Mike Bickle

Mike Bickle (1955 - ). American evangelical pastor, author, and founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), born in Kansas City, Missouri. Converted at 15 after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach at a 1970 Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference, he pastored several St. Louis churches before founding Kansas City Fellowship in 1982, later Metro Christian Fellowship. In 1999, he launched IHOPKC, pioneering 24/7 prayer and worship, growing to 2,500 staff and including a Bible college until its closure in 2024. Bickle authored books like Passion for Jesus (1994), emphasizing intimacy with God, eschatology, and Israel’s spiritual role. Associated with the Kansas City Prophets in the 1980s, he briefly aligned with John Wimber’s Vineyard movement until 1996. Married to Diane since 1973, they have two sons. His teachings, broadcast globally, focused on prayer and prophecy but faced criticism for controversial prophetic claims. In 2023, Bickle was dismissed from IHOPKC following allegations of misconduct, leading to his withdrawal from public ministry. His influence persists through archived sermons despite ongoing debates about his legacy

Sermon Summary
Mike Bickle emphasizes the significance of the seven thunders in Revelation, which represent prophetic messages crucial for the end times. He explains that these messages will be entrusted to uniquely prepared messengers who embody the truth and power of God, enabling them to impact history and fulfill God's purposes. Bickle highlights the dual nature of these messages, which will be both sweet and bitter, reflecting the complexities of God's plan and the urgency for believers to engage deeply with His heart. He encourages the church to prepare for the coming of these prophetic oracles, as they will play a vital role in the culmination of God's end-time purposes.

And we thank you for the Word of God. We thank you for the encouragement to press into your heart, Lord. And Lord, we ask you for that special, supernatural realm of revelation from your heart, and we thank you. In Jesus' name, Amen. This is session seven in our studies in the end times, and I'm titling this end time messengers, the seven thunder, the seven thunders prophets. It's in Revelation chapter 10, verse 3 and 4, John reveals that there were seven thunders that uttered their voice before God, and they had a message. And these seven thunders gave a message that actually released or contributed in a significant way to releasing the end time purpose of God in verse 7. Verse 7 tells us that these thunders, when they were released, in the sounding of these thunders, that the purpose of God came to completion. Now we know that God has many things that contribute to his end time purpose, but there is a particular role that the prophetic oracle will have, and I'll say that again, there's a particular role, a very important role, that the prophetic oracle will have in the coming of the Lord, in the ending, the summing up, and the coming to completion of God's end time purpose. Now these seven thunders, these seven messages, these thunders are messages. They're not seven messengers. I believe there'll be thousands. I don't think millions, maybe, who knows, but there will be many of these prophets. The percentage will be small. It won't be the majority of the body of Christ, but there will be a spirit of prophecy, the spirit of Elijah, resting upon the body of Christ, and God is going to raise up uniquely trained messengers in whom he will entrust, verse 3 and 4, he will entrust the message of these seven thunders to. Seven different dimensions, seven of the purpose of God, seven distinct messages, is what we understand, are going to be imparted to weak and broken people like you and I, and these messengers will lift up their voice and speak and there will be creative power. Things will be loosed in the spirit and history will be changed. Now I know this sounds very grand and noble and unrealistic, but it's a significant part of the end time purpose of God that prophets, people made out of the same flesh and blood that you are. I mean, I have no doubt that there's some in this room right now. You know, when we think of the end time, I mean, we think of the prophets through history, we think of them in their glorified state, you know, they're written up in the Word of God and the Catholic Church has statues about them, you know, and you see them around and like they're just unbelievable. I've been to some of those places in Italy, these awesome statues of these grand messengers of God in days gone by, but what we fail to do is understand that they were, it says in James that Elijah was a man of like passion, of like nature. He stumbled and tripped just like we do, and that's just almost inconceivable to imagine. And so we've got this gap in our understanding that these prophets are so out there that they're, it doesn't really relate to anybody here. And the shock of our life is going to be that God in His tenderness is actually going to draw broken people to Himself and He's going to release such an impartation to them. Now we have no way of knowing the number of the prophetic messengers that God's going to entrust these, the message of these seven thunders. We don't know the, again, the number. It could be, I think it's thousands, could be more, could be millions, but regardless the number, I know the percentage will be small, the body of Christ, but still the numbers will be substantial. And what's going to happen is in verse 3 and 4, we're going to just look at that for just a moment here, it says, and when the angel cried, well let's just read the whole chapter, okay, I'll read the whole chapter and then we'll, because it's such a, probably an unfamiliar chapter to some of you in this room. John's talking, he says, I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, and he's going to describe this angel in seven different ways. He was clothed with the cloud, he had a rainbow on his head, his face, his face was like the sun, his feet were like pillars of fire, and he had a little book in his hand, but the book was opened, that's significant, and he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. And he cried out with a loud voice, he has a very loud voice, the voice like the voice when a lion roars. Now listen, when this angel cried out, when the activity of the angel was released, when the angel was engaged in the will of God, then the seven thunders were released, they uttered their voices, or they messages. Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices or their messages, John says, I was about to write, I was going to rewrite them down just like he did the rest of the book of Revelation, but a voice from heaven said, no, don't, don't, don't, seal up. In other words, take the messages that you've just heard, seal them up, write them, seal them up. What this means, we'll look at this in a few moments, is to seal it up, it's talking about, the Lord says, I'm not gonna let the messages be known until the very last of the, the very end of the last days, which we call the end times, because the last days began on the day of Pentecost, so we're at the end of the last days. The Lord told, the voice from heaven said, seal up, in other words, these messages, and the idea is, these messages are going to be unlocked in the generation the Lord returns, and the idea is, they're gonna be uttered through human beings like John. Angels will be involved in releasing these seven thunders, these seven prophetic oracles, but it's gonna be humans on the earth that are actually going to utter, utter these words on the earth. He said, seal up the things which the seven thunders have uttered, and don't write them down, and the idea, it's a same principle that Daniel, the prophet, experienced three times in the book of Daniel. The angel said, seal it up, and in the last days, now in the end times, again, the last days began on Pentecost. We've been in the last days for 2,000 years, but the final hours of the last days, those final decades, we call the end times. And three times in the book of Daniel, the angel told Daniel to seal the book, in other words, don't release the truth, because God would release it in the end times through his servants, the prophets. Beloved, those servants, the prophets, are gonna be people like you and me. They're gonna be weak and broken people that experienced the mercy of God, and by just an outrageous hunger in their spirit for the presence of God, they're gonna press into the deep things of God's heart. God's tenderness is going to sustain them, His beauty is going to fascinate them, but His revelation is gonna be like thunder in their spirit. And when they receive these utterances from heaven, they will then release them as thunder. They will receive the thunderous revelations, and then when they release them, they will release them like thunder, and they will move things in the spirit, angels and demons, and they will shift things in natural history. This is a very, very significant chapter in the Word of God for this hour of history. So anyway, verse 4, He said, seal up the things which the seven thunders have uttered. Don't write them down. In other words, don't make the information known. Now, John knew the information. He heard them enough that he could write them down. He could write the messages down clearly, and undoubtedly John was thundering under the impact. His spirit was shaking and trembling under the power of what he received. It had weight to it. Yeah, the information itself undoubtedly was stunning and surprising to him. Well, since that's the burden of the passage, I guess I can get off on it for a minute, but I'm just trying to read through it, and we'll come back and do it verse by verse. Verse 5, Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven. Now, you're gonna find this phrase on the sea and on the land three different times, in each of the three sections of this chapter. I'll talk about why that's significant in a minute, but I just want you to notice it. Anyway, this angel, this mighty angel whom he saw standing on the sea and the land raised up his hand to heaven, and he swore by God. He swore by the Lord. He swore by Him who lives forever. That's the God of eternity. Then he swore by the God who created the heavens, the earth, and the sea. He swore by the God of sovereignty. He lifts his hand, the angel, and swears by God's eternity and by God's sovereignty, because those are the two themes that are going to be significantly related to the message of the seven thunders, eternity and sovereignty. Okay, and here's what the angel swore. He swore by the God of eternity and by the God of sovereignty. He said that the things, the things that are in it, I mean he swore by the sea and all the things that are in it, that there should be no delay any longer. There should be delay no longer. In other words, he swore that when these messages are uttered, there will no longer be any delay in time for the culmination of the purpose of God. Time has ran out for waiting. Now that's glorious, but terrifying. I mean, we all want to see God, right? We all want to go to eternity, and so, but the moment our death is in front of us, we go, uh, you know, what about tomorrow? Tomorrow's a good day to go to eternity. We think, oh, this is gonna be so awesome that we've run out of time, but it might have a feeling of just