The Holy Anger of Faith
Randy Jones

Randy Jones (NA - NA) Pastors Randy and Nancy Jones have answered God's call to lead a congregation of believers in the Dallas area - Christ Our Lord Church. Randy has been a minister for over 30 years - including pastoring, evangelizing, inner-city ministry, and teaching at Bible Colleges. Nancy is a missionaries' daughter, devoted mother and wife, successful business executive, and is wonderfully anointed and gifted to lead and teach ladies. The Lord Jesus began to burden Pastor Randy's heart concerning preparing His people for His soon return for His Bride. The Lord began to deal with him about greater personal holiness, prayer and consecration. Being led by the Holy Spirit, he began to preach anew, the fundamental truths of the Bible, with a strong End-Times emphasis. Repentance, the importance of the Blood of Jesus, the Cross, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, the fear of God, the Rapture, Biblical holiness, the spirit of prayer, the power of the Word, a burden for lost souls to be saved, and Jesus as the Beloved Son of the Heavenly Father - all took on a new meaning in the light of the nearness of Jesus' return for His Overcoming Church.

Sermon Transcription
This morning, I want to try to help you learn something that could possibly change your life. It's not really new, but it works. I was praying Wednesday night. We have a two-hour prayer meeting before church on Wednesday night. And a week ago Wednesday night, we had about 22 here eventually. And I was back in this hallway praying, praying about our church, praying about our future. And the Lord began to speak to me. That night I was teaching on from the Song of Solomon, Jesus is altogether lovely. And how that lovely Jesus in you is the hope of glory. And the promises that the Father made to Jesus, not about deity, but about protection, about salvation, all the things that he made to his son, those are ours because Jesus is living in us. And God cannot deny himself. And so because Jesus is in us, all those promises are for us. And I was thinking of the scripture, greater is he that's in you than he that's in the world. And as I was praying, the Lord just spoke something to my heart that changed my life. And I'm going to try to communicate it today. Would you pray with me, Father? I pray, Lord, that you would help us. God, we're living in the last of the last days, you know. Boy, I feel I'm the only person here praying. And that means it's going to be really tough to preach. That means I might have to preach three hours to break through. But if you pray, it won't be that long. Let's pray. Pray with me. Come on, Father. In the name of Jesus, we lift up our voices. Lord, we're not just doing church today. We didn't just come to sit in the pew. Lord, we came to be equipped and armed for battle. And Father, I pray, Lord, that you would help me deliver my soul. Right now, I come against every unclean spirit, every hindering spirit, every distracting spirit. By the blood of Jesus, I pray you would give us good and honest hearts. Give us ears to hear. Father, I pray in the name of Jesus, you would help me today. Holy Spirit, anoint me and help me and anoint everyone to hear. And everybody said, in Jesus' name, amen. God bless. You may be seated. Thank God for air conditioning. I'm going to read in the bulletin. And I usually have you read it with me. But in the essence of time, I'm going to go through it. Would you look at it and read it with me? And I'm going to try to tie these scriptures together by two or three principles. This is part five of the real faith, by the way, that I've been preaching the last five Sundays, counting today. I have fought a good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. The Lord is a warrior, literally in the Hebrew, a man of war. Yes, the Lord is his name, Yahweh. Be angry and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath. And when he had looked around about on them with anger, being greed for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, stretch forth thine hand and he stretched it out and his hand was restored whole as the other. Before the decree is issued or the day passes like chaff, before the Lord's fierce anger comes upon you, before the day of the Lord's anger comes upon you, when he had made a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple with the sheep and the oxen and poured out the changers money and overturned the tables. Praise him with loud cymbals. Praise him with clashing cymbals. Make it, excuse me, then they took an oath before the Lord with a loud voice, with shouting and trumpets and ram's horns. So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets and it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout. Then the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. About the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice saying, Eli, Eli, lama, sebectini, that is my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out saying, teacher, I implore you, look on my son, for he is my only child. Now I left out the last two verses in the bulletin for space, but I'm going to read them. And lo, a spirit taketh him, and he crieth out, and it teareth him, that he foameth again, and bruiseth him hardly departeth from him, and bruising him hardly departeth from him. And I besought thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generations, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here. And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father. They