The End-Time Prayer Movement Working With the Missions Movement
Mike Bickle

Mike Bickle (1955 - ). American evangelical pastor, author, and founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), born in Kansas City, Missouri. Converted at 15 after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach at a 1970 Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference, he pastored several St. Louis churches before founding Kansas City Fellowship in 1982, later Metro Christian Fellowship. In 1999, he launched IHOPKC, pioneering 24/7 prayer and worship, growing to 2,500 staff and including a Bible college until its closure in 2024. Bickle authored books like Passion for Jesus (1994), emphasizing intimacy with God, eschatology, and Israel’s spiritual role. Associated with the Kansas City Prophets in the 1980s, he briefly aligned with John Wimber’s Vineyard movement until 1996. Married to Diane since 1973, they have two sons. His teachings, broadcast globally, focused on prayer and prophecy but faced criticism for controversial prophetic claims. In 2023, Bickle was dismissed from IHOPKC following allegations of misconduct, leading to his withdrawal from public ministry. His influence persists through archived sermons despite ongoing debates about his legacy

Sermon Transcription
...that the Lord gave us at the end of December, started with a Bob McGovern and Bob Jones had a word as the Truman property, this 125 acres. I mean, isn't that amazing that we closed on that exactly on the day, and the Lord has purposes for this property. But anyway, he spoke the word that he was going to make it a United Nations for prayer. Now, I want to emphasize the word A. Our prayers, the Lord would raise up 10 or 20 centers like this across the earth. But the reason we care about knowing this, because the Lord spoke that word, and one word is important, but then a week later, Jill Austin came through with no knowledge of that word and said, I have a word for you, because the United Nations was in a private context. She goes, the Lord showed me he's going to make this new property a United Nations of prayer. And so it was, uh, the word was spoken by two different people a week apart with no knowledge of it. And I'd never heard or thought of such a concept, but the reason we need to know it is for several reasons. Number one is that it will have a diversity of function beyond that, which we would normally think. So this was a divine hint. Think not just bigger, but think more diverse than you would naturally think. Secondly, there will be missions organizations and prayer ministries that are friends that have a friendship relationship with IHOP, but will have their own government and their own leadership that will be based on that property. So it won't be all that's on that 125 acres will not be under the IHOP leadership. We will be in strategic relationships with missions organizations and prayer initiatives, prayer ministries around the world that will be there. And we will be partners in, in the gospel together in that, in that way. And so the United nations word gives us a sense of its seriousness. Number one, it's scope of diversity, all kinds of actions from training to missions, to sending and many different ministries will be, will have a representative or a representation there on that property above and beyond IHOP. So it will truly become a United nations of prayer. But again, I want to emphasize the word a, because we would, that God would raise up 25 of these, uh, unrelated to one another, except for in friendship, just that he would sovereignly stir up such a thing like this and different nations in key cities around the earth. Well, let's move on and give a little bit of the report because I think this report relates to this United nations of prayer, Truman property, this Truman center is what we're going to call it. Paragraph a, a historic meeting of international mission leaders and of international prayer leaders was held January 29th to February 1st. And it was called, it's called the call to all Orlando. Now this, uh, ministry was the primary, uh, impetus of this ministry was campus crusade for Christ campus crusade for Christ and youth with a mission to the two largest missions organizations in the world. They each have about 25,000 staff members and together they represent something like, I don't have the exact number of Mark can correct me, but 40% of the missions work across the earth is in these two organizations. And these two organizations are taking the primary leadership in this organization called call to all, and they're going to 40 different, uh, places across the earth in Orlando was the first one. They'll be, they'll be going through that key cities in Asia and Europe and, and the Pacific Island. I mean the Pacific Rim, et cetera. Well, the call to all is though there will be 40 of these gatherings of international leaders, 40 different times. This was primarily American leaders, although there were internationals as well. And Mark Anderson, as I was saying to our management team, as I was giving this report, I called him our own Mark Anderson and our own Mark Anderson is the leader of this organization. And, uh, most of you know him, those of you who've been around for a while, he gives leadership to the youth with a mission activities here. And he's one of the primary international leaders with you with youth with a mission, but he's been based here in Kansas city for nearly 10 years. And we have a very close and deep personal friendship and we have an understanding of each other's calling. And it's so strategic that Mark is here because he's in a deep relationship with the primary mission leaders around the world. In other words, he was the one that they chose to give leadership to this, this global initiative called call to all that again, we'll meet in 40 