In this sermon, the speaker emphasizes the urgency of the Holy Spirit's work in the world today. They highlight the acceleration of sin and ungodliness, with blasphemy against Jesus becoming more prevalent. Despite these challenges, the speaker reminds the audience of their privileged position as believers, having the opportunity to know and hear the voice of God. They emphasize the importance of not drawing back but fully embracing the price Jesus paid for believers to share in his throne. The sermon concludes with a call to learn to say "amen" to God's will, just as the worship in heaven is filled with adoration and affirmation of God's glory.
Sermon Transcription
The place of Holy Solemnity is to touch every carnal desire. Co-operate with the Holy Servant of our God, who is working with in and without to adore... Just everybody forget everybody else is here. And you just center in on Jesus. And just be taken up with Him. Eat of Him. Drink of Him. Know no man save Jesus only. And let Him just fill all of your faculties with the precious Holy Ghost. Fill all of your members, every member of your body, every power of your soul, every part of your being with this precious Holy Spirit who's come to take us over and to work in us the will of God for the glory of God. Of all peoples on the face of the earth, we are the most privileged. We are to know this glorious truth. To know the way. To hear the voice of God talking to us down inside of us. And to be in the hands of God, dealing with us, breaking us, melting us, molding us, conforming us to the will of God. The will of God. This wonderful Son, Jesus. Jesus. As our sister prayed, God forbid that anybody should draw back. When we consider the price that Jesus paid to make it possible for us to share the throne with Him, when we consider the price that He paid for this, how can anybody say Him nay? On any line, any part of our life, in any way whatsoever, how could we? How could we? And as our sister was leading the singing and everybody was following, I thought, this crowd around the throne of God, just need somebody to lead, Jim, you'll do it. You'll do it. You just need somebody to tell you what to say, you'll say it, won't you? Around that throne. Just think of the privilege. And that's going to be soon. That's going to be soon. And this is the reason the Holy Spirit is so urgent today. He's dealing with those who will pay the price and go on. Because the time is so short and there's so much to do in us, that He is just finishing it up as fast as He can. Everything out there in the world today is being accelerated. Sin is being accelerated in every way. The sinner is getting more sinful. The ungodly are getting more ungodly. The blasphemy against Jesus today is just awful. On television and even in the classrooms, our children come from school and they say, my teacher uses the name of Jesus in vain and says there is no God. So anything goes. The blasphemy of His name is terrible. But I want to tell you something, honey. The godly are becoming more godly. The righteous are becoming more righteous. More righteous. And as we get nearer the coming of the Lord, there's going to be a wider line of demarcation between those who are going to pay the price and all out for Jesus Christ to go through with Him. And you cannot follow the crowd. You can't follow the crowd. You can't. You know, He says leave father, mother, sister, brother, and sometimes it's spiritual mother and father. Sometimes it's those who have led you on so far that sometimes you have to leave them and go on and go on. Yes. And we will worship Him, Jesus, this morning. You know, I'll tell you how important it is that we take our lessons down here and we use the Holy Spirit to let Him do anything, let Him do through us anything He wants to do. Because one of these days the dear Spirit will touch you and it will be for transgression. It will. And we don't want this thing of resistance and questioning, is it His will? Is it, am I in the Spirit or am I in the flesh? And is this God or isn't this God? We'd better learn God. We'd better learn God. My sheep know my voice, He says. Oh, honey, be quick and sensitive to every touch of the Spirit because one of these days, in a moment, the twinkling of an eye will all be over and they that are ready, ready, ready, ready, they that are ready, ready, ready, ready, and the door will close. God, my angel in the mouth of the Lord, say, I was beg of thee, I was beg of thee, because this is the time of my life. Oh, I was beg of thee, This is how important it has been to us. It's like when the four beasts, when the four beasts said, I'm in the four and twenty, and then that multitude that no man could number, they said, I'm with one divine, there's more. Then the four and twenty elders said, Amen. The multitude that no man could number, then they said, I'm with one divine. The four and twenty elders said, No. The multitude that no man could number, then they said, No. With one divine, there's more. Honor. Blessing. Vengeance. Be unto. Me. And unto. We. To perpetuate. The bride knows more about the bridegroom than any other company in