A Prayer for Revival by David Guzik

Topic:
Scripture(s): Habakkuk 3:2
Description: Guzik illustrates how conversion of sinners follows transformation of life, which follows conviction of sin as the Spirit is poured out on the Church. It is an immensely practical teaching encouraging self-examination and personal restoration to broadening one's prayer life for others. He tackles theological debates on how revival comes, "Is it just a soverign work of God?" or "Is it the right use of appropriate means?" Guzik cited a number of fascinating examples from J. Edwin Orr's book about the Second Great Awakening in Britain.

68 A Plain Vision for Coming Persecution (brother Brian) by Principles For The Gathering of Believers

Topic: Audio Books
Scripture(s): Habakkuk 2:1-3, Habakkuk 1:1, Habakkuk 1:12-13
Description: God is merciful and He is so patient. He has shown me more mercy than anybody I know. I will never give up on the mercy of God, but I will tell you this: He will not always strive with man and there is a judgment coming to the house of God. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and He must have the preeminence in all. It’s His Church, it’s His body, it’s His Bride—and I tell you, that any Assembly where Jesus Christ is not truly the Head is sliding rapidly to the judgment of God. Here’s where we’ve got to make the vision plain; we’ve got to make it personal: do I honor Him as the Head of the house? It’s not enough for us to memorize Scripture that says that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church.

Trusting In Our Own Means Or The Power Of The Holy Spirit by Jim Cymbala

Topic: God's Work
Scripture(s): Habakkuk 1:16
Description: Jim Cymbala shares about how it is very dangerous and grieving to the Lord to trust in our own means and methods in the Church. He clearly shows that we must trust in the work of the Holy Spirit, no method works except God. God works in many ways and desires to get all the glory. May we in North America look towards God afresh for His Spirit's leading in the work of His Gospel and Church.

70 God's New Thing (brother David) by Principles For The Gathering of Believers

Topic: Audio Books
Scripture(s): Isaiah 43:16-21, Habakkuk 1:5, John 5:17
Description: This message927 was preached at a SermonIndex Revival Conference event in Wales in the Moriah Chapel church where the famous Welsh revival began in 1904. This message given by David Legge in that historic pulpit calls for a glorious new work of the Spirit of God in our day. Such a work will glorify the Lord Jesus Christ as the true Head of the Church and Lord of all creation. May we be challenged afresh to accept and look forward to God’s work in these last days.
