Acts, Chapter 13, verse 22. I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who shall do all my will. Let's have a further word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we want to thank you for gathering us together this afternoon. We know that we are in thy presence, that we may truly see thee face to face. We pray that thou wilt speak, that we may hear thy voice, and be transformed. David, we know that David's life is very rich and very full. It is impossible, his whole life, his life is multicolored. He is a shepherd, he is also a fugitive, and he also, in the Bible, in a sense, he is a tyrant. Not David, but greater. We can find governing, the making. We know that we, as has made us, both priests. We are not only priests, and the making, we will just use concerning. The Holy Spirit bears witness, and says, I, David, the son of Jesse, a man after my heart. So, this afternoon, we will... David, a man after my heart. We know when God created man, there must be a reason, in heaven, manifest the glory of God. But, in all these, because all these, these manifest his glory. They, they are his work. God created his form, beginning of the creation, to be, he may commune in man. You'll find, he has, and God, and God told man, in the midst of the, because anything that is in the center, is something, so, stand by the, that will serve God's purpose is, and his image, man has the capacity to receive God's own divine, you know, to receive God's, even, they are not, receive God's life, and, that is, receive his own life. And, with the same, instead of, they rebel against sin. And, because of this man, we find how God, God is doing, he is trying, that we may be, man and, searching, and, whose name was David, how did Jesse, now, with this introduction, is found in the book of, David is the son of Jesse, and Ruth is David's, David, first Samuel, he is said to be the second, most likely, usually, you find, he is the youngest son, and, his brother, he is very, study the word of God, any reason, Stanley, he said, David, actually, actually, he said, David was, so, that explain the reason why, there is such a great difference, between David, and his two sisters, yeah, if you turn, yeah, first Chronicles, chapter two, verse, maybe, David, first Chronicles, chapter two, verse fifteen, David, the seventh, and their sister, David, one sister, one sister, and, and, you see, the age of, and so, that explain also, why he was born, you know, in Psalm 51, verse five, verse five, David, said, behold, in iniquity, he is very literal, so, said that David was really born in sin, in sin conceived, his father, before had my father and my mother forsaken me, then had Jehovah, he said, people began to think, maybe that David was born in sin, and because of this, Jehovah sent this youngest son to the field for situations, you know God moved his wonder to perform, David being situation, in a sense you find he is being shepherd, because he is being shepherd, so there he was in the wilderness, and then in this natural abyss, he was being, in the quiet, God became, he began to understand God, they, many began to understand, commune, and yet, you know, how the children, because he was during that period, we know, you remember, and there was a battle, and when the Israelite, you remember when they first led them, and yet, they rebelled against God, and God will not, you know the Ark of His symbol, to Israel, six months, you remember that the Philistines were so hidden in the forest, it is as if God did not inquire, and he never inquired, but David, he knew God, and he wanted to see God, said David, and we find that even today, Jesse gathered his seven sons, but just in Jesse's mind, this little boy will never, and then you remember, he was a man of stature, and Samuel said now, this was a head above all, and Samuel in his heart, because man looked, and none was chosen, so Samuel said, is that all? When David came, this is the one I have chosen, you find that man of, he is very deceived, God does not, God does not look at whether you are a man of, you know our heart, is the same, the same kind of, and life is in the blood, and so are, even our physical heart, is the center of our, yes, it is the center, he said, because our, the very center, and you also remember our Lord, he talked about, you know, they, they blessed him, out of the abundance of the heart, you know, whatever is in your heart, it will eventually come out from, and so you find that, you remember when they eat without washing their hands, now the Pharisees said to the Lord, the disciples do not wash their hands before they eat, they violate the teaching, and our Lord Jesus said, he said, what goes in does not defile you, and Peter, what you take in, will eventually, but from you, from your heart, that defiles man, so brothers and sisters, we know that our heart is very, very important, and the Bible said we need to guard, because it is so precious, so you need to guard it, you need, you need to keep this heart in good condition, then you will find, that come out of it, will be damaging, have we ever, we want to appear good, then, he does not look upon our heart, and we need to guard our heart, and yet strangely, you find that in Jeremiah chapter 17, verses 9 and 10, there you will find God said, behold, he is deceitful above all things, and impure. In other words, the heart itself is so deceitful, you know, after we have fallen into sin, this heart, and it is impure. You do not even know your own heart. There is only one person who examines our heart, and proves our race, and that is God. God is the only one who can examine our heart, and thank God. When we believe in the Lord Jesus, the Bible tells us, cleanse an evil conscience. You know, before we believe in the Lord Jesus, we carry a guilty conscience. Because of our heart accuses us. And yet, the blood of the Lord Jesus cleanses our heart from an evil conscience. He gave us a new heart. Formerly our heart is a heart of stone. Very hard. There is no reaction to God. No feeling to God. He has given us a heart of flesh. So with this new heart, we can love God. With this new heart, we can know God. And we can be men and women of God's heart. But unfortunately, when you first believe in the Lord Jesus, you are very tender in your heart. Some people even experience, whenever they... You are given a new heart. You are very tender. As days go by, gradually the world, my sin, are all flesh. And gradually you find our heart, we do not know our own heart. You know, our heart is hardened. That is the reason, you find David. David is a man of faith. He knows that he is not even able to pray. Therefore, you find that, there you find he pray a prayer. He said, God, examine my heart. And prove my thoughts. And see if there is any wicked way in me. Second, lead me. Brothers and sisters, David, he needs to pray that prayer. Because he knows our heart is deceitful. We may be deceived by our heart. We do not know where our heart really is. Whether it is still in tune with God's heart. Or it has been hardened towards God. So he prayed, examining my heart. And you prove my thoughts. To see if there is any wicked, evil way in me. And this evil way, in another translation, is idolatrous way. That is to say, whether my heart is not pure towards you. Whether I have a double heart, a divided heart. That is idolatrous way. You know, what is, it means that aside. So David, he prayed. He wants God to keep him in a pure heart. That his heart is perfect towards God. That is David's prayer. That he may always walk in the way of God. And because he prays such prayer. And brothers and sisters, I believe this is a prayer that we should pray every day. Because our heart is so important to our spiritual life. If anything is wrong with our heart, our whole being is. We need to be humble enough to acknowledge that. And we need to ask the Lord to examine our heart every day. So that our heart will be kept pure, perfect towards God. Then our heart is always in tune with God's heart. What he hates, what he will reject, we bless it for the pure in heart. So they shall see God. You know, if our heart is pure, we will see God daily. Brothers and sisters, how many days have you had? We need. Because this is the one thing that God is looking for. You know, the comment of the Holy Spirit concerning David. He said, I have found David. I have found David. That very word shows you how difficult it is for God to finally find a person. We should all be man and woman of God's heart. Because that's why we are created. This is the will of God. And yet today God has to search to try to find someone whose heart is really towards him. May the Lord find in us the man and woman. Dear Heavenly Father, we do want to thank you. Because thou dost do everything to restore man to be man of your heart. Thou dost even send thy only begotten son into this world. To seek and to find the lost. Oh dear Lord, we pray that thy love will be enough. That we desire to really turn our hearts towards thee. Allow thee to not only examine us but even to cure us. That we may have a pure heart towards thee. That we may see thy face day by day. That we may know thy will. And may do. We pray that our blessed brothers and sisters here And bring us, every one of us, into that place. Where? And we give thee all the glory. In the name of Jesus.
