02.113. Psalm 113
Psalms 113:1-9 This psalm, with the five immediately following, were called the great Hallelujah, and used to be sung at the Passover supper (Matthew 26:30). Here, (1.) We are solemnly called to celebrate the praises of God, Psalms 113:1-3. (2.) We are plentifully furnished with matter of praise, viz. the heights of his glory and greatness, and the depths of his condescension and grace, Psalms 113:4-9.
Think, O my soul, what the Lord hath done for me, and for mine, and for mankind!