the eternity and sovereignty and the thunder of God. I mean, undoubtedly, we'll go, yes, this is, I guess, what we've been preparing for. We love it, and the earth will be absolutely shaken by this. When the angel promised, there will no longer be a delay any longer. Time has ran out. When these seven thunders utter their voice, and when the purpose of God comes to completion, it goes on to say, verse 7, that in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, when he is about the sound, the mystery of God will be finished, as declared to his servants the prophets. Verse 8, and the voice which I heard from heaven, he spoke to me again, and he said, John, I'm adding that, John, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel, who stands on the sea and on the earth. There it is written again. So I went to the angel, and I said to him, give me the little book. Give me the little book that has the message of these seven thunders in it. And he said to me, the angel said, verse 9, take the little book and eat it. He says, however, know this, when you eat this little book, when you meditate and when you understand the message of the seven thunders, your stomach will become bitter. It will make your stomach sick when it really connects with you what's happening. However, it will be sweet as honey in your mouth. There will be a certain delight in it, but there will be a certain sour, bitter note to it. It's not one or the other, it's both and. It's sweet, however, it's bitter. The message is glorious. Multitudes will be getting saved. The power of God, as uttered through the voice of these messengers, the authority and the power of God will be released, and multitudes will come, and many will be healed and saved, and the beauty of God will be unveiled. There will be a sweetness in the declaration. But when it's fully digested and it's understood fully, when the implications of this message impact the rebellious world and even the believers, because the rebellious world will persecute the believers who hold this message. He said there will be a bitterness to it. So John, verse 10, was forewarned and therefore, forewarned is to be forearmed, or however you say that. Anyway, something like that. I think I said it right. Okay, verse 10. Then I took the little book out of the angel's hand and I ate it. And John could have said the angel was right. It was sweet as honey. I loved studying it. I loved meditating on it. I loved digesting it. I loved proclaiming it. There was a sweetness to the process. I encountered God in each step of the process of digesting the messages of the seven thunders. But when I had eaten it, when I had fully digested it and assimilated the message, John could say the angel was right. It made my stomach sick. The verse that comes to mind immediately is in Luke 19, verse 41. Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Jesus had so many words of promise in his heart over Jerusalem, because he's gonna reign over the whole earth from Jerusalem. Jesus has, when he was weeping over Jerusalem, he wept over Jerusalem with the full knowledge of the glory of God that would fill the earth from Jerusalem. It was sweet and bitter. And then the angel said to me, verse 11, he said to me, now you must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. He tells him, he says, this message must be prophesied. And again we'll look at that in a few moments, but the point of it is God's purposes will only be released when they're uttered under the anointing of the Spirit by his people. Isn't that amazing? Amos chapter 3, verse 3 to 9 is a parallel passage to this, to Revelations 10, and that God does nothing except he speaks it to the prophets first, and the prophets do it. God does nothing until the prophets partner with him in receiving and proclaiming, but not just the information, more than just receiving the information, proclaiming it, but living in the spirit of what that information is about. It's not just an information transfer. It's the Word of God becoming incarnate. He raises up vessels that embody the reality of it with all of their being. And when these prophetic messengers in the natural become the living embodiment, meaning their whole life is about the truth that's in these messages, the sweet and the bitter part of it. They are standing with the Lord utterly in it. There is an anointing upon them as their spirits and lives live in unity with God's heart with this. And they become a very burning oracle. They become a very necessary part of God's, in God's economy of releasing it. It's not, this is a massive thing in verse 11 when he says, it must be prophesied. The Lord is in essence saying, if my people don't lay hands on the sick, more times than not, those that I will heal, I won't heal till they lay hands on them. If my people don't speak the Word, more times than not, the people will not hear and get saved. There's always that time where the guy wakes up out of a nap, an unbeliever, and he just healed, you know, and he doesn't even know how he was healed. There's those sovereign break-ins there's the guy that has a dream and he just wakes up and he gets saved on his own. I mean there's always those one-off experiences, but certainly the vast majority of the release of God's power and purpose is always through vessels on the earth who embody the reality of it with all of their lives. And I would go as far to say that the most difficult challenge in the kingdom of God is finding the messengers who thoroughly embody the message. Now many can speak it. We can speak it just by hearing someone else speak it, and there's a little bit of anointing on it. There's an enough anointing on the Word that if we pray for enough sick people just in our