Matthew chapter 5, please, in the New Testament. My message title is, We Still Have Time to Make a Difference. We still have time to make a difference. Matthew chapter 5. Now, Father, I thank you today for the anointing of your Holy Spirit. I thank you, Lord, for strength that only can come from you. I thank you for the quickening power that you are willing to give us as we open your Word, and our hearts are alive to hear it and to be changed into the image of Christ by your promises and your power within us. I thank you for the ability to speak this and the ability that you give all of us to be able to hear it. Lord God, help us to make a difference in this hour of time that we're living in. Let it begin today. We ask it in Jesus' name. Matthew 5, we still have time to make a difference, beginning at verse 13. You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden under the foot of men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Now there are core properties in salt, and it's interesting to know these things because Jesus identifies us in our time and in our world as both salt and light, and there are reasons for this. When you look at salt, for example, salt creates thirst. You remember in John chapter 7, verse 37, Jesus stood at the last day of the feast and said, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. He that believes on me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Your life and mine, if Christ is in me, if Christ is in you, should be creating thirst. If I have the Spirit of God upon me this morning, if I have heard from His Word, if I'm preaching from His heart, it should create something of thirst in you, and you and I should be used to the Lord to create thirst in our society around us. One of the other properties of salt is that it's used to heal. Luke 4.18, Jesus stood in the temple and said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and then He gave reasons to set free those that are oppressed, to heal those that have been bruised in heart, to bring deliverance to the captives, the unlocking of treasure to those that are poor in spirit, and such like. Salt should preserve. Isaiah 58.12, when God spoke through the prophet Isaiah about His people, and He said, If you're willing to reach out and be representatives of me in your society, He said, Those that be born of you, those that come into the kingdom of God through you, will be repairers of the breach, and restorers of paths to dwell in. Salt preserves. Salt brings back a testimony of Christ, something that is never lost, it's only that we fail to see it. The testimony of Christ is still very, very alive in this generation. The power of God is as real now as it always has been, but it's up to you and I to bring to the fore again that understanding. Salt adds flavor to any situation. In 2nd Corinthians chapter 2 verse 14, Paul said, Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savor of His knowledge by us in every place. The savor of His knowledge. Everywhere we go, if we are the salt of the earth, as Christ calls us, there's a flavor that follows us. It creates something of appetite, of the taste. There should be that savor of Christ, and the knowledge of Him everywhere we are, where we live, where we work, where we walk, our day-to-day routine should, there should be this following of this manifested savor of Jesus Christ in us. And light shows people a clear path that leads to all that God is. Now I want to read to you from 2nd Corinthians chapter 4. Listen to what Paul says to the Corinthian church, Therefore seeing we have received this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not, thank God for that, but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the Word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. Paul says those who belong to God, we have renounced dishonesty. We're not dealing deceitfully with God. We're not sitting in the house of the Lord this morning knowing that we are involved in practices willfully, that God says clearly in His Word are wrong. We're not craftily handling, we're not deceitfully. Oh folks, there's no greater deception than that comes upon the deceiver himself. You look at Satan and what happened to him. He's a created being that lives in total, complete, and utter delusion, thinking even no doubt that he can overthrow the kingdom and the people of God in the last days of time that we're living in. And those who come into the house of the Lord and don't handle God's Word honestly, don't let God's Word shine as it is into their hearts and minds and onto their path. There's a deception that comes into the heart, and you can actually end up believing that evil is good and good is evil. We have a fallen nature. Our fallen nature wants to be as God. Our fallen nature wants to make a declaration that something that God says is wrong, we want to declare it to be right. We want to have sex outside of marriage, for example, and say this is a good thing. We want to steal and say, well, God knows that I need the supply. I had a man come to me one time who was praying for provision, and some drug baron came and offered him $5,000 to store marijuana in his barn. He was a farmer at the time, and he came to me giving me a praise report. It was back in Canada. How God had met his need by hiding these illegal drugs in his hayloft in his barn. I remember looking at the man. He'd been years in the house of God. He was raised in the house of God, and I remember thinking, how do you sit on the truth and get so incredibly dark? You see, the problem is he'd never