In the evening, there shall be light. Zechariah 14, if you have your Bibles, please turn there. We're asking the auditorium people to keep the lights on all through the message, please. Zechariah 14. Let's start with verse 1. I'll read a verse in English and then our interpreter will read. Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoils shall be divided amidst of thee. Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoils shall be divided amidst of thee. I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken, and the houses rived, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go forth to captivity. The resident people shall not be cut off from the city. And I will gather all the people of Jerusalem to war, and the city shall be taken, and the houses ravaged, and the people shall be scattered, and half of the city shall be cut off, and the rest of the people shall not depart from the city. Then shall the Lord go forth and fight against those nations as when he fought in the day of battle. Go to verse 6 for the prophetic word that I want to bring to you. Zechariah has been talking about the dark times that are coming. And it shall come to pass in that day that the light shall not be clear nor dark. But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, not night, but it shall come to pass that at evening time it shall be light. And it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, not night, but it shall come to pass that at evening time it shall be light. And on that day shall come forth two living waters from Jerusalem. And the Lord shall be king over all the earth, and on that day shall there be one Lord and his name, or his people, one. I am not a prophet. But you are calling us to be watchmen. And you want to speak to us. And I ask you, Holy Spirit, to allow me to be an oracle, to speak the word of the prophets who have gone before us. May we hear them, and may we be anointed in our hearing. And Lord, let us rejoice tonight that we are seeing and hearing things from the word of God that Zechariah and all the prophets yearned to hear, longed to see, and we see it, and we understand. God, make us thankful as we hear your word. Amen. He says it's going to be a very trying time. And for years we've talked about these latter-day things that are supposed to come on the earth, a prophesy to come on the earth. The prophet Zechariah said, it's not going to be light, it's not going to be dark. He's talking about a day just before the dawn. The day before Christ returns. The day started when Christ ascended to heaven. Paul the Apostle, writing of his own days, he said, these are the last days. This was the beginning of that day that Zechariah is talking about. And in the past few thousand years since Christ, the world has been living in that day. The scripture says in that last day and in the last time, awful times will come. The Spirit said clearly, the latter days men shall depart from the faith, give heed to seducing spirits, perilous times shall come. But you see, we're living in the last of that day. We're living in the evening of this last day. The day just before Christ comes. Just before he puts his feet on the Mount of Olives. And just prior to midnight, he said there's going to be an evening. This is what the prophet Zechariah is saying. It's to be one day which shall be known only of the Lord. An evening that shall be light. And folks, we have been living and we have been witnessing that day that is neither night, it's not night, it's not dark. It's been a day of mixture. There's been a measure of light. But in these last days, there's been a mixture of darkness, false prophets, prophets, even the apostle said it's going to increase, bringing into the church, dark doctrines that would dim the light. And this is the hour we live in. It's not yet the total gross darkness. There is darkness. The darkness is growing. Evil men are waxing worse and worse. He said it's neither night, it's neither day. It's a day known only to the Lord. That the prophet says. And folks, get this. I didn't say it. And you can't hear it unless you hear it in the Spirit. I've read this many times. It has only been made real this past week to my heart. We say it's evening. We preach it's midnight. And the prophet says. And really I believe this is what he is saying. Don't focus on Armageddon. Go look at the valley if you please. He said that's not the message. Don't talk about the hard times that are coming. You can warn. You can have your eyes opened. He says don't focus on the economy even though it may crash. Don't focus on those things that are coming in the latter days because the light is coming. At evening there shall be light. Get your eyes off the Da Vinci code. Get your eyes off the Judas gospel. Get your eyes off of all of this defamation of the name of Christ. Folks, it's just a mad devil who knows his time is short. That is not our focus. The Holy Ghost, he's big enough to defend himself. We don't have to defend the light. God raises up apologists. Thank God for them. But none of this foolishness is going to stop the plan of God. It's not going to give them a light. God will laugh. The Lord shall be King of all the earth. In the evening just before Christ comes I believe there's going to be a bursting forth of light. He's not only going to be the King of the saints. He's called in Revelation 13 the King of saints. When you get to Jeremiah 10.10 it's called the King of the world and the King of nations. That's not referring to the millennium because there's still a mixture of light and darkness. But he's talking of a time. Remember what the scripture says. One day before this King every knee shall bow every tongue shall confess that he is Lord. That's Hollywood. That is every false prophet. They're going to bow before the King. But before they bow the knees are going to be made to tremble. All they'll bow. But in this light God is going to make a trembling. He said there'll be a great trembling on the earth. In that day there shall be one Lord in his name one. I believe that when the light bursts forth it's going to be a revelation of Jesus Christ. Such as we've never known. More than we have prayed for. More than we could ever expect. And I've preached so much over the years. Warning of the times that are coming. But