Then 14 years after, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas and took Titus with me also. And I went up by Revelation. I want to stop right there. I went up to Jerusalem by Revelation. Going or walking by Revelation. Heavenly Father, I pray for an anointing this morning. Thank you for this Christmas day. Thank you, Jesus, for coming, taking on the form of man, and dying for us. Transforming us, translating us out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Spirit of the living God, come upon this congregation as we hear the word. Give us ears to hear what the Spirit has to say. Give us hearing ears. Lord, anoint me. Sanctify me. I humble myself before you and ask you to sanctify me. Purge me from all iniquity. And Lord, give me a purity and a holiness. And let the word come forth from your very womb. God, from your heart, I pray, Lord, that you speak through me. Anoint me. Lord, help us to understand what the Spirit is saying this morning. Get the word into our hearts. Lord, that this service will mark us and change us in a wonderful way, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Paul is saying, 14 years after, this is after his conversion, 14 years later, I went up again, this is his second trip to Jerusalem, I went up again to Jerusalem, and I went, I went by Revelation. And if you had bumped into Paul, you were coming this way, and Paul's going towards Jerusalem, and you say, Paul, the great apostle, and you say to him, why are you going up to Jerusalem, you have your ministry, there's no one there that can add anything to you, you know God's anointing is on you, you've been called to the Gentiles and they to the Jews, why are you going up to Jerusalem? And he'd say, the answer's very simple, I'm going up because God told me to. I'm going up by Revelation, God spoke to my heart, I was praying and God said, go to Jerusalem, I don't know why, but I'm going up by Revelation. And he would have also told you, if you read the scripture and you read his epistles, you'll know what he would have said, I not only live my life by Revelation, but every word I preach is preached by Revelation of the Holy Spirit. I don't preach to please man. I don't care what man says. I get along with God, I spent two years in Arabia, and God saw fit to reveal Jesus in me, not to me, but in me. I have a revelation in me, and I speak my revelation, I don't speak anything of man, and Paul would have told you, do I seek to please men? For if I please men, I would not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, or I assure you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ, for it pleased God to reveal his Son in me. Paul boasted, he could have boasted, rather, of his great learning, he could have told you about all his book knowledge, he was a Pharisee among Pharisees, he knew the law, every detail of the law, he was a man who was very zealous for the things of God, but Paul the Apostle said, I had to put that all aside, I considered all as dung, rubbish. I had to unlearn all of that, it had nothing to do with my ministry. And what I preach to you, he said, does not come out of some book. I didn't borrow it from another man, and I don't preach it to please men, I hear from God, and I preach by revelation. I picked up a book about two weeks ago by Paschal, Paschal's Pensies, and T.S. Eliot, one of my favorite writers, said that this is one book that every minister ought to read. And he said, in fact, T.S. Eliot said, I know of no other religious writer more pertinent to our time, or more to be commended than Paschal. This was a great French scientist, a genius, but he also had a heart for God and he loved the Lord, but he was also a human philosopher. And I picked up the book and very excited, I thought, boy, I really, I went into my study, big smile on my face, and I thought, I'm going to spend the next five hours just devouring this, because T.S. Eliot said that this every preacher should read, and this has got to be great, here's the great French genius, a great theologian as well, and I got into that book the first hour, I read a few powerful, profound words, very profound, and the more I read, about the second hour, my heart began to sink, and it got lower and lower after about three hours, I threw it down, totally depressed, because they were words, words borrowed from other theologians, words borrowed, many of them original, but you could tell he borrowed from Montague and some other French philosophers, and it left me empty, absolutely empty, because they were the words of man, they were not a revelation, there was no revelation in it from the heart of God, the man was not speaking something, he would sit and think these things through, and it came out of his mind, profound thoughts, and you go to churches today and you can hear profound preaching, I mean very profound and it sounds good, it sounds interesting, but it leaves you empty and dry, because it didn't come from the heart of God, it was not a revelation, there