different places of the earth over the next three years. And in each of these 40 gatherings, there'll be 500 to a thousand national and international leaders, mission leaders from that part of the world gathering to, to employ and engage in strategy for reaching their part of the world. Well, it wasn't just the missions leaders. There were a number of international prayer ministries as well. We had a, a, a think tank session and 80 of them were present. And so we got to talk for several hours and where are we going to go? What, what is the Lord saying? And what relationship does the prayer movement have to the missions movement? Cause we're all there together. It was a, a, a by invitation only type of meeting about 600 leaders in total came together for these three or four days round a table discussions, a lot of plans drawn up very significant time. Again, Jack Hayford, when he spoke, he called it, and I'd like Mark to actually say it more precisely. So I'm not misquoting Jack jackets. I consider one of the premier Statesman, the body of Christ worldwide. He called it, uh, one of the most significant days for the church, like in the 20th, in the last a hundred years or, or more than that, I don't know, but he made a huge statement. And I believe that it really was paragraph B highlights in this gathering included these 170 CEOs. And most of these missions organizations, by the way, uh, have, you know, large staffs. Uh, I mean, they've been around 40, 50, 60 years type thing. These, these are not kind of new, uh, initiatives. Most of them have budgets of millions of dollars, meaning they're in the, they're employed in the work of world missions in a serious and a long-term way that has been established that has fruit is what I'm trying to say. And so for these mission leaders and the prayer leaders, the prayer movement is relatively new on a global scene in terms of a, of a, uh, uh, a recognized movement, I would say it's maybe 20 years old in terms of a clear movement of which leaders have been emerging with worldwide organizations related to prayer, but the missions movement has been going maybe a 150 years strong in terms of mission organizations. And so the new kids on the block, so to speak, are the, are the, is the prayer movement, uh, and these international organizations, but there was a clear recognition with joy, with excitement that we're not to look at each other across the room or across the nations with a certain hesitation and even a certain suspicion, you know, the missions people go out, but they're not deep. And the prayer people think they're deep, but they're selfish. And all they do is stay in a room. And so they're smiling kind of a recognition of one another over the years, but something happened that was really intense as the Lord brought the leaders together with clarity and understanding of our role together with affection and with joy. Now the mission leaders were gathering with the purpose of defining the task of preaching the gospel in every nation of the earth. They believe soberly because they got all the information. They, they, they know how many peoples and nations there are 6,000 different languages of the earth. There are 12,000 cultures of the earth. They've, they've, uh, uh, recognized 4,000 different geographic zones across the earth. And they know which ones are being reached and which ones do not are not reached, which ones do not have translations of the Bible. And between these 170 different CEOs in their organizations, and there were some that didn't have the chance to make the meeting, I would say maybe there's another 50 that were not present. They believe soberly in 10 or 20 years. But the gospel can be preached in every single nation of the earth in a short amount of time. I mean, they actually have the numbers, the names of the villages, the names of the regions, and they've divided it up among them to go after this thing in a very intentional strategic way. So paragraph under paragraph B, I have the verse Matthew 24. Of course, we all know that passage that the gospel of the kingdom must be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations. And then the end will come. And one of the reasons the gospel has to be preached in all the nations as a witness, well, because the Lord wants to reap a harvest. And we see in Revelation 7, the verse underneath it, that there will be a harvest. There will be a spirit of revival in every single nation before the Lord returns. Not only will the gospel be preached, it will be received with power. Revelation chapter 7 describes a group of people around the throne, a great multitude, representing every single ethnic group, every single culture of the earth. They will be there as victorious overcomers on the last day. Now, one of the reasons the Lord is doing this, obviously, he wants people to be saved. I mean, that's a reason enough. But another reason is that Jesus is not coming to the earth until every nation of the earth has people beckoning him and his leadership over that nation. It's like the father says, you're not going the second time until they cry out with all of their heart from every nation for your leadership. And so the church at the end of the age is in the posture of the spirit of the bride saying, come. As the gospel goes to every nation and as people are saved in every nation in power, they will become part of that global cry, come Lord Jesus, come Lord Jesus. And when a witness in every nation is crying out for Jesus's leadership and his coming to the planet, only then will he come. Paragraph C. The mission's leaders, I've already said this, but I just want to see it again, have defined 4,000 geographic zones and I have 6,000 primary languages. Take the word primary. There's 20 primary languages but 6,000 different languages and dialects. There's 20 primary languages in the earth