total carnality, there's an enough anointing on the Word, and there's enough anointing on God's compassion for the sick, even in total carnality the sick are gonna still get healed a little bit. In our total carnality, just because there's anointing on the Word and there's anointing on God's desire to win the lost, we can speak and people are gonna get saved, but there's another realm when the messengers are so one with the message in the heart of God, a whole nother realm of power is released in that reality. And I believe the greatest challenge in the kingdom of God is raising up these messengers that are in full unity with the message, which is the synonymous with being in full unity with the heart of God. I said the other week, it's a statement I've heard over the years, you can anoint a king in one day, but it takes a lifetime to raise up a deliverer. You can, a president can be chosen in a day, and history shows sometimes there's a surprising turn of events, and the new guy's president, and people go, how did that happen? A king can be anointed in one day, but a deliverer truly takes a lifetime to raise up. And there's something in the heart of God that says, I'm only gonna do in fullness when I have representatives, humans on the earth who are embodying the fullness, and I will release it through them. I'll always release the overflow through my people, but there is a dimension of fullness that requires a corresponding fullness of response from his people that's unusual, that's radical, that's wholly other than the common way even among God's people. And he looks at John, and he said, John, you must prophesy. The operative word there is the word must. He said, in essence, this thing will not go forward until proclaimed by vessels hot with the reality of it in their lives. Okay, let's look at the notes. For those that are taking the class, I have the notes with them, and of course they have the assignments that go along with the notes, and then we have the question and answer time afterwards as well in the other room. Okay, the end-time messengers, the seven thunders, prophets. I believe this chapter is one of the most important chapters to my life personally, and I believe this is one of the most important chapters in the Word of God to this ministry, because the Lord is challenging us with this, and he's challenging groups all over the earth. When you think you're one of the few, God says, I have 7,000 groups in the earth I'm doing this with. Then that's real. The Lord has 7,000. He told Elijah that heaven bowed the knee. The Lord might say today, I have 7,000 groups all over the earth that I'm working, I'm inviting to enter into this kind of reality. But I know this, I know we're one of them. I know that our entire ministry is not only about this, but I know that this is the highest mandate of this ministry here is Revelation chapter 10. The highest, not the only, but the highest mandate on this prayer furnace is to be a greenhouse for which these prophetic messengers can be like tender shoots that grow and develop. And these tender shoots, they don't develop into fullness in one year or five or ten. These messengers, they can learn the message at the mental level, but it takes time for a spirit to get hot and to be in full unity with truth. We call them forerunners. They're going just one brief step ahead of what the Holy Spirit's doing, and the Holy Spirit tips them off to some of the things that he's going to be focusing on in the season just ahead. Forerunners are beginning to live in now what the Holy Spirit is going to focus on just a little bit down the road, in a few minutes. Could be a decade or two. In just a few minutes. It's what whatever the Holy Spirit's going to be focused on in a few minutes, and I'm in a decade or two, that's what forerunners are giving themselves to now. Revelation chapter 10 verse 1 to 11 verse 14 is a parenthetical section. Revelation 10 and 11 is a parentheses. And what's going to happen right after this parentheses? In chapter 11 verse 14 and 15, well actually verse 14 on to verse 19, what's going to happen is that the seventh trumpet is going to sound. Well that's exciting. What does that mean? The seventh trumpet sounds, it looses the completion of the wrath of God. When the seventh trumpet sounds, literally, the seven bowls of wrath will be poured out on the earth in rapid succession. And so there's a particular time frame in verse 7 called, when the angel of the seventh trumpet is about to sound. There's this time frame that involves the the moment he sounds and the season just preceding the sounding. When he's about to sound, even before it's actually been released. When the angel is about to sound and the bowls of wrath are about to release. In other words, the fullness of God's the negative things about to crash down. God is going to bring to completion his plan. He's going to bring to completion his plan in that season. Things are going to be coming to a full boil at that time. And related to this seventh trumpet sounding, God is raising up messengers in whom he will impart the message of the seven thunders. One guy says, does each forerunner receive understanding of all seven thunders? I don't know. I don't care. You get what you get and you run with it. You know, we don't have to know those kinds of things. I've been asked that a couple times. How many messengers will it be and will each messenger get all seven? I go, I don't have a clue and I don't even care. I just want to, I want to be in the place where whatever God wants to tell me related to this in my own personal life, that I want to be in a place of receptivity and full agreement as a lifestyle to give expression to these realities to whatever degree he