were all amazed at the majesty of God. Now when he had said these things, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. For five weeks, counting today, I've been talking about faith. I heard a hyper-faith teacher, by the way, Don and Corliss, it's good to have you guys back, suffering for the Lord on the beach. The first week I talked about how faith is the most fundamental thing in our lives. I heard a hyper-faith teacher teaching on television the other day, a few weeks ago, I guess, and he was talking about all the power is in the seed. Now if you've heard me preach in the last few weeks, you know that I don't believe faith is for Rolls Royces. Faith is to do things for God. God said, ask me and I'll give you the heathen for your inheritance. I believe God blesses you. Bible says, seek ye first the kingdom of God, his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you. That's a promise. But if you put money first, then that's a sin. But faith is very, very important. It's the most fundamental thing. Now this guy said, was talking about that faith, you put, not faith, you put the seed of the word in the soil, and the seed has all the power in it, and it draws the nutrients, and it draws everything out of the soil. And he had a long lesson about all the power is in the word of God. You just put it somewhere, and it'll draw the seeds, and the nutrients, and it will grow. And it was a really good lesson, except for one thing, it was completely unscriptural. Jesus talked a whole lot about the condition of the soil. That's our heart. In fact, Jesus said, the one that produced fruit was a good and honest heart. And the condition of the soil is just as important as the word that's sown in the soil. You ask any farmer. One farmer was standing in his front yard looking at something, and a guy stopped on the highway, and he said, wow, that's a beautiful farm God's given you. It's gorgeous. And he told the man, he said, well, thank you, but you should have seen when God had it all to himself. It took a whole lot of work to do that. Now, the word of God is alive and powerful, but it's activated by faith. I heard a guy on the internet saying that the blood of Jesus is meaningless. It has no power, because if it did, it would have saved the Roman soldiers that it splattered on. Now, that's the most asinine thing I've ever heard. You're saved by faith in the blood. The Bible clearly says everything in the kingdom of God is activated by faith, even the word of God. Jesus said, you, through your tradition, have made the word of God of no effect. Faith is the most fundamental thing in the Christian life, and you've got to understand what it's for. It's not to get gold nugget Rolex watches. It's to turn the world upside down, to build a local church, to cast out demons, to go win the lost. That's why we go to Deep Ellum. That's why Don and his team go to the mission twice a month, because we, and we don't want to just go, we want to go in faith. When I get up to preach on Sunday morning, as I said a few weeks ago, I'm exercising great faith that somebody will hear what I'm saying. Because, you know, Martin Luther said, preaching is the art of talking in other people's sleep. One guy told me, he said, pastor, I know my body's there, but my spirit stayed home today. Because, you know, faith is exciting. You remember when we had Ray Comfort here last year, I think it was, he was talking about, if you really believe something, you get excited about it. I mean, you can't help it. He said, when a guy called him on the phone and said, we're going to send you $100,000. I don't remember the figure or something like that. We made out the cashier's check. We're putting it in the mail right now. Now, he didn't have it, but he ran in his kitchen and told his wife and was jumping up and down going, man, we've got $100,000. Why? He believed that man. And one of the problems with Christianity is that the devil has eroded our confidence in the character of God. See, you won't believe someone's word unless you know their character. And God is the only one that can always keep his word. I promise you that. Your husband may fail sometimes, your wife or family or whatever, someone in the church, your pastor, anyone, because we mean well, but we're human. And we don't have the power to do things sometimes. You say, I'll be there in 30 minutes, and you get caught in the worst car wreck in Dallas. And you know what they say in Dallas, the shortest distance between two points is always under construction. That's true, isn't it? I found that to be true. I think that's in the Bible somewhere, maybe. It's in 1st Randy. Jesus did not rebuke his disciples for their lack of love. I know love is the most important motive. Paul made that real clear. But without faith, you can't even have love. Because faith, and Paul said, I finished my course. I ran the race. I fought a good fight. And every devil in hell said, amen, because they were lying around hell with black guys, missing legs, broken arms, maybe missing tails, missing horns, missing pitchforks. And they all said, amen, because Paul was known and feared in hell because of his faith. And faith is something that we have to use to activate the Word of God. Now, Jesus did rebuke his disciples for their lack of faith, constantly. We just read it. Oh, faithless and perverse generation. He was