handled the Word of God honestly, and had been crafty in a sense, like weaving it around the truths of God's Word, seeing how far I can ride the line without ending up in hell. It's dangerous to live that way in the Word of God, and the end result is a deception, a delusion. The end result is the light goes out. There's no light in the heart. There's no light in the mind. Can you imagine that man going to somebody unsaved and giving that kind of a testimony to them, of how God had met his need? You can be sure it wouldn't be a police officer he'd be talking to for sure. But the Scripture says we don't handle the Word of God deceitfully, but by manifesting the truth, we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. We live in truth. We walk in truth. We let truth live in us. We embrace the truths that hurt, as well as the ones that heal, those that are difficult, as well as the ones that are easy, and walking in this truth, we become a living Bible. May I call it that way. And we literally commend the grace of God. We put forth or forward the life, the grace, the power of God to the conscience of people who are living around us. When we choose not to be deceitful with God, we choose to walk in the truth, we, Paul says, we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. Now Paul said, if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those that are lost. If our hearts are set on Jesus Christ, if Christ is our salvation, if Christ is our life source, if the heart of Jesus for this world actually becomes ours, then our chief desire should be to honor him. Would you agree? My chief desire and yours should be to bring honor to Jesus Christ everywhere we go. How we live, how we speak, what we do, it doesn't mean we don't make mistakes. I make them and you make them. But the core value in our lives is to bring honor to his name and to everywhere we go to be that salt that preserves, creates thirst, heals, and adds flavor to any situation we find ourselves in. And if this is our chief desire, you and I would live in a way that causes some to turn towards God because of what they see in us. Some. Not everyone will turn. You and I know that. That would be inappropriate thinking to think that everyone around you is going to get saved. That's simply not going to happen. It didn't happen with Jesus. It's not going to happen with us. But many will turn when they see this manifested life of Christ in us, when they observe us walking in freedom, when they hear our conversation. And it's so other, it's so different than those who don't have the power of God reigning inside of them. In Joshua chapter 24 verse 15, Joshua was rehearsing with the people of God of his time everything the Lord had done. He went back into biblical history and he said, now remember you've been delivered and how you were delivered and how God carried you and what God did for you and what obstacles he removed before you to bring you into the place where you are today. And he said, but you must do something this day. You must choose this day whom you will serve. You must choose. You must make a clear-cut choice in your heart. Am I going to serve? Joshua was telling the people the gods that failed before. Am I going to serve the gods of this present nation that are leading it into destruction, leading the people into darkness? Am I going to be part of this? Am I going to halt between two opinions? Joshua said, no choose this day whom you will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. I remember when I was a young Christian, you've heard this story before I'm sure, but I'm getting old so I'm entitled now to repeat my story. And there's nothing anybody here can do about it because that's the way God designed it to be. When I was a young Christian I was reading this from the book of Joshua and I had a friend of mine who was a carpenter make a sign, quite a large sign, actually I still have it. And he made this sign and it basically it had a sheep farm name on the top of it but underneath it had a large scripture and it just said, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. And I meant that with all my heart. Now you have to understand I was starting from way back in Christian understanding. I had a lot of things to learn, a lot of mistakes were going to be made, a lot of roads were going to be traveled, a lot of roads had to be re-traveled. But by God's grace and by God's mercy the journey has always gone forward because I had made a choice in my heart. And I want to encourage you, especially those who are living in this generation that we're living in now, if ever there was a time to make a choice, Joshua was saying listen here's the way it is, if God is God serve him. If God is God walk with him. If God is God let it be everything. I remember saying one day to my my wife Pastor Teresa, I said to her if this is true, if this is real, I want the whole thing or nothing. Choose this day whom you're going to serve Joshua said. Make a choice young people that are here today. Stop dealing deceitfully with the Word of God. Don't be crafty because you're going to get caught in your own craftiness. The Lord will not be mocked the scripture says. You cannot mock God. You cannot play games with the Holy God because he's the one who determines whether you can understand or not understand. And ultimately he's the one who determines whether or not he will choose to give you the strength to walk in a way that honors him and glorifies him. On my part and your part he gives the strength. His are the promises. His is the glory. It's all for