gives them to me. In A here, I talk about the parenthetical section of Revelation 10 and 11. It's basically the Lord's preparing his church to receive. I mean, to, uh, he's preparing the church for the outpouring of the wrath of God, which is going to break out across the earth. So this is a very important parentheses. The Lord saying the fullness of wrath is going to be released with the seventh trumpet, but I'm going to get messengers with clarity and authority in place before this all comes to completion. That's the idea of this passage. God's going to raise up these messengers. That's the message of Revelation 10 and 11. Now, of course, Revelation 11 is the two special witnesses. They are prophets with a double portion. Yay, prophets with a triple portion. I don't know. There are prophets way out there, but the prophets of chapter 10, or better yet, I'd rather say even the messengers with a prophetic anointing, these messengers will be carrying the message of the seven thunders. Then the, and, and then the prophets of chapter 11 will come and bring the thing up a whole nother level. The point is Revelation 10 and 11, I am going to raise up messengers to make sense of things in the hour that the great wrath has poured out. I'm not going to leave my people without a witness and without clarity as to what I'm doing in the earth. So he's about raising up messengers chapter 10 and 11. Again, chapter 11 is the very specific ones. We're not so concerned about them. We're encouraged by the reality that they're coming. We're encouraged that God is about giving this kind of clarity, this kind of prophetic witness. That, that totally encourages us because if he's going to give the measure of chapter 11, we know he's going to give a still a great measure in chapter 10. We know he's about the business of releasing prophetic revelation. Things are not going to go on business as usual like they're going on now. Suddenly there's going to be a whole nother level of revelation. The messengers are going to receive and then they're going to speak and it's going to shift things in the spirit and in nations. But right now the Lord is getting those messengers prepared. It's not an idea that we just kind of go on business as usual. Suddenly an angel visits us and we're all equipped. It doesn't work that way and that's the message later on in this chapter. Remember verse 8 to 11. He tells John you have to eat the book. You have to completely assimilate this thing ahead of time and that's the urgency of the hour. That's the urgency of the hour. Look at C in our outline. There's three parts to Revelation 10. Revelation 10 verse 1 to 4. It's the it's giving us the information. Revelation 10 1 to 4. We have the information that the seven prophetic messages do exist. That's the essence of verse 1 to 4. The seven prophetic messages do exist and God is willing and desiring to release them in the end times. This is a powerful piece of information that God's saying I have information that has power on it that does exist that I would not let John or Daniel release because it's going to be released by angels in the final hour of natural history. So we're encouraged on in a general sense. We're encouraged yes there's going to be very powerful information that's going to help us in this great hour of glory and this hour of great crisis. There is information God is going to bring such clarity. That's what he's telling us in chapter 10. That's the general encouragement but then there's another challenge. What if the Lord wants you to be one of the vessels that communicate some of this? So you go oh it's becoming it's more personal then. So I'm encouraged as a member of the body of Christ in this generation that there are seven prophetic messages. There is a level of clarity. The book of Revelation has has a certain amount of a you know the whole way it's written. It is understandable but there's going to be a clarity that is unmistakable and that is encouraging. That's the first part of chapter 10 verse 1 to 4. The second part of chapter 10 verse 5 to 7 God says I want to promise you this I swear with an oath or the angel did the swearing with an oath but is reflecting God the Father's determination. He says I want there's two parts of verse 5 to 7. He says I want you to know this the the mystery of God is going to come to full victory. It will be complete. God says through the angels oath God is speaking his zeal and determination. He's saying this. Of course we have plenty of Bible verses outside of Revelation 10 that confirm this. The angel is saying I promise you it will come to completion in chapter 15 verse 2 uses the word victory. It's going to come to victory. When God's plan comes to completion that's synonymous with victory. But there's another dimension that he's referring to here in verse 5 to 7. It's not only going to just come to completion. It's going to come to completion but the uttering the speaking the proclaiming of the seven prophetic messages will actually have a role in bringing the plan of God to victory and completion. They are going to utter their voices and when they utter their voices in the days of the sounding of the seven angels I mean of the seventh angel the seventh angel the mystery of God is going to come to completion is the idea of this book I mean of this chapter. Then the third part of Revelation chapter 10 verse 8 to 11 is that the messengers must be uniquely prepared for the release of the Oracle. They must be uniquely prepared. They must eat the contents of this book. They must feed their spirits upon the truths of which these utterances are going to flow out of. They must eat the book and they must release the prophetic Oracle. Say oh I'd love to release the prophetic