Psalms 113

Psalms 113THEME: A hallelujah chorus to God as Creator and RedeemerThis psalm to the majesty of God opens the Hallel psalms (113-118), which were sung at the Passover feast, the Feast of Pentecost, the Feast of Tabernacles, and probably at all feasts of Israel. This is a precious and delightful psalm of praise and worship.

Psalms 113:1

We should not take the Lord’s name in vain; we should praise the Lord. It is a praise that will never be exhausted because it is to creation’s Lord, to creation’s Redeemer.

Psalms 113:2

God is so high and lifted up that He has to stoop down in order to look into the heavens! Now notice what God is going to do:

Psalms 113:7

He is the Savior, the Redeemer!

Psalms 113:8

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! It is time, my friend, to praise the Lord. There is one thing I hope to accomplish in this study of the Book of Psalms, and that is to get folk to praise the Lord. Oh, that God’s people would praise Him! My friend, tell somebody today that God is good, then back it up with your experience of His goodness.