his redemptive purposes on the earth. The only part that I have is initially to make a choice. Choose this day whom you're going to serve. But there's so much mixture in this present generation of people who call themselves by the name of Jesus Christ. I don't know how you can be a Christian and watch what you watch some people that are here. And do what you do and read what you read and go where you go. I'm standing like Joshua did before the people of Israel today and say chose this day. Make a choice if God if Jesus Christ is God serve him. If this word is truth walk in it. If he's called you to glorify his name do it. We've come to a place in our time where everyone who calls themselves followers of Christ must make a choice. Must. This is no longer a season we're not living in a season where we have a lot of tomorrows to get this right. And the choice is do we remain hidden or do we make a public and legitimate stand for Jesus Christ. That's the choice. Does the salt of my life is my life going to be one that people just discount? Am I going to if I was you and I walked into the workplace am I going to live such a Christianity that people know I go to church but my life is discounted because of the way I live it. That's what it means. The salt is is cast down and trodden under the foot of men. It means the testimonies have no consequence. Nobody wants to hear it. Nobody much cares. There doesn't appear to be any validity in it. So people just tread upon it. That's all they do. They they walk upon this they walk a trample on this testimony. We must choose to make a legitimate and a public stand for Jesus Christ. Now many people have relegated the perilous days that Paul spoke about in 2nd Timothy chapter 3 to a distant future time. All all things Peter said in the last days is going to be a core speaking that says all things continue as they have been for thousands of years and they've been talking about Christ coming forever and he's not going to come. Don't worry. Eat, drink, be merry. We have a thousand tomorrows ahead of us. Now many people relegate these days to the future but I want to make a declaration today that I believe that the perilous times that Paul spoke about in 2nd Timothy chapter 3 are here. They're here. We're living in these days that Paul spoke about. In our time you and I are witnessing the break breakdown of a great society. It breaks my heart to see what's happening to this country in particular. We're seeing lawlessness so unprecedented that folks I don't know about you but it's hard to read the news now. I don't mind scanning the headlines just to see what kind of a mess we're getting ourselves into now but folks you go down article after article of this senseless violence, the crimes that it seems that no place is safe anymore. Schools are not safe. Churches are not safe. Folks there's violence. The home is not safe. There's family dissolution in our time where the family has been breaking down at an unprecedented level and right now I don't have to convince you because many of you are victims of it. You know the pain that comes from it. You know the heartache in a sense of trying to get back what was lost and trying not to inflict the pain upon others that was inflicted on you. We're living at a time when marriage is being redefined at the highest levels in our nation and folks this to me is almost inconceivable that this could happen in this country. This is the basic unit of stability is the family. If you tamper with and destroy the family the very fabric of the nation is going to fall apart. I have no doubt about that. We're living at a time when good is being called evil and evil is being called good. It's no longer optional for you and I to be sideline players in the events of our day. I believe with all my heart that the followers of Jesus Christ should run for public office. I believe that followers of Jesus Christ. You should be on city and town councils and committees. You should be on educational boards. I believe it's time for followers of Jesus Christ to stop sitting on the sidelines and get involved. If we're going to be salt we have to be in places where people travel. If we're going to be light we have to be in places where people travel. It seems like we've been on some kind of a Caribbean cruise as the Church of Jesus Christ in the last 20 years while the enemies have come in the gate and gotten into almost every fabric of our society. There's enough people who still believe in the Word of God who still believe in Jesus Christ. We still have time to make a difference in our generation. I believe that followers of Jesus Christ should vote. I believe that with all my heart. Stop sitting on the sidelines. The people of God have got to get out and vote. You know what is right. You know what is wrong. You know what the Bible says. Vote according to your conscience. To the Christ that's been revealed to you, vote according to that. Don't sit on the sidelines any longer. I believe that as people of Christ we must make the decision to live right. To live right. Folks it's not optional anymore. It's not it's no longer optional to play games with God and to live this kind of wander in, wander out, wander in, wander out of the kingdom of God that a lot of people play. How many here, I'm not gonna ask, don't please don't raise your hand, but I don't wonder how many people here were in clubs last night. You're out dancing and drinking and here you are. Wander back into the house of the Lord just to make sure we're all still here and you didn't get left behind in the rapture