Faithful Saints Ruling With Jesus in the Millennial Kingdom (Pt. 2)
Mike Bickle

Mike Bickle (1955 - ). American evangelical pastor, author, and founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), born in Kansas City, Missouri. Converted at 15 after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach at a 1970 Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference, he pastored several St. Louis churches before founding Kansas City Fellowship in 1982, later Metro Christian Fellowship. In 1999, he launched IHOPKC, pioneering 24/7 prayer and worship, growing to 2,500 staff and including a Bible college until its closure in 2024. Bickle authored books like Passion for Jesus (1994), emphasizing intimacy with God, eschatology, and Israel’s spiritual role. Associated with the Kansas City Prophets in the 1980s, he briefly aligned with John Wimber’s Vineyard movement until 1996. Married to Diane since 1973, they have two sons. His teachings, broadcast globally, focused on prayer and prophecy but faced criticism for controversial prophetic claims. In 2023, Bickle was dismissed from IHOPKC following allegations of misconduct, leading to his withdrawal from public ministry. His influence persists through archived sermons despite ongoing debates about his legacy

Sermon Summary
Mike Bickle emphasizes the significance of the Millennial Kingdom, asserting that only a small percentage of the redeemed will rule with Jesus during this time. He highlights the importance of faithfulness in our earthly lives, as it directly impacts our roles and rewards in the age to come. Bickle encourages believers to understand that their private acts of righteousness will determine their garments and positions in the Millennial Kingdom, where they will work closely with Jesus to establish His governance on earth. He stresses that faithfulness is not about perfection but about the heart's resolve to return to righteousness after stumbling. Ultimately, Bickle calls for a commitment to a life of obedience and faithfulness, which will be rewarded in the eternal kingdom.

In the name of Jesus, I ask you to bless the hearing of your word, the speaking of it, in Jesus' name, amen. The faithful saints ruling with Jesus in the Millennial Kingdom. Again, I want to mention that the subject of the Millennial Kingdom is one of the biggest and most prominent subjects in the entire Bible, Old and New Testament. It affects the, I mean, when you get this understanding, it affects the way you interpret the scripture in a very dramatic way. And yet, it's a subject that's almost entirely ignored in the body of Christ worldwide. Doesn't matter what nation, what culture, it's almost entirely ignored. And I think it is a subject that needs to be preached on regularly. I mean, often. Without this subject, my heart would be, would lose significant amount of motivation and energy that I get it in a regular daily way because I feed my spirit and my mind on this subject. And so for those of you that are new to it, it's not a small topic. It's big in the Bible, and it will be big in its impact on your life. If you really grasp it and run with it. Paragraph A, my primary premise in this teaching is that only a small percent of the redeemed from history will rule with the Lord in the Millennial Kingdom. That's my premise. I believe that to be a biblical principle, that though there will be several billion that are saved, only a small percent. I mean, it might be millions, but it's still a small percent of billions. And it may not be millions. It may be hundreds of thousands instead of millions. You know, I have no way of knowing, but I believe the percentage is very small. That will actually be in a place of responsibility, working intimately with the Lord to govern the earth and to bring it fully under his influences. And it will be something that, as we mentioned last week, I don't want to take time on it tonight. It will be something that will be a very dear and important part of, it'll be a cherished and important part of our relationship with the Lord in the age to come. Ruling, working together with him to bring the earth fully under his glory and submission to his wisdom and to his leadership, working closely with him. It will be dear to him and dear to you. It's not about putting your chest out and strutting in front of people. It's about living. So, I mean, the subject of rewards and ruling, it's about spending the thousand years in this close proximity of working together with the Lord in a way that's dear to him and a way that's dear to us as well. Okay, review. The millennial kingdom speaks of a thousand-year period in which Jesus will rule all the nations of the earth. And so that's a topic we're not going to go into right now because we've talked about it over and over, but that's for those that are new with us here. Paragraph B, from last week, this is review. Let's read the passage in Revelation 19. It says in verse 7, let us be glad and rejoice and give God glory for the marriage of the Lamb has come and his wife has made herself ready and to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen. And this fine linen is clean, has no spots on it, and it's bright. There's a supernatural quality to this linen. It has a brightness in the glory of God. It has different measures of brightness, the clothing, the garments. It's a fascinating study to study the garments on angels and the garments on God, the garments in eternity. There's more verses on that subject than you might guess out of just a casual, you know, a thought about it. I've put a little bit of time in it over the years, and it's an exciting concept. People care a whole lot about what they wear in this age, and I guarantee you, you will care more in the age to come about what you're wearing. Matter of fact, there might be a relationship between the two, but I'm not going to go there. I mean about overdoing it down here, never mind. Okay, verse 11. Oh, no, no. I got to make my point, verse 8. They're arrayed. They are given fine linen that's clean and bright. There's a supernatural dimension, and he makes it clear this fine linen is in response to, is the idea. It's given in response to the righteous acts, or you could put the word decisions, that the saints made during their life on the earth. Your garments will be given to you in direct response to the decisions you made about how you spend time and money and the words and the deeds that you did. The words you spoke and the deeds you did. Acts always include words and deeds. Beloved, read this again. The fine linen is given in response to the righteous acts that are done on the earth. Not just the acts that are done in public. Our private life right now will affect our garments in the age to come. That's a massive concept. Jesus talks about this probably three to four times in the book of Revelation, where the John is interacting with an angel, and Jesus interrupts and makes a point about not losing your garments or not losing your reward related to garments in the age to come by being steady. I mean, Jesus knows we will care about this. He himself addresses this subject personally in the book of Revelation probably four times, if my memory is right, or possibly five. Verse 11, behold, a white horse and he who sat upon it, who was called faithful, and that's the point I want to get. Jesus's name is called faithful when he is returning for the great battle. He's coming as the man that's been known in time and in eternity, I mean, on earth and in heaven as the faithful man. And when he's called faithful, it's a response not to his faithfulness as God only, but it's the response is that he was faithful as a man to obey God. And his faithfulness on the earth is having an impact on his role in the great battle. And the point is that his faithfulness is the thing that is emphasized more than anything. And sometimes we would read this and assume that it's a title that he's called faithful as God, but it's a faithfulness related to the deeds he did as a man when on the earth, God really takes what we do on the earth seriously. And he's coming back in righteousness to wage war, to make war, and in context it's against the Antichrist and the ten nations that are in league with him as the power base of the Antichrist worldwide government. He's making war against them in