heaven. This is why she's going to lead the worship in heaven. She knows, she knows the bridegroom better than the angels, better than the seraphims, better than the archangels. They are created creatures, but she's redeemed. She's redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, the blood of the Lamb, redeemed once, redeemed once. After these things, I heard a great voice of much people in heaven saying, The 19th chapter of Revelation, you turn with me, and then you can follow along. Just forget each other now. Don't start talking. Just forget each other. Just stay in God. Just stay, stay in God. And after these things, I heard a great voice of much people in heaven saying, let's say it, How true and easy. You know, why? Listen, listen. Why are these the words the bride is using? Why does she say glory? Because these are all the things that Jesus laid aside and was stripped of and left behind when he came to pay that awful price of redemption for us. And now he has paid that price. He died on Calvary. He's pulled out his soul and yielded up his life and his body is crucified and he's been to hell for us. And now he is ascended back to the Father and seated upon the throne and the bride and the 40 and 20 elders no man can number won't get daddy sick won't go on beyond death. And the 12 and 20 elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God in the fourth verse. The four and 20 elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne saying, Oh, you have to learn to say Amen. God help us to learn In the worship in heaven there are five different groups worshipping and adoring before the throne and I can't tell you how many times that group says it but they all say Amen. We have to learn to say Amen down here so we can really say it over there over there. Amen, Amen This is Amen to his will All the bride has on his will We have to say it down here but we won't be able to say it up there We won't be in that crowd in that company We can't We can't teach others to say something until we have learned the school ourselves until we've had that voice lesson until every part of our being every part of human nature bows and breaks and bends and is committed renounces, denounces steals from me those choices that are mine in the Lord Jesus Christ anything that would dim anything that would improve into time that belongs to him We must be careful with our time We must be careful with opportunities We have to be careful with relatives and friends all those who would steal precious times that belong to him We're learning our lessons We have to learn to say Amen to his will to his ways Amen to the cross that he lays upon our life Amen There would crucify There would strip it off There would slough it off There would release us Loose us Freak us out to them they call me Break Dismantle Disintegrate Every hesitation and fear of yielding to him and doing his will and his way and making our preparations for his presence We have to learn to say sacred will Amen to the cross that he lays upon our life Amen to the holiness that he wants to bring forth in our life Amen to every characteristic quality that he's trying to develop in our lives to his righteousness to his law to the law of God to the law every fiber of our being say Amen to his word to his word as I read it and let the Holy Ghost write it on the warp and woof of our being write it on every part of life and living our activities our activities and let him be in dominion in all of our conduct all of our conduct we have to learn to say Amen let him be in dominion in all of our activities he'll cross out he'll crucify a lot of things that we've been taken up with that we had to have that we couldn't live without but it's not in the will of God for us others may but we cannot it's not in the will of God for us it's not in his program for us it's not in his plan so we learn to say we have to learn to say that Amen here and it was this group this group that fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne saying Amen and then they said Hallelujah nobody can say Hallelujah until we have learned first to say Amen when we have said Amen to his word and given his heart that obedience that he gave the Father obedience was written over every part of his life until he's very coming with an obedience to the Father's will every step of his life Father I delight to do thy will oh my God he had learned to say Amen he had learned that we have to learn to say Amen before we can say Hallelujah Hallelujah and a voice came out of the throne saying Hallelujah all ye his servants ye that fear him both small and great and I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude and as the voice of many waters and as the voice of mighty thundering saying Hallelujah for the Lord God omnipotent reigns let us be glad to meet you and give honor to you and his wife does it mean to be ready what would it mean to be ready to be married to the Lamb what would it mean to be ready to be married to the Lamb the Lamb the Lamb not the king of kings not the wonderful counselor not the mighty God not the everlasting the Lamb is the name of this bridegroom