I'm glad and my heart is at peace because before I go home he's allowed me to see the light. That is coming. Not only to Israel. But to every Islamic nation. Every nation on earth. He said he's coming for a church without spot or wrinkle. He's not coming for a divided church. Not a splintered church. But he's going to send forth the light. I remember as a child a little boy who lived near a railroad track. Those trains would come at night. At first it was just a little speck. And then you could hear the noise. And you'd get closer. And the light would get brighter. Until finally the light is bursting at you. And in this day when the nations are gathered against Israel in the final war of all nations in this day when darkness is coming into the church I see an approaching light. That's Jesus Christ coming with his army. And the light is getting brighter. If Jesus is the light brighter than the sun and if he's drawing nigh he said you draw near to me and I'll draw nigh to you. And we are drawing nigh to him. We're in Jerusalem drawing nigh to him. And that light is getting closer and closer. Isn't it reasonable to understand the closer he comes the brighter the light. And when that light comes there's going to be something so spectacular happen. There's such an amazing thing that God is about to do. So incredible. Overnight it's going to change everything we know. In the 18th chapter of Revelation it talks about the fall of Babylon in one hour. But if you read the previous verse it said and there came a light and the glory of that light did shine before the light came and before the light began to come in a time of calamity in one hour everything changed in the United States woke up one morning and my son I was visiting Gary's house he said dad come quickly it was the twin towers burning falling to the ground in one hour everything changed in the United States. A nation that had never known terror and suddenly everything changed people weeping on the streets and in a moment I'm going to tell you what I believe is going to happen but in one day in one hour God is going to get the attention of the whole world that is when the light is going to burst and when that happens every denomination barrier is going to come down when the whole world is startled when the whole world is being shaken not just Israel not just the United States but Russia and every nation on earth and everyone is looking around and in fear because in one hour in just a moment God said you're going to know who I am you're going to know that I am the Lord and you're going to hear before I come and then in that day you're going to say I was assembly of God I was Baptist I was Presbyterian I was Armenian I was a Calvinist but there will be no barriers there will be no Jew no Gentile there will be no discrimination because everybody has their mind on one issue something has happened that only God could do only God could have allowed he's going to unite his church he's going to bring about unity not just through preaching not through some kind of illegal bond not through compromise but through an awakening he said didn't he he's going to shake everything that can be shaken he said the Lord is at hand his name shall be one and he is preparing his church he is preparing his community I know from preaching for over 50 years I can't preach unity and make it happen and I don't understand that in Pentecostal churches in the south in Chicago in Detroit the churches are black all black congregation I've been down the south recently even in Texas Alabama to the south white churches and to hear in one church in particular a black family was coming attending the church seeking membership and one of the elders said over my dead body he died the next day and the man who told me this story is my friend and he's here tonight that's all going to change you come to Times Square church over 100 nationalities has nothing to do with color doesn't matter where they came out of a Catholic church Jewish or Islamic there are Islamic converts but that's all going to change because the light is coming hallelujah multitudes have been kept from the kingdom because of division multiplied thousands around the world which they have said I would like to be a Christian I would want to be a Christian but I don't understand all of the confusion I don't understand all the doctrines I don't understand the division I would be a Christian I would believe but I'm confused and that's going to change that they may be perfect in one that the world may know that you have sent me the scripture says of the apostles and the multitude of believers they were all of one heart and one soul and all things in common and what was the result of that unity with great power he gave the apostles power to witness of the resurrection of Jesus and great grace was upon them now what I'm preaching you may not want to believe you may think I'm stretching it in Zechariah especially you say how is this going to come about how is God going to make Zion a praise in the whole earth I want to talk to you I'll give you a quote from one of my favorite Puritan writers I have all his words Thomas Manson this is from over 250 years ago if I recall great man of God with a prophetic voice he explained it best he said this is the law of divine order after a great destruction a great calamity he brings forth the greatest unity the most blessed sweetness and he brings about harmony and since in the latter days there's coming such great invisible disruptions that means there will be visible unity and blessings the scripture bears out this misery enforces unity if we won't do it willingly the Lord will come with his judgment there is coming a world shaking event it's going to be chaos but God always creates out of chaos he created the earth out of chaos he allowed chaos in Egypt to wean the Israelites out of Egypt so their heart would yearn for deliverance there's going to be a visible worldwide destruction if I'm hedging I'm hedging on this word calamity and I'll tell you why because this message was sent out not just to our mailing list but through the media Times Square Church and World Challenge and nowadays a great host of Christians don't want to hear a word anymore about judgment they don't want to hear prophecy they turn it off the moment they see