Oracle. Well the prophets in the days of old when the Lord said speak it they said things like do we have to now? Because it was always massively massively politically incorrect. There is nothing more politically incorrect in the book of Revelation and I got a feeling these seven thunders are gonna have oh my goodness I can't even imagine you know I've asked I've asked the Lord I don't know that I have the answer but I've asked the Lord like why why are you holding these back and one thought I get I'm not claiming it's an answer but you know sometimes you get a thought and sometimes the Lord's in it you don't always know so but here's I've jotted it down a few thoughts why why is this thing being withheld and the first idea that that I think is that if the information was known ahead of time people would act on it out of time you know it's like the pregnant woman she's four months pregnant and she's trying to have the baby right now that's there's problems it's good that she's pregnant it's good the baby's coming but if she's trying to have the right thing at the wrong time things are out of order and I think that the part of the reason he held it back as he's saying I mean he's not saying but I I think is that this information would create emotional responses and action that would be out of the will of God if people knew it all through history they would have been about doing things that would have brought the body of Christ to a different conclusion a different place in this hour of history that would have been the wrong one so I believe the information Lord says I didn't want it given because it would have been acted on wrongly secondly I think and I that the Lord might be saying something like another reason is that the weight of it is so serious that if I gave it to you in my word you would then be responsible for it and you don't have the caliber right now to be responsible for it you don't have the wherewithal to stand boldly for what I'm gonna tell you in that day so you know what I'm gonna do I'm not going to tell you and there's no accountability because if I put it in my words you are responsible for it so I believe there was certain consequences that would be set into motion but I believe there's a certain accountability and the Lord's might be saying I don't want that on you right now yeah I got a other smaller reasons that are of lesser import than that but I'm not real sure why he hid it but one thing you can be sure the very fact that John was shown this book reveals the knowability of this book to us the very fact that John that John saw it the very fact that John saw this book the Lord was just like Daniel Daniel saw three times in the book of Daniel he saw the end time events certain certain dimensions of the end times and the angel said you can't tell nobody these and undoubtedly Daniel was a little bit probably startled a little bit like John was like we can't tell them why did you tell us then if we can't tell what was the point of telling us and the answer might be something like I want my people in the end times to know that I have a intentional I have information that I intentionally have held for the end times and I've even documented it in my word that I would have it for them in the end times so I believe that the fact that the Daniel saw it and it was sealed and and John saw it and still it creates in us the certainty of the knowability that there is this information that God's going to give now we're not gonna get it through you know just well I mean we're gonna give ourselves to study but it's gonna be given supernaturally to us but in the context of an abandonment before God it's gonna give it to us in that context okay it talks about in verse 1 a mighty angel chapter 10 verse 1 there's a mighty angel now we find that there's three mighty angels in the book of Revelation there's another mighty angel in chapter 5 verse 2 and 18 verse 1 and 2 there's another there are three mighty angels Revelation 5 2 and then Revelation 18 verse 1 and 2 are the other angels like this now all angels are mighty undoubtedly let's go to page 2 all angels are mighty but these are mighty in comparison they have another dimension of glory and power about their personhood and they have a very distinct roles in the book of Revelation these three mighty angels do but it's not an accident that it's one of these three mighty angels that God has chosen to communicate to the end time church through John that there are these thunderous prophetic messages yet to be revealed it's kind of you know just get the sense of it maybe there was a really kind of main angel up in heaven and saying okay I'm gonna go tell John this and Jesus of course I'm making this up says something like no no you're you're like I really like you and you're one of my main guys but no I want an angel of a higher rank and a higher authority to attend this message to John and to the end time church because I want to make a statement by the messenger I send because it's a it's a principle in the natural as well as in the spirit that the messenger that is sent is part of the message the messenger that is sent is part of the message being sent the messenger the dignitary is commensurate it's proportionate to the weightiness of the message being sent you know when the president of the United States sends an aid over to a foreign country they go well you know that's cool I guess when the angel when that when the president sends a dignitary of a higher status they go whoa if the president sends the vice president or the main whoever they take it more serious if the president goes himself it's a complete another it's a complete different message being sent so this angel the very the seven descriptions of