A Canaanite, whose daughter became the wife of Judah. Gen 38:2; Gen 38:12; 1Ch 2:3.

shōō´a:

(1) (שׁוּע, shūa “prosperity”): A Canaanite whose daughter Judah took to wife (Gen 38:2, Gen 38:12; 1Ch 2:3). See BATHSHUA.

(2) (שׁוּעא, shū‛ā’, “prosperity”): Daughter of Heber, an Asherite (1Ch 7:32).

(3) (שׁוּח, shūa, “depression”): A son of Keturah by Abraham (Gen 25:2; 1Ch 1:32), and his posterity. See BILDAD.

(4) A brother of Caleb (1Ch 4:11). See SHUHAH.