talking about his disciples. Because the man said, I brought him to your disciples, and they couldn't cast the demon out. And Jesus said, oh, faithless and perverse generation. He wasn't talking to the poor man with a demon-possessed son. Because in another passage, we know his disciples and the people standing around. And they said, why couldn't we cast him out in another gospel? And he said, because of your lack of faith, because of your unbelief. Faith is something we have to grab hold of. And then, I think two weeks ago, I talked about, God can't do it for you. You know, I wish God would just do it, put it in your heart, and say, here, I had faith for you. Jesus never turned to his disciples and said that, OK, I'll do it for you. No, he said, oh, ye of little faith, why did you doubt? He never did it for them. He said, if you had the faith the size of a mustard seed, one of the smallest seeds in the world, you could say to this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and it would obey you. I want you to know, it's not the size of your faith. It's who you're having faith in and whose word you're having faith in. It's God Almighty, Yahweh, Jehovah God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who flung the stars into space and said, light be and light was. That's whose word we're trusting. And he watches over his word to perform it. And we've got to learn that the word of God endures forever. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of God will never pass away. And the devil's continually piling up circumstances to make it look like God's word isn't true. But who's going to stand on the word? You say, why are you preaching on faith? Because we're in a dangerous age. The Bible says that in our lifetime, the love of the majority of the church is going to grow cold. That the enemy Satan's going to come down with great wrath, trying to stop us. The Lord spoke to me three and a half years ago. I guess it's almost four now. Actually, it was four on the 19th of August. When I had such a battle for three months, I had gotten hurt on my job as a bookstore, Christian bookstore manager. I split the casing around my ulnar nerve. A heavy bookshelf full of books fell over on it. I couldn't move my arm for six months. It hurt so bad. I could put it on a pillow. I couldn't sleep. Nothing helped. I went to the doctor. Made the mistake of saying I got hurt on the job. And he said, well, they'll have to file. And they didn't want me to, so I didn't. I got in terrible financial straits. And you know, I want to tell you right now. When you're going through trial, that doesn't mean you don't have any faith. That just means God is changing you and enlarging your faith. Because there's no one in the Word of God that got their faith enlarged without adversity. And what we're going through right now as a church is something that will enlarge our faith if we believe God. I had worked with someone that for some reason, when I got around them, I felt the worst spirit of depression I've ever felt in my life. It was horrible. Hopelessness and despair. And it got on me. And I reached rock bottom one night where I was so afraid. Irrational fear. I remember hearing Ray Comfort saying that he spoke in a meeting and went back home and could not leave his bedroom for two years. A spirit of fear attacked him. He couldn't even eat supper with his family. Now he has the number one Christian show on Christian television called The Way of the Master on every network. It's number one in the whole world. But it was rough and he was so fearful and he told me about it. He would sweat at night. I was sitting in a chair sweating for no reason. The devil was saying, I'm going to kill you. I'm going to kill your family. The worst attack of the spirit of fear. And I knew the Bible said God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love and of power and a sound mind. And with the last bit of life I had in me, I clung to that with my fingernails but I was sliding over the edge and I didn't think I was going to make it. I sat there sweating all night long. Afraid of, I didn't know what. Just an attack of the spirit of fear. And it drove me to fasting and praying for three months. I laid on the floor almost all day, sometimes all night, fasting and praying for three months. I've told you how I was sitting on my porch and God revealed himself to me supernaturally. And I saw who Jesus was through the scripture. This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased, whom I've always been delighting. And the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, if the father feels that way about his son, you better feel the same way too. And it opened up a whole new realm of the word of God to me. But the Lord also spoke to me powerfully and he said, you're going to be okay for I am with you and I will rebuke the spirit of fear. I'll rebuke the spirit of depression. And the Lord spoke to me supernaturally for a long time that in these last days, the enemy's weapons are spirits of depression, spirits of discouragement, that this is the most depressed Christian generation there's ever been. Christians are taking all kinds of drugs, Zoloft, tranquilizers, all kinds of medication because they don't have any peace and they don't have any faith. And God did not intend for us to live in fear. He's given us the victory through our faith. Our faith overcomes the world. Our faith purifies our heart and our faith works