Seeing God as Our King
Will Galkin

William David Galkin (date of birth unknown – ) is an American preacher, evangelist, and pastor whose ministry has transitioned from itinerant evangelism to church planting and revitalization in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born into a Christian family, likely in the Midwest, Galkin grew up immersed in ministry, influenced by his parents’ musical and preaching talents—his mother a violin performance major and his father a gifted speaker. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Bob Jones University and is completing a Doctor of Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, with a dissertation focused on church revitalization in Utah, reflecting his academic and practical commitment to the Gospel. Galkin’s preaching career began in 2005 with Galkin Evangelistic Ministries, where he, his wife Christy, and their five children—Anna Grace, William, Lydia, Karis, and Samuel—traveled the U.S. in a 53-foot trailer for nearly 15 years. Leading a team of musicians and speakers, he preached nightly at churches, camps, and colleges, blending sermons with Irish music performances to encourage local congregations and reach the lost. In 2012, he co-founded Gospel Grace Church in Salt Lake City, initially as part of this itinerant work, before settling there full-time in 2019. As pastor for Church Planting and Revitalization, he oversees Plant for the Gospel, facilitating new church plants like Gospel Hope (2017) and Gospel Peace (2020), and now leads a revitalization effort in Rose Park (2024). His preaching, rooted in expository style, emphasizes gospel-centered discipleship and community outreach, often drawing from passages like Philippians 1 and Ephesians 4.

Take your Bibles and turn to Isaiah chapter 6 Isaiah chapter 6 We see how a vision of God cut through Isaiah's earthy view of Reality We are so connected with what we see That it's hard for us to even hear God speak. I'm not Accusing I'm testifying. I Believe I believe this is real Too much I See these things and I am too anchored to this world See Paul told us the things which you see are temporal But the things that you cannot see that's what's eternal Isaiah 6 in the year that King Uzziah died. I saw also the Lord Sitting upon a throne high and lifted up and his train filled The temple Above us stood the seraphims each one had six wings with twain He covered his face and with twain he covered his feet and with twain he did fly Then one cried unto the other and said holy Holy holy is the Lord of hosts The whole earth is full of his glory and the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried and the room filled With smoke then said I woe is me for I am undone because I'm a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips for mine eyes Have seen that King the Lord of hosts then flew one of the seraphims unto me having a live coal in his hand Which he'd taken With tongs from off the altar and he laid it upon my mouth and said Lo, this has touched thy lips and thy iniquity has taken away and thy sin purged And then I heard the voice of Lord saying whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then said I Hear my send me Father I pray that you would take My weaknesses and you would magnify your strength Father thank you that your word is a hammer a light a sword Father you have used the testimony of that dear brother To push my heart even tonight to hunger For more of your people who would live for eternity Lord help me to live that way in Jesus name Amen spring of 97 While traveling to Vangis Steve Pettit, we came to a church in Alexandria, Virginia A man came up to us. He looked like He looked like he didn't work Maybe the job that he did work because it turns out that he was the head of the Secret Service for the White House He's just dressed in plain old clothes and he came up to us and how would you like to go on a special? VIP tour and we went to the White House at the right time and he told us to go to the West Wing but the guards there said all all tours are on the East Wing and we said no this man by the Name of Bill Ludkey told us to come to the West Wing and you all know it's not what you know. It's No sooner did we say say Bill Ludkey and these soldiers or Secret Service men snapped to attention and they begin to get on A phone a red phone and then they put the phone down and the gate swings open And one of the gentlemen said you're going a special VIP tour Benjamin Netanyahu is the Prime Minister of Israel just two weeks earlier had walked through this same gate and then Yasser Arafat the head of the PLO at that time walked to the same gate a week later and here's Will Galkin from Idaho coming into the White House We're walking in and Bill Ludkey. He's telling us this is where the the State Department would have special meetings with some envoy Envoys and then the the vice president He just met with these these people from these foreign countries and I'm just in awe we walked into the press room And there's that press box that whenever