were so many revelations given to this man, in fact, there was a danger of pride setting in, and Paul said, unless I should be exalted above measure, through the abundance of the revelations given to me, there was also given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, unless I should be exalted above measure, and it is a dangerous thing when you walk by revelation and you hear the heart of God, it's a very dangerous thing that pride can set in, and God saw this even in the great apostle Paul, now here's Paul, an ordinary flesh and blood man, and he's talking about walking by revelation and preaching by revelation, and we think to ourselves, well, now that's fine, but that's the apostle Paul, that kind of walk where you don't act, you don't move until you hear from God, and you move in an assurance, and you move by revelation, now revelation, the word revelation in Greek means taking the lid off, that's all it is, taking the lid off, that which is hidden, God takes the lid off for certain people who are shot in with him, and he just takes out all the questions, and it's a disclosure of the will and the heart of God, it's the disclosure of the mind of God, the will of God, he discloses, he takes the lid off, and he exposes it, he makes it clear, and you say, well, now that's only for apostles and prophets, but how can an ordinary Christian like me live that kind of walk, in fact, Amos 3.7 says, surely the Lord will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret unto his servants, the prophets, you say, aha, see, there it is, he reveals his secrets only to prophets, now folks, God does work through certain servants of his, both men and women who have been shot in with God, he has his true prophets who speak prophetically, there is a revealed prophetic word of God, God never sends judgment on any society, he's never judged at any time in history, until he has sent prophets, and watchmen, and he has warned, and warned, never has God sent judgment, and folks, I want you to listen to me, please, God still has his prophets in these days, true prophets, and I'll tell you how you can recognize a true prophet, it's one that you can't recognize, because he or she doesn't go around saying, I'm a prophet, or I'm a prophetess, we've got a million people running around in charismatic circles, I have had more prophets curse me, because I won't believe they're prophets, because they babble nonsense, they've just got something in their head, they've got some kind of impression, and they believe every impression that comes along, I don't believe every impression that comes into my mind, I believe what I hear after I've been shot in with God, I've cleansed my heart before him, and I'm sanctified, and I'm waiting before him, and there's a message he wants to reveal, I hear that, but I don't believe every impression I get in my mind, some people got an impression they're prophets and prophetesses, I had one woman from a certain state come here, there were a delegation of about five, one called himself an apostle, the other was a deaconess, and the other was a prophetess, and they had all names, they divided the five offices among them, and one gave an utterance that I didn't feel was of the Lord, so we didn't let it go on, and after the service, called me back here, and says, how dare you stop me, I'm a prophetess, how dare, and I mean I saw five angry people ready to chew me up, I thought if that was God, where is the meekness, where is the love, I'm his servant too, and the apostle sent me the next day a two-page warning, that God's going to get me, and that's the way these new prophets are, they are full of wrath, and they are full of judgment, they have no mercy, they have no grace, but God has his true prophetic voice, he has those who don't care to be known, they care nothing for fame, they're not trying to be recognized, these are praying people, we have them in this congregation, there's some of you right here now, balcony in the main floor right here, you are not a prophet, you're not a prophetess, but God speaks to you, you hear the warnings of the Holy Spirit, you know that something's awesome coming to this nation, God speaks to you in prayer about judgment, he's told you things you may dare not tell anybody, they may think you're crazy, but God's been speaking to your heart, and folks there's a darkness creeping over America, a deep dark darkness, a horrible darkness, there's not an American that doesn't sense in themselves, that something cataclysmic is coming, they know it's coming in the economy, they know judgment is at the door, everywhere you go, I was listening to the news yesterday, they were at the Chicago airport interviewing people, because so many airlines had shut down, because of problems with the planes, they were interviewing these people, aren't you afraid to get on that plane, and one after another, people were saying, are you going to die, it's the quickest way to go, no thought of God, not a word, and just