a Congregational minister, was born at Thompson, Connecticut, about 1795. He entered Brown University, but graduated from Union College, Schenectady, N.Y., in 1816 or 1817; pursued his theological studies there under president Nott; in June 1819, was ordained pastor in Spencer, Massachusetts, and dismissed May 31, 1825. Subsequently he was pastor in East Granby, Connecticut; next in the western part of New York, and finally in or near Norwich, Connecticut, where he died in 1839. See Hist. of Spencer, page 100.