there's an announcement from the White House It shows that presidential seal and there I'm standing right behind it There's 30 press corps out there and they're just staring at me and I'm just smiling Lady by the name of Betty Curry. I don't know if you remember her, but she was President Clinton's personal secretary and she said Bill If you'd like to come into the Oval Office you have could have a couple minutes the president is currently out Still remember walking into the Oval Office rich blue carpet light yellow pastel walls big old Presidential seal right in the middle of the floor and I'm thinking if only mama could see me now I mean, I'm a patriotic boy. I mean, I've always loved the USA I mean, I'd go I'd read all sorts of military history. I'm thinking I can't believe this We didn't even really believe we'd get to go in there I'm wearing my jeans and my Idaho flannel to run around DC in a cold Wintery day and now I'm standing right here in the room that the president United States makes all of his decisions And I'm just soaking in this moment. It was a surreal and then it shattered I had a friend whose name is Peter Blake. He's an Australian He traveled with us and he wasn't having the same patriotic feelings that I was having because he's not an American He's an Australian and he just said hey Do you think it'd be okay for me to sit in that chair and you all take a picture of me? I think we almost had fried Barbie Ozzie right there. You know, we almost put him right on the barbecue and just cooked him We said no There's no way we're gonna let you sit in the chair of the president United States of America You see my friend Peter As much as I loved him. He was failing to see the position of the president United States with any sense of respect. I Believe there's a far greater problem And it's this that many of us we failed to see God as our king in fact when you look at this text of scripture you see that God is in his kingship and all of the Verbiage and all the word pictures and when you see God as your king, you will be convinced of his supremacy When you see God as your king, you'll be convicted of sinfulness when you see God as your king You'll be constrained into his service. It's time to see God as your king He's the one that reigns. He's the one that commands. He's the one that's in charge From number one when you see God as your king, you'll be convinced of his supremacy you here in the text of scripture We find that he's supreme in his power in the year that King Uzziah died I saw also Lord sitting upon a throne high and lifted up and his train filled the temple God's power is so great if for a moment you could peel back your Temporal eyes and gaze past the clouds of heaven and see God sitting upon his eternal throne It would cut through all things Electronic look at me for a second Have you ever realized how much your brain? Has been programmed Not to see the king. It's hard for us to become sober It's easy for us to be giddy It's hard for us to look into eternity It's easy for us to sit down and play the game To sit down and press the remote to sit down and turn the dial on our iPod It's easy for us to plug into this world It's hard for us to see the king But if you could for a moment see the king you would be convinced that he girls look up here You'd be convinced that he is supreme and power. He sits upon a throne He's high and lifted up. There is no one else that reigns over the kingdom There is no one else. You see earthly kings. They come and go our presidents They're elected every four years, but there's a king that inhabits eternity eternity past eternity future You can't comprehend them in time. You can't comprehend them in size. You can't comprehend them in power. You can't comprehend God He short-circuits your brain. Have you ever tried to explain the Trinity to a three-year-old? But daddy, he's he's one God yes, he's God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit so he's three gods No, he's one God, but you said he's three gods. No, he's one God I can't explain it to him because I don't know though. I can give the illustrations if I can quite comprehend it myself You ever sat there and contemplate that nobody ever created God. Have you ever thought that he was not born? How many of you ever ever thought thoughts like that and you felt your brain short-circuit Okay, he's gonna be forever ten years a hundred He's all-powerful he's supreme in his power he sits upon a throne there's no one greater than God he's high and lifted up It's not talking about geography It means that of him and to him and through him are all things that were created his train fills the temple the Royalness of God it would take your breath away That's Why I love getting out into creation have you ever been to the Grand Canyon anyone ever been there before You were taking a walk and there you're standing on the south rim of the Grand Canyon and you're staring 15 miles wide and One mile deep and you look down and you start to get queasy cuz you don't like heights That wasn't