absolutely bereft of God, and I got to thinking, the darkness that is coming on this land, where people don't fear death, they don't fear judgment, they don't fear God, there's no fear of God in the land, we have pushed God out of everything, here in Connecticut, did you hear what happened, a little town in Connecticut for 115 years, has had a little manger scene, and this year had to stop it, because they were being sued, for the first time in 150 years, they couldn't put up the little manger scene, and all over America, from coast to coast, the atheistic forces, are trying to even drive away manger scenes, any sign of Jesus, any semblance of religion, drive it out of the schools, out of our government, out of society, and even off the courtyard scenes, little mangers, incredible, MTV television, is nothing but a devil's revival meeting, it's a satanic revival meeting, I'm talking about that which is bringing darkness, this dense darkness is settling over the land, horrible darkness, you can feel it, last night after the service, and after a time over fellowship, over at Broadway Chapel, I went home, and all my life, I've not felt such an eerie sense, so many people, Christmas Eve, just roaming the streets, drunkards, prostitutes, drug addicts, and there was an eerie, horrible sense, hanging in the air, and I could feel, just breathing, through my spirit, God speaking, the judgment was near, but the sense of darkness, absolute darkness, here's MTV, all of our kids, a whole generation of kids, who are listening to the devil's revival meeting, and this is not subtle devil worship, it's blatant in your face devil worship, it's outright blasphemy against everything that's holy, everything that's pure, it's a blasphemy that includes cursing, they sing about killing cops, they sing about sexual promiscuity, they sing about raping, anything goes, they use four letter words in their songs, and here's a whole generation, idolizing MTV, and folks, we drive God out, we bring MTV in, and the darkness just gathers stronger, and it's a darkness now that you can feel, it's a darkness that can be felt, and my point is this, in a time of darkness, we have got to have a prophetic voice, we have got to have the revelation, the secret of God, so that the people of God are not taken unawares, folks, we have horrible prophecies coming out, I believe in the spirit of prophecy, I believe in the spirit of revelation, I believe it's a spirit, and I'll show you from the scripture, how Paul prayed that God would give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation, the knowledge of him, but the problem is today, the devil is trying to destroy the true prophetic voice, by bringing in all kinds of false voices, so that when the true word comes, you won't believe it, so that's just another crazy, off the wall prophecy, folks, do you remember, the books that have come out in the past five years, they said Jesus was going to come in 1988, I mean, I had people all over the United States write to me, saying, why aren't you standing with this man, he's saying, Jesus is coming in 1988, and then, we had another man say that, he was coming, what, last September 1994, I mean, that swept the whole world, he was coming in 1994, I have a book in my library, that Khrushchev was the antichrist, I don't even know where Khrushchev is now, I have another book, on Gorbachev, and he had a little mark up here, a preacher wrote a whole book called, The Mark of the Beast, and Gorbachev was the Mark of the Beast, here's the newest one, his name is Gong, Vladimir Zeronovsky, and this prophecy, is that this man is the antichrist, and that he's going to come to power, and he's going to come down, and take over Israel, now this man is antisemitic, but what's this preacher going to do, if this man is not voted in, or if he dies or is killed, there's a whole book on it, and people believe it, and they all send these books to me, I get them from everybody, why me, I don't know, I get them all, this is very convincing, I read it, but you see, God's not going to let us get caught by surprise, but you brethren are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief, you are the children of light, and the children of the day, we are not of the night, we are not of darkness, I want to tell you something, I thank God, for the revelation preaching that's coming from this pulpit, I hear it from those who stand with me, I know God moves on my heart, I know I've stood here, obeyed him prophetically, and I believe in the months to come, there'll be a prophetic word that comes, and you can thank God, I pity those who go to church, my boast is in Jesus and his faithfulness, not in man, it has nothing to do with us, it has to be open to the Holy Spirit, not be afraid of the prophetic word of the Lord, but I dread to think of those who sit in dead churches, who despise prophecies, and don't want to hear the prophetic word of God, they don't want to hear anything about doom, or gloom, or the coming