a physical, literal war. Verse 14, but here's the point I want you to notice. The armies in heaven, they are wearing the fine linen that they received a couple verses earlier. They're wearing the garments that they received that were given to them based on their faithfulness on the earth. So the garments they will wear in the war are related to their acts of righteousness on the earth. Now don't, in a minute we're going to make this point, but don't imagine the garments are only about the war. The war is only one of many great significant history-changing events are going to happen in this period of time. And those garments will, and our role in those events, and the garments we wear will be in our role in these history-changing events related to the coming of the Lord, will be determined by our secret faithfulness in this age. The reason I like to say secret, didn't have to be secret, but people when they think of faithfulness, they so often think of what they do in their public life and public ministry. And well, I really, you know, stayed true to my job assignment. I'm talking about a faithfulness that's far bigger than your job assignment. The faithfulness of our inner man, the secret place of our heart. They will wear the garments in these significantly history-changing, history-forming events, of which one of them happens to be the great war. But that's not by any means the whole of what we're going to be rewarded for, is what place in the war we're going to have. The war will be done in a short amount of time. The war is only being given as one of many significant, world-changing events are going to happen related to the second coming of Christ. Verse 15, verse 14, the armies in heaven, they'll be clothed in fine, fine linen, white and clean. And these are the ones that follow him on horses. Now here's my premise. All of the saints in history will not be wearing these linen on horses in a significant role in the history-changing events of the coming of the Lord. All the saints will be present to witness it. But I believe that a small percentage of saints will actually be involved in an intimate way with the Lord, participating with their actions and with their assignment before the Lord in these history-changing events. Most will be standing, watching and applauding. They won't be in the game on the field. They will be a great cloud of witnesses in the stadium, cheering on the faithful from history. They will be there, but they won't be involved. They won't be in the battle on the horses. And that's a new idea to some people. Well, most people never even think about it. And so it's maybe just the concept is a new idea entirely. But I want to urge you to take serious the fact that this is not talking about three billion saints from history all on horses, all with these array of clothing from their acts of righteousness on the earth. And I think it's a small percentage. Again, I'm believing it's some millions, but still out of billions, that's a... Well, Jesus said it's strong on a number of occasions. He said many are cold, but few, few will actually answer the call. Few will answer it. The majority will not answer it. Even in the body of Christ, the majority will not answer the call to faithfulness in the way that it's put in this context. Okay, verse... I mean, paragraph C. After this battle... No, let's go to paragraph B. Read the paragraph related to the text we just read. Jesus is going to wage open war against the Antichrist, and he's going to wage an open war against the wicked kings of the earth. In Revelation 19, the passage we just read, John is describing Jesus and the particular saints, the specific saints that are participating in the decisive events that bring history as we know it to a conclusion and establish God's new order of life for the age to come. We're going to read that sentence again. That's a massive... Not the sentence is, but the concept is a massive concept of weightiness. I'm going to say it again. John is describing the specific saints. It's not all of them. And again, I think the numbers are tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands that are participating in the decisive events. That's a key word. That bring history as we know it to a close. History as we know it, before the second coming of Christ, it's going to come to a close. Natural history. Things are going to change dramatically after the second coming. If the first coming of Jesus is a great dividing line of how we understand history, the second coming of Jesus will be a significantly bigger dividing line on how history is interpreted and how history unfolds. History is not going to stop when Jesus returns the second time any more than history stopped the first time that Jesus came. History is going to go on. History is going to unfold. But it's going to be dramatically impacted by the second coming, the unfolding of history, even more than the first coming. But there's, John's describing these saints on horses that have these garments that are given to them because of their life of faithfulness on the earth. These are not the, this is not the gift of righteousness garments. Everybody has the garments, the robe of righteousness. Everybody, the newest believer who dies on their deathbed, everyone has the free gift of righteousness, the robe of righteousness in that regard. These garments are the garments given to them related to their response to their acts of righteousness, not Jesus's. That's, that, that's an entirely different thing. We get the gift of righteousness as a gift. We get this, these linen garments that we wear in significant events in history. The saints, the faithful saints will, they are given strictly on the basis of our response and righteousness to the Lord's leadership in our life, particularly in the secret parts of our life, because that's where most of our life is lived in secret. Most of your life is not seen by people. Most of your life, it's what happens on the inside that people don't watch. The majority of what you're really about, people can't read it really clear. You can read a lot, they can't read a lot, but there's a lot they can't read as well. So histories, we know it's going to come to a conclusion. There's, God's going to establish a new order of life at the second coming of Christ and there's decisive events that are going to happen, not just a battle, far more than a battle. I want to say that strong, far more than a battle. The battle will be critical because it's not just one battle, it's the battle that brings history as we know it to a conclusion. It's not just, hey, you know, I like guns. I always liked war. I want to go to that one battle and watch it. No, it's not about liking war. It's about the most significant, decisive event in natural history in terms of immediately impacting the unfolding of how the nations are set up immediately. It's changed right there. We want to be involved in it. This one, a person says, well, I don't really like war. I go, it's not about war. Our weapons are going to be, uh, you know, we'll sing praises to God. We're not going to go in, you know, do pushups and hit somebody and beat them up. It's war will be, uh, uh, done, uh, when, uh, in the way that Jesus will speak the words of his mouth, he will speak and things will take place. And so it's not about, do you have a personality acclimated to the military? If you do, you'll want to be there. Don't miss it. No. If you have a personality acclimated, acclimated to being involved in significant, decisive events that are dear to God's heart, that will change life as we know it on the planet, then you'll want to be there. It has nothing really to do with military. It just happens to be the battle is the first decisive event that's going to change all of history. We want to participate in that. We really do. We want to be involved with our hands. And, and, and I'm using that in the figurative sense of saying we want to be up close and, and, and, and whatever we actually do, we want to do that, which is dear to the Lord wall. The majority of the saints are watching it from a distance. I mean, not, you know, in another, in another realm, but I think the analogy of the stadium, the great cloud of witnesses watching the field, I want to be on the field, not in the stadium. Some people are happy just to be at the