The Daily Study Bible
William Barclay (1907–1978) was a Scottish minister, professor of Divinity at the University of Glasgow, and one of the most widely read biblical interpreters of the twentieth century. His Daily Study Bible series on the New Testament, published between 1953 and 1959, combines careful scholarship with accessible, engaging prose. Barclay was gifted at illuminating the historical, cultural, and linguistic background of the text, making the ancient world come alive for modern readers.