or something. Live right. Live right. If God is God, serve Him. Psalm 119 from 1 to 8 says it this way, blessed are the undefiled in the way who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies and seek Him with their whole heart. They do not do iniquity. They walk in His ways. Blessed means indwelt by God and fully satisfied. That's the definition actually of the word. Thou has commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. The psalmist says oh that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes. Then shall I not be ashamed. That means then I will not be triumphed over when I have respect to all thy commandments. Then will I stand in other words. Then will I have a testimony. Then will there be passion in my voice. There will be strength in my step. There will be light in my eyes. There'll be power in my presence because God will be with me. Then when I make the choice to study the Word of God and by the power of God to walk in it and to do what God says. When I make the choice to do these things I will not be triumphed over. Then I will praise you with uprightness of heart when I've learned of your righteous judgments. Then I will come into the house of the Lord and it won't be up to the band or the choir to crank up this old rusty engine to get me praising. But I'll have a living presence of God inside of me. I'll have a testimony. I'll be able to raise my hands. It doesn't matter if the curtain rises or or falls. I'll be able to raise my hands and say God thank you for keeping me. Thank you for making a difference in my life and through my life in the workplace and in the environments I found myself in. And whether or not it was at a soup kitchen and I stood up and I just had words of life and encouragement for the people. God thank you. Thank you Lord for bringing my sons and my daughters home. Thank you God for reaching out into the far reaches of my family. Lord thank you God for drawing me into the prayer closet and putting passion and power into my prayers. Thank you Lord for making me what I could never be and taking me where I could never go. Oh God then I will praise you with uprightness of heart when I have learned your righteous judgments. When I've made the choice to live right and to walk right and to do right in the kingdom of God. Oh he said I will keep your statutes in verse 8. Oh forsake me not utterly. Which means oh God, God don't walk away from me. Don't take your Holy Spirit from me David cried out. The king even when he had made tragic mistakes he knew his one source of life and strength and joy was the power of the Holy Spirit upon him. That's why David would cry oh God give me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Lord these things that I've done I've done them against you and I've done despite to the spirit of grace that you've given me. But oh God I could afford to lose everything and I think at this crisis moment in David's life he knew that everything could be taken away but the one thing he dared not lose was the presence of Christ in his life the power of the Holy Spirit. I believe with all my heart that you and I must take back the blessing of God promised to our homes and our families. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel but on a candlestick and it gives light to all that are in the house. To all that are in your house folks if you are living for Christ the presence of Christ in your life will bring light into your house. Now doesn't matter if your children are still under your roof or not. You might say pastor you don't understand my house is a mess and I don't know how to do this. Well you start by living right and then God begins to speak to you. Your sons and daughters may not be under your roof but you have the power fathers that are here today to make a difference. Didn't Malachi say in the last days God would turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the children to their fathers? Well that's the Word of God and that's the day we're living in. You may not have seen your son or your daughter for years and you might even be here today and say but you don't get it it was just a one-night stand but that I don't I don't care how it started that's still your son that's still your daughter. You have a moral obligation to do something about it to be involved in that young person's life whether you can go there physically or whether you can call or write a card whatever you do. Folks it's time to let the light of God shine in our homes in verse 16 says let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven. The good works really means the things that only God could do. It's not so much there are good works we can do we can carry groceries to an apartment building for a senior we can do there are things we can do and people can see it and they can say that is nice but there are things that people outside the kingdom of God can't do these are these are works that only God could do let let your light so shine before man that people see something happening in you that only God could do something happening in your character something happening in your behavior something happening in your conversation your demeanor the way you carry yourself something happening in your work ethic in the workplace something is happening that nobody but God could could have done and because you have a desire to glorify him Jesus said let this light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father now if it's something we could do you and I could do then it could bring glory to us but if it's something only God could