event. No, I want to be in involved in an intimate way in what is dear to God's heart as he changes history. Paragraph C after this battle, Jesus will do many, many historically important things. He will establish many new things after this battle, many, not just a military event. It's far, but he's going to set up the infrastructure for the entire planet. I mean, there is no one event bigger than this event in terms of immediately affecting history. He is going to change all the governments of the earth, every level of every government from the librarian to the infrastructure with the water department, to the electric company, to the, uh, education process, to all of the governing officials, to, uh, to, uh, finances, to, to agriculture, every single institution of the earth is going to be changed and the leadership is going to be replaced. That's significant. And so the number of decisive, significant decisions and actions that will take place are massive numbers, thousands and thousands of thousands of the battle is just the first big one. That's all. Don't don't read revelation 19 and limit it to a one or two day battle. Don't do that. It's only the first of many, many big things that are going to happen. It's going to be the most startling one. It's the first domino that goes down, that knocks down a whole bunch of other dominoes are going to be a chain reaction of significant events that will take place after that one. And you want to be on the field in the game, not in the stands, just applauding, not because you want to strut because you want to do what's near and dear to God's heart. And that is, he wants to be, he himself is going to be deeply involved and I'm going to be involved with him. Paragraph D the new government that he's going to set up is going to consist. This is in the broadest sense of two groups of people. I mean, there's many facets of the infrastructure he's going to set up in the natural, but there's two groups of people that are going to be involved in the new government. First, those with resurrected bodies, again, two to 3 billion saints. That's counting a billion people in the great end time harvest. I'm counting on a billion at least first, it's going to be the saints with resurrected bodies who are faithful from all redemptive history. I mean, from Adam all the way down, I mean, all the old Testament, uh, saints that were faithful, they are, uh, will be involved in the ruling of the earth, not just the new Testament saints, but there's going to be a, they, by the way, those with resurrected bodies will have the greatest measure of authority in the new order. They will have the greatest proximity here. Here's what authority is about. They'll have the greatest proximity of nearness to Jesus. I'm being involved with him and changing the order of the earth. They'll be in the closest working relationship of anybody as Jesus changes the earth. Because remember, he's not going to wave his hand and everything's over. He's going to change it city by city, county by county. Every bit of infrastructure of every part of life is going to be redone except for that, which is righteous. That stood through the, uh, uh, great tribulation. And I think there will be some righteous things that will make it through the transition. Most won't, but there will be righteousness that makes it. There will be some things happening in the earth that actually, uh, have a continuity to the age to come. There are some laws that can be set up right now that some of those laws won't have to be undone when the Lord returns. Some of them will actually stay steady through the tribulation. We don't know to what degree some will though. That's why we care about changing laws to, uh, uh, reflect Jesus's righteousness. Okay. This new government paragraph D will consist of two groups. First, those with resurrected bodies. Second, those with natural bodies who will be the recently converted survivors of the great tribulation. There's going to be, you know, some millions, very possibly tens of millions of people, not billions. I would guess just by doing the numbers in the book of revelation and in the book of Isaiah, particularly, I would guess there will be tens of millions, which have extremely small number percentage wise of the billions. You know, there's 6.5 billion on the earth. Now they say there'll be about 8 billion by about the year 2025. And so, you know, I think it's a fair number just to think about 8 billion plus or minus a billion or so in the time when the Lord comes. He might come later than that or sooner than that, but there'll be some tens of millions. I'm that's, that's my guess. It's not a biblical number that will survive. They won't take the mark of the beast. They won't be saved and therefore raptured. They will be there kind of figuring out after the dust settles. Whoa, what a wild few months this has been. They will get converted powerfully and they will become the foundation. God, the Lord will choose which ones will be involved, the main ones. And I believe that those with government, I'm talking about some of you will choose a number of the people in the infrastructure on the earth. You'll figure out you'll use discernment and there'll be infrastructure throughout the entire earth. And I know some of you that are just visiting, this is completely throwing you off because you thought you were going to die and go to heaven and go far away. Well, the good news is heaven is coming to the earth. The second coming is going the other direction. Heaven, the new Jerusalem is descending. Jesus is going to set up his throne and he's going to redo the, he's not giving the earth away. He's taking it over at his coming. He's going to use his saints significantly to build the infrastructure worldwide, but he's going to use people with natural bodies. Now those people with natural bodies, they'll be new believers at the beginning, of course, just by definition, and they will have a far less authority than those that are ruling the earth, the resurrected bodies that have this dynamic interaction with Jesus in terms of his strategy to change the earth and to renew it. It's all of its infrastructure. Paragraph E, Jesus will be king over all the kings. That's why he's called king of kings. He will be king of kings at his second coming. This is what king of kings mean. Here's what we think right now. He's king of kings right now. That's, that's, uh, I mean, in, in one sense, in a very, uh, in a very, uh, a secondary way, he's king of kings right now, meaning he could kill any king on the earth he wants. And every now and then he does kill one and he moves him when he wants, but mostly he allows the kings of the earth to do what they want. He has boundaries. They can only go so far, but he allows them to be unrighteous in their personal lives. He allows them to treat people wrong with their money and power. And he sits back mostly in silence and patience. And, and he knows payday is coming. He is not actively governing their policies. So he's king of kings of the fact he's God. And, but when it says in revelation 19, he's king of kings, it's talking about as a man, as a man with a, with a, with a human body coming on a horse, a man in Jerusalem will be the king of all the kings. Meaning every king will actively actively and fully obey him. That's not happening right now remotely. They will obey him. They will worship him extravagantly. All the kings will, and they will all fulfill his grand strategy for the planet. They will be eager to hear from him and then to obey his policies for their nation. Eager to, it's very different than now in, in, in the sense that God is sovereign. He is king over them. Of course he is, but he's not exerting his kingship. He's allowing them to do evil. And he's patiently enduring them. The scripture says again, he puts boundaries on them. They can only go so far. And then he does kill them a number of them, but he'll let you get some all kinds of space. That's why the, so many were excited in Revelation 11, verse 15, because finally he takes his great power and begins to reign. Well, he's reigning now. What do you mean begins to reign? He's already reigning. Well, this is, yeah, he's reigning, but he's not enforcing it comprehensively across the globe with power that's demonstrated to everybody else on the