He found this experience overwhelming through the love of his master and rejoices in that Christ can set you free from any bondage including deep hatred. Sermon Transcription
Praise God. The Lord Jesus said in Luke 21 and verse 17, And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. Friends, this is a reality and this truly is a reality in this hour, in this day, that we are hated, that Christians, that the church is hated. Why? Because we continue to stand in truth. We continue to stand in his word. We continue to stand upon the fundamentals of the faith. We refuse to compromise in this hour. We refuse to dilute the word of God. We refuse to appease those outside the church. The world may have moved on, but God hasn't. He is the same yesterday and today and forever. He is the Lord that changes not. We are hated. We shall be hated because of Christ, because he is holy, because he is truth, because he is the Lord, because he is God. But we must stand and we must continue to stand, and we must continue indeed to cry aloud and to exclaim from the rooftops that Jesus Christ is the truth. We must be defenders of this faith. We must be set as a defense for truth, for the gospel. And they can shout outside of the church. They can bark. They can scoff. They can deride. They can loathe us. But friends, we will stay true to the gospel and stay true to the Lord Jesus Christ. We have his name and we boast in his name, in the Lord Jesus. Amen and amen. Bless God. Praise God.