Lamb is his redemptive name oh why why does he choose this name as the name of the bridegroom it's his redemptive name and honey when I think of why why he chooses this name the name of the Lamb the name of the Lamb for his bridegroom name it was because of his marvelous redemption and all that he caused and the possibilities wrapped up in his redemption and his listen his bride will be that company that will reveal and in whom will be manifested and in whom will show forth the beauty, the grace, the completeness the perfection, the power of his holy redemptive works it's going to be brought out in her and in the first chapter of Ephesians tells us he's going to put her on display throughout the whole universe and this is the company in whom he sees the travail of his soul and is satisfied his redemption is perfect and complete in her oh, oh honey, oh oh, oh, oh that marvelous son of God that marvelous redeemer but I want to tell you the bride of the Lamb is at his feet slain, he's a slain Lamb she's a slain bride pride, pride canceled out that old self-ego thing canceled out canceled out, crucified she's a crucified bride she's a slain, slain bride utterly, utterly reduced to nothing but raised up one through whom he will show to the universe his glory throughout the countless ages to come oh my dear, you and I are called to something tremendous in God he's the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world when he, this is his name when he came John, John didn't introduce him to the world as the Lord God omnipotent reigneth but John introduced him as the Lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world that little Lamb that was born in Bethlehem's manger we're coming up to the Christmas season and don't anybody try to fight with that innkeeper because there was no room in the inn that was the most impossible place for the Lamb of God to come Lambs aren't born in hotels Lambs are born in stables they're born in stables, yes and that old crazy inn of course there was no room there was no room in that place among all that drinking, carousing, sexy crowd there was no room there that was no fit place for the sweet, pure, holy, spotless Lamb of God without spot and without blemish he didn't belong in that inn and in that hotel Lambs are born in stables and that's where he came because that's where we were this is the end of side one please stop your machine and turn the cassette tape to side two for the continuation of the program nature in the stable of human nature to take that stable and turn it into a temple temple dwelling place for the glory of God the holiest of all the Shekinah glory the place of worship and adoration so Jesus said to me Jesus said to me when you were in Israel this time now you didn't go to a stable but when you go to the place where Jesus was born they take you to a temple now that stable has been turned into a temple the stable of your human nature is now the temple of the Lord isn't it? your stable is turned into a temple for the glory of God to rest there place of worship and adoration to the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world that little Lamb little Lamb without blemish without blemish without blemish He didn't have claws Lambs don't have claws Lambs don't have you never heard of a Lamb biting anybody they don't fight with their teeth they don't have horns and all these things that human nature out of God has and carnality has has teeth that chew you up and claws that tear and horns that gore all of that awful He's a Lamb of God without spot and without a grain and dissected and proven in every way whatsoever in that burnt offering in the burnt offering they would take that bullock or lamb or whatever they was offering and just cut it all to pieces just cut it all to pieces and examine every part examine the head examine the head the thinking the memory the unforgiving thoughts and all of that whole realm in the head in the thinking just tear it open and open it up for God to see it and examine it and those limbs were just cut off and it's even the insides it says just lay it open lay it open just lay it open to be examined in every part examine these legs examine all of the insides every organ examine them and lay it open before God it must be a Lamb without blemish and He passed every test every test and was offered back to God a burnt offering for us then He could become our sin offering and make an atonement for us so so this He said the bride of the Lamb the marriage the marriage of this perfect one this Lamb and this Lamb is going to be united with the Lamb nature it's the marriage of the Lamb Lamb doesn't marry a fox Lamb doesn't marry and I'm not going into anything light here and making comparison it has to be the Lamb nature that He's going to be united with now I want you to notice that it's a union of natures it isn't just two people getting married but the marriage of the Lamb is a union it's a marriage of natures the humility in Jesus the Lamb will be united with the humility in His bride and there can be a perfect union here because it's all His humility the humility of the bride is His humility