need to say, Lord, we're living at the very threshold of eternity. People are dying by the millions. My covenant God, is there anything that I can do? Is there some way that I can help? Is there something that I'm missing, O God? Is there something You want me to do? I consider it reasonable to lay my life down as a living sacrifice, as You laid Your life down for me. Look at the womb where the so-called move of the Spirit has found nourishment. I've traveled the ministry circuit over the last several years and have seen a lot of it firsthand. Ministries that are riddled with proven error, false prophets and false prophecies, foolish teaching, ships that have long ago proven that they have no course and they have no rudder. Carried about endlessly of whatever wind comes into the house of God. Away they go with some new thing. And this is the womb where this thing has been birthed. Look at the book of 2 Peter with me, please, in the New Testament. 2 Peter chapter 2. The Apostle Peter warns. All the writers in the New Testament warn of this day that we're living in. 2 Peter chapter 2, verse 13. And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness as they that count it pleasure to riot in the daytime. Spots are they in blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you. Having eyes, verse 14, full of adultery that cannot cease from sin, beguiling unstable souls, a heart they have exercised with covetous practices, cursed children, which have forsaken the right way and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam, the son of Bozor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness. Balaam was sent to prophesy for money. And that's what the Scripture is speaking about. This is where this whole movement got its inception, through false prophets that chose to prophesy for money rather than hear from God. Verse 16 says, But he was rebuked for his iniquity, the dumb ass speaking with man's voice, forbade the madness of the prophet. Verse 17, These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with the tempest, to whom the midst of darkness is reserved forever. They're not just misguided brethren, folks. They are heathen that are leading much of what calls itself by the name of Jesus Christ in this hour. And they're not going to heaven. They're going into a place of darkness that is reserved for them forever. Verse 18 says, For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those who are clean from them and escape them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they're always talking about freedom, they're always talking about abundant life, they're always talking about faith, they're always talking about great liberty. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption. Has not time borne witness to this Scripture in the last decade? Have we not seen this? Have we not watched these tensile kingdoms begin to fall one after another? For of whom a man is overcome of the same as he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, that after they have known it to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it has happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog has turned to his own vomit again, and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. I saw a video yesterday that so stirred me, so caused me to tremble. I watched this movement in its inception and where it found its birthplace. And I watched a pastor who has embraced this movement. I watched him stand up after this thing has gone on for several months. And he is preaching the gospel. And the sad thing is this man knew the Lord. And you can tell he's got roots of holiness. You can tell that within him there was at one time a holy cry for God. And it's so sad. I sat there and I just shook inside. I said, my covenant God, what happened to this man? And while he's preaching, there's this eerie, hellish laughter going on all around him. He stands up and tries to preach the gospel. And all you can hear is this laughter. It's so loud that it's the most incredible thing. I called somebody last night. I said, I watched this video. And I said, it's like watching somebody prepare something out of a nightmare. Standing up and trying to talk about righteousness and trying to talk about holiness. And there's this eerie, hellish laughter going on the whole time. So loud that nobody can understand what he's saying. And I thought, my God! My God! That's what it's going to be like in heaven, in hell, for preachers who die without Christ. Going to stand there in the blackness preaching the gospel for eternity, listening to this eerie, hellish laughter all around him. Mocking spirits, mocking the Word of God. Doesn't Scripture itself teach us that God is not the author of confusion? Where is discernment in this generation? Folks, you don't even have to have discernment anymore to see it. The average man, unsaved, out on the streets of New York, working with a jackhammer, would turn it off and watch this and know it's out of order. Even nature itself tells you that when a man speaks, you listen. I said, God, how is it possible? How is it possible? And they make a big display of the fact that there are psychologists and doctors and lawyers in the church that have embraced this thing. But I was in Guyana, South