and 12,000 different cultures approximately. Each one of these 4,000 zones have been strategically identified and targeted by these 170 plus mission organizations. Paragraph D. Jesus will return in answer to the nation's crying out for his leadership. The verses that are indicated in this paragraph are just a few of the passages that make clear from end time prophecy in the Bible, the prayer and worship movement, which is the same thing, will be mature and strong before the Lord returns. It's only emerging in the last, again I'm just in broad strokes, saying 20 years. You could define it in different ways, but the prayer movement is growing rapidly in the nations right now and one of the things that happened as well is these international prayer ministries got together and discussed and the Lord made it clear it was time, and then I won't give all the plans right now, but it was time to bring the connectedness of the global prayer ministries together in a far more intentional and close-knit way. Now there's a number of different alliances of prayer ministries right now. I interact with a number of them and there's a number of them that I have not yet met, but these leaders, prayer leaders, had a unified consensus. It was time to bring up an intentional connecting and to work to bring the prayer movements more closely together in partnership and in friendship together from all around the nations. Now there's a number of plans that were made in the next couple years to do this and then the prayer leaders are saying to the mission leaders, as you're going to 4,000 zones, we are going to cover every one of these mission organizations and we're going to cover all 4,000 zones in specific targeted ways and we're going to pray for the individual missionaries in your organizations on a global level together. And of course we're going to use technology for communication in all kinds of ways. There's, you know, in the miracle of technology, there's so many ways for information and and just the graphics of pictures and families and situations in real time being shared on a global level. It's very dynamic. Revelation 5.8, the bowls of incense will be full before the Lord returns. The bowls of prayer, incense is the prayer of the saints, are not yet full but they will be full. That means the prayer movement will be mature. Well, you know, I look at us and I look across the nations, I go, Lord, we're awful weak. We're just weak broken human beings and the Lord would answer, yeah, I calculated your weakness when I assured you that you would come to maturity. So my confidence isn't in how mature any of us are but it's the Lord's zeal to bring the prayer movement to maturity or the worship movement, again it's the same thing, and to bring it together and to join it in a dynamic way with the missions movement. Now look at Isaiah 42. This is one of my favorite passages. I would like it to be one of yours as well. Now how's that as a friendship statement? I love this passage. Isaiah 42 verse 10 to 13 gives a very clear prophecy and description of the prayer movement, the worship movement across all the nations, in the mountains, in the cities, in the villages, in the coastlands, and they're crying out to the Lord, verse 13, and then Jesus, verse 13, that's the second coming, Jesus is stirred up like a mighty man of war. His zeal is stirred and he comes back in answer to the cry, we love you, we love you, Jesus, we love you. The worship movement in all the nations is crying out and verse 13 is one of my favorite descriptions of the second coming. He comes back in zeal as a warrior to answer the love songs ascending from all the nations of the earth. He doesn't come back in a vacuum. He comes back in answer to a global prayer movement. Now the prayer movement is is paving the way in the spirit for the missions movement and then the missions movement is bringing the multitudes of the nations to the Lord who then become part of the prayer movement as well. The great global concerts of prayer. Let's go ahead and turn the page. Paragraph F, the leaders of these international prayer movements have established plans to come together in increased ways, strategic alliances. Again, I've said that but I just want you to see it. I put these notes together just so you could look at this a little bit later. I want you familiar with what's happening. I'm going to partner together with the mission leaders to cover all 4,000 zones. So what we're asking practically, number one, we're going to ask every house of prayer in the earth and the prayer leaders in the world have a handle on the vast majority of the prayer ministries across the earth. There are strategic prayer leaders in India, all throughout Asia, Africa and they know the prayer initiatives in their own regions. Now not all of them but the vast majority of them can be identified and then those leaders coming together, there is a way to have the information brought together where there's a a real clarity about the areas that are strong, the areas that need strengthened in prayer and we want to see every house of prayer, every single one, little I mean I mean whether it's a little prayer ministry we're just going to call them all house of prayer, prayer ministries, whether it's three people in a dorm room we're calling it a house of prayer, prayer ministry synonymous. We're going to ask every one of them as well as every individual intercessor to do three things and so therefore this is personal for you and it's personal for the house of prayer. I hop here in KC. We're going to ask every single prayer house of prayer or prayer ministry to adopt one of these mission organizations. Now they can adopt more than one but we don't want them to have a grocery list of 50 so they never get around to really focusing on anybody. We're going to ask every single house of prayer