planet. He's not enforcing his reign right now in the kings of the earth, but the day is coming. And when it says that Jesus is going to be king of Kings, they're talking about in a way that is demonstrated where the whole earth can bear witness and watch it. Nobody will doubt who the king of all the Kings is right now. If you interviewed 6.5 billion people, the earth asked them who the king of all Kings was, they would say there is no one King that's over all Kings. The vast majority earth would not recognize who that person is, but the day is coming. Every single person on the planet will acknowledge it. It will be so exciting. And your life, I'm telling you, your private life, what you do with time and money and words, what you do with your power, meaning your time, your money, your emotions, what you do, that's the power God has given you. What you do with it will be dynamically important to what your assignment is in the age to come. You're going to have absolutely no prominence and no big gifting, no big impact, no big anything, but in your heart, you've been faithful with your time, your words, your money. You've sought to be faithful. Let's say it that way. You've purposed to be faithful because you blow it. I blow it. You blow it. We'll blow it more, but we rise up and we did clear war on the area of darkness that hit our heart. And the Lord still calls that faithfulness. Most people, when they acted on faithfulness, they don't repent and declare war on it. I'm talking about believers. They make peace where they go out, just kind of hang out in that sin for a year or two. And then I'll get around to it one of these days when I get convicted, they don't declare war that's called unfaithfulness. Faithfulness doesn't mean you've never stumbled. Faithfulness doesn't mean that you never, ever get off the path. It means when you get off the path, I'm talking about that day, that hour you go, no, I don't like this. I am off the path. I am repenting. I am declaring in my soul. I'm back on the path within the hour. I am, I'm with you. I hate what I just did. Yes, I know, Lord, I've done it a thousand times, but I still hate it. And I, and I mean, you're sincere. I, I declare war on it. That is still called faithfulness. Faithfulness does not mean you have a perfect track record. There would be nobody in history called faithful. Faithful means when you do get off the, the, I mean, the real life of pursuing a hundred percent obedience, your words, your time, your money, and you recognize it. I'm talking about within the hour, within the day, you're back declaring war and committing yourself to righteousness on that issue. That's what faithfulness is. And from my natural view, most believers that I know do not live faithful lives. They live with two or three areas in their life. They've made peace with just to settle down and just to kind of get in a comfortable pattern of life and just let those three areas just stay in compromise. And they said, well, I don't like it, but I'm just making peace with it. And that is called unfaithfulness. And I believe the majority of the body of Christ lives with several areas in their heart that way. But I believe there are thousands and even some small amount, a number of millions in history that don't live that way I'm talking about. They see it and they go, no, this is not okay with me. I'm going to spend my money, right? I just squandered another day. I'm going to get my time under the government of the Holy spirit. I'm going to do this, blow it again, blow it again, blow it again. Words and time. Those are the two hard ones, but I tell you, we can get right back in the battle and the Lord still calls that faithfulness. And so some of you may never, ever make an impact that anybody ever notices it. You may be shocked what the Lord will have. He will answer you. He will, he says, I'm not answering you based on how big your impact is. I'm answering you based on the, on the, the resolve in your heart to obey me in the secret areas of your life. And if you have that resolve, even though you blow it many times, but you return to the battle I'm talking about within a short period of time, you, you, you return to the battle. Some guy says, okay, I almost always do that one time. It took me longer. No, don't get technical with it. Don't, you know, I'm not, I'm not a, a tax accountant trying to find every loophole that, you know, that a person could break the general thrust of your life is to immediately return to faithfulness. That's what the Lord's looking for. And I'm telling you, it will be shocking. I believe to many saints in history, the Lord will give them government in the new administration and the new order that's coming on the earth. And I think some of them will be complete because they didn't have a teaching of the word. They will be completely surprised by it going, wow, you're kidding. I'm going to get to work this close to you to establish the new order and to work even with people with natural bodies on the earth. I'm going to be able to be involved in, well, no one ever even paid attention to me on the earth. I mean, I was never good at talking. I never could get those verses clear. I was always confused about them. You may not, I'm like really going to be involved working with you in a close way, Lord. He goes, yes, yes. Cause your heart, your heart, you fought over decades. You return to faithfulness and meekness time and time again, the vast majority of your life, you were fighting for meekness and holiness time and time again, even though it costs you a lot in the eyes of men to do it. And one of the reasons there's plenty of reasons why the Lord is going to reward faithfulness. One of them, because that's the only kind of people that he wants because he's, he's a faithful and a holy God. He can't have anything contrary to, uh, uh, to that in government, but faithfulness is dear to him. I mean, he was on the earth for, uh, for 33 years. He was really a man with a flesh and blood body that really was resisted. And the devil came against him and his body wanted to go one direction, but he went another direction and he will look at the saints. He goes, this is dear to me. I did it. I know what it costs you. I was faithful 100% of the time under all the pressure. I mean, I know what you went through and there will be a camaraderie. There will be a dearness. There will be a, there will be, uh, the Peter calls it. It's precious to the Lord. First Peter three, he says these in first Peter three, five, he says, these things are a meek spirit is precious to God. It's dear to him when he sees meekness because he lived in meekness. There's a camaraderie. There's a common value. He looks at us as a, as a human to a human and says, I want you in my leadership team because I know what it costs you to do that when no one was looking because I did it when no one is looking and I want you on my leadership team. Well, Lord, are you sure? I was never good at the Bible. I was never, you know, I tried, I studied it, but I never could put it together like those other people could. And he says, no, I wasn't. I'm not talking about your skill. I'm gonna tell me your impact. I'm talking about the response of your heart. It's dear to him. It's precious to him. He goes, I've been watching you over your whole life. Yeah. I know the people I'm going to put in government and some of you, it will be the most exciting moment. It will completely shock you because of the great reversal of what the Lord will count. He will count life so different than men count it. You know, we look at ministries and see how big their conferences or how many souls or how much money they raise or how big they're building. And the Lord didn't count any of that. When he gives us our assignment at the age to come, God's not going to look at Billy Graham and say, you filled the stadium. How many times? 500 times. Whoa. We better reconsider. Let's give you a bigger assignment. 