America, three years ago, and I want to remind you that psychologists and doctors and lawyers drank poison. Where is the discernment? I said, God, you don't have to have discernment to see this. I would have known this was out of order before I got saved. Where is the discernment? Can you imagine somebody coming into this church and I'm preaching the way I am now and all you hear is this eerie laughter. It's not even holy. I was sharing with somebody this morning, you go into a restaurant sometimes for a meal and there's people at a table that have just told a dirty joke and there's a certain type of laughter that comes up. It's an unholy laughter. You can hear it. And then there's another type of laughter when somebody has perhaps just talked about their son or their daughter doing something funny and everybody laughs. And you haven't heard the story, but by the laughter you know that it's a nice little story and people are just laughing. But when I listened to this video, I heard this unholy laughter like a dirty joke had just been told. It's so ungodly. It's so incredibly foolish that the only thing you can say is, my God, it's an absolute delusion. It's like a blanket of blindness is falling over all of these people. I asked myself as this man preached, I said, God, what blinded him? Lord, what blinded this man? Was it the love of money? What was it? It was so sad watching this man who once loved the Lord stand there making a virtual fool of himself. Look at the book of 1 Timothy please, chapter 6. Oh God, was it the love of money? What is it that causes this blindness? 1 Timothy 6, beginning at verse 5. Listen to these ominous words. Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness, from such withdraw thyself. That's where it all began. It began with that gospel that said godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness, verse 6, with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment and clothing, let us be there with content. Verse 9 says, But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from what? From the faith. It's not that they've erred from being a heathen, or they've erred from the halls of government. They have erred from the faith. They have erred from following Christ. The love of money has brought a blindness on them. And they have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, verse 11, O men of God, flee these things and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. God, was it the love of money? And I looked at him in absolute shock and horror and disbelief. I said, Lord, was it bitterness? What turned this man? You had to have seen this thing to understand the absolute horror of the tenant standing trying to preach the gospel and can't preach it because of the mocking laughter. Was it bitterness? The Scripture warns us that we're to look within ourselves and make sure that nobody allows a root of bitterness to grow within them and thereby many be defiled. Was it unforgiveness? Did somebody hurt this man? Was he harmed by leadership over him? Did somebody do something and he harbored it within himself and refused to forgive them? Because Jesus said, if you will not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your heavenly Father forgive your trespasses. Did unforgiveness cut him off from the grace of God? What blinded this man? Was it rebellion? Was it the sin of Saul? Was he just a good idea man? Was he a man who thought his own ways would produce better results than simple obedience to God? That's what Saul was and that's why it cost him the kingdom. When Samuel came to Saul, Saul said, I have obeyed the commandment of the Lord. He wasn't even aware he had disobeyed God. He wasn't even aware he was cut off. He just had a good idea. God said, kill them all, I'll just save the best and sacrifice them to the Lord. The Lord requires simple obedience of us. He doesn't want good idea people in His house. He wants us to obey His Word. He wants us to find His will and walk in His will. There'll be those that hear this message and they'll tell you that this is just the voice of another critical spirited preacher out in the wilderness crying repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. They will tell you that their gospel will go on in spite of the cry and warning of those voices that are warning the nation about it. And you know the sad thing is that they're absolutely right. Their gospel will go on. It's a gospel of slaughter. It's been sent by God to judge the carnality of a self-seeking, cross-hating, self-exalting ministry in all of their followers. In the name of Jesus Christ, before this whole generation. 