even a scratch with God's finger now. You ever been the Rocky Mountains? You were just gazed at those 14 those 14,000 foot peaks you ever been an airplane across the Atlantic Ocean and thoughts like If this plane went down But a small drop in the bucket of God he is so vast He's so supreme and some of us we know these mental facts But all that God would come down even tonight and that he would awaken our senses That we would no longer refer to him in a flippant sense Oh that we would see our God and let the greatness of God take our breath away He created us and yet we though we became slaves to sin he bought us back he allows everything he can demand Anything you see the supremacy of God and the supremacy of his power it cuts through the relativism of this world Oh, I'll go my way you go your way it cuts through all of the isms The materialism because it's God that reigns is the earth that passes away It cuts through all of it. He's supreme in his power. Oh, we need God to open up our eyes We need God to quicken our senses. We need a touch of God's revival on our heart We can come and sit in services we can come and listen to preaching but does it change us He's supreme in his purity. He has these angels verse 2 It says above it stood the seraphims each one had six wings with two We covered his face and with twain or two he covered his feet and with with twain He did fly and one cried unto the other and said holy. Holy. Holy is the Lord God of hosts The whole earth is full of his glory these angels These mighty creatures of God seraphims. They were the defenders now the holiness of God Nothing but people would enter into his presence their very name means the fiery ones These were not little little chubby angels that had little wings and pampers with little harps, you know It's not Hallmark These angels they'd speak and door the door would begin to shake the room filled with smoke There's some pretty cool special effects If all sudden I'm like, I'm like making a point and also in the door goes wham Now make a point over here. Wham Pretty soon people start kind of sitting up I was listening one man described the Blue Angels anybody ever watched the Navy Blue Angels high-performance jet team f-18s They said they came together over the airfield there's only four of them in this little routine and then they pointed their noses straight down at the tarmac and the last second they Pulled back on the sticks and their f-18s and they went into four different directions and then they hit the afterburner He said as those four jets went in four different directions. They broke the sound barrier Simultaneously and the man standing on the tarmac He said sonic booms rolled off of those jets and as he's standing there on the asphalt He said the sonic booms just slammed into his chest He said it was awesome Here these four angels the four corners of the universe They're shouting one message. Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God of hosts the whole earth is full of his glory Oh the vastness and the power of God mingled in with the holiness of God is an elixir that would cause you to be crushed to see God and his power and his glory It cuts through the sinfulness that we live in it cuts through the flippancy that we drag in There's no room for the bitter for bitterness in the sight of God. There's no room for the rebellion when we see God There's no room for immorality. There's no room for a covetous spirit. Oh that we'd see God so many of us we make decisions at a prayer advance or a retreat or special services or Somebody it's our pastor speaks in a good message and we'll make a decision Can I tell you decisions are good, but what's needed beyond a decision is a right view of God It's easy to hate the consequences it's easy to feel guilty over some choice I made but it's hard to see God and Every day live in light of God. It's like living like Joseph. How can I do this in the sight of God? Every day a right view of God Results in us believing that he is supreme in his power and he's supreme in his purity But when you see God as your king, you will be secondly second of all You'll be thoroughly convicted of your sinfulness Isaiah said woe is me For I am undone Because I'm a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people unclean lips from mine eyes I've seen the king the Lord of hosts Isaiah sees the king and he sees his sinfulness and all he can do is confess Isaiah did not plead the Fifth Amendment. He did not giggle his way out of it He did not elbow the person sitting next to him. He simply said woe is me I am undone that word. Whoa, it's the it's the form of judgment The Prophet would preach two types of messages either blessed or woe and he takes his woe message and he's been preaching in context and Isaiah and he preaches his loudest message with his index finger and his finger of self-indictment and he says woe is me I am Undone the loudest message that will Galkin should ever preach should be right here teenager The loudest message you should preach is not for your