a word like calamity or chaos they toss it aside because they don't want anything to interrupt this good life they're beyond being stirred but I think in this congregation I think you know what I'm saying I was listening to the radio this past week and this is the leading man in the United States a government agency on communicable diseases and he's the chief the top man he was talking about the pandemic of avian flu he was asked a question is this going to mutate and be a disaster a pandemic he said it can't be avoided it's not if it's when and the interviewer said you're scaring me he said what's going to happen if it does now folks don't be afraid to hear what these secular prophets are saying if any one of the pastors here if I stood here and said what I heard this man say I'd be considered a crazy man he said the first news that comes to us that the mutation has taken place the world is going to change it'll never be the same millions upon millions will die in 1918 in that flu pandemic over 100 million people died he said that was nothing they said what's going to happen he said well all the airports are going to be shut nations are going to close their borders hospitals will be closed all service will be closed transportation will stop because people will try to be hiding trying to avoid the pandemic he kept going on and if I didn't have faith if I didn't believe that dying in Christ is the ultimate healing if I didn't have the peace of God I would have been scared out of my wits and I thought if I said that I couldn't get in another church in the world other than those who have the knowledge of Christ and to turn on the news one day and to hear this what does it matter then what you are what is that lust going to mean to you now how many TV sets are going to be turned into pornography how many are going to say I'm a Jew or I'm a Gentile everything is going to change in New York City the head of our security system I don't know said recently expect a dirty bomb what do you call the germ bomb a dirty bomb and he said it's not if it's when there's not a nation in the world now that's safe see these are not my warnings this is reality that's why I think it's so important that you came here to Israel this time what I've said are you afraid are you sitting here stunned I haven't told you anything you didn't know I haven't told you anything you haven't heard but consider it in the light of the prophecy of Zechariah it's evening everything is about to change we're coming to midnight and he said and in this time now here's the thing I want you to get the prophet is saying really that's not the issue don't get your eyes on that it can settle into your spirit but the lord is saying at that time people are going to have ears to hear what the spirit is saying and everyone I believe that Christians I believe that believers who are no longer bound by the fear of death don't think for a moment that all believers are going to escape believers were told that in China before the boxer rebellion people were not ready and the church was devastated they turned to idolatry and they turned against Christ because they were told by missionaries that the rapture would take place Jesus will come and you will not suffer folks I want you to know the light is coming but I want to be prepared I want no fear of death in me and I want to believe that every nurse every doctor every businessman everyone who's needed no matter what the crisis is they will not be in the hills hiding they will not be in terror but they'll be living in the light of this glory that is coming this will be the testimony every speaker that's been in these meetings said the same thing in one way or another that's the testimony the life the fearlessness and the peace that you have because the light is coming yes Jesus the light has been here but there's a greater revelation coming we're going to know Jesus like we've never known him we have got to come to the place there is going there is coming to Israel great tribulation coming to the whole world but Jesus said I'm going to give you peace I'm going to let you see me like you've never seen before folks I've been preaching for fifty years and I'm seeing things about Jesus I've never seen I've never hoped to see because it's beyond anything there's some things I can't tell you because I've not seen enough of it and every pastor here every child of God you're seeing you're hearing like you've never seen or heard before folks in the scripture says in light of what is coming how should we be living all in this day God help the pearlish man God help the pearlish pastor God help the individual believer who's been watching TV for hours and no time for the word God help those who've had nothing but meditations but they don't know about spending quality time with Christ in the last hour while the light is shining all around and God is bringing out a remnant of all churches and all nations and to be growing cold what a tragedy and when this time comes when this great destruction takes place people are going to run to somebody that they know is not afraid who's been walking with the fullness of the light going to be the foolish virgins saying give me something to see me through what's Jesus saying our pastors come to me some very well known receive telephone calls well Dave what's coming what's happening what's next I don't know they go where I go to get it I've been talking for about 7-8 years about a thousand fires coming to New York City and I haven't seen it I don't want to see it I even despise the thought but just about the time I'm ready to write an apology to our mailing list and say it must have been in the flesh and I read these prophets show God give us pastors who are not afraid to stand and warn but as we warn we prophesy the light in the evening there shall be light and folks if there are a thousand fires coming to New York City and I believe it's going to really rage on 42nd Street and Broadway I've seen visions of it awesome terrible but I want to be there preaching if you're in New York I invite you to come Pastor Carter will be there the whole staff just like they were when 9-11 hit they weren't in their cars trying to get over the bridge and hide in New Jersey right in the middle of the fire and the smoke that evening there should