this angel give us insight into the glory and the weightiness in the nature of the message being sent because the glory that's on this angel gives us understanding of the weightiness of what the message is about but it also lets us know some of what the messengers will walk in to some degree the glory on the angel gives insight into what the messengers will walk into what some of the reality the messengers will walk into so let's look at these seven things it says verse 1 to 3 the seven things number one it's a mighty angel it's an angel with power when this mighty angel comes again undoubtedly in the end to the end time messengers there will be a power demonstration that is there will be a power manifestation upon these messengers these messengers will walk in power of course the greatest the the highest messengers of the end times of Revelation 11 and they have the highest power but there is a might from God that will be upon these messengers there will be an in doing with power from on high that is be above and beyond the norm of church history far be above beyond even what happened in the book of Acts the mighty angel not only will tell us the message is mighty but the mighty angel will be giving a signal there is power for those operating in this room of this message it's number one number two the message the angel was clothed with a cloud now this was the Shekinah glory cloud in Exodus 19 and Exodus 24 well there's many places in the Bible the glory cloud appeared this angel has the glory cloud resting on him it's his garment the glue the Shekinah glory is on him beloved we're gonna the end time church is gonna be functioning in a realm of authority and reality I mean the revelation is here but there it's gonna be revelation that releases the Shekinah glory of God I have heard a number of examples I mean not so many but maybe ten through the years of men or women who in the midst of their meetings the one-off example I mean it's a very rare I heard a number of testimonies of and an eyewitness accounts where the Shekinah glory cloud appeared in the room the cloud that's on that angel is gonna be on those messengers that doesn't mean they're gonna have it as a garment but it's gonna be attending the proclamation of their words not not every time but I am sure that the message is part communicated by this messenger the angel I'm looking forward to the day when we're in the stadiums and the prophets of God are prophesying these messengers many of them will be singers some will be writers some will be preachers though it'll be communicated in different ways at different levels some will be one-on- three messengers of various levels and the glory cloud that's on this angel will be on these messengers I look forward to the day when we're in the stadiums and the glory is seen by everyone a hundred thousand people in the stadium they go that can't be possible absolutely in Exodus chapter 19 three million Israelites fresh out of Egypt saw the glory cloud the entire mountain was on fire and trembling this is Old Covenant Christianity if you will well number three the angel is gonna have a rainbow there's gonna be the message of tender mercy the rainbow always speaks of God's covenant faithfulness his tenderness because see God gives his covenant he says I promise you I will do what I say but it's more than I promise you and I promise you that if you will cry out to me I will make a way for you to be involved even in your weakness I will give you tender mercy that if you blow it you push delete and you rise up and you press in with confidence I will be with you again the message even of the seven thunders will have the rainbow dimension on it at the very center of this message the on-ramp for human beings is the message of the rainbow the covenant-keeping God the God who looks down in mercy and says you know what I'm gonna make a way for you now that's if you want to enter in on God's terms see some people say I really want to enter in but I want to live in sin I don't I want to enter in and not walk with God there is no entering in that's we enter in on God's term I want to enter in my weakness is crushing me but I love you I want you the Lord says I have a way for you to enter in that's the rainbow so no matter how much we thunder we will always we will always have the dimension of the rainbow because this angel comes with the rainbow saying I'm gonna release I'm gonna cry out and release the seven thunder messages and as you release them to John in the days of old I have no doubt that the angelic activity whether it's this angel or someone else I don't know I don't care I don't mind I don't even not even interested in those kind of details I just know that there will be angelic activity that will loose this into existence in the realm of the church and these angels will be champions of the mercy of God well the angels gonna have his face shining like the Sun and the shining of the Sun speaks of the Spirit of Revelation 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 verse 6 that God's the knowledge of God shown in the face of Jesus bright like the Sun like the light the shining of the Sun speaks of the knowledge of God of the beauty and of the revelation of God's being there will be the element of being fascinated with the beautiful God the majestic God we will tremble in that awesome way where our spirits will be alive before him because the message of this angel gives will bring us to the glory and the majesty and the beauty of the one of whom we're speaking on his behalf this thing is so it's balanced in the biblical way balance normally means something other than what the Bible means by it being balanced but I'm not gonna go there number five here in the notes