so there's perfect compatibility and there has to be His nature has to be worked out in us or there can be no union there's nothing to be united this is not just a union of two bodies this isn't just a union of two people but it's characteristic qualities honey this is why we must let Him work out obedience in us and then the obedience in our nature can be married, wedded, united with the obedience in the Lamb and there's perfect compatibility there no problem we can be united with this Lamb but if we don't know obedience and have never yielded to obey the Lamb then there is no characteristic quality in us to be united to anything that's in Him you see how impossible that is for us to be in that company unless there's something of Him in us to be united with Him this is why He constantly asks for those characteristic qualities faithfulness He was the faithful and true witness of His Father and so He tries to work out faithfulness in us faithfulness in your Sunday school class faithfulness as a mother faithfulness as a wife if we overcome in little things He'll make us smoother in the big things but He deals with us who we are and where we live and works out these characteristic qualities in us humility and obedience and faithfulness and meekness meekness this is one of the first things He deals with in us it's in His first invitation come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden I'll give you rest take my yoke upon you and learn me I'm meek and when, oh, when He laid that on my heart meekness meekness oh, just before He was dealing with me about meekness He let somebody give me something priceless a handkerchief that is made of cobweb linen cobweb linen is the finest linen that's made it's just like cobwebs cobwebs there are linens and linens but the bride of Christ is clothed with fine linen pure and white well, when the Lord was talking to me about that we had an old cocoa mat you know those old mats that you wipe your feet on outside the door that's made from fibers of coconut and then woven into ropes now you compare a rope of those old fiber mats with cobwebs cobwebs and He made me feel that as far as meekness was concerned I was like that old cocoa mat but His nature was like this fine cobweb linen and I know what that is because you let that woman give me this handkerchief the finest linen made you pay twelve hundred dollars a yard for this kind of linen twelve hundred dollars the finest linen they have learned how to spin and that's His fine nature and I saw myself like these old ropes and that old cocoa mat outside the door and I cried, I sobbed I hated myself I hated this how can I get rid of this how can I get rid of this thing and He kept saying I am meek this is the fine quality of meekness I am meekness but human nature out of God is like that old cocoa mat and He takes us in those sacred nail pierced hands and begins to work on us and refine us and change us and change us and reduce us reduce us honey don't despise the reduction don't despise the sifting don't despise the carding and the removal of those old comfort husks when He starts making His fine linen and His flax then I got interested in studying linen and reading upon it fifteen times it says it must be dragged through waters heated to temperatures 150 degrees fifteen times it has to be dragged through that and then laid on a stone and pounded with a mallet and on, on, on, on, on, on, on well, the lamb is His name that's His name do we want to bear His name? do we want to bear He has let us bear the name of Christian in all my meetings instead of them saying we're Christians I like to teach them to say we are Christian say that yes, we're Christians Christ indwelled Christ liveth in me we're Christians brings Him closer makes our relationship more real we have begun but we haven't yet attained attained meekness He's working on us to help us to be meek to learn meekness we have to learn submission this lamb was perfectly submitted He came to be sacrificed this was His purpose He came for this and kept that before Him He set His faith steadfastly to go to Jerusalem and He didn't allow His parents His disciples His relatives the Pharisees the rulers the Sadducees the religious crowd the temple He didn't allow anybody to take His gaze off of the purpose for which He came He came to be crucified and He went to the cross the lamb slain from the foundation of the world oh, the surrenders in His life oh, constantly surrenders you know, He hasn't He isn't through surrendering yet He isn't through yet He surrendered everything there was to surrender down here but the word tells us that when His bride is united to Him then He's going to offer her up to the Father make another surrender and God will become all and in awe and He is still the surrendered lamb the submissive lamb but identified with us identified He always will be What is the measure? How far have we developed? How far have we grown? How much of His likeness within us? Honey, meekness in us is that formation of bridal quality that will be united to the meekness in Him Yes, submission in us is that bridal capacity and formation in us that