in the earth to adopt one of these missions organizations more than the 170 because the 170 though are connected to missions organizations in other countries. You know there could be several thousand primary mission organizations of the earth and the missions leaders know that number they know who they are and where they are but we're going to have comprehensive lists and we're going to have every house of prayer adopt one. Then we're going to ask every house of prayer and every individual to take three missionaries full time missionaries. Those that this is their job it's their occupation they're in another nation preaching the gospel. I realize that in one sense everybody's a missionary we all are called to preach but we're talking about those that are it's their primary occupation they're in another nation bearing the difficulties of that culture and the and the newness of it the you know in the uh the foreign dimensions and we want to cover them in prayer in strategic ways and then we want every single house of prayer every prayer ministry again I don't mean house of prayer again like a whole missions base but every small little prayer ministry to pick one of the 4,000 zones that they will pray for on a regular basis. Paragraph two IHOP it was in January 2004 so it was a big deal in terms of our eight-year history we adopted YWAM came into we recognized the lord's partnership for us to stand with YWAM. Of course it was very natural because Mark Anderson's right here and he's one of the senior leaders of YWAM and I've had a long-term friendship with John Dawson for 20 years and he's been the president of YWAM but it's more than that it's more than just having fun together it was a clear strategic indication I mean a a sovereign indication from the lord that there was a strategic alliance and we define that. Now at IHOP we want to strengthen that in a greater way we have ways where we pray for YWAM outreaches etc but we want to make it even more specific and in a more deeply connected relationship. So that's our missions organization of course we have another kind of partnership with God TV and by the way Rory Allick was at these meetings and he was recognized by the international missions leaders as a media missionary and he was showing this conference you know to across the world live and so they were really appreciating Rory it was his it was a new relationship for him with a number of these guys but it was a really exciting thing. IHOP has as a zone of the earth of course we're taking on a number but we're taking as our strategic zone the nation of Egypt the city of Cairo and I'll tell more about that when we have more time I we mentioned it in December a couple times I don't I don't know if you understood the the weight of it the gravity of it but it was on December 5th 2007 just about two months ago when the Lord made it clear that we were it was now to begin our our focus and interaction with Egypt in a very strategic way and it's not an accident that the apostolic leader which I considered he would certainly not say this but the primary apostolic leader in the Muslim world of the 22 Muslim countries in the Middle East he has the only mega church 7,000 members radical for Jesus loves the Holy Spirit the Lord stirred his heart to come spend a a nearly a week at IHOP starting next week and he is uh we met a number of his leaders at this missions thing in Orlando and they were saying that he is connected to almost all the primary ministries in the Islamic world I'm talking about churches and ministries that are radical for Jesus and love the Holy Spirit in the prophetic ministry and so I believe that Pastor Sam his visit here is going to solidify IHOP's focus on this zone of the earth although we will be focused on a number of zones as well but this is a we're asking every house of prayer to lock into one as a primary one of course everyone we want everyone to pray for Israel everybody that's a number three there I want to end with this and then have Mark Anderson Mark how about come on from behind the curtain number one Mark Anderson no let's welcome Mark okay let's yeah there you go I'll put you over here so I don't wrap you up in this Mark is uh just lives right down the way he's been here for about 10 years and of course you're seeing see him at IHOP he shared a number of times and I I really appreciate this man but I want to give the last verse just as he's preparing right here in Ephesians chapter 3 and Ephesians 3 18 Paul prayed that we'd be able to comprehend the love of God but beloved we could only comprehend the love of God in context to all the saints there's much of the love of God can only be seen and understood in the lives of others part of our inheritance is in the hands and the hearts of others in the body of Christ that we have not yet met and the love of God for us is in their hands and in the grace of God God is entrusted to them and the Lord saying you will only know the width the fullness of my love in context to connecting with them in the Holy Spirit because there's things I'm holding back that I've given to them that I won't give you except through them and vice versa and of course this is true for all of us and so this idea of the symphony no matter how much God gives us here we're still only one or two instruments in the symphony and we need the whole symphony across the earth together to comprehend which means to experience the fullness of the love of God Mark has things in the love of God for me that I cannot have except I love Mark and open my heart to him which I gladly do so give us a little review of what happened in Orlando you were the leader of this I mean you've been talking about this for a year to us it really happened they really came they really did I just want to say first of all just a hi family you know I'm married to YWAM I carry