Cast downe] A figurative terme taken from wrestlings: that is to say, she hath cast them out of the state of vertue and holinesse, and hath throwne them into perdition Many] that is to say, of those who have beene overthrowne by women, the greatest part of them have beene great men for valour, knowledge, dignity, and vertue. Or in this warre mans valour is overcome by the subtilty of women.
