OHOLIBAMAH (AV [Note: Authorized Version.] Aholibamah).—1. One of Esau’s wives (Gen 36:2; Gen 36:5; Gen 36:14; Gen 36:18; Gen 36:25). 2. An Edomite ‘duke’ (Gen 36:41).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia by James Orr (ed.) (1915)

ṓ-hol-i-bā´ma, -hol-i-ba´ma (אהליבמה, ’ohŏlı̄bhāmāh, “tent of the high place”):

(1) One of Esau’s wives, and a daughter of Anah the Hivite (Gen 36:2, Gen 36:5). It is strange that she is not named along with Esau’s other wives in either Gen 28:9 or Gen 26:30. Various explanations have been given, but none of them is satisfactory. There is probably some error in the text.

(2) An Edomite chief (Gen 36:41; 1Ch 1:52).
