Jonathan Edwards (1703–1758) was an American Congregationalist minister, theologian, and philosopher widely regarded as one of the greatest intellects in American history. His Notes on Scripture, compiled throughout his life but published posthumously, contain penetrating observations on passages across the entire Bible. Edwards' notes reflect his extraordinary theological depth, typological imagination, and passionate devotion to the glory of God.