do if it's a change of character if it's a change of attitude a change of behavior a change of conversation a change of action most people would look and say but only I know you don't have the strength to do that Jesus said live this way be light where you are that men may see this work of God in you and it will bring glory to your father which is in heaven but it starts with a choice I find I find in this generation that we're living in maybe it's because Christianity was so watered down in so many places maybe it's because there are seemingly so many options if this gospel seems so hard today you can go home turn on television and get something not so hard and say okay that's I like that better I'm not sure why it is but I believe with all my heart that just as Jonathan did in 1st Samuel chapter 14 you and I must rise up in our generation for the glory of God there was an army of 30,000 chariots 6,000 warriors and it's scripture says people as numerous as the sand on the seashore that came up against the testimony of God and this is the pattern of history this will always be the pattern of history there was a leadership under Saul over the people that had lost touch with God Saul was not praying he was not living right he was a fearful man and he could not lead the people of God in this crisis that they were facing suddenly his son Jonathan one day just said I've had enough of this I'm paraphrasing for him but I know what was in his heart I've had enough of the powerlessness there were 600 against hundreds of thousands they had only two swords in the entire camp of Israel and the rest were most likely farming implements because the Philistines didn't let them have swords Jonathan had a sword and his father Saul had a sword and Jonathan finally came to the place where he said well if God's put a sword I have one of the only two swords left in the nation right now as far as they know and if God put it in my hand that I'm going to use it for his glory my brother my sister I'm telling you God put something in your hand when he saved you but there's a point where you've got to make a choice to get up and use it for his glory you can't sit there and polish it you can't just dust it off once a week and wave it around in church to let everybody know you still have a sword there's a there's a point where you're saying God if if you put this the spirit of Christ inside of me if you gave me this great salvation if you've given me the sword of the spirit God there Jesus there has to be a purpose for this I've got to get up and get out of this powerlessness I've got to get up out of this place where everybody is just sitting around wondering what to do and Jonathan thought came into his mind he turned to his armor-bearer he said let's go fight with the Philistines he said it the Lord doesn't need an army he just needs somebody who believes him and he can defeat the whole thing you know you and it starts with a revelation that God can do so much more through your life if you choose to live it in a manner that will honor him he can do so much more than you even think or ask or have ever been told he's he's not limited by your abilities or lack thereof Jonathan didn't have the natural strength to win this battle and the scripture says he climbed up onto a small hill that was being held by the enemy and he had to go up on his hands and knees and he had to face mockery and when you make a choice to let your life be used for God you'll have to face this mockery some of its out of your own heart and some of its demonic and some of its some friends that know you but you'll have to face it but you got to go through it you got to press through it you know we sing that song take me past the outer court take me through what other people have to say even about God and take me into that holy of holies take me into that place where God's presence and power are for me for my life let my life be used for the glory of God and Jonathan climbed up on his hands and knees one sword between the two of them and the shield in the hands of his armor-bearer and who knows what else he might have had a pitchfork or a rake I don't know what he had but it must have it must have looked it must have looked pathetic to the powers of darkness to the to the Philistines but not to the demonic powers that were behind them the demonic powers knew that something was happening here that could defeat their whole kingdom one more time in history one man and his armor-bearer had laid hold of God again you see Jonathan brought God into the battle and when you when you bring God into your battle when you bring God into your workplace when you bring God into your situation when you bring when you make the choice to be live a life that honors him when you take the sword for his purposes and you bring God into the battle I'm telling you according to James in the New Testament the Devils believe in tremble the Devils knew this is not good news for us because somebody is bringing God into the battle also all Saul had was strategy he was a he was a master strategizer and what a mess it had gotten him and the people of God into all he could he was always behind no matter what God was doing Saul was always trailing it he could never never get ahead of it never figure it out Jonathan walks up the hill and faces twenty men on a half acre of ground he and his armor-bearer defeats them then the Bible tells us something incredible it said a sudden shudder a shudder went through now you got a picture in the valley of hundreds of thousands of people that have gathered to fight against 