500 times. He sure wasn't 300. No Lord. My 500 times we filled the stadium. Well, in that case, Billy, you can rule the nations. No, it's not going to be that way. He's going to say, Billy, my beloved, come here. I'm going to talk about your stadiums. I talk about your heart response over 70, 80 years. I want to talk about your heart response. I want to talk about your meekness when no one was looking. We're not talking about your stadiums. I'm talking about your meekness. Now I'm going to give you an assignment based on your meekness. And one of the, just making a personal comment, one of the reasons so many Billy Graham is so honored is because he has lived at least in his public life with an extraordinary meekness over the years. That's one reason he's so dear to, to, to those that have watched him for decades because so many, they get a little bit famous and they get funny. And he has always stayed steady, but my vote doesn't count on the last day, but I, you know, I vote good for him. Okay. Doesn't count, but I just, it's amazing how much profile he has and how, how lowly he at least appears the way he presents himself. And I, I trust it. It's how he is in private as well. Okay. Paragraph E Jesus will be King over all the other Kings in the millennium. That's what revelation 1916 says. King of Kings means a human King over human Kings, and they fully obey him quickly. Obey him is what happens. Not a, not like he's King now, and he patiently endures them, but he'll be King over Kings that are quickly obeying him and fulfilling his action plan. In other words, Jesus is going to govern a worldwide kingdom in partnership with two sets of Kings, the millennial Kings. Those are the men and women with non-resurrected bodies, but the resurrected Kings will be the men and women with resurrected bodies, two sets of Kings together. They will establish a biblically based social order that will affect every sphere of life. It says in revelation one, Jesus ruler over the Kings of the earth. Now, again, in a, in a, in a partial way, he's exerting his leadership over the 210 Kings of the earth, but mostly he's enduring them patiently and putting some strong boundaries only lets them go so far. And then he pulls them in, but he's not actively governing their policies and their, their daily life and their personal inner life. It says ruler of the Kings of the earth. They're talking about at his second coming. Talk about the people with natural bodies. Then it goes on. It talks about the other kind of Kings right here in the same, same passage, but to him who loved us for six, he made us to be Kings. John's talking about, he says us, he's 90 years old on the island of Patmos and he's going, no, I'm going to be one of those Kings as well. I mean, that us was a big word for him personally. It's probably that word. Us is probably John's most personal word in the whole of the book of revelation because I'm in his, his Lord. Can I say, and you will make them the Lord whispers in his ear. Of course, I'm making this up. Lord whispers in his ear. No, John used the word us. Can I say us? Absolutely. John. Yes. Yes. Good. Oh, good. Us. You know, so he wrote this letter and he said, you know, he's writing it in 12 font, but when he gets to us, he puts it like an 80 font us. Those are two, there's two different types of Kings referenced. Verse five is the millennial Kings with natural bodies. Verse six is the resurrected Kings, two different sets of Kings. Okay. Paragraph a F top of page two. Now these States with resurrected bodies are those who are counted worthy. Now this is a massive subject in the Bible and we're going to cover it one of these days. I've got lots of lists and little handouts already worked on, on this. And, uh, but we need to take some time and really go over it, but you don't have to wait on me. You can do it on your own. Just, you know, just get in a word search on your Bible program and put the word worthy, put your seatbelt on because there's a lot. And when it talks about saints being worthy, it's not talking about saints earning forgiveness. It's nothing to do with forgiveness. Forgiveness is a free gift. It's talking about saints being counted. Worthy is synonymous. It is equal with, with being considered faithful, being counted worthy and being, uh, considered faithful are identical, identical concepts. And it's faithful, considered faithful to be put into service in the age to come. Now there's an element where God can, uh, counts people faithful in this age and puts them in, in, in service. But by far, uh, this is, uh, uh, it's application is in the age to come. Another, uh, word you could put there, you could put the word counted worthy. You could put the word overcomers, the book of revelation, the word overcomers is I'm guessing used 10 or 12 times the word overcomers. It's not talking about an overcomer. It's not talking about everyone who's received the free gift of salvation on their deathbed. That's not what it's talking about. Overcomers are those who through a, over a period of time have consistently made choices of righteousness under the pressure of the heat of temptation and of the heat of Satan's persecution and the fear of man. They have said yes to the Lord. And when they've said no, they've repented and returned and changed the decision. Some of the things they did, they can't undo, but they've realigned their heart to say yes. And they've done that as the rule of their life over a long period of time, they are called overcomers or the faithful or they're called those that are worthy. Another word you could put there is the word approved. Paul uses it a couple of times. He goes, I have been approved of the Lord. He's not talking about his salvation. The fact he's born again and forgiven. He got that as a free gift. Matter of fact, he was going the other way, you know, in acts nine, he was on that horse going to Damascus. Well, at least in the movie, he was on the horse. It never says it in the Bible, but he's on the horse going to Damascus to kill Christians. And the Lord appears to him, knocks him off the horse in the movie. Anyway, he hit the ground and he gets converted. I mean, he didn't do anything to deserve that. That thing was an absolute free gift that shocked him. It's all this bright, shining light that's in the Bible. And that hit him. He wasn't found worthy. He wasn't approved of God. At that point, his salvation came as an utter total free gift because of Jesus's work on the cross and Jesus's commitment to pursue him. So when it talks about these terms, counted worthy, considered faithful, approved of God, or an overcomer, those four terms, there's probably several others as well, but those come to mind right now. You could do a word search. It's the idea of being counted worthy for service somewhat in this age, but mostly in the age to come being found faithful. It says in revelation two, the text here, it says, look at this, verse 26, he who overcomes, and this overcoming isn't a moment, it's talking about a consistent response to walk a decision to choose obedience. Does that mean perfection? Does it mean they've never, ever done wrong? That's not what it's talking about. It's talking about in their heart, they have realigned their heart a thousand times a thousand to come back and agree with the Lord, to choose him. God says, I'll give those, this is Jesus talking in revelation two. He's actually the one speaking right here to John. He goes, I will give that person power over nations. They don't have to be famous. They don't have to be anointed. They don't have to have a following. If they overcome at the heart level, I will give them power over nations in the age to come. Those overcomers did not have power over nations in John's day. They were in prisons. No, they were, they were considered jokes. They were mocked. They weren't ruling nations. That was in the eight that's in the millennial kingdom. And then in the age after that as well, he goes on in revelation 21, look at this to him who overcomes, he's talking to the Laodiceans. He's talking to Christians. He's giving these, this he's giving this, uh, promised of being an overcomer to Christians. He's saying you Christians, whichever ones of you press through to become overcomers. He says, not only am I going to give you power over nations chapter two, chapter three, verse 21. You're going to sit with me on my throne, meaning you're going to participate in my new government. He's not saying a million people are all going to squeeze together and sit on one chair. That's not what he's talking about. He's talking about, I'm going to share my government. You're going to be actively, personally, deeply involved with me in setting