that name second hi family there you go there you go just for fun no for real I mean I know speakers say those kinds of things on the front end of what they're going to you know share on but my wife and I feed on what happens in this place all the time I mean you go into our house we have a couple computers usually at any given time tuned into the prayer room and when the services are on one's on the service one's on the prayer room I travel about 220 days a year everywhere I go it's my laptop's with me it's playing in the room it plays while I sleep at night I know a great deal about what's going on here because we feed on this place and that's intended of the Lord you know I carry the name YWAM you know that's that's my covenant body that I work with and will for the rest of my life unless God moves me but I have another lover and it's permissible and it's you and I want you to know that and it's very important that it comes out of a love relationship because this is not just a strategic discussion we're not just dealing here with all these organizations getting together and saying you know why don't you carry that little part and I'll carry this part and we'll meet once a year and we'll share finances and share methodologies and all the rest of it now the Lord is aligning his church right now the Lord is aligning his church it's all about the Lord Jesus Christ it's all about the glorification of who he is in the earth actually all the organizations and their names and their numbers and all the rest of it is all just diminishing it's not that they're shrinking they're growing but there's less and less identification as well I'm a charismatic I'm an evangelical I'm a baptist I'm assembly of God I'm a I'm an independent actually you could go to this congress that we were at last week nobody could tell they all just kept standing up on the stage and everybody's well who that who's that person with well you know what is their denominational mix what really is their belief system or their DNA and their organization you couldn't tell the difference these organizations blended not because they decided to come together and you know just be nice to each other they are coming together because Jesus is doing something he is aligning his church now this is really important because I have a lot that Mike wants me to share in a very short amount of time he gave me a pretty long list you could do it I can do it but if we don't get the basic principle of what's happening here and understand the timeline that we are in and you hear about this all the time we have you know huge amounts of eschatology and all the rest go on here and I love all of it but let's understand what the Lord is doing why he's doing it first of all they're not two movements Mike knows this they're not two movements the prayer movement and the missions movement they're one movement they're all under the Lord Jesus Christ and he is the Lord of everything he's doing in the earth and he's been orchestrating all these different parts you know since he was on the earth he's he reigns over all of it but right now he's bringing them together in intentional fashion he's bringing them together in a love relationship but it's all built around him the more we draw near to him the more we draw near to each other that's why what you do here is so significant and the intimacy piece is not just a piece for prayer people the intimate piece intimacy piece is not just a curriculum piece for the house of prayer it's what the Lord's saying to everyone at this in this particular time now like take the Muslim world for a moment how are we going to reach that now that's really important to us in the missions world with our discussions but how are we going to actually reach the Muslim world I'll tell you how because when we actually move in intimacy in relationship deep with the Lord it is the one distinguishing factor apart from doctrine and what's been written in scripture and all the rest that will attract everybody everybody is looking for that peace now the Lord just uh lined the whole thing out for us when he was on the earth he has simply said all the teachings of the prophets all the commands of the bible can be summarized in two statements love the Lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength and love your neighbor now this piece of the movement which we call the prayer movement deals with the vertical it deals with the intimacy piece the up piece the focus on the Lord himself it always must start there that's the first of the two that Jesus shared but the second piece is loving your neighbor as yourself the truth is the missionaries that are emerging right now on the earth and will be emerging in the earth are going to come out of that intimacy experience and if they don't they'll dry up and not make it it there'll be many many who are called full-time to be in prayer rooms and and to intercede and you know I'm actually jealous over that they'll be dearly tough for me because I'm in prayer rooms for about 10 minutes and I have strategies for nations I've got to go somewhere that's the way God's tooled me but many many will stay and do that as a full-time thing but many more will actually be the ones that go out as God gives the deposit as he gives the strategy for the nations of the earth in every category so this has to work together now the Lord gave me a burden for this about 20 years ago before IHOP ever started move me here sovereignly my family the organization I represent within YWAM to Kansas City the year before the IHOP was born 1998 move me out of Hawaii you know that's God move me out of Hawaii to Kansas City just look outside Gloria can I get an amen she moved from Hawaii but that was intentional and the Lord put us together very quickly after that and then has been moving that year by year deeper and deeper in