be light closing with this I want you to get your Bibles turn to Isaiah 59 do you believe in Bible prophecy you may ignore anything that I tell you that you may think is flesh but what you're going to read now you can't deny and if you're a believer you would never deny 59 59 now in closing I'm going to take you through quite a few scriptures as soon as you find it look this way and say help me Holy Spirit to get this so that I have the knowledge and then I can have peace and then I can remember what Jesus said when you see all these things coming to pass hide no look up rejoice because your redemption that could be death itself I'm telling it to you straight what is coming may cost your life and cost my life Paul said that is the ultimate healing to die in Christ is to be instantly in the presence of God so why should we be afraid so go to the word with me please chapter 59 let's start reading verse 2 concerning Israel behold your iniquities are separated between you and your God your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear your iniquities are you and your God your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear here is the result in verse 9 same chapter verse 9 here is what happened this is the way it has been in Israel and here is the result in verse 9 that's happening now wherever the veil is over the eyes of Islam or Israel or wherever in verse 10 isn't this the situation in verse 10 what happens that the gap is narrow in Islam or in Israel we 14 our sinning judgment is turned away backward justice stands far off for truth is fallen in the streets iniquity cannot enter I want you to go skip down now to verse 19 if you will please and here's the hope you've just heard from Isaiah the condition and here's the hope even when truth is fallen to the street verse 19 so shall they fear the name of the lord from the west and his glory from the rising of the sun this is the light when the enemy shall come in like a flood the spirit of the lord shall raise up a standard against him and some these scriptures are dual prophecies applied to the church and especially to Israel verse 20 the redeemer shall come to Zion and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob saith the lord as for me this is my covenant with them saith the lord my spirit that is upon thee and my words that I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth nor out of the mouth of your seed nor out of the mouth of your seed saith the lord from henceforth and forever god made a covenant christ died for Israel and he has not turned against it he's going to come to Zion and to Jacob jesus died for Israel and he has not turned against it chapter 60 and out of out of chaos and out of the light you will see this fulfilled verse 1 arise shine for thy light is come and the glory of the lord is risen upon you when is it come in a time of darkness and chaos for behold the darkness shall cover the earth and the gross darkness the people but the lord shall rise upon thee and his glory shall be seen upon thee and the gentiles shall come to the light and kings to the brightness of the rising lift up your eyes round about and see all they gather themselves together they come to thee thy sons shall come from far and thy daughters shall be nursed at your side then thou shall see they flow together thy heart shall fear and be enlarged because the abundance of the sea the sea shall be converted unto thee the forces of the gentiles shall come to thee and the forces of the gentiles I take to be the gospel of the lord Jesus Christ now in this time of light and with this I close who is it that's going to come and be converted and who are those that are going to have the veil opened and their eyes enabled to see it's in chapter 59 verse 20 and the redeemer shall come to Zion and to them that turn from their transgressions in Jacob I've heard people say that all Israel every Jew will be saved no one Jew or Gentile no one can be saved other than coming to the lord Jesus Christ not through sacrifices not through good works simple things that you and I know but he said there will come a remnant who in this light that breaks forth the redeemer who's always been here and always shining will come forth with such brightness and such glory that every hungry Jew every hungry thirsty Islamic every thirsty unbeliever if they forsake their transgressions and come to him the redeemer will come to them and they will be saved will you just say it with me at evening there shall be light stand with me if you will please my closing thoughts there should be no heaviness here I said there should be no heaviness there should be no heaviness I want our musicians to come now I presume that the majority here are walking with Christ and you can rejoice when this hour comes not in what is coming but in spite of what is coming there should be joy there should be victory victory and there should be a shout now I would say that's a testimony to any unbeliever who would sit and hear this kind of message and sink down in their seat and turn on the radio and hear the man that I heard and just fall in depression everybody on earth is expecting something to come is that correct everybody says it's about to happen they're waiting for the shoe to drop and these secular prophets are sounding trumpets but there ought to be a shout here before we leave and I'm not looking for a sound we have never done that in times square church as far as I know I've not tried to do that anywhere great meeting great sound ah but he said rejoice the redemption is near I have peace I have I have peace I have peace I have peace I have peace I have peace I have peace I have peace I have peace I have I have peace I have I have peace peace I have peace I have peace peace I have I have peace repent of that. You can do it where you're at. We're not trying to make a scene. But if you come forward, I'm going to tell you, there's some loving Christians that will come around you, not to ask you what it is, but to just love on you, and join you in prayer, that God will set you free. Now come, Holy Spirit, and put your seal of approval on this gathering. Put your seal. Give us joy. Give us your peace. Lord, we're going to shout when we get there, but let us do our shouting now, because we're on a road to Zion. Hallelujah!