600 it's not a battle that's even debatable the outcomes not even debatable in the natural but the scripture says a shudder suddenly came through the entire camp now I want to suggest to you that there wasn't time for the report to get through hundreds of thousands of people and who would much care if 20 people had fallen on a hillside when you've got that many no it really wasn't the people it's the demonic power behind them remember Paul said you're not fighting against flesh and blood but powers and principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places when Jonathan stepped up onto that small place that half acre and took that ground in the power of the Holy Spirit it sent a shudder through hell literally the Philistines had sent companies of spoilers now spoilers are raiding parties the raiding parties go out into various strata's of the country and they start burning and pillaging little groups of people little towns to strike terror literally into the hearts of the people and the script now these these spoilers would not even be close to the battle and the scripture says a shudder came to the spoilers as well a terror hit them because God was in the battle again folks there's great hope for this country if you and I can realize that if we're willing to bring God back into the battle one more time and then the scripture tells us that the these Philistines started fighting with one another suddenly and started beating on one another and started killing one another literally and literally fleeing into the wilderness and Saul is looking and he sees this he doesn't know why it's happening he has no idea he had enough sense to say to a man close to me said do account and see who left us he had enough sense to know it wasn't happening because of his leadership that somebody had left them because God was now in the fight and everything he read about everything he'd known should have been his is now happening before his eyes because he has a son that is willing to take the sword of the Spirit of God and fight for the honor of God again I think that you and I need to send a shudder through hell again and we we begin it by making the choice to live right if you don't make that choice then forget everything I've preached today it doesn't apply to you you're going to continue in sin if I regard iniquity in my heart David said the Lord will not hear me pray all you want sing your heart out it's all it's all in vain you know different than the guy that stores the drugs in his barn and considers it a blessing of God I'm serious I'm I'm not trying to be light but I'm trying to get the point across this is not a message for the light-hearted this is a message for people ordinary people like you and I were just willing to say at this juncture in history at the time we're living in I'm going to live for God I'm going to I'm going to trust him if I'm in a prison I'm going to trust him for the keys to get out if I'm being dragged around by old wounds I'm going to trust him for the healing I'm going to where I am in and I need to get out of I'm going to trust him for the strength to do it I'm going to get up and I'm going to let this life be used for the honor of God and by the grace of God within me I'm going to be salt and I'm going to be light as Jesus said I'm supposed to be in my generation I'm not going to be a marginal player stuck on the sidelines somewhere my flashlight doesn't work and people are trampling on my testimony no sir not for me not for my life I'm going to stand up for God and whatever that means for my life this is a call for for this is a call for for men again for women again of God who are willing to get up out of the powerlessness that the Christian church has found itself in in our generation and say this is I'm not living I'm not staying here I'm done with just seminars and talk about God and his kingdom I'm going to get up and get into the battle and God's going to be glorified through my life one more time in history you and I have the power to send a shutter through hell again if we get up and let and bring God into the battle and he won't walk with us if he's not agreed with us he doesn't expect us to be perfect just honest just sincere you make the choice and if you fall down the scripture says seven times you'll pick you back up again walk with him just walk with him walk with him make the choice I'm going to do this God's way there's enough people in this auditorium today to revolutionize the city of New York God only had a hundred and twenty in the original church and it changed the whole known world of their day even Rome had to acquiesce in a sense to the the gospel of Jesus Christ even those who consider themselves God had to bend their knee and acknowledge there was a God greater than them folks if we just could lay hold of this I'm not willing just to read it in history I'm not willing just to go to the book of Acts and say my my wasn't that marvelous what God did for them back then what God did for Jonathan in the book of Samuel when Jesus Christ is the same today yesterday and forever I'm not willing to bow down to the mockery and the threats even of my own heart by the grace of God my life is going to make a difference by God's grace your life will make a difference if we make the choice make the choice my friend don't flood your mind with foolishness don't flood your mind with things that have no profit to the kingdom of God flood your mind with the Word of God flood your mind with a desire to bring honor to his name again and by God's grace get up and fight by God's grace