up the new order on the earth. You will be that he's saying, Laodiceans tongue to the Christians, will you humble yourself, cast off your passivity? And will you go after me? If you do, if you do, you read the Laodiceans of the seven churches of a book of revelation in chapter two and three, seven churches, they were the worst. It's amazing. He gives the worst, the most carnal church, the highest promises. I mean, he says to you, he goes, if you will make the change because they were arrogant, they were passive. They thought they were on fire for God. He says, you think you're hot, but you're, you're not at all. You are not on fire for the Lord at all. You think that you're, you're rich, that things are going well in your ministry. He goes, you're spiritually dead. Your, your, your hearts are not in agreement with me. He's not saying you're all going to hell. He says what he's telling them, he goes, if you will shake off this lethargic spirit, the culture of that day and press in, you will share in my governmental infrastructure in the age to come. And it's not just, you'll get a badge at some faraway nation. This is the language is critical. You will work with me when he says, sit with me. He said, you're going to work close with me and the infrastructure in the age to come in my new order. It's not just giving them a, an assignment and they kind of like email the Lord every now and then, you know, from some distant nation, they are going to actually be an active working close relationship with the son of God. He is offering this to the nations. They will, what if 3 billion all answer? And the Lord says, trust me, I'm positive where this thing's going. Only few are going to answer this call. They will just lose their way. They won't have the vision. They won't stay steady. They'll get excited for six months, but 10 years later, we will look back and they will have gotten off the path. The majority of Christendom through history lives this way. I say this all the time to this group here, but I've been in ministry for 30 years and I'm telling you 90% of the people in 30 years, 90% of the people that are on fire for five or 10 years, 10 years later. And I've, I know many of them, thousands of them in personal way, 90% that were on fire for five or 10 years or not on fire after that five or 10 year period, there's something about this. They go hard for five or 10 years and then they get there, been there, done that, saw it. I don't want it. It didn't work out. It doesn't, that's not for me. And they coast into this passive Christianity. And I mean, the, the ones I knew that were more on fire for God in the seventies were so passive in the eighties and nineties, the ones I knew in the eighties, by the time the nineties came, they'd been there, done that. I'm not pushing, you know, it works so hard on burnout. I'm just going to coast on American Christianity, easy street. The people in the nineties are doing it. Now. I've rarely seen people to stay steady over 10 years. I do know about 10% of the thousands and thousands of people that I've interacted with over the years. And it has been thousands, not hundreds of thousands, but thousands that I've seen their lives over the years in ministry. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see how few ever stay steady over a five or 10 year period. I mean, they, they maybe make it for us, you know, a sprint in the race, a five or 10 year shot, but decades is what the Lord's after. And beloved, you want to set your heart. You are going to go against the current of history in the church. Okay. Uh, paragraph G the two functions, those of you visiting, I never finished all my notes. So don't look at them and go, Oh my goodness, he's only on page, whatever my favorites, my most quoted state. I mean, my most, uh, repeated statement is read the notes on your own. Okay. So don't worry about it. Okay. Paragraph G the two functions, most emphasized for the saints in the age to come. It's not the only functions, but the two that are most honored, I would say even honored and emphasized is that of being priests and that of being Kings. That's not all that the saints will do in the age to come resurrected bodies. They will have many levels of responsibility. Those are the two most honored. Those are the two most primary ones to be Kings and priests and an official capacity before God. Now, in one sense, every believer is a priest in the sense they will all worship and minister to the Lord in that way. But being Kings and priests, there's another dimension of being a priest where they actually, uh, paragraph age, they bring the knowledge of God to others as well. Priests paragraph age. I give a little bit of information on that. The saints will worship as priests. They will intercede and affect the, the unfolding of God's strategy and the age to come intercession beloved, beloved. God will still unfold his plan for the nations through intercession. I hop is never going to go away. It's just going to get a lot more anointed. We'll be doing the house of prayer a billion years from now. It's just going to be a whole lot better. That's all, but it will never go away. This is God's the house of prayer is God's form, his highest form of government in the age to come. He will run his entire world government from the house of prayer in Jerusalem and everybody involved in government will be involved in worship and intercession as is not their only way of, of, uh, governing, but it will be a foundational way. Every King in the earth will be called to intercession and worship natural and spiritual. They will all be actively involved in worship and intercession as the foundation of the government. That's not all they will do in government, but that will be foundational. Okay. Paragraph I as Kings, what are, what are, what are some of you going to be doing in the age to come? The saints will rule with judicial responsibilities and authority. And I'm going to add the word in establishing the worldwide infrastructure and establishing the worldwide infrastructure at the second that begins in the second coming. We're talking about every sphere of life and every nation of the earth. It's massive. The worldwide infrastructure that's going to be redone. I mean, when a war comes and there's a change of power, uh, I mean, there's been so many wars in history. I mean, what just using world war two when world war two, uh, was over the destruction of the national infrastructures throughout Europe and Asia was massive. It took decades and decades to get economics and education roadways. I mean, to get it all done, it took some decades to do it. I mean, just simple things like food and water and electricity were really a burden for a couple of years in the reconstruction. Jesus is not coming to earth, waving his hand and all the broken pipes get fixed in every nation of the earth. They're going to get fixed pipe by pipe with leadership leading them. That's how they're going to get fixed. There's going to be national governments and national leadership, and the thing is going to get fixed worldwide. Just, just issue by issue. Well, these resurrected saints are going to be, they're going to, their role will involve the authority to evaluate. Beloved, those of you that are found faithful, God will use you to evaluate. That's what judging is, evaluating the past. Say of who? Well, I'll leave that one, uh, uh, open. The Bible's not real specific on it. One thing it does say, we will judge the angels. We will evaluate the angels. I think we'll be involved in evaluating the affairs of nations and we'll be involved in, we won't be the ones standing to determine who goes to heaven or hell. It's not in that degree, but evaluating their roles, evaluating their responsibilities, things like that. We will really be in positions of leadership. It's real. Some of you will determine the action plan for a geographic area. Say, Lord, what do you want in this geographic area? He says, I want righteousness and love and justice. Bring me your action plan. Well, Lord, what else do you want? That's, that's a good beginning. You bring me your action plan for your geographic area. I'll tell you what I want. I want people to love one another and I want righteousness and justice everywhere. Get together with your team and come back and let me see your