by love. And so what I'm trying to help you with today, keep this in mind, it's not to be depressed because God said that he was so angry with the children of Israel because instead of serving him with joy and gladness, they murmured and complained for 40 years while they were eating heavenly angels food, while their shoes didn't wear out, while their clothes never wore out, not one sick or feeble or lame, even in their livestock, the gods sent a cloud above their heads to block off the hot sun. Wouldn't that be wonderful right now? I prayed the other day, God, here I am in Dunkeyville, Lord, block that sun off. I guess I didn't have enough faith. And then you know what? He fled them with a pillar of cloud and fire, gave them water out of the rock, which was Christ. He was trying to teach them, please listen to me, two to three million people to depend on him and trust his word. And he led them out into the wilderness with fiery serpents and scorpions and no water where he could prove to them that he could be trusted. And they never believed him. And everybody above 20 years old died in that 40 years in the wilderness. But there was one guy, two guys, but one of them was more vocal. When Moses, I talked last week about the 10 spies that came back and discouraged a whole nation with an evil report. And I talked about how we discourage ourselves with our tongue by talking negative and critical and filling our hearts and minds with unbelief. I don't know if I'm going to make it. And the devil's going, yeah, yeah. Say that more. Say it louder. God's word isn't true. Your God can't be trusted. And their evil report, which they just lied on a whole bunch of it, discouraged the whole nation. They were saying, yes, there's grapes. There's Texas grapes. It takes two men to carry around. Yes, it's, oh yeah, God was right. It's a land flowing with milk and honey. It's everywhere. It's abundant land, but there's people nine feet, six inches tall, which was true. And the cities are walled up to heaven, which was a lie. They were 30 feet high. And then they really got anointed with an anti-anointing and started lying and said, the earth just opens up, alive. And the whole nation cried and wept. That's why the songwriter wrote whose report will you believe? As for me, I'll believe the report of the Lord. And while they were weeping and crying, Joshua and Caleb ran through the camp going, Hey, let's go right now. Let's come on. Let's go right now. We're well able to take the country. Come on, Mike, let's go. Hey, come on, let's go. They went to the whole camp. The Bible said, God, we're well able to take the land. Listen, Joshua said their food for us. Let's go right now. That's faith folks. He saw the same things they saw, but he believed God's word. The Bible said they didn't get to enter in because of their unbelief. They didn't mix the word with faith in Hebrews. Now I came up out of that pit of darkness, which was just an attack from hell. And I know some of you are going through that right now. You know how I know that? Because Jesus is about to come back and he is speedy. He put everything on high speed. He's speeding everything. It's not just speeding up at it. Additionally, it speeded up exponentially to the second power, to the third power, to the fourth power. It's going fast. And I don't know about you, but it's hard to keep up with God right now because he's moving fast and he's putting pressure on us to get everything out of our lives that's not like Jesus, everything that's not pleasing to him. And he's getting us ready for his soon return. And folks, you have to be ready because Jesus said, be ready. I believe Jesus instead of anybody on TV. He died on the cross for me. I believe him. He said, watch and pray that you'd be kind of worthy to escape all these things. And I believe in the rapture with all my heart. And I'm not trying to get out of here. I want to see Jesus. Can't wait. But I want to be more like him a whole lot more. It could be tonight. I hope it's not tonight, but it could be because I need some more time to be more like him. Now, please listen to me. I know that many of you, God is speeding it up. Also, the Bible says in Hebrews, whatever can be shaken in the last days will be shaken so that what remains cannot be shaken. And we sang about that today in Christ alone. Now, we also sang something else. Shout to the Lord. Now, I want to tell you what the Lord spoke to my heart. Paul said, I fought a good fight. I kept the faith. I kept the faith. He had it easy, though. It wasn't like us. He had it made in the shade. Paul was on a gravy train with biscuit wheels. He was writing these letters from the holiday inn, drinking a Diet Coke. He took a break between film and his television program. You know what he said? I fought a good fight. Man, of all the things he could have said, he told Timothy, I'm ready to be offered. My time is at hand. He could have said many things. I got snake bit on an island, shook it off. I fought with beasts at Ephesus. I fought with beasts at Canton, Texas. A rottweiler and a pit bull when my truck, my van broke down. Wasn't any fun either. But he said, I fought a good fight. Man, of all the things he could have said, he said, I fought a good fight. And folks, I want you to know you're in the battle of your lives. You're in the battle of your lives right now for your spiritual future, for your marriage, for your home. God uses things like finances to humble