parents to change but that you would change Woe is Me It's the unraveling of the soul. It's the guilt that overwhelms like a wave Have you ever been swimming and then a blindside wave comes from behind and takes you out? Gasping for air you are remember a time When I was grew up, I grew up in Idaho. And so we liked guns And we like to get outside and we like to shoot guns I still remember getting my first paintball gun and my parents Weren't sure about it and they laid down all sorts of rules And so we had the rules in place and nobody had a paintball gun So my sister in our Volkswagen van is driving me around Twin Falls, Idaho, and we made up our own game is called just shoot things There's a sign shoot There's a car. There's a boy about my age shoot shoot with a red paintball bad mistake I remember looking behind me and seeing somebody in a car with a little pad of paper and a pencil and My sister drops me off at the barber shop and I'm sitting there getting my hair cut and I'm just enjoying the nice little haircut And then she comes back into the barbershop and her face looks like death well You are For policemen pulled over my sister They were staying behind the doors of their car with their hands by their weapons Lady come out of the car Put your hands up they thought we shot and murdered a boy and They couldn't find the body and my sister's looking at me and she's saying will You're gonna go to the police station and you're gonna tell him you're the one that shot the boy And I walk into the Twin Falls Police Station and I've never been in there before I've never shot somebody before I'm not sure what to do I Walk up to the first lady. I said ma'am. I'm the one that shot the boy And they stick me in this room and it's cold and it's sterile and it looks like an interrogation room I'm just sitting there And finally the biggest meanest looking officer comes into the room And he sits across from me and about this time. I'm saying whoa is me I've been caught I Was guilty There was no way out When's the last time you were caught guilty before God When's the last time God peeled off the blinders of your eyes and and you saw your Deceit and you're lying not as a little oops and a little mistake But as that you would rather deceive God than be real with God I was talking to a man he'd committed adultery five times I'm talking to him. His face is just Glazed over. Yeah Yeah, I did yeah, so yeah, it was three single ladies and two married ladies Yeah, one of the one of the ladies her husband's in in Iraq said How's that make you feel someone's fighting for your freedom So he can mess around with his wife Said I would have met I never would have done it if I would have known that she was single I mean, I would have never done if I knew she was married I Said did you just hear yourself? You just said it was okay for you to cheat on your own wife as long as she was single and you didn't hurt her Husband, did you just hear yourself and all of a sudden the glaze starts tumbling down and all of a sudden the hardness of his Heart is falling down because all of a sudden he saw his God and he saw his sinfulness There's some of you you're you're angry at your parents and you're angry at mom or dad and you're like, yeah, what's the big deal? What's the problem? Well, why are you harping on this if you saw God that hardness and glaze would start to tumble down There were some of you even in the moral session as brother tozer was speaking to the boys And as I was talking to ladies, you're looking at me like what's the big deal if you saw God you'd see what the big deal is And the glaze and the hardness and the dullness my friend are you saved Do you know Christ? Are you secure in Christ or you one that said some words because you don't like the consequences of hell But you love your sin according to Jesus. He said except you repent. You should not enter in the kingdom of heaven Oh friend, are you in Christ? There's so much the hardness we listen to our music I just talked to a man there he is on his iPod He's got his computer. He's got music that is rap in nature and filled with swear words one song 93 uses of the f-word And he's a he's a believer and he's counseling kids I've been looking at him as we're deleting it I said, are you really in Christ and we're pretty quick to judge others But if you looked at your own heart ma'am, sir We'll look at the big things because those get our attention. But what about the little things in your heart? You see what's going on is Isaiah is unraveling. That's what it means. I'm undone It's where you take that ribbon and begin to shred it It's where somebody takes a hold of a string and it causes your whole suit to come apart It's what somebody grabs that hole where the moth said eaten and it's so weak It just unravels in your heart in your hands and some of this time for us unravel before God I am undone where you can't even speak because of this sinfulness in your heart We know nothing of grace because we don't know anything of our sin Last time I checked this where sin