plan. Well, I just thought the Lord was going to wave his hand and all that really was going to be fixed in one minute. No, he's going to, it's going to be built with his people governing the earth. The saints are going to appoint people into positions of leadership. This is going to include training and managing people that are appointed. Beloved, you will be in ministry your entire existence, a billion years from now, you will still be in ministry. You'll be in leadership. Your ministry isn't over when you, when you change bodies, your ministry is beginning at a far more significant level and your ministry, your assignment will be related to your faithfulness at the heart level. What was happening in the secret place of your heart? What you did with time and money and your words and your deeds. It's true of all of us. Look at this, these passages, first Corinthians six, it says, do you not know the saints will judge the world? In other words, evaluate the world. Paul says, don't you know that? And the Corinthians goes, no one ever told us that. He goes, well, I'm telling you right now, some of you, not all the saints, the faithful, they will evaluate the world at starting at the second coming. They will have part of the process of evaluation. I mean, I can take the Lord's role, but the Lord is going to share his government. No saints will determine who saved and not saved things of that magnitude with eternal consequence and that, but they will determine many, many of the issues of the infrastructure and the quality of life. There, there, there is hierarchy in the angelic room. There are angels under angels in the angelic room right now. There will be saints over angels, saints over nations, I mean, natural nations, saints over saints. There'll be teaching, there'll be training, there'll be deploying, there'll be managing, there'll be communicating, there'll be friendship, there'll be supplies and resource distribution. There'll be all kinds of ministry training and teaching going on in your lives in the age to come. You'll have a, you'll have a, a, a, a physical body. It will be supernatural, but it will be as physical as the body you have. You will eat. You will be able to recognize people. You will be able to embrace one another. You will, your, your body will be just as solid as material is right now. Your resurrected body will just be supernatural. It'll be anointed, but it will still be physical. You will look like you, but to the ultimate beauty that God had put into your DNA. There'll be nothing that will mar it at all. You'll be brought to the fullness of glory. The folks that know you will still know you. They'll recognize you. You will remember your time on the earth. You will remember service. You'll have, the way you serve one another, you'll remember conversations. You'll remember big events. You'll remember conversations where you'll remember little events, not just big ones. You will, your memory won't die when you get a resurrected mind. Your memory will be better with a resurrected mind. It's not like you crossed the line and all this is, oh no, it all got deleted. I didn't know it was one of those machines. Everything got lost. This, the whole program got erased. No, your mind will be far more keen with a resurrected body. You will, we will talk about, you'll be able to come to me and talk and says, well, Mike, you know, you got a couple of points, right? But you were off on a couple of points too. I go, yeah, I know. I figured it out now, but I was trying hard. I mean, we'll, I'll remember sermons. We'll remember things that, that we did. We'll, we'll, it says in Luke 16, this is the strangest verse. It says in Luke 16, it says, uh, make friends with the unrighteousness of mammon. He goes, if you use money, right? He goes in your eternal dwellings, they will invite you in and you'll have friendships in eternity related on sowing your money in this age. Luke 16, I think it's verse, I don't know what 20 or something like that. 18, something like that says that you will make friends and they will invite you into their eternal dwelling in the age to come. If you use money, they will remember the way you sowed into their life. The way we spend money will massively be remembered in the age to come. It says, uh, Paul says, you're going to judge the world. He goes, the world will be judged by you. Don't you know, you'll judge angels. I don't mean you'll come in with some kind of autocratic pride and crack the whip. Okay. It's a new, new leadership here. I want to get things in order. It's not going to be that way. You're not judging them in the negative sense, but you're evaluating and setting things in order in the angelic realm. Those that have been most faithful. It's awesome response. You will have deep friendships and interaction with angelic beings and the saints through history. You'll have deep interaction with saints on the earth, with natural bodies, just like angels appear to people now a little bit. You know, it's very rare, but it probably happens, you know, multitudes of times worldwide per day, probably, you know, hundreds and thousands of times of people out of billions have an angelic experience. I mean, the percentage is real small, but if we added it up, it probably surprises how many people are being visited by the Lord in some dramatic supernatural way right now today or worldwide. And so, uh, over history, angels have interacted with people many times through history. I mean, face to face with people, just the, uh, the amount is going to increase because the veil between the two realms is going to be lifted. There's a veil right now. And there's interaction with angels and humans. I've seen an angel several times. I've talked to an angel a couple of times. I mean, face to face and, uh, and it's powerful. It's in, and we will do that with saints in the age to come with those with second, with a natural bodies like the angels do now. But the veil between the realms are going to be lifted because heaven and earth are coming together. The veil will be lifted between the two realms. There'll be far more interaction. Our house will be in the new Jerusalem. That's where you will live, but your work sphere will be somewhat in the new Jerusalem. Probably. I don't know that much about that, but I know that our work sphere will be on the earth, but probably there'll be some assignments in the city as well. So I will dwell in the new Jerusalem, but we will interact with saints on the earth and the way angels do now with saints, but at a far, far more, uh, it, it, it, it won't be every minute of every day, but there will be significant interactions with the Kings of the earth, the Kings and the spirit. So, I mean, with resurrected bodies will interact with Kings, with secular bodies, and the Kings with resurrected bodies will have far more authority. It's like it is now with the angels. There's angelic powers over nations that have far more powerful than the natural King of a nation does. There's demonic powers over nations and areas that have far more powerful, uh, far more power than the people that live under their, their influence. And again, the realm is going to be the, the, uh, veil between those two realms is going to be lifted. It's going to be dynamic. It's going to be real. And we're going to live that way for billions and billions and billions and billions of years. What, what we don't understand and we just lose our way in it. We're on the very, very front end, the very basement level of human experience on God's plan. You know, we look at like, boy, wouldn't it be something to be with the apostles. It wouldn't be something to be back in the days of David or how about Noah, as long as you're on the boat, you know, it'd be really neat. Well, beloved from the perspective of billions of years, you're in the basement level of human experience in God's plan. You're on the front, the very beginning end of it. You'll be alive for billions and billions and billions of years. And we'll talk about that 70 year internship we had on the earth and it will affect our life. I mean, it will dynamically affect our life and the people that see it and make the connect are called wise. The people who don't see it, it's from the, it's in the Bible. Genesis, the revelation, the people that don't see it are called. They have unbelief, even