judgment, they just want to sit and hear about the mercy and the love of Jesus, they don't want anything about the wrath of God, or the judgment of God, or God dealing with sin, folks, I would rather sit under a pastor who loved me, and reproved me, and drove me to the cross of Jesus, and then got up and told me the secrets of God, because he was shut in the secret closet, and came out with the word of the Lord, and warned you the judgment was at the door, God said you're not the children of the night, you're the children of the light, and he's the light, and he will not, when the Holy Ghost comes, he will not hide the secrets of the Lord, he'll not hide what's coming, you'll be warned, and you've been warned from this pulpit many, many times, you've been warned of this city being in flames, a thousand fires burning all over this city, now it doesn't mean the destruction of New York, but it means it's going to bring a time where everybody's going to know the hand of God, everybody's going to know that God is displeased, everybody's going to have an opportunity to repent, and turn to the Lord, you see Daniel walked in Revelation, his very life was walked in Revelation, this praying man said, in fact I want you to turn to Daniel, second chapter, Daniel, now if you've got to Ezekiel, you're too far left, turn right, it's right after Ezekiel, for our new converts, and it's just before Hosea, alright Daniel the second chapter, start at verse 20, Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his, and he changeth the times and the seasons, he removeth kings and setteth up kings, he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding, verse 22, he revealeth the deep and secret things, he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him, you see the setting of this story, King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, he knows it was an awesome dream, but he couldn't remember the details, he's asking all his wise men to tell him what the dream was, they said well tell us the dream, we'll interpret it, he said I don't remember the dream, you tell me what I dreamed, well no man can do that, King Nebuchadnezzar represents this modern society, King Nebuchadnezzar said where can I find a man who can interpret what's coming, how can I hear a voice that's clear, I need a revelation, and that's what we hear in our society now, where are we going to hear a true voice of what's about to happen, you hear that everywhere, what's God going to do, what's in the future, who can interpret these times, and he places this burden on Daniel, and it's an amazing thing, Daniel says he knoweth what is in the darkness, and folks our God knows what's in the darkness that's sweeping this country, he knows everything that's happening, nothing is hidden from him, he's not going to be taken by surprise by anything, Daniel asked for a little time, he said Nebuchadnezzar please give me a little time, he goes back to his three Hebrew brothers, brothers in the Lord, and they begin to seek the face of God, they pour their heart out to God, oh God we are just flesh, but you reveal the deep secret things, you know what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with you, God shed your light, take the lid off of this secret, and the Bible says, that then was the secret revealed to Daniel in a night vision, in fact Daniel had been told you'll die, and your Hebrew friends will die, unless you give me an interpretation of this dream that I had, you say well now that's amazing, that a man could go to God, and God would reveal his secret, and reveal this man's dream, but does God work like that in New Testament times, does God reveal the secret deep things of his heart in these days, to his servants, absolutely positively yes, let me read to you, don't turn, but let me read to you, John 16.13, when he the spirit of truth has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come, he revealed God's heart, he revealed the secrets of God, you see when Holy Ghost comes in congregation, he takes the lid off of everything, everything that's hidden comes to light, hidden sin comes to light, that's what the Holy Spirit does, he exposes sin, but he also lets God's people know, what the future holds, Paul declares that there's a spirit of wisdom and revelation, and he said that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of him, now I spoke of Paul going up to Jerusalem by revelation, and most of us would like to walk that way, we'd like to hear God say, go here, go there, do this, don't do that, and have that word behind you, every moment of the waking hours, this is the way, walk you in it, we want that, we desire it, and there have been many people who've learned to live that way, they've become very sensitive to the Holy Spirit, I have a book by a man who talks about walking that kind of walk, and his friends claim he walks that way, he even asks the Lord directions in the morning when he gets up, what to eat so he won't disturb his body, and so he can