abounds grace does that much more abound? And if you really look at it from a positional sense all of our sin is the same So, why do we look at this man who is actually put into action adultery, but many of us are adulterers in our heart Why is it that we're quick to dispense judgment when somebody steals or somebody murders or somebody in turn is Listening to that music and teaching others. Are we not the same? Look at your heart and Isaiah He says I am undone and he falls apart before the Lord And it's the brokenness of his will the shattering of his will so that is every action Who's lived in submission to God the king and he falls on his face. Oh God I'm sorry, there was no time for works. Do you understand that? You're not sanctified by doing a bunch of big things So as we run around frantically hoping that God accepts us you're accepting the beloved through Jesus Christ Oh, that's not a license for us to go around in sin, but you cannot work for God's acceptance What many of us need to do is fall on our face and ask for forgiveness and then get up and serve God out of a love for God You see sometimes we get in our brain because of my sinful choice over here I'm gonna run over here and do some service items. Can I tell you what God wants? He's he doesn't want the sacrifice of lambs the sacrifice of God as a broken and contrite spirit. Oh God that wilt not Despise because this confession it leads to a I mean this this view of God leads to a confession But then this confession it leads to a cleansing and then flew one of these seraphim's Unto me having a live coal in his hand Would she taken with tongs from off the altar and he laid it upon my mouth and said lo This is touch thy lips and the iniquity is taken away and I sin purge you see Isaiah He said I'm a man of unclean lips. I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. This wasn't just a little oops He was living in the time In fact many people believe that Isaiah was actually killed or murdered by Manasseh who in turn is one of those most wicked and vile kings for the time period that until the end of his life and many people believe that was going on is there's all this ungodly worship and that for some reason Isaiah Had participated in some of those practices. It was a heart problem. It wasn't a little oops with the lips And here comes an angel with a coal from off the altar and he lays it upon Isaiah's lips you see the point of Isaiah's sin was the point of God's grace Aren't you thankful that God forgives us and this angel takes that coal and he puts it right on Isaiah's lips It's very unique that it came off the altar who dies on altars lambs die in altars You remember Adam and Eve Such purity no sin nothing between them nothing between the two humans that were alive. No sin. No guilty conscience Walking with God every day the cool of the evening Then the serpent comes You'll be like God's You'll be wise You won't die eat and be when her deceiveness takes of the fruit and she hands to Adam who in turn disses disobeys and God comes and he Finds them and they realize that they're naked and so they're running to cover themselves with leaves and God takes an animal and he takes An altar and he slays this animal and he lays the animal on top of the altar and he covers Adam and Eve with the clothes Of this animal a picture of the coming clothes of righteousness. They'll be found in Jesus Christ. Oh, do you remember Abraham? He's taking his Isaac. He's walking up the mountain. He's got the sacrifice. He's holding the sacrifice He takes his Isaac He lays him on the altar the edge of the knife is rushing downward and the angel stops him and points to a ram caught in the thicket a picture of the Substitutionary atonement that would be found in Jesus Christ and they take that ram and they slay that ram and that ram dies Instead of Isaac and remember John the Baptist he looks out and he sees Jesus Christ that perfect Lamb of God Behold the Lamb of God which come and take away the sins of the world and that perfect lamb never wants to be sin He always did what was right and they led that lamb from the Mount of Olives and they take him to false trial after false Trial and they lead him and they slap him and they punch him and they pluck out his beard if you were there You'd see when one put that crown of thorns in and grabbed a reed and begin to slap it deep into the head of Jesus Christ if you were there You would see the spit fly and slap the face of the Eternal One and they tire of their game and they ram Rodham down through the streets of Jerusalem and they get to the place of crucifixion and they throw him down onto the wood and they take their spikes and pound it deep into his wrists and they lift him up and they find his feet and They push them together and they find another spike and it too goes through both feet deep into the wood and the Lamb of God Sheds his blood because first John 1 7 says in the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all Sins your forgiveness was not Cheap, how can we see God and Christ and