though they're believers, they're believing unbelievers or unbelieving believers. Anyway, you want to say it. I mean, they're born again, but the, uh, by far the vast majority of believers, they didn't have a spirit of unbelief when they read the word of God, this stuff is just everywhere. I mean, there's so many verses in this little handout. There is so much scripture on these subjects. Well, you know, I want to do something practical. You know, people say, you know, I want to, you know, I want to, I don't, you know, the end times, I don't know about all that. I want to do something practical. Let me tell you something as a teacher for 30 plus years, I assure you this, there is nothing more practical for your life. Well, I'd say the love of God first and the fear of God. But let's say this, one of the most practical things, let's put it in perspective. One of the most practical things you will ever do is study the end times. My study of the end times makes me spend time and money very different than if I did not have this insight. If this was not on my mind, I would, I would do many things at a far more careless way. I want to spend my time, my money, my energy. I want to speak words because I know with certainty they will impact my assignment in the long term. I really care about that. And so a billion years from now, I'll just end with this, a billion years from now, we'll look back at the earth, the 6,000 years of natural history from Adam to the second coming of Christ will be approximately 6,000 years. And a billion years later, we'll be like, that was just the dot. You know, if there was a big line written, you know, we've made the line around this whole room, you know, a hundred times just made a line around there that 6,000 years would be one dot on that line of your lifespan. Beloved, we're here for a less than a minute. We're at David's at a breath. We're here. It's gone in a moment. Why aren't we doing this thing with all of our hearts? I'm a little tired and burnout. Nobody appreciates me. Get your mind around, get a life vision, get your mind around reality. What do you mean? Don't dance before the music of people like you or don't like you lock yourself into the big picture of the vision for your life. You don't have to have any gift, any particular giftings or abilities. All you have to do is say yes to obedience and meekness and servanthood. Just go for it hard. And every single movement of your heart is recorded by God. I think it will shock us how precious and how important the little decisions we make in the midst of the mundane. It will shock us. We'll say, Lord, you cared that I was doing that when it just meant the mundane routine. He says, are you kidding? First Peter three verse four or five. It is precious to God when a meek spirit is operating in a person's heart, even if they're all alone or there's three people there and, and their work assignment from heaven might be, you know, our work assignment from heaven and our work assignment on the earth sometime overlap dynamically. Some of much of what I do in my IHOP, uh, uh, job description is I am sure the Lord from heaven says, yeah, I'll go with that job description. Yeah, that works for me. Do it though is unto me. Don't do it just to get people happy. I mean, it's nice that people are blessed, but you do this. I'm the one watching you do this for me. It doesn't matter if they're watching or understand or misunderstand or the money comes or doesn't go or people show up or they don't show up. Do it for me, Mike, you do it. I am recording every single movement of your heart to say yes to obey me in secret and the obedience and the faithfulness and faithfulness. You know, the word for faithfulness is just simply follow through faithfulness is follow through many sincere intentions of many believers follow through is what faithfulness is. You actually keep doing it. And when you don't do it that day, you call it negative. You declare war on it and you sign up within that day to go do it again. Say, okay, shouldn't have done that. I got crazy and I just went off and just slandered somebody for 20 minutes. No, no, no, I'm not doing that. No, I, I took a day of my life and squandered it. No, I'm going to give myself to seeking righteousness and filling myself, the word and serving people and doing my mandate in God. I'm going to, I'm not going to squander my time on pleasure. That's the spirit of our culture. I'm going to give myself to obeying the word of God and care if anybody acknowledges it or honors it beloved, it doesn't matter. There's a cloud of witnesses, Jesus, the foremost witnessing what you're doing. He's called the faithful witness. He's not just the faithful witness in the sense that he's, he tells us faithfully what God says. He's also a faithful witness in the sense he is witnessing everything that you're doing hit the eyes of the Lord, catch everything. He faithfully sees every movement of obedience towards you. He is faithful as a witness in that regard as well, not just as one who testifies to truth, obviously that's the main part of it, but the scripture is clear. He watches all the movements of our heart towards him. Beloved every hour of every day is, uh, is meaningful. It's real. I mean, we, I mean, we can rest in the will of God and, and we can have time off. I'm not talking about a life where you're constantly in tension and producing. There are rhythms of life, but we want those rhythms of life to be under God's righteous government. And the Lord looks at it and he says, this is good. I like this. I like the way your heart is. And I'm remembering, I take this personal because when I was on the earth, this is the Lord speaking is making it up of course. But when I was on the earth, Mike, I'm thinking, I take all this personal. So I'm going to, uh, you know, make it a personal with me, Mike, I saw you pressing in through your twenties and thirties and all those years, whatever. Uh, I take that personal because when I was on the earth, my body was tired too. When I was on the earth, people rolled their eyes and wrote me off and called me a, B, C, D. And it didn't look like it was working. You know, I was anointed, but only three and a half years. Did people see it? There was 30 years where nobody saw any power in my life. I, I was just doing that. Oh, working on that table day in and day out. And they cheated me when I gave him a good table, they did it a bunch of times and they complained and they told lies about my work and they didn't show up on time and they were manipulating all the time. But I just stayed faithful in righteousness. I know what you are doing or trying to do. The Lord takes it personal because he did it. He did it. It means something to him. It's precious to him because he did it. And that's why he's the faithful one. Then he comes back and he wants faithful people with him. Amen. Well, let's stand. So picture that timeline starts here, the front, all the way around. You got to make about a hundred loops, laps around this building. Hundred of them. Think how big that line is going to be. And take one little dot, put one little dot on that line. That's the space of your life in eternity. That's not true. One little dot would be too big. Beloved, it is so wise to go after God as though God is real. It is so wise to do this as though it's real. Amen. Obviously that's what you're here. I'm talking to the choir. You say, I'm here. That's why we're here. We're going for it. But beloved, you don't want to do, you don't want to, you know, uh, you don't want to do six months, three months, you know, the summer of faithfulness, faithfulness. You can't do faithfulness for a summer. You do faithfulness over decades. You can't do a faithfulness. I mean, you can do faithful for a summer, but that's not what faithfulness is. Faithfulness is step follow through for years and years and years without fanfare. So I'm going to call folks up again. And for those that are saying, you know, I, I have to sign up at another level. I just have got to sign up for this. And I, again, I'm, I'm really wanting our, our interns not to come up here. That's not the point, but to really this, some of you, this is your last shot here. And I just want you, I just, I'm speaking to your heart. That's what I'm, I care about what's in your heart right now.