will be united to Him It's a union of natures and the nature is His nature There isn't one single thing in any of us that we can take to Him and offer to Him Not one single thing The only thing, as I said yesterday The only thing in us that will go and be united with Him is whatever Christ has been formed within us However we have grown and matured into His likeness into His image That and that only is what we will be over there Listen dear There is no blessing that you can receive that will bring forth a growth and a maturity into the likeness of Jesus Christ It doesn't come through blessing Now, I'll say just a few things here to help you I've had a number of babies in Christ come to me and they say Oh, Sister Hammond, I'm just growing so fast I'm just growing so fast And one of them came and I said Honey, would you tell me your secret? And she said Well, I just speak in tongues all the time Just all day long I just speak in tongues all the time And I'm just growing so fast Well, I just had to say Well, honey, I love you And Jesus loves you But that isn't the way we grow No, we don't grow just by speaking in other tongues You speak in tongues just as much as you want to And worship and adore the Lord But when it comes to the development of His likeness and image This is through trial, trial, trial Testing, heartache, heartbreak Do you see? We have to have our trials Do you see this? Do you see this? That we have to have our trials We have to have our crosses We have to have our crosses Oh, then when the cross is laid upon us The cross is for one purpose And that's for us to die on Yes, that's for us to die on Yes So we're going to embrace them with thanksgiving, aren't we? Huh? Yes Now, keep separated Keep separated I want you to remember this Keep separated The difference between a wedding and a marriage You are attending a wedding But the little bride will be given in marriage We are invited to the wedding This is the festivities But the little bride will be given in marriage And, you know, as I go around the country I never cease to be amazed At the things people get blessed over And shout over, and so on And they can just sing And just get blessed I've received an invitation To the marriage of the lamb And I'm going to be there And they just all get blessed And all they have is an invitation Now listen How many of you are married? How many here are married? All right, all right, put your hands down Now listen How many of you folks received an invitation to your wedding? All right, now listen Are you listening? All right, are you listening? If you had an invitation, you were not the bride All right, and then here's this crowd I have received an invitation I can't enthuse There are so many songs that people get blessed on And I can't enter in And I can't get enthused Well, but I know it's just because If they would stop and think I have an invitation I'd tear the thing up But one, one wins that bridegroom But there is so much today Taken up with the wedding So many of the songs They're all taken up with the wedding Going up, up, up, going up, up, up And then he gets blessed on a tune On a tune And this, don't If you ever invite me to your church If I beg of you, I beg of you Don't sing that hideous thing I'll fly away If that's the kind of songs you're going to sing You don't want me in your church That, to me, that's awful That's awful That's awful I had an experience recently with that thing All right, now let me tell you about it It's really, it's no laughing matter When I tell you what happened When I tell you what happened Here, up in the front of this auditorium Was these words He is worthy Great big letters He is worthy Clear across the front of the platform And when I walked in there and saw that I said, oh, isn't this wonderful Ah, they're making the lamb worthy Isn't this wonderful, wonderful And we, the meeting progressed And we sang all these lovely choruses He's Lord Now, that's a song That's a song But it's a different thing to make him Lord Yeah But after a while they turned the lights out And when they turned the lights out Of course that was blotted out He's worthy You couldn't see that anymore And then they turned on a lot of spotlights And brought out these flashy Hollywood performers And here they were in the spotlights And they started to sing this business I'll fly away You know, I want to tell you what the Lord said to me I want to tell you, as true as I'm here And you're there and God's in heaven God said to me, you see, they have blackened me out And have brought on their idols And this is idol worship This is idol worship We have to be careful There's a lot of Hollywood religion around today Yeah Hollywood However Well, I don't know anything about that So I'm not going to say anything about it The Lord said, just leave it alone And he'll judge when he comes In his day This is a time when the wheat and the tares are growing together Yes And he'll take care of it someday But let's be careful That we're not idol worshippers In this hour of the exultation of the human And they clapped and applauded and clapped and applauded And you know I thought I would