Deuteronomy 34:5

Died] The time of Moses his death was in the fourtieth year, twelfth moneth, seventh day of their coming out of Egypt; and one hundred and twentieth year of his age. See upon Aarons death, Num. XXXIII. 38.

Deuteronomy 34:6

No man knoweth] The reason of concealing the place of the Burial of Moses; And Michael the Archangel his contending with the Devil, and disputing about the body of Moses, Iude ver. 9. was not revealed in the Scripture of the Old Testament. And this dispute might be, lest the Israelites knowing it, might carry it with them (as Iosephs bones) into Canaan, into which God had said, That he should not enter; or rather, That the people might not idolize it.