relationship and it's all come out of our relationship which again I think is it's so important it's not just we think you know we're kind of cool and you know you've got some neat things going let's face it we're cool I mean come on we don't have to get their vote but we know I mean I even love his idiosyncrasies but there's lots of them it's fun but it's not a relationship it's out of spending time in here I just love the fact that last week the Lord allowed him to be in something that you know I'm part of a lot of the time yeah see I have a different thing you go to a prayer meeting and get mission strategies I went to the missions meeting I said I got to get home to IHOP man I was groaning I said I gotta get to a prayer room it's true it absolutely is but he had all sorts of strategies were born in that environment because it's the same Lord same Holy Spirit and so it's emerging now what I represent is not about me it's not about the organizations or YWAM or campus but it is about what God's saying in the earth in 1975 Lauren Cunningham who founded YWAM and Bill Bright who founded Campus Crusade for Christ were both in Colorado because the Lord had called independently of one another called both of them with their wives to pray and fast for three days they didn't know that the other was there Lauren was up in the mountains and Bill was down in Boulder down near Denver and they were both fasting and the Lord said go away for three days and I will show you more about the Great Commission I will help you understand Matthew 28 you know what that really means what does it mean to disciple a nation when the Lord said go into all the world preach disciple all nations what does that mean to disciple a nation how do you do that well they were both fasting over that again Lauren's in the middle of the woods with Darlene and and what time is this about 1975 1975 1975 1975 Lauren and Darlene are in the middle of the woods Bill and Vonette are over in Boulder and they're praying and fasting so Lauren gets this download he writes down seven points that define what it means to disciple a nation the seven primary areas of influence or spheres in every society on earth family government education science technology arts entertainment sport business religion all of these laid out for him in categories in these seven you know when you disciple a nation it is not just about a church or a church service it's not about one category we call religion it's every category of life because the Lord created all of it and he knows how it all is meant to function do you believe that he knows how the family's meant to work the government the educational system everything has been lined outlined by the Lord so we've had this too simplistic idea of what missions is about so the Lord gives that to him he writes it down now he's the last day of his fast and up a truck drives up to this little cabin he's in he doesn't have a you know telephone or anything this truck drives up a ranger truck from the fire station drives up and says are you Lauren Cunningham well yes well there's a call for you back at the ranger station 12 miles away and he said there is he said yeah some guy named Bill Bright would you like to take the call and Lauren goes well sure he jumps in the truck goes back to the station Bill says Lauren I heard you're out here you know in the mountains and yeah well I'm out here praying with Darlene and and Bill says well I am too I'm in Boulder with Vonette and we're praying and fasting together and and can we get together in Denver before you leave well sure so the next day they're both done with their fast he flies over in a little plane over to Denver and they actually meet there by the airport and when he sees Bill Bill's comes up to him like a little kid who just came out of a candy shop all excited like I've got the stuff and starts talking to him and says Lauren Lauren God gave me the secrets to Matthew 28 the key principles in discipling a nation so he starts listing these these principles he got guess what he got he got a similar list little different tweak on it of the main spheres and all the societies on the earth right so right after Bill finishes Lauren reaches in his pocket pulls out a list and says Bill this is what God gave me those two founded the two largest mission agencies it's probably the batteries that does happen there you go that's they plugged in you know just a joke now what's important about this those two organizations represent about 44,000 today 44,000 full-time missionaries over half a million part-time missionaries in the world there are just under 12 percent of the world's missions for oh so it's 12 percent yeah it's a fourth 44,000 that you were 100 so that these two organizations 25,000 each about well yeah but 44,000 between them full-time okay and about a half a million volunteers are part time and so they two organizations represent 12 of the missions force in the earth today that's so that's Bill Bright and Lauren Cunningham those two organizations and then the rest the rest would be you know it would be considerable drop in number but what's important about that is not the size of the organization what's important is that the Lord selected those individuals to reveal some things to them and they've built their organizations around this revelation now for me this became very personal because God called me into YWAM I was already in ministry over 15 years but you know through Lauren Cunningham I came into youth with a mission then this last year I was hijacked into something else Bill had a dream you know before he died about bringing together the whole church to reach the whole world and he called it the Global Pastors Network and I was part of that and there were about 27 of us who were called initially just to be on some board and whatever but I never dreamt that I would