Owen's on the Epistle to the Hebrews
John Owen (1616–1683) was an English Puritan theologian, pastor, and academic who served as vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford. His seven-volume Exposition of the Epistle to the Hebrews, published between 1668 and 1684, is widely regarded as the greatest commentary ever written on Hebrews and one of the finest works of Puritan biblical scholarship. Owen's exhaustive treatment combines deep theological reasoning with practical spiritual application.