2 Chronicles 18.21 says, And He said, I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all of Ahab's prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him and thou shalt also prevail. There's an enticing spirit that's been sent out by the Lord. There's no other explanation for this. It's an absolute delusion that's come upon the house of the Lord. Likeness and lies. Foolishness. Purporting itself to be the Spirit of God. In the last days living, when all of wickedness and evil breaking out in the face of the earth. In an hour when God's people have got to be preparing themselves and crying out for the presence and Spirit of God like never before in their lives. All of the world is in moving and known revival and a laughing revival breaks out in North America. I have a friend of mine that's a missionary and he's been traveling over five years on the very cutting edge of what God's doing throughout the world. He's been in Eastern Bloc countries just after the wall came down. He's been moving in Russia with an organization that is channeling and funneling in hundreds and thousands of Bibles and textbooks into the school system. He's been working in China. He's just come back from China recently. He's been in Vietnam. He's been in places all over the world where God's breaking out in revival. Incredible services that go on for days. When he was in China he shared with us that they would disband one meeting because the meetings are illegal and everybody would pray and know where to meet the next night with no forewarning, no notices because there are too many plans. The only people that can find the meetings are people who have the Spirit of the Lord within them. He speaks of seasons of prayer of weeping and fasting and repenting crying out for their brethren that yet don't know Christ, crying out for America, crying out for other nations. There's an incredible move of God's Spirit. There's an intense conviction. There's deep repentance. The Word of God is precious and longed for and every heart is open for the moving of God. He was invited into Canada a couple of weeks ago and he went to two churches in Canada that have embraced this laughing revival. And he stood up in the churches and said, you people, you don't have revival here at all. This is not revival. I've been revivalist and I'm going to tell you what revival is all about. He told us, he said, I don't care what they thought of me. They'll obviously never ask me back. But I can't, basically he was saying, can't stand there and be silent in the midst of this foolishness going on in North America and the house of God. They're all saying, go up and prosper. But Micah stood there and he said, I see all Israel scattered upon the mountains as sheep that have no shepherds. I see all Israel scattered upon the mountains. And I stand here today with a grieving heart before the Lord. I see many, many of these people, people who would have had tremendous potential in the kingdom of God. I see the underbelly of this movement being eventually exposed and the rottenness within is going to come to the surface and people are going to understand that they've fallen to delusion. I see many of these people scattered on the mountains as sheep without a shepherd in the coming days and years. It's been with us, this lying spirit for well over a decade, a lying spirit in the mouth of lying prophets and now it's giving birth to the greatest delusion of them all. Yet I believe about a third, at least the prophet Zechariah says a third of the people are going to come through it. They're going to be put into the purging fire and they're going to come out saying the Lord is my God and God will say they're my people. If in the future somebody is listening to this message by tape, I challenge you with all my heart to fall on your knees and beg God to speak to your heart right now. Beg God for revelation. Say Lord Jesus, is this true? Is this a delusion? Am I living under a delusion? Am I following prophets of Baal? Am I following those that have been deluded by a lying spirit sent to judge all of the carnality in God's house throughout North America? I see in my spirit the Lord has said enough. It's gone far enough. All of the carnality and all of the foolishness. Not only have you polluted yourselves, but you're polluting the world. And the Lord is saying I'm putting an end to it all. I'm going to put a lying spirit in the mouths of these prophets and send delusion that even the world will know, even the heathen, even those laying on the streets that are drug infested will know that it's foolishness. I beg you in the name of Jesus to ask the Lord, those that are in this house, to protect you from this thing. So Jesus, give me such a love for the truth, such a yearning, such a desire. Let me count my life nothing before you. Keep me out of the sensory realm. Keep me in the realm of the spirit. Listen to the Apostle Paul. Turn to the Philippians, please, chapter 3. Listen to the Apostle Paul. Verse 17. He says, Brethren, Philippians 3.17 Be followers together of me and mark them which walk so as you have us for an example. For many walk, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. You see, you notice here in this scripture, it doesn't say that they call themselves the enemies of Christ. They're the enemies of the cross of Christ. And everything the cross of Christ represents in the life of the believer. They have a cross-less theology. The whole gospel is bless me, bless me, bless me, bless me, bless me. Never what can I do for you, Lord. No sacrifice is too much for you, Lord Jesus. You don't find people coming out of this place of this particular gospel with a burden for the lost and a willingness to lay everything down that they own, that the gospel of Christ may go forward and touch the lives of those that are being trampled by sin in the last hour of time. They're enemies of the cross whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly. It's what can I fill myself with tonight? What new thing can I learn? What new blessing can come upon me? And whose glory is their shame who mind earthly things. For our conversation is in heaven from whence we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. Paul is saying, follow me. Follow the walk that I have before the Lord. And mark those that walk this way for an example for you to follow. That's what Paul was saying. He knew that a lascivious gospel was going to come into the church. He knew that wolves were going to rise after he left the church of Ephesus and draw away after themselves. He knew that they would come in. That their gospel was a carnal gospel. It was a lying delusion that would give birth to more delusion and deeper delusion and deeper delusion and deeper delusion. He knew where it came from. And he says, so mark my life and be followers together of me and mark also all them which walk in the same manner as I do, Paul said. In other words, he was saying, follow me as I follow Christ. 1 Corinthians 4, please. Go back in your Bibles. 1 Corinthians 4. Verse 15. He says, For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you have not many fathers. For in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. Now go to 2 Corinthians. I want to look at Paul's life for a minute. 2 Corinthians 11. Verse 3. But I fear, lest by any means as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him. In other words, the Apostle Paul is saying, I'm concerned about you. I'm concerned that your walk needs to be steadfast. You need to understand the simplicity of Christ. You need to understand the simplicity of the cross. You need to understand the simplicity of Christ's call and claim upon your life. If you refuse this, if you turn from this path of God's leading and claim upon your life, somebody coming and preaching another Jesus just might ensnare you. And you might begin to receive another Christ and another gospel, which is not the gospel that I have brought to you. This is what Paul is talking about. Verse 13. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of life. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. Verse 23. Are they ministers of Christ? Now Paul is speaking about them. I speak as a fool. I am more. Now listen to Paul's life. In labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths often, of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one, thrice I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep, in journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren, in weariness, in painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness, besides those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Paul was giving evidence that through his life, he had embraced the cross of Jesus Christ. It is no longer I who lives. Paul said, it is Christ who lives within me. I count the things of this world but done, that I may win Christ and be found in Him when He comes at His appearing. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Philippians chapter 4. I'll just read it to you. Verse 1. He says, Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved, and long for my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. The harvest was Paul's joy. Serving God was Paul's joy. Even though he was in a prison with Silas, and even though his back was bruised and bleeding, and he's lying on a cold slab of stone, he still at midnight could worship God. And God could pour down His Spirit through Paul and Silas and loose the bands of all those that were in prison. That's what real joy is all about. It's not rolling on the floor somewhere, pretending in the sensual realm that you have got God as everything in your life. It's serving Him. It's living for Him. It's loving Him with all your heart. It's letting no cost be too great that the gospel of Christ may go to those that have a need in this generation. That's what living for God is all about. And for those that refuse to embrace the cross of Christ, they have no joy. The only thing left for them is the sensual realm. Seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting and touching. Because they haven't got Christ within them, they have to start looking for Him without. And they become subject to the sensual realm. And that's the realm that the enemy operates in. That's the realm where the devil can come in and have a heyday. Jesus said in the last days, they are going to come and perform such signs and wonders, these lying, deceiving prophets, that they will deceive, if possible, even the very elect of God. You and I have got to get out totally of the sensual realm and get into the realm of the Spirit. You can't get into the realm of the Spirit until you embrace the cross. And you can't embrace the cross until you embrace the heart of the One who sent His only Son to pay a horrible price for sin. It's only reasonable that you and I should give our lives for the cause of Christ. We look at this and we ought not to be praying, Lord, send somebody, do something about it. While we run from church to church holding our sides laughing, rolling on the floor. It's Lord Jesus. It says in here that hundreds of thousands are going to die. Such a great harvest, so