17. “I have committed the unpardonable sin.”

Show just what the unpardonable sin is:

Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in that which is to come.

Mat 12:31-32 Explain Heb 6:4-6 : For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

This describes one who “falls away,” i.e., becomes an apostate, renounces Christianity, and goes back to Judaism; not one who merely falls into sin, even deep sin, as Peter did.
