McGarvey and Pendleton Commentaries
J.W. McGarvey (1829–1911) was one of the most respected scholars in the Restoration Movement, serving as professor and president at the College of the Bible in Lexington, Kentucky. Together with Philip Y. Pendleton (1861–1926), he produced commentaries on the Gospels and Acts that are considered classics of Restoration Movement scholarship, combining careful textual analysis with practical application.