be at his best for the Lord, he talks to God about everything, he just lives that way, and he's learned to become very very sensitive to the Holy Spirit, there may be some of you here right now, you've become sensitive to the Holy Spirit's voice, and he leads you and directs you in very clear ways, I know I stand here this morning, preaching in this church, by being led by revelation, I can tell you the time of the day, when I stood down at 42nd Street, by revelation from God, come to New York City, and start a church, I came by revelation, it was revealed mind of God to my heart, it came after hours and days and weeks and even months of prayer, seeking the face of God, and I came here by revelation, we're in this theater by revelation, there is a walk of faith, there is a walk, now you can be tested on that, because if you get to thinking you're infallible, then God will just let a whole lot of stuff blow up in your face, and you'll see how dependent you are upon the Holy Ghost, but you see, that's not the ultimate revelation, you can have such clear direction, go here, go there, do this, do that, and still go up to Jerusalem bound in your spirit, you can still be miserable with guilt and fear, you can have unbelief, you can be clearly led of the Holy Spirit, but still not have the ultimate revelation, you have the revelation of where to go, how to go and direction, but you're miserable, because something has been settled, you have not received the ultimate revelation, and when you get the ultimate revelation, this other happens naturally, you don't even have to pray for a revelation of where to go, whether I go to Jerusalem at this time or not, it'll come naturally, it'll be just the outgrowth of this ultimate revelation, I want to talk to you about this ultimate revelation, this greater revelation, is not just who Jesus is, it's not just being intimate with Jesus, there are many of us that have prayed, Oh God, show me the majesty of Jesus, show me His power, show me His greatness, and some of you have had that kind of revelation, I know what it's like to have a revelation of the beauty of Jesus, His holiness, His righteousness come upon me, when I was a younger man especially, and just fall down on my face, and unable to move, just enraptured by His glory and His grace, try to get up and I can feel His gentle hand push me right back down, and I get up, and I wanted the touch of His hand was so beautiful, I get up purposely just to feel His hand again, and down I go, I mean, it was not a physical touch, it was a spiritual touch, the spirit of the Lord, His touch was so thrilling, and I'll tell you, when I finally got up and it wasn't there anymore, I felt very sad, because it was such glory, and I've seen some of that, but you can have the revelation of the greatness of Jesus, the beauty of Christ, the glory of Christ, His holiness, and still be miserable, because that only shows you how high and holy He is, and it shows you how low and unholy you are, it just shows you the distance, that He is so much other than you and me, see folks, the greater revelation, it's not direction, the greater revelation is not where to go, when to go, who to go to, and all these details of our life, and it's not just going to Him and saying, I want to intimately know you and who you are, Jesus, and I've prayed that many times, the ultimate revelation is this, understanding and knowing that I am His prized possession, it's understanding who I am in Jesus, it's understanding what the power of the cross has worked for me, that I don't have to live my life in fear, that at the cross of Jesus Christ, He purchased me with His own blood, and because He purchased me with His own blood, He's not about to give up on me, and He's going to take care of His possession, because it cost Him His own blood, I am blood bought, I am purchased by His blood, not only am I purchased by His blood, but He went to glory to protect His investment, He intercedes for me before my heavenly Father, and I'll tell you what, I am convinced that He's going to keep what He bought with His own blood, He's going to keep it, and not only that, He said, I'm going to heaven, I'm going to glory, and while you're here, I'm going to be up there busy on your behalf, I'm making a place for you, I'm preparing a place for you, that where I am, I'm going to come again for you, now if Jesus told me He's going to come for me, He's sure going to keep me until He gets here, do you have a revelation about the riches of His glory in you? I want you to turn to Ephesians 1, and see the greater revelation, Ephesians the first chapter, let's start with verse 17, This is the end of side 1, you may now turn the tape over to side 2, Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom, and revelation, what? In the knowledge of Him, now here's the revelation, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, or illuminated, in other words God taking the lid off, that you may