Psalms 114:2

IVdah] namely, the whole Nation of Israel, (divided before the separation of the tenne Tribes into Israel and Iudah, by reason of this Tribes preheminency) which by reason of their deliverance, were a proper, peculiar, and holy Nation to God, Exod. 6. 7. & 19. 6.

Psalms 114:3

Saw it] namely, the Lord appearing in his power in the cloudy pillar: [And fled] that is to say, retired suddenly back, as it were to make way for the Lord: Poetical termes.
