JECONIAH or JEHOIACHIN . Son of Jehoiakim, last but one of Judah’s kings. Shortened, by omitting JAH, into CONIAH (Jer 27:20; Jer 22:24). It was virtually Jehovah’s declaration of ceasing all connection with him (Hos 9:12).