know, what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance, in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the work of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, now look at me please, before I close I want to talk to you about position and condition, and here's the revelation I want you to receive, and folks if you receive it, you can go through anything, you can stand any onslaught of the devil, when you know your position in Jesus Christ, my position means that this is how God looks at me, not how I look at myself, I look at my condition, God looks at my position, my position is in Christ Jesus, because I've confessed my sins, and I've turned to Him with all my heart, and my Bible says that God sees only one man, that's the man Christ Jesus, Jesus gathered up all those who believe in Him, and took Him right to the right hand of the Father, now folks that's God's view of me, God sees me as in Christ, seated where Christ is, Christ is right now at the right hand of the Father, means in the seat of authority, His all power and dominion, God's right now bringing all enemies to be His footstool, bringing all His enemies under control, but in the meantime, I can't understand that, but God sees me seated with Christ, in heavenly places, that's my position, He looks at me as a king, He looks at me as a priest, He looks at me as a son, He looks at me as the apple of His eye, that's my position, through the blood of Jesus, Jesus set us in that position, keep your eye on the position you're in, your position is where? At the throne of God, seated with Jesus Christ, you say oh, brother Dave, how can God love me, how can God see me like that because of my weakness, see we're focused on our condition, our condition is one of weakness and failure, our condition is one of overwhelming temptations, our condition is often cold hearted or lukewarm, neglect, if you look at your condition, you'll never have faith, you'll never have peace, I don't look inside this heart anymore, I examine myself in the light of what God says I am, when He says examine yourself, examine yourself in the light of what God says about you, Paul says I don't look back, why would I go deep sea diving and dig up my own sins, I'm an heir and a joint heir with Jesus Christ God said, His word has given me a position and if I keep my eye on that position, let me tell you something, this morning as I was praying about this message, I'm looking out over the city, I don't know how many of you saw the rainbow, anybody see that rainbow, I had somebody come backstage and they saw a beautiful rainbow, it was just right over the river in New Jersey, and Holy Spirit spoke to my heart, I was praying about this message, He said David, don't hear audible voices, this is that still small voice of the Spirit, the Father said to me, I am not a fickle father, like men, like human fathers, my love is steady, no matter what condition you're in, my love is steady, and it's firm, it's everlasting, it's eternal, He's not a fickle father, He's faithful, folks there are times that I've sat in that seat, I don't think I can get up and preach, I don't feel good, I feel defeated, not because of some flaunted sin or anything like this, but just feeling not right, not feeling an anointing, not feeling anything good in me, feeling unworthy, and I'll tell you what happens, when that comes to me, I've learned, I sit there in that seat, and say oh God, You're my Father, You have loved me, and You told me years ago when You called me when I was just 8 years old, that You'd keep Your hand on me as long as I lived, You told me that I was enveloped in Your hand, and I stand against every argument of the flesh, and of the devil, and I stand on the living word of God, and it's when I take that stand of faith, of who I am in Jesus Christ, I am redeemed, and no matter how I feel, folks you'll never feel right, you'll never, if you try to get there by feelings, you'll never make it, because if you were absolutely perfect, in your flesh, you could say like Saul did, Paul did after his conversion from Saul, that he was blameless in the law, you could be blameless in so many many things, and still not be right, you would still be haunted by your flesh, you would still have lies of the devil coming at you from all sides, stand in your position in Jesus Christ, I am redeemed by the blood, and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ the righteous, now folks if you take that as an excuse to sin, that's what Paul warns again, he said shall we sin that grace may abound, God forbid, he said you don't even know the Lord, if you're going to take the preaching of the grace of God, as an excuse to stay in your sin, no because you see when you know your position in Jesus Christ, then you can call upon the Holy Ghost to come with power, and if you believe your position, you can believe for the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, he will come and sanctify you, cleanse you, he'll give you hatred for sin, but in the meantime