die And that's just not a saying When Jesus said to me This is, they've brought on their idols And this is idol worship Well, I just want to blot out and forget that whole thing And just lead you on in this beautiful worship to the Lamb Honey, you're going back to your churches Has any of you gotten anything in this retreat That you can carry back in your churches That you can carry back there And you can say we want to worship the Lamb Away with threesomes and the spatial And we want to worship, we want to worship the Lamb And I'll tell you, when Jesus is worshiped Everything happens People get saved I've seen more people saved in an atmosphere of worship Than any other atmosphere I've seen more people receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost In an atmosphere of worship than any other atmosphere I was in a meeting a little while ago And worship fell on us Like he's been giving us beautiful worship here And in a time of pungent Like last night When he just completely takes us over And when that time of worship was over The pastor said, I think a number of people Received the baptism during this worship I said, ask them He said, how many received the baptism While we were worshiping God I'm telling you the truth Fourteen people raised their hands That they had received the baptism While we were worshiping In that atmosphere anything can happen And it does I told you yesterday It would scare me to death To put on a healing service But I tell you when he puts one on We were worshiping the Lord And a little woman stepped up to the pulpit And I went on and she said Sister Emma, I'm in such awful pain I'll have to leave the meeting Healed the pain of a man What we prayed for and God healed her And somebody else saw what was happening And they came and they were healed And the next one came and they were healed And the next one came and they were healed Terminal diseases, miracles One right after another Right down that line When he put on a service And this is how it happened This is how it happened I didn't pray for one of them He sent his word and healed The moment I laid my hands on these people God took over and the word Began to flow through me And I just quoted scripture after scripture After scripture that I didn't even know that I knew But they just whoo And all of a sudden this word, this word And as long as that word flowed People were healed And then it was over It was over And it's no use to go on Keep on praying, it's over It's over Don't you love it Don't you love it When he moves When he works The marriage This isn't the wedding This is the marriage Of the Lamb Has come And his bride Has made herself Ready Now you, you go back And meditate on that word What it would mean To be ready Paul says I am now ready To be offered Say that word again Ready To be united With the Lamb Shall we stand Just raise up your hands The ladies are waiting to set up the tables over there Let us stay in God With our visiting now And on the way home You know we can't talk all of this away And dissipate it On the way home in the car Just share with each other In the things of God What God is saying to you What he's doing for you What he's doing in you Just share with each other Stay in God Stay under the cloud Under the dews Of the precious Holy Spirit Thank the Lord for these who receive the baptism The rest of you folks can receive the baptism on the way home You can The marvelous things the Lord can do Now we're all Now hold steady everybody We want to give God thanks So we're all going to sing Don't you think we ought to sing Praise God from whom all blessings flow We just sing to him our thanks Everybody Let's lead us in prayer

Hattie Philletta Hammond (1907–1994). Born in 1907 in Williamsport, Maryland, Hattie Hammond was a prominent Pentecostal evangelist and Assemblies of God minister known for her powerful preaching and healing ministry. From childhood, she sensed a call to missions, preaching to dolls, animals, and herself in mirrors, and distributing tracts at school with dreams of serving in Africa. At 12, she survived a life-threatening bout of typhoid fever after her pastor anointed her with oil and prayed, marking a turning point in her faith. Saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit at 15 during a tent meeting led by Rev. John Ashcroft, she began boldly witnessing to classmates, dedicating herself to full-time ministry at 16. Her first sermon in Martinsburg, West Virginia, sparked a revival when she spontaneously preached from Galatians 3:1, leading to widespread conversions. Ordained by the Assemblies of God in 1927, she became known as “the girl evangelist,” preaching in major cities like Cleveland, Detroit, and Los Angeles, with her simple message of total consecration to God accompanied by reported miracles and healings. By the 1930s, she was a leading voice in Pentecostalism, ministering globally across 30 countries, speaking at colleges, conventions, and camp meetings. Hammond’s 71-year ministry left a lasting impact on evangelical spirituality, and she died in 1994. She said, “If you ever see Jesus, you’ll never be the same again.”