linger? in the world Isaiah Is there and God forgives him? It could be that there is one here that you've been resisting being saved and you've heard the gospel and you heard even this morning when I walked through the whole idea that Every single one of us is born with sin, but the Jesus could forgive you of your sins Would you please be saved tonight? Would you please turn from your sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone? But Oh Christian, it could be that God's been grinding on your heart not just about behavior But he's trying to change who you are. Don't you ever get sick? Not just a don't you ever wish God would just change who you are There is sick of confessing the same thing and the same thing and the same thing Lord Forgive me of my speech Lord Forgive me of my speech and what it really reveals as a heart that is selfish in nature And what you need is you need God to rend your heart remember Took our Volkswagen van over to California. That's where my sister was living her husband's a pastor And it was January They're about 30 minutes from the coast. And so I went over to Half Moon Bay It was chilly maybe 50 degrees winds coming off there I either grabbed a Rotten blanket or something I'm we're standing out there on the ocean Sun's setting the waves are coming in It's just meditating on the Lord his faithfulness and It's like the waves they just keep on coming in and then my mind began to think of first John 1 9 just two verses after Learning in verse 7 that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sins. He says if we've confessed our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all Unrighteousness, I'm just thinking about the faithfulness of the waves the faithfulness of God and God starts to convict me He just says will you know, what about this and and will what about this and and will when you said and will when you? Thought and and I'm just talking with the Lord and I said Lord You ever you ever just been standing with the Lord alone and the arrow he sends it's the wellspring of your heart and you're just Had some tears and slut Lord. I I don't know what else to say except I'm sorry We forgive me. I I know you promised you would but God I know I don't deserve it Lord your Bible says I'm confessing those sins and just on a whim I'm writing some of the names of those sins in the sand and a wave Comes up out of that ocean it washes over the section of that beach That wave retreats back out in the ocean and it's a picture of God forgiveness Nothing was there once you take off that backpack of sin once you come to the foot of the cross Once you plead the blood of Jesus That's read Hebrews. It's once for all You don't need lamb sacrifice We don't go to the temple and offer goats and oxen Jesus the perfect lamb of God died so that we could have life and we could have life more abundantly And if you're a Christian and your life is not abundant from the heart Oh Come to Jesus because Jesus is the one that saves us and Jesus is the one that sanctifies us and one day we will see this Jesus Will sing worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive all glory honor and blessing worthy is the lamb Oh friend for a moment think on heaven for a moment Think I'm the king of heaven and it cuts through all things that we see and allows us to see this one who died So that we could inhabit eternity with him worthy is the lamb It is worth it. What you're going through is a race of faith. It is worth it You have to look at yourself in the mirror and say you know, okay, I've never felt like quitting And I'm not going to say who here ever feels like quitting Would you raise your hand who here ever feels the temptation of the lust of the flesh and you desire pleasure? And you feel like quitting would you raise your hand? How many of you ever feel the lust of the eyes and the heat of covetousness? burn in your heart and you wish you could have that brick house and that shiny car and and that boat, and that timeshare, who's ever felt that? Would you raise your hand? Who's ever felt the pride of life, the fear of man, the desire for position? Oh, the world, it blows its hot desert breath all over the young vines. And it could be that you're a Christian and for a moment you've been faltering in your heart. Oh, the face is all in conformity. The clothes are right. The church attendance is right. But you've been faltering the race. Oh, friend, look to Jesus. And then when you see God as your King, you'll be constrained into His service. Also, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send? Who will go forth? And said I, here am I. Said me, this happens all throughout Scripture. God shows up. Man starts to quake. God forgives. Man then is empowered by God to serve. It's Romans 1-12. Romans 1-3, man's a sinner. Romans 4-5, man can be saved. Romans 6-7-8, man can walk in victory. Romans 12, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. When you see God as your King, you will be constrained to hear His call. Many of us can't hear the voice of God