God doesn't leave you, he doesn't forsake you, while you're working, while the Holy Ghost is working with you, to bring you, your condition will one day match your position, and that's the work of the Holy Spirit, to bring your condition up to the position that God has given you, but in this process of God bringing you into this, your condition meeting the position, he's faithful, that's where we all feel, we feel the guilt and the despair and the depression, because we know we failed God, we know we're not living up to our position in Christ, but folks this is the work of the Holy Spirit, when you failed him at that point, don't go back down, say Jesus cleanse me, sanctify me, I know you love me, you've seated me with Christ in heavenly places, I stand on my position with you Jesus, get your eyes off your condition, get them on the cross, that's your position, hallelujah, praise you Jesus, we are his purchased possession, and folks one thing I'm convinced of, if Jesus said I'm coming again to receive you unto myself, that's brought such peace to my heart, because I don't think the Lord built me a mansion, and put somebody else in it, I don't believe he's made me a whole book full of promises and break any of them, folks we're not going to make it, except by this revelation of who we are in Jesus Christ, that's the ultimate revelation, you see your position in Jesus Christ, you take your stand of faith in that, and then you can stand against all the wiles of Satan, and then folks this revelation, this gentle small voice of the Holy Spirit, prompting you, I have to have that, because brother Carter and all those of our staff, we have to have that, because so many many decisions are being made, I wouldn't want to be left to my own, I don't want to make my own decisions, I've made too many mistakes, and so have you, you've made a bundle of mistakes, folks when you know who you are in Christ, you take your stand of faith, and pray, pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, and what he's accomplished in his power and grace, and love and mercy in us, hallelujah, it's wonderful to see people walk in that kind of peace, this is a day of peace, he wants to give your soul wonderful peace today, I want you to stand, you know that one piece, piece, wonderful piece, coming down from the Father above, can we sing that, piece, piece, wonderful piece, coming down from the Father above, Lord, I pray, that you give me as a pastor, brother Carter, all our staff, all who preach in this pulpit, a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you, that you give this whole congregation, all those who love you, walk with you Lord, that spirit of wisdom, revelation, in the knowledge of who we are in Christ Jesus, hallelujah, Lord, release faith in this house this morning, I want you to repeat this after me, my position, in Jesus Christ, is secure, by faith, my condition, changes, but my position, doesn't change, if I believe, and walk by faith, I want you to remember that now, remember that, my position is secure in Christ, will you please get your eyes off flesh, get your eyes on the cross, and his keeping power, Lord keep us this Christmas, I pray that this next year, 1995, would be the most blessed year, that our people have ever experienced, may it be a year of joy, Lord, when there's, the darker the night, the more glorious the light, there's a light shining in Broadway, a glorious light, and you know what's in the darkness, you know what's coming, and you'll prepare us, oh God we won't walk in fear, we're going to walk in the joy of the Lord, you're going to give us peace and rest in the Holy Ghost, you're going to make us a people of wisdom, and revelation, we're going to walk before you righteously, before a Holy God, Lord I thank you because I anticipate, you coming forth on this pulpit this next year, with such power, and such a word, oh God, that's going to keep us, it's your word that blesses, it's your word that sets us free, hallelujah, your word is a lamp and a light in the darkness, God you're going to shine bright from this pulpit, you're going to shine bright from this congregation, Lord you're going to reveal what's coming to many people in this church, they're going to know, they're going to have that sense, already many that are standing here know what's coming to the economy, many have seen things and heard things just like Paul the apostle, things that are unutterable to others, but oh God help them to just ponder and keep it in their hearts and prepare, thank you for what you're doing in this house, if you're standing here this morning, balcony on the main floor, and you have turmoil in your heart, you're troubled, you have a troubled mind, and I'm giving an invitation by revelation right now, there's God speaking through me, because he wants to find you, he wants to focus in on you, and he wants to let you know he knows who you are, where you sit, and he wants to help you, but you're troubled in mind and spirit, there's