us, get us on our face and pray. And some of you, you're going through financial crisis. Some of you are going through a marriage crisis. Maybe you're going through a physical crisis, maybe some kind of emotional crisis. Maybe you're struggling with depression and discouragement and fear. And I know by the spirit that the devil is throwing great spears and arrows of fear and despair and hopelessness and discouragement against us. I feel it in the atmosphere. America is in the greatest crisis of its life, not by terrorists, but by the devil in the spirit of antichrist saying, I'm going to kick Jesus Christ out of the public arena of America. I'm going to take the word of God out of the public eye. I'm going to take his law out of public eye. I'm going to take God's name off the money and I'm going to have my way. The spirit of antichrist is saying. We've never seen the like, and I'm not afraid of some of bin Laden, but the Bible said, be sober, you be vigilant because your adversary, the devil goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. If you're not careful, he'll devour you. And listen, I'm not saying you're going to go to hell or you're going to backside. I'm saying that you'll live out your lives and hopelessness, despair and discouragement and fear and not be able to enjoy the word of God, the things of God serving God. God said, when you serve me, do it with joy and gladness because the joy of the Lord is your strength. That's the word of God. That's why the devil fights joy. That's what Tyler and the worship team were demonstrating. And some of us, we can't praise God because a big fat spirit of fear is sitting on our head and won't let us do anything. Won't let us shout. Now, while I was praying, the Lord began to speak to me and I went, studied it through the whole Bible as fast as I could. And I've preached on the fighting spirit four times. The devil only has to do one thing. Some situation, just a word. From someone, a husband, wife, someone at church, someone at work, just a little situation. And he just took your fight out of you. Man, you were going gung-ho. You were on fire. You were ready to go out and win souls and whip the devil. You were here, going to be here for prayer meeting. You're going to be here for church. You were on fire. You're ready to say shout to the Lord. And between Friday night when that happened and Sunday morning, he took the fight out of you and it's gone. And you're sitting there going, what happened? And as long as he does that one thing, take your fighting spirit away. Take away that fire, that seal, that faith. Paul said, I fought a good fight. I kept the faith. The battle was for faith. And if he fought and had to fight to keep his faith, who do we think we are that we can be carried to the skies on flowery beds of ease while others fought to win the prize and sail through bloody seas? It's a battle to the death. And you were born into battle. You were born to fight demons and devils. You were born to destroy the works of the enemy. And the devil sidelines most of us. And we sit around discouraged and having to take prescription drugs because we have no peace. And fear is consuming our lives. The Bible said God consumed the children of Israel's lives in hopelessness and despair because they didn't believe. I know it's hard, man. I know. I've been there. I said the last few weeks, my kids both dying in the hospital, both my sons dying. The doctors calling me out saying they're not going to live. I know what that despair feels like. And folks, as I said last week, I knew God could do it, but I didn't know if he was going to. There was a difference. But thank God he did heal both of them instantly. Brought them up off their deathbeds. One of them said, amen, maybe both. Folks, the devil wants you to stand there with no fight and no shout and no victory. And I'm going to tell you right now how to get it. It's unfailing. I looked it up from Genesis and Revelation. This is the unfailing way to have joy, peace, faith, and victory. I'm not telling you it's easy. It's a fight like you wouldn't believe. As long as you'll stay cool and complacent and to surrender the chill of your environment in this generation, you'll be okay. If you let Jesus be number two in your life instead of number one, you'll be okay. There won't be a conflict. But when you say, I don't want to just go barely into heaven. I don't want to be a street sweeper in heaven. I don't want to have a cabin in the corner of glory land. I want to be married to Jesus Christ and sit on the throne and rule and reign with him for all eternity. Folks, you're in training right now. You're in training right now to rule and reign. And if we can't rule and reign in this life over the enemy, over the devil, over our hearts, over our minds, over our thoughts, over our attitudes, and over this one little thing that's set on fire by hell and a world of iniquity, our tongues. 