end up leading it as a matter of fact Steve Douglas who took over after Bill Bright died went to be with the Lord Steve called me last year January just over a year ago and said you know we're looking for a president for GPN a new president for GPN would you take the job and I started laughing I said you know Steve I do have another job you know like 80 hours a week and I fly 220 days a year and he said well I know that he said but you can just add this you know my wife's in the background no no no six children six children homeschooling five grandkids we could talk about that but anyway I have pictures but the Lord on January 18th after the third time Steve asked me January 18th of last year that's important to me that's my youngest son or our youngest son's birthday and it's always a prophetic day for us but that day I had a six-hour encounter with the Lord now this really ties into what Mike's talking about in that encounter the Lord told me to take the role and lead this thing and not to leave where I went but just to add it which again is kind of extraordinary but in that time did it in the context of seeing through vision and various revelations that came the harvest of the earth both the terrible and the glorious sides of it and understanding the timeline we're on that last year was a preparation year this year's a transition and next year begins a serious shaking and all of it is in that environment or that backdrop moving forward now interestingly enough Mike just a few days before that the last seven days of the previous year began with a dream on the 28th of December and in the dream the Lord's coming to me and he's saying take notes I'm going to give you notes and you're going to give these to Mike and in the notes the first statement was no longer call the two movements two movements they're one they're both mine and I didn't give him a lot of the other notes I gave him that piece when I came back here two weeks later but the part just below that was um you've had a little you've you've you've done a little bit together with small nations like New Zealand this house prayed for almost 11 weeks 24-7 for a major initiative across that nation in 2004 he said but that was just practice that was warm-up now I'm going to hand you the giants and you need to learn how to move together strategically as one doesn't mean you become one but under the Lord Jesus Christ which is the only way you unify any of us unify we've got to move together in a strategic fashion now I from that point on I took this organization changed the title over it and said call the wall because that's a whole lot bigger than a pastor's network and then we have multiple networks under it representing all the different categories and spheres but this was the first one last week and the Lord sovereignly met us there and I have been praying and praying and praying for 20 some years about a true strategic alliance between the prayer movements in the earth and the missions movements which are meant to be one movement last week in affection in love for each other it began to come to come together or the beginning was before that the beginning in many ways I think and God probably has all sorts of different things going on the earth I don't know about no doubt but Mike and I have been moving together closer and closer relationally over the years but last week something landed something happened not only did the missions leaders or the prayer leaders that were there catch what was going on with the missions movement but the the leaders of the missions movements caught what was going on to a degree an introductory way what's going on the prayer movement and we're talking all of these leaders this the 17 leaders of a major group or I can't get into this but one of the key clusters of leaders that I meet with three times a year came to the call last Saturday Mike called them up on the stage and we actually said I do to each other like a marriage covenant and the the missions leaders and the prayer leaders are moving together in a whole new fashion then Mike came home with all sorts of ideas and plans you heard about two percent of it but he has all these thoughts about how to bring this together strategically I believe those are downloads from from God he's going to do something in our day now please catch what's happening here we only have a couple minutes left in this service we'll do a longer one for you later like Mike usually does he'll do longer one second service in evening but you have to get the you have to watch this or get the dvd but the last time anything like this happened even on just a local level was the Moravian movement where they prayed for over 100 years almost 120 but those actually became the missionaries that went in the truth the first true missions movement of the earth since the first century went to all these different places in the earth you watch what's going to happen with these hundreds of thousands millions of people that are praying aligned with the missionary leadership and all their staffs around the world just watch what's about to happen listen we better catch this in our spirit because we are in we are at the front end of of an explosion in the earth and it's going to be a rapid harvest it's going to be turbulent but it's going to be glorious the lord is serious about returning and he's not going to return until every ethnic group in the world knows who he is and they're all crying out for him and they're all praying and and and drawn to him in intimacy and in that cry he's going to return but we are just moments away in terms of history where it's it's not the one minute to midnight anymore we're in the seconds area because we are at that time we are right at the edge of the literal fulfillment of matthew 24 14 this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all men and