been some confusion, and fear, and anxiety, and it's Christmas, but you know about this peace, but you don't have that rest and that peace in the Lord, now if you're backslidden, or you're cold, or lukewarm, I want you to get out of your seat and come here, if the spirit's drawing you, don't do it unless the spirit's drawing you, you say, brother Dave, I feel the Holy Spirit tugging at my heart today, up in the balcony, go to either end, down the stairs, come down any aisle, and we'll meet you right here, we'll wait for you, you feel that tug of the Holy Spirit, obey him, but especially if you have this, I don't know what it is, it's this troubled spirit, this something in your mind, just really bothering you, it's really gotten to you, bring it, bring it to the Lord, let's ask him to give peace, and rest, to your weary spirit, please, that's what I believe the Lord had me say to you, without faith, it's impossible to please him, so whatever you came up here for, you can't please him without faith, let's settle that, I can't please God, and that's why you're here, to please God, and to have him touch you, and to have him lift the burden from you, but nothing happens unless you give him faith, and the older I get, the longer I walk with Jesus, the more I realize that faith is the most important thing of all, to trust him, to believe his word, and to rest on it, and to act on it, and you're going to take a step of faith, God wants, he's not looking for a river of tears, he's not looking for promises, he's not looking for you to wail, and cry, and scream at him, because he's not deaf, he's right here, he said he's more willing to forgive than you are to confess, he said he's full of tender loving mercy, and he's kind, he said he's a nurse, he's a father, and he knows exactly what you're going through, but the one thing you've not been giving him is true childlike faith, confidence, that he's going to answer your prayers, he's going to see you through, now I'm going to lead you in a prayer, but you've got to believe that what you pray, God's going to hear, that God's going to answer, and you're going to act on it, and when you pray it, you're going to let it rest, you're going to say Jesus, I said it, I rest on it, and I'm going to believe you now, to keep your word, I know with everything in me, the Holy Spirit stands by, he just wants to come right now, and embrace you, and encourage you, because he's a comforter, the Holy Ghost isn't he, now what the Bible says he is, he's a comforter, can you believe that he'll come and comfort your spirit right now, you could walk away from this altar, and lay everything down that troubles your mind and your spirit, and lay it down, if you have a burden of sin, you lay it down, you can walk away free, without guilt, without fear, without condemnation, all you have to do, is mean it from your heart, Jesus, I lay my sin down, I confess it, and I ask you to help me forsake it, and give me the power and authority over it, work on my mind, work on my spirit, and help me Lord, to rest while you see me through, whatever I have to go through, the condition that you're in around your home, or job, may not change, but it'll change you, it'll give you a peace and a rest that you're not going to be troubled by, God wants to take care of this troubled spirit, I want you to just pray this with me, Jesus, let me hear it right loud, Jesus, I am troubled in spirit, and mind, and it's hurting, and I come to you Jesus, as my Lord, and I come to you Father, because you love me, and you've called me, I reach out to you now, with simple childlike faith, and I ask you to take my sins, my burdens, my problems, my troubles, take them, because I cast them on you, all my cares, because the Bible says, you care for me, and I believe that, with all my heart, I cast all my troubles, all my cares, all my fears, on you, right now, and when I walk away from here, I will not pick them up, I leave them with you, now clear my heart, clear my mind, and give me a baptism of peace, alright let me pray for you, Lord I pray that peace, that passes all understanding, will just fall, like rain, like gentle rain, arise like dew in our hearts, that this Christmas season, there can be great, great peace, God's gonna see me through, God's gonna see it, God's gonna see me through, God's gonna see me through, I want everyone that's trusting the Lord, heard your prayer right now, to raise your hand please, that came forward, raise your hand, keep it there for just a minute, say it with me, Jesus, I trust your word, and I'm not taking away, from this altar, anything I laid down, I laid at your feet, Lord take care of it, fix it Lord, you can fix anything, alright, now Jesus I thank you for what you're doing, I thank you for the word, I thank you for the faith, I sense that faith is arising in hearts, and I trust you, I trust this moment, I trust every one of these into your care, into your keeping power, this is the conclusion of the tape, we're to side two.