do something in this generation hallelujah I want to give an altar call this morning for those who just simply want to send a shutter through hell because there's still time to do something you get right with God that's the most important thing of all get right with God make a determination today that Christ is my Savior this is my guide this word and I'm going to live by this and then follow and do what God tells you to do from that point forward and you and I one day I promise you one thing if you'll take this to heart there is a day coming where we will dance in the streets of New York City for what God has done I know this in my heart we'll go outside we'll clap we'll dance we'll say only the Lord could have done this only the Lord could have done this what do you think the 600 people did when they saw the Philistine army of hundreds of thousands fleeing out of the valley leaving a wake of spoil with them that there would be no other song but only God could have done this how else could this have happened oh folks if we can realize one more time that God delights in taking the weak and the foolish and the nothings and the nobodies and that's what I am and that's what you are and one more time well how many times do we have to hear it he sews us all together and casts a huge net over New York City that's what he wants to do in this generation and by God's grace I'm in the battle by God's grace I'm going to be part of what the Lord is going to do in this generation and I encourage you to get in the fight yourself by the grace of God by the grace of God by the grace of God hallelujah it's time to send a shudder through hell in our generation let's stand together if that's your cry if that's the call of your life come join me at this altar please and we're going to pray and believe the Lord to do that through you those who need to get right with God please get down here quickly make the choice make the choice men and women make the choice I'm going to live for God and trust him for the strength let that go so deep if you don't you and I don't see the greatness of God then we can never get out of our struggle you've got to see the greatness of God we have to understand that how great is his love how great is his mercy how great is his power how great is his plan and if you could just ask the Lord as we sing one more song say Jesus would you just unfold your plan for me could could I just see a glimpse of what you want to do and would you give me the heart to believe you God how great you are God only knows who's here at this altar we could have senators and congressmen and women here we don't know you don't know we got a great evangelist who could touch parts of this country if the only thing that stops it is our limited view of God and we got to look away from ourselves and just see how great he is you've got to see him in his greatness you've got to understand that in your weakness that's what he delights in using that's the person he seeks and selects is not our choice is God's choice and so just ask for that great that view of God as we sing this one more song please glory to you glory to you Lord Jesus father we thank you today Oh God you are putting a great and exceeding army on its feet by the power of the Holy Spirit because Jesus is our Savior Oh thank you Oh God send the Holy Spirit to this army thank you God you take people that are dead Oh God and seemingly defeated and by the power of the Holy Spirit you alone Oh God put an army on its feet to live right Jesus your Savior we look to you now for the power to live right we look for you to you for the power to change Oh God and you shall not disappoint us Oh God we will not be a people Oh God because we live in mercy and we live in grace we will be put on our feet in an exceeding great army Lord this city shall feel the impact of your Holy Spirit and of a people who believe you Oh God thank you Lord please increase our capacity to believe you please increase our capacity to receive the Holy Spirit please increase our capacity God in a day when the enemy tells us we're defeated we're a failure we're weak that we will remember our God is greater our God is stronger hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah Lord hallelujah by the power of the Holy Spirit we receive what you are saying today we will receive the power to live right to change and to glorify God though we fall seven times Lord we will get up because Jesus loves us and Jesus is for us we thank you for today and we receive what you have said and what you are doing thank you it's a new day in you Lord Jesus and you shall get the glory for it is you and we love you hallelujah thank you a man and a man praise God please get this message out to as many Christian people as you know you can either do that online just or Twitter tweet or whatever you do on your phones and just encourage people to get to listen to this message you can come in our website and listen to it or you can burn hard copies and get it out to as many people as you know let's believe God for a sweep of grace in our time Lord we thank you we praise you God with all our heart Lord we are not following the devices of men we're hearing something from you Lord and we're responding to your initiative Lord I thank you God you're going to give us all the capacity for faith and thank you for it with all my heart let this be a different day let it be the beginning of something profound for many who are gathered at this altar today and Lord we thank you God for it with all our hearts in Jesus name amen and amen God bless you