because the noise of the world is so loud. You've been saved, not to live for yourself, but to serve. When my dear brother said that there was 40 million Hispanic-speaking, Spanish-speaking people in the United States of America, in my mind, I saw a globe. I saw the 280 million people of the United States of America and it was like I was on Google World and I was scrolling back and I was seeing the United States and I saw the East Coast and Texas and Arizona and California. You keep on scrolling. You see Mexico. Now give your world a spin and get in a boat and cross the Atlantic Ocean and land in Morocco and go through Tanzania and come down into Egypt and Algeria and then cross the Red Sea and go into Saudi Arabia and walk your way through Israel. Visit Lebanon. Watch the Katyusha rockets come one way and the IDF go the other way. See people die. Go through Syria. Drop down in Jordan. Cruise over Iraq. Go up through Iran. Go through Turzakhistan, Uzbekistan. Skip India. Land in Indonesia. 1.1 billion Muslims who hate Jesus. Could it be? God would call some from this prayer advance. To shed their blood that others would live. Come back to the billion in India. Three million gods. They would add Jesus to their midst because they'll add another God. But Jesus said, I'm the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh from the father but by me. Oh, that Jesus would cut through the caste system of India. Oh, now climb up the Himalaya mountains. Go 26,000 feet. Come down on the backside and you enter into 1.6 billion Chinese. The majority of which are atheists. Oh friend, could it be God is wanting you to get some form of a business degree with a Bible degree and to go into China? You know what's happening in China? The doors are opening for businessmen because they want the capitalists to come. Oh, set up companies over here. Oh, come over here. And you could go and be a witness and share Christ. Oh, look at the 600 million Shinto Buddhists from China and Korea and work your way down the Pacific Rim. There is a cause. There's a cause bigger than the high score on Xbox. There's a cause greater than myspace.com. There is a cause. Could be God's knocking on the door of some of you boys. He said, I want you to be a preacher. I can remember 10 years old, I'm sitting three rows back. And the missionary's preaching on giving your life to full-time service. And I'm like, no, no. Invitation given, no tears, no. Missionary says, son, do you need to come forward? No. 10 years of rebellion, counseling at camp. Tom Farrell's preaching, double barrel Farrell. Yeah, my campers, they sure need that. They sure do. And God's like, no, you do. I remember just coming right here. It was like just this close. I was sitting in the front row and I just fell. And I said, God, I quit. I quit running. God, whatever, wherever, whenever, I'll do whatever. I was so scared of preaching. First time I preached, I cried my whole way through it. Sat down, said, I'll never preach again. I guess I lied. Praise God, fourth grade. My wife sees the comforts and they were preaching in her church. And my wife in fourth grade said, Lord, I sure like to be in your ministry. Lord, wouldn't it be great if I was to even marry an evangelist? Poor girl, look what she got stuck with. Oh, girls, life's bigger than a nice little house with a nice little white picket fence, with a nice little suburban, with the nice little kids and the nice little matching clothes, going to the nice little soccer game. There is a cause. You see what this culture needs is for people to hear the voice of God. They were constrained to hear his call, but then they were constrained to heed his call. They just didn't hear it and walk away. They, here's Isaiah. He said, hear my Lord send me. It wasn't geography. He didn't say, God, I'm over here. He said, God, here I am. It was availability. That's what God wants, is he just wants you to get on the altar and die. He just wants you to say, hear my Lord, I'll do whatever you want. And how is it that we can see God as our King in a consistent way? You know what's needed? Is there's, it's needed for a group and a generation of people who would have a disciplined and devotional life, because the only way you can live this way consistently is to live a life of faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So many of us, we can emotionally stirred up in a message, but the consistency comes when we be disciplined and devotional and seek God every day in this book and non-negotiable time, we read his word and say, Oh Lord, change me. Give me eyes of faith. Help me to see the things which really matter. Oh Lord, you are my King. Could be, God's calling some of you into his service. Could be, God's pounding on the door about you daily seeking his face. Could be, some of you, you need to get on your face and become broken before God over who you are. Could be, that God is trying to save some of you that are hardening your heart and tonight you need to be saved. See God as your King. Let's bow our heads together.