99% of all the Christians in America and the whole world never get the victory over their tongues. Never. They gossip and criticize and complain. And you can do it. I mean, you won't go to hell. I don't know. Gossips will because Romans 1 says they will. But you can complain. You might just die physically in the The Bible said not to let blessing and cursing come out of the same mouth. Bitter and water, bitter and sweet water come out of the same. When I went down, went to Sister Higgins' graveside in Oklahoma, Les told me there was, it's Sulphur, Oklahoma, that there was a fountain in town in the park that tastes like rotten eggs. The water tasted like rotten eggs. He said, you got to go there and drink it. I think Tommy told me she held her nose and still tasted it. Was that you? I took his word for it. I believed it. I didn't have to go there and taste of it, smell of it. I trust Les. I believed him. When God said, I will take care of you, cast all your cares on me because I care for you. Hebrews 12, 5 says, Jesus said, I will never, never, never, never, never, five times in the Greek, leave you or forsake you. You better believe he will never leave you or forsake you. Faith, it's good to see you again. I like that tan. I got to get me one. I lay on a white sheet and disappear. The Lord spoke to me back there that there is a holy anger that we're not using because we think it's wrong. But Jesus did. We just read it. All the way to the gospels. You know what made Jesus angrier than everything else? Religion. He hated religion. You ought to read Matthew 23 in the Greek. It's the only group in the Bible. He pronounced their condemnation in advance. You'll not escape the damnation of hell. You scribes, Pharisees, and hypocrites that sit in Moses' seat. He was looked at the hardness of their heart. He looked at their unbelief. He was in the synagogue and they brought out a man with a withered hand to test him. And the Bible said he looked around upon them in anger. That word means a violent passion. We read be angry and sin not. The Greek root word of that word means to have a violent passion or emotion. John the Baptist is one of my favorite guys because he was just tough. He didn't let the devil or Herod get anything on him. He believed God and he got his head cut off. But right now he's in the presence of Jesus Christ shouting around the throne because he never backed down or backed up or stepped aside from a battle. And John the Baptist said the kingdom of heaven suffers violence. And the violent take it by force. As long as you sit there passive, the devil will steal everything you have. Your peace of mind, your joy, your finances, your marriage, your home, your life with God. You'll sit around and worry and be afraid and be sick in your body. I know we get old and wear out, but and we have normal things of life, cold and so on. But God did not intend for us to live out our days sick all the time. I read all the way through the gospels. Every time they brought a sick person to Jesus, he healed them. But he's not the same anymore. That's the problem. He is. He's the same yesterday, today and forever. Folks, you've got and I went through the whole Bible. You know how much the Bible talks about God's anger? If he has anger and we're in his image, Jesus is living in us. Jesus got angry. You say, well, he wasn't. He was a shepherd with a little lamb around his sheep and neck. He was. And he was a sissy, a tiptoe through the tulips, pusillanimous pollywog. He didn't want to offend anybody. He didn't want to mention his name to sinners because that might have offended. He sure would have never said repent to anybody. Each generation of vipers. You know what that means in the Greek? Your mama was a snake. Your daddy was a snake. Your grandparents were snakes. Your wife's a snake and all your kids are snakes and you're the biggest snake. That's what it literally means. He never read how to win friends and influence people. You know why? Because he was on a mission to fight. The Bible says for this purpose, once the son of God manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. That's why he came. And we're in the same business as the son of God was. And we're here to make sure that when Jesus Christ comes back, that there's faith on this earth. He said, nevertheless, when I return, will there be any faith on this earth? And it's our job to stand on the word of God and make sure that when he splits the skies, that there's faith left on this earth. The real faith, faith in God, faith in his word. And folks, it's time you started fighting back. If you're sick all the time, if you're depressed all the time, if you're down all the time, if you're having marriage problems all the time, if you're having financial problems all the time, that's why we're fasting 40 days and 40 nights and praying. We're fighting back. We're not going to lay it down, lay down and die and let the devil have everything. We're going to fight and we're going to go fetch help against him at the throne. And you've got to get mad. Listen to me, I'm talking to some of you, and I wish you would. It's time you quit sitting there and putting up with the devil's playground in your mind and let him attack your family. Folks, you've got to stand up and you've got to get full of holy anger and say, that's it. I've had it and that's enough. I am not going to lay down and be the devil's doormat anymore. I'm going to fight back with all my might. And the devil says, who are you? I am a child of the king. I'm accepted in the beloved. I'm washed by the blood of Jesus. I'm righteous by the blood of Jesus. And my God keeps his word. I'm going to stand on this book. If heaven and earth pass away, there's one thing that's not going to pass away. The word of God, it's going to endure forever. Come on, somebody shout. Your God is the God of gods. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He's the God of the living and the God of the dead. It's time you started fighting back and said, devil. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thus saith the Lord God, be still and know that I am God. And when you know me, go forth into battle with the knowledge of me, saith the Lord, that I keep my word, that I watch over my word to perform it, that I cannot lie, that I've loved you with an everlasting love. You're graven upon the palms of my hand. If a nursing mother can forget her nursing babe, I will forget you, saith the Lord, but I will not forget you, saith the Lord, and your name is on my hand. Go forth in faith and go forth in victory, and I will push back the enemy. When the enemy comes in like a flood, I always send my spirit to lift up the standard against it, saith the Lord. Come on, shout to the Lord. Come on, shout to the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The two words for shout in Joshua 6, the first one means to split the eardrum. The second one means a loud battle cry. Psalms 150, when it said hit the high-sounding cymbals, Derek, the clashing cymbals, that word clashing means a shout of a battle cry. That's why we have pianos, guitars, drums, because the Bible said to praise him upon the stringed instruments, to praise him with a battle shout of the clashing cymbal, because it's a sound of victory. Some of you, please hear me, you've grown weary because of the enemy's pressure. He's trying to wear you out like Delilah wore Samson out, but we're more than conquerors through him that loved us. And some of you, the devil has taken your little lambs that God gave you, your children and your grandchildren. And he's like that lion in the bear in David's life that grabbed him and ran off. But David said, you teach my hands to war. By my God, I can run through truth, leap over a wall. I have hinds feet. I can climb up the mountain and fight the devil. And I want you to know, please hear me. This is a word from God for you. The devil has your kids. I'm telling you, rise up. David was a young boy, about 15, 14 years old when he went to fight Goliath. And Saul said, you can't take this armor. And David said, listen, I mean, you got to wear this arm. He said, I can't wear it. It's too big. It hadn't been tried. And he said, listen, every morning I get up and I get off my cot and put my feet on a bear skin. Because that bear made the mistake of taking one of my little lambs. I could have said it's just the littlest one. It didn't ever mind anyway. It wasn't any good. It was always getting into trouble. It was the sinfulness little lamb I had. I just let that bear have it. The Bible said that David said he ran after that bear and he chased that bear down and he smoked the bear and he took the lamb away. Many of us would give up and say, I can't do anything about it. And he said, then I opened the door, which is a lion skin over my door. That lion took one of my lambs and I chased it down and I beat it to death. And I brought that lamb back folks. It's time to get up and get a Holy anger against not each other. You don't get mad at each other. You get mad at the devil's works and you don't put up with them and you tell the devil. And I want you to listen to this. Get you five or six scriptures. Yeah. Print them out. Thank God for computers. I used to have to write all these out by hand. Print them out. Get in your house. Do it every time you come to church. Boy, if you'd learned to shout, when you came to church, you'd have so much more victory still letting the devil sit on you going, go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep. Little baby better put the dogs outside. It'll scare them. I'm serious. If we yell, our dog gets scared, runs and gets in a pen and we yell because we're shouting the yell. I'm thinking about in particular with Tyler going, what is that? This giant bug was flying through the room. Please listen to me. The Bible says you should be saved in your old household. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord and all the promises to Joshua. I like Joshua because he never backed down. He said, let's go right now. He was so full. He didn't see the burning bush. He just heard the word from Moses. He said, let's go right now and get you five or six scriptures. Get along, turn the phone off, turn the TV off, turn the radio off and walk through your house and get mad at the devil and his works. I'm serious. Really? God's angry. He's angry with the wicked every day. He's angry with the devil's works. Uh, one of the greatest preachers in America, uh, uh, Edward Payson, praying Payson. He said, God's angry with the wicked because they're throwing their lives away. He's angry with the wicked because he loves them so much and they won't receive it. Get those scriptures and get ready to split the devil's eardrums because there's something about a loud voice. I just put, put scriptures in there. Jesus cried with a loud voice over and over and over. He was the son of God. He could have whispered to Lazarus. It would have done the same thing, except for one thing. He was teaching us the shot of faith and he said, Lazarus, my old Pentecostal preacher in white house, Texas said, if he had just said come forth, every dead person on the face of the earth would got up and come out of the grave. So he had to be specific and say, Lazarus, you come forth. And the Bible says he that was dead came forth healed. I want you to know he didn't whisper it. God's not nervous. You've got to learn to shout for what you want. The