this angel has feet like pillars of fire there will be a beckoning into holiness fire is holiness but fire is also the judgment that is necessary when holiness is refused the fire of God in in the pill the feet like pillars of fire is speaking of God's stance he's unmovable he will not change his requirements to have communion with him there is no way we will be friends with the world and deep in God it's not possible in our weakness he will make a way for us if in our spirit we cry yes and the yeses I mean it's the real yes it's not a I'm not talking about the kind of thing where the guys just trying to go out and just live out in the flesh is live in sin and then just kind of push the lead on Sunday morning a half hour before the meeting goes right back I'm talking about people in their genuine weakness they are crying out to be wholly consumed for God there is no end of mercy for the people for the Lord to give us a second chance a thousand times in a row if you want him you have him but know this the angel that represents this message and embodies that and the messengers will have will it will represent the Pete the feet like pillars of fire there is a necessary judgment that is necessary for holiness to be established in the earth he will set his feet upon the sea and the land oh that's fantastic that's God's sovereignty in the Bible it's many places when Abraham when Joshua when Moses when several others when they walked on the land God said walk on the land put your feet on the land wherever you walk was what your inheritance you in matter of fact they were commanded to put their feet on the land in order to get the inheritance and the Lord is saying that I'm going to get my inheritance in the planet this is about me fighting in power for my inheritance to be released to my son the full inheritance of God which speaks of his sovereignty is going to be released so there's a note of victory and triumph there's a confidence in sovereignty there's a confidence in sovereignty here it's interesting I have in the notes here then in Revelation 13 the same section here this large parentheses revolution 13 that the Antichrist is called the beast who comes out of the sea and the false prophet is called the beast that comes out of the land there's a counterfeit dimension of Satan want to take the land in the sea which is the Dominion of the earth this angel stands firmly on both places it says I represent the God and the proclamation of his sovereignty will be fully manifest before this is over and that is three times in this chapter that is the greatest emphasis of the chapter is sovereignty it's repeated over and over in each of the three sections the angel with his hands his feet on the land and the sea is in each of the three separate sections of this chapter sovereignty is the resounding note in this book in this chapter leaning on sovereignty covered confidence in his son sovereignty the seventh one he cries out with a loud voice like the roar of a lion there's gonna be a terrifying element the lion roars right before he destroys his prey there will be an element it will be terrifying as well now beloved this has got every emotion imaginable number one the mighty angel there's gonna be a breakthrough anointing number two he's clothed in a cloud there's gonna be an experience an encounter of the glory this kind of glory the holy other than realm is going to be all over the end time church we're gonna have confidence in love there's tender mercy throughout the entire message is tender mercy we're gonna be fascinated with beauty his face will be like the Sun we're gonna be sobered by the feet of fire he will not change his standard like like bronze feet it says in the other passage unmovable he will not change his standards he's inflexible in terms of changing the standard because his standard is his character he says my mercy must be producing a greater response in the heart where my mercy is being taken in vain a mercy that doesn't produce a longing for holiness is not the true mercy of God a longing for true holiness must encounter mercy day after day after day but it also must be fascinated by beauty and it must lean on sovereignty but beloved there's going to be the roar of a lion the lion's roar is coming and these in time messengers will they will have the authority of God in their spirit they will roar they will thunder not only will the revelation cause a thunder in their own spirit the revelation will cause a thunder in those that here in their spirits but more than that it will cause a thunder in the realm of the spirit angels and demons will move and there will be a thunder in history it will change the destiny of nations when these prophetic oracles utter their words with a life fully a part of this thing these are the forerunners at the end of the age well I think we're just gonna end with that we got more to go but that's good enough for now let's stand father we want to give ourself to you Lord we want to be messengers Lord we want to eat the book we want to go deep in God we want to give ourselves to you with depth we want to receive the thunder and we want to be a vehicle of the thunder we want to support those that are doing it and we want to do it ourselves at whatever measure you call us it's just come before the Lord I'm with these seven issues in my own life I want to move in power I want to touch the glory I want to be lost in mercy I want to be sobered and excited by holiness I want to be terrified by his in time purposes the roar of the lion I want to lean and rest in sovereignty beloved superficial Christianity is the Christianity that's common in the West is that it's none of this we're gonna go after this together in the Lord the body of Christ