then the end will come the nations is ethnos the final people groups are being adopted right now they're going to be penetrated probably in the next three to five years that literal fulfillment is on us now that's right and in the two and a half years we're going to meet lord willing with a hundred thousand leaders in 40 regions of the world representing every country of the earth and they are adopting every zone every community every neighborhood and every house and every person on the earth and they are serious about bringing the gospel to them and the prayer movements that are part of the movement of the lord are going to pray into all of that strategically line upon line because everybody on earth should be prayed for everybody on earth should know that's right my goodness so at at the call orlando we had about 8 000 people it was last saturday of these 170 leaders the principal leaders the 17 the real leaders of the 170 came and stood on the platform at your invitation i mean we we wanted you up there but you helped get them there was you were there together and so we are all up there together and uh these of the 17 primary leaders of the 170 they said yes prayer movement we want to intentionally connect to you we can't go forward without you and the prayer movement is saying we are not complete without you and there's a number of global initiatives and strategic meetings plan the next couple of years we'll get we'll just unpack as the months unfold but there's a lot of coming together a lot of those leaders are going to be coming through kansas city and we're going to want to know who they are and pray for them and our key one we'll just end with this is uh tomorrow dave hamilton who is one of the senior leaders of ywam he gives leadership to their what is called the university of the nations which is their bible school which is in how many locations is the bible school university of the nations if there's 500 locations and 137 nations so 500 different locations their bible school has outlets and so he's the leader of that he's going to come and spend a day or two with us to strategize about how we can do this thing together so he's gonna i'm gonna put together the global map well yeah this is actually really four thousand zones this is really exciting the map that the body christ is beginning to use across the earth which is interactive that will give 168 categories of information into 4087 zones and then down to communities and neighborhoods he designed and he called me minutes after mike said david should come here to his staff he called me and said i've changed my reservations i want to fly to kansas city and spend a day would that be okay i emailed mike moments after he told his staff david should come this is another alignment piece because if we don't have a common map for our praying and our going we can't function in a oneness the same way so the lord is granting us through technology an ability that we've never had in history and that is to map the entire earth so that the entire body of christ can go after the whole earth together and the architects coming tomorrow so i'm going to say real quick a point that that he made i was talking to some of our leadership team about david hamilton uh just two three days ago and i said we need to get david hamilton to come visit us i well he lives in hawaii and he's all over the earth i said i don't think he could come within six months but maybe sometime within a year maybe six months we could have him come i go we need him to come sit with us for strategic uh discussions and so i leave that leadership meeting i go to my laptop he emails me hey dave hamilton's coming monday is there any way that you could have a coffee with him i said yes we need him so i love the lord yes organizing that let's stand i don't expect you to have all this information memorized but uh i'm gonna take some of the things you just shared and ann's back there taking notes and we're gonna add some of the names and the dates into the handout so if you care about the names and the dates more precisely in these seven areas that bill bright and lauren cuttingham uh focused in on they'll be in the evening handout so you just go to the website and just get the handout if you care about that it'll be a little have a little more information on it because we want to be informed about times and dates and people and places and as they're coming and we got so many leaders that'll be coming through here mission leaders that we really want to embrace and open our heart to because the lord is raising up a united nations of prayer on that truman property and again we trust that he'll do that in cities key places all over the earth the same kind of thing here's what i'm asking you to do the whole group i'm asking you to say as i pray in a moment yes to the lord as part of the ihop family whether not just ihop staff the ihop family the whole body here yes lord we say yes to ywam in a fresh way that is our mission organization that we're really locked into and again we have another one that's a different relationship it's god tv we are connected to them and in a in a very uh dynamic way as well but in terms of preaching the gospel on the street it's ywam that we're connected to then a number two i want you to say yes to the zone of course we're praying for many places of the earth lord we adopt egypt we say yes to this and i'll again i spoke a little bit about that in december and i'll give a little bit more about it when we have more time and then i want you to ask the lord to say yes to the lord i will take three of these three issues on in my own heart yes lord i will adopt a mission organization and it could be ywam you might it might be ihops and yours that's how i'm doing it i'm taking you officially as well i hope i'm taking you officially as my individual one and then