shout of praise, the shout of victory, give a battle cry and say, devil, I am on the war path. And I don't mean arrogance. I don't mean arrogance or stupidity. I'm talking about standing on the word of God. Devil, you've had it. I'm giving you a dance notice. I'm not putting up every day, every night. I'm going to shout these scriptures. I'm going to go through my house and I'm getting mad and I'm not going to put up with it anymore. I'm tired and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. And I want to be up and coming. And you start shouting those verses as loud as you can. I've been doing it the last three days. I want to tell you something. The devil goes, resist the devil, resist the devil. He'll what he'll flee from you. When that man came with that, the man cried out from the crowd with a loud voice, Jesus. And he brought him to him. The Bible said, Jesus rebuked that spirit all the way to the gospels. He rebuked it. That means to forbid it. Come out of him. It's time we destroyed. I'm speaking to a lot of people here, right? Someone here right now, you just got some bad news this weekend. It looks bad. Someone you know is very, very sick. I want to tell you something. You start fighting for them. When our sons were dying in the hospital, I could have said, well, that's it. There's nothing the doctors can do. That's what they told me. But I went to a higher doctor, a more educated doctor, the one who created us. And we fasted and prayed. And I want you to know that we fought with everything we had in us. We also had to humble ourselves and surrender. Lord, if they die, we're still going to serve you. But we're fighting for their lives. We fasted, we prayed. I went five days without eating or sleeping. People say you can't pray continually. That's a lie from the pits of hell. You can pray without ceasing till you pass out. It's time we got our stuff back. I went to the enemy's camp and I took back what he stole from me. In Joel chapter 2, God said he'd give you back everything. The locust, the caterpillar, the pommel worm, the canker worm has stolen from you. Stand with me. If you're here today, you're not a Christian. This is the most exciting thing in the universe. Jesus, you deserved death and hell. You deserve death and hell. Jesus took your place on the cross and paid the penalty for all your sins so you could go free and the joy of the Lord could be your strength. Yes, we go through trials and tests. Yes, we get down. But get up and start fighting back. Get wisdom from this book. If you're here today and you're not a Christian, please come up after the altar. I'll remain up here. The rest of you, I want you to get your and whatever the situation is, I'm not going to make you come down front. But if you have to leave and slip out, God bless you. But if you have a need or you can stay with us, stay. Maybe it's a grandchild. Maybe it's a sickness. Maybe it's in your body. Maybe it's depression. I know. I know what it's like to be in so much pain. You can't stand it to be so down. The devil's telling you you're going to die, be so filled with fear. And I believe God took me through that battle so I could be ready to help God's people in the last days. I know that as a matter of fact. And I'll tell you, it works. It works. That third month, at the end of that third month, God spoke to me supernaturally four times in one day, the same thing. Because three months before he had told me, if I came tonight, you're not ready. He wouldn't go. And I was a good Christian. I thought I was a preacher, but I was watching things on primetime television that weren't pleasing to Jesus. And I had to get them out of my life. And boy, I was glad they're gone. Because all they were doing was making me depressed and discouraged. Hold your Bible up. Word of the living God. I believe it. I trust it. Father, I trust you. You're good. Your mercy endures forever. You've loved me with an everlasting love. You care about my children. You care about me, my family, my church. I know you're going to move. I have faith. I confess your word that he that's begun a good work in me will perform it to the day of Jesus Christ. Forgive me for being critical and negative and not believe in your word and confessing my unbelief. I repent. Wash me with your blood. And I know you've heard me from this day forward. Put a spark in me of holy anger against sin, against the devil's works, against the enemy. Help me to rise up in Jesus name and stand on your word like I never have in my life. I have faith. I'm going to fight a good fight. I'm going to keep the faith in Jesus name. Amen. I want you to tell God what your need is real quick. Tell him what your need is. If it's your children, come on. Say, Lord, I need a miracle in my children's lives. They're away from God, my grandchildren. They're away from home. I pray, Lord, that you'd intervene in their lives. Work a miracle in the mighty name of Jesus. Work a miracle in the mighty name of Jesus. Come on. Somebody's got to believe for something. Lord, in my finances, I believe for a miracle. I need a better job. I need a job that I can go to church on Sunday with. I need a job that I can be in the house of God with. Lord, I'm going to take victory from my own mind, from my own spirit in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus. Come on, tell him. Come on, tell him. Take a moment and tell God what you need. Open your mouth wide and he'll fill it. Open your mouth.