few laborers. My covenant God, speak to my heart. If it's me you want to go, make a way and let me know. Burden my heart with it, oh God. Open the doors. If I die, I die. I choose to live for God. I choose to serve Him with my life. And my chief joy will be seeing people come to God. My chief joy will be seeing sinners saved. And when I rejoice, it's not going to be in some carnal sensual meeting down in backslidden North America. I'm going to rejoice with the angels over every sinner that repents in the house of God. The Apostle John said in 3 John, I have no greater joy than to know that my children walk in truth. Jude, please, the last scripture. The last book in the New Testament before the book of Revelation. Verse 17. But beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. They walk in the sensory realm. They're obsessed with feeling the presence of the Spirit. But they've shunned the call and the claim of Christ upon their lives. But ye, verse 20 says, ye beloved, building up yourselves on the most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And if some have compassion making a difference, and others save them with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment that's spotted by the flesh. Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Stand please. It's not wrong to desire joy. It's not wrong to want to be happy. But it is wrong, as a disciple of Jesus Christ, to be looking for that joy without any cost of the cross in your life. Without any cost of discipleship. Without any obedience. If this is the way you walk, you open your life up to delusion. Sensory joy. You become a service junkie. You have to go from one fix to another. Because there's nothing inside of you. You go on with this foolishness for two or three years, and you end up scattered on the mountains. Because nothing inside you changes. You can only put up with this nonsense for so long. Lord, if you're looking for joy tonight, there's a way to get it. It comes from serving Him. It comes from opening this book and letting it become an x-ray machine to examine your life. It doesn't come from some fat-bellied preacher coming from some other place sticking his foot on your chest and telling you to stop praying and start laughing. It comes from serving Him. There's a deep abiding joy of the Spirit. That you can go into this terrible place and still in the midst of it, still experience the joy of the Lord. Because it's not anything without you, it's within you. It comes from embracing Him. Living from Him. Serving Him. Loving Him with all your heart. Desiring Him. It really starts the day that you say, if I die serving you, I would rather die than live for myself. That's the day an abiding joy comes into your life. It's an abandonment to God. I'm going to open this altar tonight for those who want real joy. Firstly, for those who want protection from this delusion. I warn you, and even though I warn you and Pastor Wilkerson has warned you Sunday morning, there will still be some that will leave and you're going to be ensnared. So sad. God's Spirit's here. God's Word's here. You've heard from the Lord and yet you'll still go. Because something within you is saying no to the cross of Christ. And it's a gathering of all those that have put the name of Christ to reproach throughout North America. It's a gospel of slaughter. Preparing them for slaughter. Like the lying gospel sent to Ahab to cause him to go up to Samaria and fall at the hands of his enemies. When darkness breaks out and incredible violence against society, those people that have sat in those meetings are going to have absolutely nothing to stand against it. On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is shifting sand. Whether it's an experience, whether it's a movement, if it's not founded upon the solidness of Christ, it's not going to stand. Would you please come? If God's spoken to your heart tonight. Would you come? You want protection from this thing. And you want a deep, abiding, and lasting joy in your life. Would you come? And we're going to pray together. A deep joy. A lasting joy. It only comes from abandonment. Would you come? It's been hard to preach this message tonight. But I stand here in obedience to God. I wrestled with Him on the rug of my apartment until 2 o'clock this morning. Would you come? You don't have to embrace everything that calls itself by the name of Christ. Ask God for discernment. This thing is going to try to come and sweep every church in America. But by God's grace, it will not get beyond the outer doors in this church. I want you to pray this prayer with me. Lord, I desire joy. I'm not here looking for a quick fix. Let my joy come from loving You, from knowing Your heart, from embracing You, and Your will, and Your plan for my life. Let it come from responding to You in obedience, presenting my life before You as a living sacrifice, from seeing You work through me in bringing others into the kingdom of God. Lord Jesus, help me to lead a sober and a godly life. Give me a genuine joy in knowing that I am wholeheartedly Yours, and You are wholeheartedly mine. May I rejoice in my salvation and rejoice with the angels as the lost around me find You, as I have as their Savior. Amen. This is the conclusion of the tape.
